I went to eastwell manor pavillion spa on Sunday 1sept with a friend for lunch. Wow!! The place was lovely, so clean and the staff who greeted us and looked after us were so professional and friendly. We had a table by the window that looked out over the gardens and was stunning. The food was amazing. I had duck with sweet potato cake and vegetables and my friend had the chicken dish. The duck was cooked to perfection and my friend said the chicken dish was fantastic. We both finished with chocolate brownie which was mouth watering. So rich and delicious. Thank you to the chefs for making it so wonderful. We enjoyed some wine with our lunch which was lovely too. I would highly recommend a lunch here. The overall experience we had was excellent and we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you

My wife took me here for my Birthday lunch, nothing was said to her about eating in the spa area, when she booked the table! ( She thought we'd be eating at the "Big House " like we'd done before) We were redirected to the Spa Area, when we walked in, the smell of chlorine was overwhelming!(Let me say that if we were on a spa day,i wouldn't have minded) But to expect diners who are not on a spa day to accept the fact that you'll be seated among people in "fluffy white dressing gowns reeking of oils and chlorine is absolutely ridiculous!!! We were offered a table amongst all of this and asked for another table, we were shown to one which i had to clean food off the seat before i sat down! That im afraid was enough for me, i got up and walked out! How does an establishment like this have such low standards? My wife was so upset because she hadn't been told where exactly we would be eating when she booked, she wanted to treat me on my Birthday! Im afraid i would not go back to the eastwell manor,if that is what is expected of the paying customer!

you wait ages for lunch and it has to be ordered in advance. Dirty tables and glasses outside that were not collected. A very long drawn out lunch when you want to be using the spa. We wanted lunch the following day but were told we couldn't have any, not even a snack to take outside. They lost our business and we went else where.

The set 3-course lunch as part of the daily “spa” package is great value and of outstanding quality. We chose soup of the day-pumpkin and scallops starters. The scallops were small! There were a variety of complimentary breads, possibly baked on the premises . There was a very small serving of olive oil and vinaigrette dressing but no butter - it was margarine-yuk! The duck breast main in berry jus plus sweet potato gratin was excellent . The sorbet deserts plus berry coulis was outstanding. It’s a shame that the serving team were so uncoordinated , inattentive and mildly incompetent. A really nice lunch. The tables are far too close together! We asked to sit at a larger table for (nominally 4) but were told it wasn’t possible, then two young ladies were seated there, a disrespectful thing to do to two more mature diners....

This exceeded my expectations. I’ve eaten here four times now, on different spa days. Each meal has been superb - lovely food, healthy but really tasty. Lots of fish, but with meat too and really good deserts if you feel indulgent (from fruit to a chocolate brownie!).

After an exercise swim in the Pavilion Pool, I like to wait here and have a hot drink. The Champneys staff are very good, and the 'health bar' emphasis on the selection of snacks is quite fascinating. I like the new décor and the arrangements for the Spa guests. Sometimes when swimming in the evening I've found it closes at 6pm.

My partner and I had an overnight stay at Eastwell manor and ate at the Pavillion.I have never been so disappointed with food. we both enjoy eating out regularly and was expecting to have a lovely meal. Unfortunately, this was not the case.Starters: mushroom and leek soup served with no spoon and it was so salty I could not finish it, bread was rock solid all the way through, think it had been sat out for days.Main course: both my partners duck and my chicken was so overcooked it ruined it, , I couldn’t eat it. once again no cutlery.I rarely eat a pudding, but on this occasion, I had to, I was determined to get one good course, I ordered cheesecake (how could they possibly ruin a cheesecake?) to be fair the cheese cake and ice cream was lovely, but 3 half strawberries that accompanied this dish were so old, they were soft and brown, again the third and final course was ruined. Also, our bread basket was left on the table until they cleared the table after our desert. After each course I did mention my concerns to the waitress, I asked that the chef be informed of our concerns, I also mentioned it to another waitress before we left. Yes, they apologised, but that did not make up for the fact that our evening meal was terrible.I expected a touch better than average going to a place like Eastwell manor, but I will say that the food and service in McDonalds would have been better (I hate McDonalds)

The Pavilion is not far from the Eastwell Manor and offers less formal dining for guests and visitors. The interior of the restaurant won't win any awards, it's plain and has an old feel to it, but that's not the most important thing. The menu was compact with just about enough to find something to like - choices included prawns, muscles, swordfish, chicken, duck and burgers. The duck was good, the swordfish steak good. Reasonable portions.Desserts quite good, too. As with most restaurants these days, you pay over the odds for wine or beer. What stood out was the customer service. It was attentive, punctual between courses without being rushed, and unfussy. Just how I like it.

