Costa Coffee in Ashford

Never have I ever been treated so bad by this women all I did was ask her to clean table for me when she was chatting abd she tried to grab my coffee saying I couldn't stay for asking for a clean table she sprayed me with the cleaner just asked for a table to be clean I think she us the manager a face like thunder I've been lucky my friends always comment on how rude she is but this is the first time I have had this it's mot acceptable for her to behave that way I just wanted a clean table abd a booth seat and a coffee cause she was chatting to her friends then she went around the cafe asking for people's details Other staff are the best they work hard and smile and are professional not alot staff but I will not be treated this way grabbing my coffee telling me I'm getting a refund and spraying me with cleaner I usually give good feex back but she need to stap this behaviour she said her friend is a valued customer I couldn't believe her irashional behaviour I just wanted a clean table

Got expensive so I don't often use

This costa store in particular always seems to rush their order even when there is no queue or when not busy. This has lead to multiple of my drinks throughout time to be obviously rushed in aesthetics and taste. Particularly with in drinks like salted caramel frappe they very very bearly drizzle the caramel sauce in the cup and put the most minimum required creme in whereas in other stores like in folkestone they seem to have no problem using a decent and equal amount every time. I adore costa drink but i just dont think that i’ll be ordering from this one.

The staff are always wonderfully friendly and efficient, everything is made quickly, and the flat whites are delicious!

Felt sorry for the young lady on her own, taking the orders then making up the orders,was getting busy.

Over priced tasteless, why people pay good money for this makes no sense. Staff are nice though.

Dirty. Mould on ceiling. Tables had empty cups ect. tea comes in a very large glass mug with a tea bag had to use a stick to fish it out.

Need a wider selection of food.

Absolutely useless place you arrive at 3.20 and they cannot serve closing at 4pm not the later time stated on opening hours .thus is the second month had same problem so I had to go to Starbucks about time they sorted place out or shut it down

The two girls who served are so horrible. The shop looks very untidy and cake looks old. I will never go back there.

Me and my friends often come there for coffee but weve noticed that those two girls serving are very rude . And always looks angry. Never smiled and really horrible.

Ordered a hot chocolate and a cake, told the man I am southeastern staff, so should get a 10% discount. After the transaction, he told me he forgot to apply the discount, so he is going to give the person after me a free cake? (Not the first time this same person has 'forgotten' my discount). When I left with my hot chocolate I opened it and the cup was literally about half full. Absolutely shocking experience.

Bad customer experience today.

Had a blueberry bubble frapè very nice. Was served by the manager and she was smiling and chatty and welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

Two very rude staff. Couldn’t wait to get rid of us at the counter so they could continue their conversation. There wasn’t even a queue. Got my order wrong then pressured me on whether I wanted them to change it. Not a pleasant experience.

I decided to stop off for a cappuccino at Costa in county Square Ashford. I was feeling very tired after I over done it following an operation. The service was great and I was welcomed by the manager Claire I believe her name was. Professional, kind and very helpful. She could tell I looked tired and needed a rest spot. She was so helpful and made sure I got served quickly and was comfortable. To be honest feeling exhausted and over doing it, Costa was a great place to stop at for a bit. Claire came over to the table to make sure I was ok to see if I needed anything else. I decided to try the reindeer cup cakes whilst I got my energy levels back up. They were so delicious! I’ve been back here a couple of times and the staff always welcome you with a smile, especially Claire the manager. What a great team!

Dirty needs pulling down and rebuilding asap

Was .a but in the slow side they was doing orders for delivery and they seemed to be more important than the people queuing

It is absolutely fine. I used it to wait for my husband who was visiting the Opticians. There is plenty of space and the service is good.

Hot chocolate was barely warm. Cream topper was a bit odd. Not impressed.

Needed to grab a coffee quickly and it was great that Costa Coffee was allowing take away food and drinks. They are following the Covid 19 guidelines to the letter and the staff were friendly and helpful. Things are clearly tough for them at the moment, however, the service was quick and I was only there for less than 5 minutes in total. Coffee was up to the usual high standard

Popped in here for a after 8 mocha. Told me they did not do it. To which I replied...you do as I have had it at every other outlet I have been to. This made the staff a little angry. Because I presume they had another button on the till to press. I then went to pay and told me they did not accept my money as it said bank of Scotland on it. I said that every other shop I had been in that morning did not have an issue as all had accepted the money. The spotty chimp making the coffee with no mask on behind the counter came across and promptly said . "I'm acting manager and I am not accepting it" I was firstly surprised that he masterd evolution let alone string a sentence together. We are now in a lovely cafe round the corner who have gladly accepted my money.

Very clean and tidy food arrived fast too

Superb as always! My prior concerns over Costa redressing their standard coffee blend to a much weaker, less robust roast now seem to have disappeared. I'm glad that those bods at head office listened to their customers, who were leaving in droves because of that particular faux pas!! See you again soon!!