We booked this meal a while ago and at the time of booking we were asked if we wanted fine dining or Carvery. As we were booking for a Sunday lunchtime we felt that the Carvery would be the best option. We had a table booked for 8 persons at The Pavilion restaurant for last Sunday. We phoned twice that week to confirm times and numbers. On arrival we were told that we could not have the carvery as it was now a BBQ! this was Sunday 2nd October and we were very much looking forward to the planned and expected carvery. We were disappointed as we didn't want a BBQ and we had not been informed of this change even though we had only spoken to them a couple of days previously. We were seated at our table and we waited for the waitress to take our drinks order, we were left for 15 minutes so my husband went and found someone to take our drinks order. Eventually a waitress took our order but we then had to wait another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. We went up to the buffet for the starter and in all fairness, the starter was relatively nice. However, our plates were not cleared before the next course and we had to ask the bar staff if they could find someone to clear our table. The waitress didn't arrive so we cleared the plates ourselves onto the empty table next to us. We wanted to order another drink and tried to find a waitress but in the end we gave up and we went to the bar ourselves as there didn't appear to be any staff taking orders or clearing tables. The main course has to be the most shocking part of this meal, there were burgers and chilli sausages, jacket potatoes wrapped up in tin foil all in heated trays that had been there a fair while. There wasn't any chicken kebabs, any steak etc. and they had run out of burger buns! so not only did we not have our carvery we had a burger without a burger bun for our dinner. My husband and I shared the last piece of lemon meringue pie and when we asked if there was any more the answer was a definite no! but that there was still some cake left, there was also a messy looking bowl of dessert but I wasn't sure if it was messed up triffle or eaten mess, either way it didn't look very appetising. Our meal was booked for 2pm, the last sitting we were told was 2.30pm so we were well within the time frame and we can't understand why they running low on food. We will never return to Eastwell Manor and will be warning as many people as possible against visiting here. I cannot stress enough how awful this meal was.

It certainly has the setting being part of The Eastwell Manor, hotel, restaurants, and first class fitness, swimming, and golfing complex, all set in the most delightful parkland, massive gardens, and farmlands with superb uninterrupted rural views in almost every direction. However, The Pavillion Restaurant whilst very spacious lacks any real excitement or atmosphere - in terms of comfort and oomph it is a blank canvas in desperate need of remodelling both in terms of decor and lighting. This lack of vibrancy also spills over onto the menus which are very well worn and need replacing, and the speed of food service, which considering the restaurant was barely 20% full during our visit, was sedentary to say the least. The serving staff, however, rose above the overall lacklustre surroundings and were very good indeed and would have done credit to a better standard of establishment. And the food? Some good and some not so good. Our starters one crab stuffed squid was of minuscule size, and cup of melon filled with prawns, had not absolutely ripened melon....a bit hard. On the plus side we both had breast of duck with a Demi-glaze sauce which was incredibly tasty and sapid and of the highest culinary order. This could be a great eaterie given some capital investment, and dynamic care and attention.

The waiter did apologise but he obviously forgot our order. The second time was the worse, really long wait, understaffed, they had the employees from the spa serving...My afternoon tea came with no tea, went at the bar twice to ask for tea. Really dirty spoon, with dried food on it, no apology. Young staff with no experience or customer awareness.

I have visited The Pavilion twice in the past three weeks, however this is not an indication that I love the place. The first time we went as a family for the Sunday BBQ lunch with Jazz Band. On arrival we were made to wait whilst tables were re arranged as it had been assumed that when we booked 2 adults and a child meant that the child would be in a high chair. Finally shown to our table we were not asked if we would like any drinks so after 10 minutes I went to the bar myself where I stood waiting whilst the member of staff completely ignored my presence and looked at paperwork. Finally ordered some drinks. They were the only ones we had as we were never asked if we'd like more and thank goodness as my dry martini and lemonade cost £11.95! The puddings were very good, the buffet style starters and BBQ were OK. There was no service to speak of. What saved the day was the fantastic Jazz Band. Second visit was work related. We had a one hour window for a pre ordered lunch. Had the bass which was tasty, but that was all in one hour. Once again the service was dismal. Those of us waiting for dessert were told to 'come back later' when we said that we had a schedule to keep. The restaurant was not busy. Later our desserts were left on a table in a conference room on a very warm day. I won't be returning anytime soon.

My husband and I only called in on the offchance, but they managed to fit us in for a two course lunch in The Pavilion. A lovely bright, welcoming dining room and the food was fabulous. We had starters of Grilled Goats Cheese and Chicken Liver Pate, then for main course we had Red Thai Curry and Braised Feather Blade of Beef. We had a pot of tea for two and one glass of wine and it was all under £50. Very reasonably priced. We had a wander round the pretty gardens and had a look inside the Manor itself. Next time we go we will try the formal dining room, it's all so old and intersesting.

It was a disappointing experience through and through. The kitchen and management need to rethink the customer experience. £16 for my husband's an unpalatable dish of not very fresh, Luke warm salty cod, swimming is a salty, mess of roughly liquidized peas looked and tasted horrible. To add insult to injury, it was served with an undrinkable Glass of wine. Then almost laughable my risotto arrived, which was not risotto. It was undercooked long grain rice, served as risotto. Why we thought breakfast would be any better I do not know. We arrived at 8am or thereabouts, expecting the full English Breakfast we were offered through our Booking.com reservation. We found no staff in the room, just a few guests finishing bowls of cereal as that's all there was. There were only three single serving boxes of CocoPops left, a jug of milk and an empty jug of orange.A man in a suit was finally tracked down by another guest. She asked for more orange juice. Thrusting a carton of orange juice in her hands, he said we was just "too busy for breakfast."We rummaged through a cupboard to find for ourselves two different packs of cereal - rice crispies. So our full English Breakfast was a sad snap, crackle and pop.

My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times before, but have not been here recently, until our visit earlier this week. I'm sorry to say that on this visit we were very disappointed. We arrived for lunch and it was obvious that the restaurant was not very busy as there were only a few people dotted around with many unoccupied tables. We were greeted quite pleasantly which bode well and took a table outside on the terrace. Unfortunately we waited quite a time to be presented with the menus and having seen the menu came to the conclusion that the lunch menu presented nothing more than pub grub at fine dinning prices. However, we made our selection and waited for our order to be taken. . . . and we waited and waited. In the end we decided to leave and take our custom elsewhere.

Had a pleasant lunch at The Pavilion restaurant Eastwell Manor. It's the restaurant attached to the spa and gym. Quite acceptable food, not over-ambitious, but nice for a light lunch and well cooked. Service OK. But the restaurant had a lot of women in dressing gowns doing 'pamper days' at the spa. Apart from the fact that they were loud and giggly, the dressing-gown brigade really drags down the tone of the place for other diners. Could the spa clients in dressing gowns not have their lunch somewhere else in a private room, or else in an area that is screened off from other guests.

Just has a lovely afternoon tea here. I was a little worried as I had read mixed reviews about it being inadequate and the sandwiches and cakes not being replenished once you had eaten them all but I need not have worried. Me and my party of 4 family members were full after various delicious finger sandwiches, cakes and scones. The finger sandwiches were double finger width and well packed with salmon and prawn, egg, beef and something something else that I can't remember. The cakes were light and delicious with a nice flavor variety and the scones weren't heavy. The tea and coffee was free refills. My only 2 small gripes were that there wasn't enough clotted cream with the scones and as we were a party of 5, the table and seating was a little snug, with 2 dining type chairs and a 3 seater sofa that was quite low. We asked for an additional chair to be placed at the end of the table which they did quite happily but sitting on the low sofa got a little uncomfortable once you started eating as you are a little scrunched up. Sitting at a larger, higher table with proper dining chairs meant for 5 people would have been better for comfort and the digestion so please bear this in mind if there are more than 4 of you going.Overall it was delicious and worth the money, not a cheap treat but worth doing for a special occasion. The staff are very friendly and well presented and the grounds are beautiful.

I telephoned to book a table for lunch on Saturday for a family Birthday lunch and the gentleman I spoke to did not to mention that it was a BBQ lunch with jazz. I have to say, this would not have been an issue as I have had many a lovely Sunday BBQ lunch over the years with a super group of mature jazz musicians at the Pavillion but have not been to the there for possibly 6 years (apart from a recent spa day). Things have gone seriously downhill. Firstly to be invited to the food tables to help ourselves to our starter was where alarm bells started to ring - a tray of prawns, tray of pate, a pasta and rice dish that looked like they had seen better days and a bowl of tomato and cucumber. Everything looked so unappealing and of poor quality. The BBQ meat was 'stored' in large silver vessels with lids. There was a wide selection but the meat had clearly been sitting there for a while. I thought the beauty of a BBQ was having freshly cooked meat put straight onto your plate?!? The bread - white flour bap, once again of poor quality. As I was helping myself to some meat one of the waiters walked along the table opening up all of the silver vessels and leaving them open. Why?? Was this a sign to move on? Was lunch technically over? Surely arriving for lunch at 1.30 was not considered a late lunch? Pudding was to be served to us at the table and I ordered the apple pie. It reminded me of Aunt Bessie's apple pie, thick gloupy sauce, horrid pastry together with cold custard. Coffee was a 'help yourself 'from a machine. No hot water left and only one cup and saucer. To be fair, both were rectified on request speedily. Now for the major issue, we had come for lunch to chat and enjoy each other's company. The minute the young jazz musicians started playing we honestly could not hear each other speak. It was unbelievably loud and I could not even have a conversation with my son sitting next to me. I spoke to a waiter to ask if we could move and he could not hear what I was saying!! The band seemed a lovely young group of lads who I am sure were very talented however it was Saturday lunch not a concert. The waiter did offer us another table but my mother would not have been able to negotiate the steps down to this table and to be honest I am not sure it would have made any difference to the noise. We were given 10% off our bill which was a kind gesture but really could not make up for such a disappointing experience. I would have much preferred to have paid £30/40 and had good quality food than £20 for three very poor courses.

After a lovely session at the Dreams Spa it was time to go to the Pavilion for our lunch booking. On arrival they had no record of our booking which had been made the day before. Staff suggested that we had booked in the main restaurant. I pointed out that I knew where I had booked. I was told fortunately that they weren't busy although had they been it would have saved me from an expensive disaster. The table we were shown to, away from the wind tunnel effect of all doors & windows open plus air conditioning, was neither comfortable or inviting. The seating was similar to a burger joint. After asking for the rusty knife to be changed & sweeping the breakfast crumbs away the disinterested staff took our order. I had Duck terrine & my wife had Thai fish cakes both starters were bland uninteresting & clearly mass produced. When our mains arrived, I had pasta & my wife had the house burger. The pasta was acceptable, nothing special, the salad leaves were clearly out of a packet with root ends & black bits included. The burger was a disaster all of it's own coming complete with melted plastic wrapping inside the bun!!!!!!When I complained to the waitress I was told we would get a discount off the price of our meal. She took away the bun & changed the salad. Whilst we were waiting for the meal to return I noted the elderly couple at the table next to us had to complain that they had been waiting almost half an hour for 2 Panini's only to be told that the machine had stopped working. They were also told they would get 20% off their meal .Having finished part of our meal we decided against having a sweet & asked to pay the bill. After an extremely long wait our waitress finally returned to take payment. This came to just over £46 ( after £4.97 was deducted for the plastic) including two soft drinks & one coffee. As we left the waitress asked the elderly couple next to us how their meal had been to which she replied 'she was disappointed' most of it was still on the plate. As a rule if standards are high in an establishment linked to somewhere like Eastwell Manor you could perhaps forgive the over inflated prices if the experience matches the expectation. However the quality of the food was underwhelming as was that of the service. Over the years we have visited Eastwell Manor on various occasions for different experience's but this was the first time we have eaten at the Pavilion. It will be our last. The management need to take a serious look at the standards in the Pavilion as it has a long way to go to live up to the expectations of people who would use facilities that claim to provide excellence.

The jazz was okay, but the food, it was dire, dried meat, the beef was on its way to being jerky. None of what was offer had been near a BBQ.I have previously dined in the Manor restaurant and it was very good, but this: Eastwell Manor management was a poor show, no excuses for this poor quality food, badly delivered. Embarrassed to have taken my guests and felt the need to apologise to them.We had booked as advised the day before but when we arrived the had no record of the booking, as it was the venue wasn't busy.

decided to eat outside at the Pavilion today after swim in the pool, pleasant location, good food and service spoilt by other customers lack of control over their children, allowing them to throw giant chess set down the hill while screaming and crying ( not hotels fault) I was restrained from wacking parents and children. Lovely meal spoilt by selfish parents, but staff could have maybe ask them to refrain.

Not all dishes available, rude waiter and staff milling around in Reception. Not a good image. I will not be visiting The Pavilion again.

i have eaten in the main restaurant a number of times, on a sunday, and it has always been very good. they didnt have any tables, so we were booked into "the bistro" restaurant instead. this is in fact the pavilion restaurant joined onto the spa, hidden away from the main hotel. from the outside it looks like an old peoples home, and from the inside the restaurant is much the same. it is as far away from a bistro as you could get. a 'serve yourself' carvery, beef was very chewy (and we were the first people served) it has the ambience/atmosphere of a retirement home in eastbourne, all the other diners were wearing dressing gowns as they had come from the spa, there was a three piece 'jazz' band murdering all the classic songs you know and love, the food is pricey. £20 for a very average roast, and they charged us for soda water, which was rather mean. the staff were ok, but if you want a nice place for a sunday roast, this isnt it

Food was the worst I have ever been served! Vegetables were hard, food was lukewarm! Looking around a lot of people just left their dinners! (Would probably explain why there were 2 women being sick in the toilets! Disco was ok, although a lot of people left so the atmosphere was lacking. I felt having the wii on the dance floor made it look tacky and may entice the "wrong" type of cientel to a nice hotel. Drinks expensive but I expected that. A lot of staff chatting at the reception desk about their social life!

Took my friend to Eastwell Manor Pavilion for a Cream Tea on her 80th Birthday, what a lovely experience, light and fluffy scones, lots of clotted cream and jam, she was over the moon. We took the opportunity to look round the Spa , we were made very welcome, the pool looked very inviting, and as we live local we thought we might join the Gym.

The Pavillion Restaurant at Eastwell Manor is a magnificent site in the grounds of Eastwell Manor. The restaurant itself is very attractive. On arrival we were "waved" towards the restaurant door by the member of staff at the circular reception desk. The food was acceptable but very average - obvious case of a lot of pre-packaged food and certainly no expertise from a chef. The staff were not trained, and had no idea what was on the plate prior to serving e.g. offering salmon and salad to a diner when the plate contained sea bream and vegetables! We were offered a drink at the start but not asked again for further drink order during the meal, so we only had one each.Visiting the toilets was an experience. The down stairs loos were locked and on enquiry I was directed up two flights of stairs to use the "ladies" attached to a wedding party venue. The roller towel was out of towel at 8.00pm and still out of towel at 10.00. My sister decided to use the disabled toilet which did not flush! We reported this to the receptionist in the foyer and she just nodded her head. We will not be going back.

After hearing much about the famed Eastwell manor I was sorely disappointed. Whilst I accept we did not eat in the manor house and therefore did not expect the fine dining treatment, what we did receive was on par with my local wetherspoons in terms of food quality, but not whetherspoons prices I hasten to add. The staff were attentive, no complaints there. My steak (£16) was very undercooked, the mash potato was awful (and in very small supply, just a tiny dollop on the plate) and both my veg and my partners were burnt....yes you read right....burnt. Hard, tough and generally overlooked. My girlfriend had the burger and one side of it was so burnt I thought we'd need a priest to finish the cremation! I refused to eat my meal and sent it back, my partner eat half of the burger but didn't finish it or eat the veg. To be fair they didn't charge us for either meal and offered us a complimentary return meal if we wished. The problem I have here, is had I have been in a pub this would have all been tolerable perhaps, at gastro pub prices, but what pushed me into action was the realisation this was not a cheap meal, purportedly cooked by a chef, and I was sitting in Eastwell manor! In terms of the ambience all I can say is I was very underwhelmed. No charm, pub style seats around the edge, children running hither and tither and blasting cold air con. Whilst I appreciate people with children need to eat out, I think there should be a sense of occasion and children should be seen and not heard in such a place, it's after all a country club brasserie not the local harvester! You only have to read other views on here to see there is an issue, acknowledged by the management in their responses, question is......when will they pull their fingers out. To the management- if you want to be a pub and serve pub grub then act like it, drop your prices and stop claiming you have a chef....you don't, a cook at best! Otherwise up your game considerably. I ended up getting a macdonalds on the way home.....a good evening ruined.

Had a days golf at the Pavilion which included breakfast which I must say was excellent. Coffee was a little weak but apart from that it was as I say excellent. My wife and daughter joined me for lunch and although we have had issues with the Pavilion catering it managed to surpass themselves apart from my wife's toasted sandwich. My daughter and I ordered Nicoise salad which was truly superb - well done chef. My wife however will offer to teach chef how to do a toasted sandwich!

Arriving at Eastwell Manor on a grey mid week afternoon we swept up the long driveway taking in the wonderful scenery as we went. I really wasn't sure what to expect and was a bit apprehensive that it could be a little snooty. However the staff could not of been more welcoming and as it was late afternoon we had a pick of where to sit in the restaurant. The food was great and I particularly liked the deserts, thoroughly recommend the creme brulee! I have to give a special mention to Peter who was very attentive to our needs and proudly informed us he makes the best cappuccinos in Kent (which he does!). We had a great experience at the Pavilion and will definitely be coming here again.

Dropped in for a lunch with some of my family. Good lunchtime choice and pleased to hear that they only cooked burgers "we'll done". Well presented food and good coffee. Just one moan - the wine I ordered was in available so they served an alternative which when I came to pay the bill as more expensive than that ordered. They forgot to tell me that! So complained and got the original price. Otherwise really enjoyable.

I found it really hard to give this place an accurate rating. I went to The Pavilion at Eastwell Manor with a family party for Mother's Day. Much of the experience I'd give a really good review. The starter & dessert choices were a fantastic for a buffet, offering a great selection of fish, soup, cheese & cakes. The atmosphere was great - live music at a volume that you could enjoy but still hear the conversation. The standards seemed to slip some what at main course. For those who chose the fish pie we were served vegetables that were almost cold even under the heat lamps. The roast was passable as the gravy seemed to heat up the cold veg. It's a nice place but I don't think it quite delivered what was expected.

Lunch at The Pavillion @ Eastwell Manor was a truly wonderful experience! Wood Pigeon starter was perfectly cooked and presented (A difficult bird to perfect at the best of times), and the other dishes in our party seemed just as good! It was one of those times when you felt that you wanted to try a mouthful of everyone else's meal! The service was perfectly paced, allowing time for the previous course to be savoured and to settle. The mains were ample, and delicious! Serious Congrats to the Chef here! The ambience - although busy, was relaxed and gentle - no fear of being rushed or hassled. The waiting staff were all very professional and engaging too! Well Done Eastwell...................will definately be returning.............VERY soon! Not a bad word, or thought to say about it...............even the bill seemed very reasonable for the quality and service we received. We all left feeling quite full too!

I was invited to a "Xmas evening " on Sat 10th dec I have never been to eastwell manor before And my expectations were very high was told it was a manor house 5 star. Welllll" the pavilions part of eastwell manor is NOT an old manor house with beams open fires character and 5 star! It is more cold uncharacteristic very boring and dull.Firstly we was not greeted -had no idear where to go to take our coats have a drink! First thing I spotted was a swimming pool! Secondly when we did eventually find our room which was upstairs it was freezing so I kept my coat on.Then the bar was not in the same room as the eating area! But downstairs? Ridiculous Part of the entertainment was a roulette game but this was on the side of the dance floor aNd a very uninterested person was in charge of that. When we went to have a go after our meal it had been packed up! Ridiculous again. Also the dance floor was down stairs so everyone was all over the place. Eat upstairs go down for a drink back up to sit with friends back down for a dance! Not my idear of a good evening more an exercise class. Now get me started on the food! I'm a vegetarian well the chestnut thing! Had no taste At all it was dry and boring come on yr a 5 star hotel/restaurant u can do better. I did not see the premises in the day light which I am told is a shame but the evening does nothing to whooooo me back.My rating for yr evening would be 2 out of 10

This review is purely about the The Pavillion Brasserie, have not stayed in Eastwell Manor hotel or mews so cannot comment. Basically we had a booked well in advcance a table of 9 for a relatives birthday. We were disappointed as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. The girl at the desk claimed we had not made a reservation so I asked to speak to the manager. He was very rude and made me out to be a liar when I said I had booked a table! Why would I turn up at a restaurant with 9 people ithout a reservation?! He then promised he would make up a table and told us to wait in the bar. When we eventually sat down It took ages to be served. The food was highly disapointing, someone in our party ordered steak hollandaise, without the hollandaise sauce as the waitress claimed the kitchen had no eggs! The egg on my ham egg and chips was not cooked and was like slime dripping off my fork (I had the last egg it seems) and no one else particularly enjoyed their food. We asked to speak to the manager, he came down and said he would "do anything to make us happy again" to which we never saw him again. The service was slow and very very poor, the young teenagers they have employed seem to have no clue about service and clearly can't wait to get home after their shift. The service got no better even after we had left the restauarant! We asked the guy at the desk to call us a taxi as none of us had signal on our phones. We waited for 45 minutes in the rain and no taxi arrived. When we went back in to find out what was going on, the restaurant was closed!! I expected way more from this restaurant as have heard such wonderful things about Eastwell Manor. The food choice can ony be describe as "pub grub" and for this price is not acceptable!