A bit hit and miss at this Costa

A great cafe located within County Square. They have the usual offering from what you'd expect at a Costa with drinks, food and snacks. Plenty of seating within the foyer area of the shopping precinct.

The Costa products are good and usually reliable - nice coffee and cakes. The problem, as goes for many Costas, is the overall cleanliness and efficiency. We were in there for about 45 mins over an hour before closing time. In all that time no tables were cleared or cleaned so people had to sit amongst crumbs, spillages and dirty crockery. Only one toilet unlocked, presumably to cut down on cleaning at the end of the day. Three staff on duty so that wasn’t the problem. Staff sometimes walked empty handed past tables laden with dirty crockery and didn’t even think to pick up the tray. Come on Costa, set some basic principles for your managers and do some spot inspections. When we’re still getting covid cases the least you can do is clean your tables occasionally.

Amazing latte, amazing barister and amazing company

I have been a costa customer for years and now there open been in a couple of times for a coffee today sunday 23rd a young girl clearing table sweeping floor etc... Was very rude to me becouse I tried to put my bag on the seat while i got my coffee and something to eat. 4 youngsters were in front of me but had take out coffee being made i was acused of queue jumping they were not even sitting in. I said id go elsewhere and walked off but was upset at being spoken to in such a manner so went back and let the girl know i was very upset. I then went elsewhere for a coffee and toast will not be going back to costa in town

Working hours is not correct on Google, not sure closing 5 or 5.30 pm

Long queues due to covid (although that can't really be helped) but drinks orders were also mixed up. Generally though we have no problems.

The Manager, is very rude. I waited over 20 minutes as they were busy so rather than the Manager step in and help she just started moaning at the staff. She stood there doing nothing while tables needed clearing and cleaning. Cant fault the staff, just get rid of her!

Best in ashford always clean tables staff very friendly. Can sit and chat for as long as you want. When the hot chocolate wasnt quite right the girl made another one straight away with no bother not at all like the cafe in Debenhams where everything was just to much for the staff. I always meet my friend here good place for coffee bun and chat

My regular coffee shop. Bit hit and miss with speed and accuracy but they remember who you are and they are on average always friendly so definitely recommend this outlet.

Toasties and drinks for a lunchtime stop. This fit the bill and we could sit in the sunshine even though it was indoors thanks to the glass in the roof.

Smiley friendly staff. They always know what I have. Fabulous coffee.

For a almost pop up like coffee shop couldnt fault it it's our go to when Xmas shopping and well when passing through the main town inside area

Lovely coffee shop to visit anytime any day whether your going just for a coffee or having lunch out excellent service great food and the Staff are always very polite and very happy to help with anything else you might need very clean and we will definitely recommend them and will continue coming here again. Always greeted with a smile when I order my flat white. Had a toasted teacake this time with plenty of butter supplied. Great place to people watch in the town centre and I have to say I do prefer Costa for their coffee. Personal choice I know but it tastes better than others.

Its right in the middle of the shopping center and as theres no walls it gets bloody cold during the winter. The manager (Im guessing shes the manager, shes been there since the day before forever) is a bit scatty but nice enough. Is an ok coffee shop but its gone down hill since Shawn (hope thats right spelling) left

Of all the coffee houses to choose from in Ashford, why would you want to go here.Certainly not for the services and cleanliness. My experience today was dreadful. My wife and I ordered two coffees and food; the coffee was good, but surely they can't get that wrong, can they? There were 3 staff on, two of which were acting the fool, the guy who took the order treated us as though we weren't there, throwing my wife's credit card back after processing it, great. The tables were filthy and full of used crockery, sticky seats and tables and the trays have a rim of dirt and filth around the edges, all in need of a thorough clean. Perhaps if the staff took an interest in the place it would be half decent. Costa Coffee, your only as good the impression portrayed by your staff to your customers and it doesn't cut it here. Also, your scores on the doors certificate which is displayed for all to see ran out in September 2013. does that tell you something. . . . . ! Get your act in order, disgusting procedures for renown company.

So dirty, the table was not clean, the sofa was so filthy and sticky . Make me feel sick. I was with my kids and believe me it was not pleasant at all. I can't finish my coffee, we just left. No nice place. No going to have coffee in this place again .

No different from any other coffee shop.

First visit for sometime....... and they have re vamped the place....... it was early morning so the place was clean and tidy not like previous experiences when we had to clear the table and the place always seemed grubby...... had the porridge breakfast which was good and tea which was awful...... and all expensive for what it was. The new furniture should prove an interesting challenge for some...... and it is not comfortable!

Been there twice in the last 3 weeks. Both times l found plenty of tables to sit at..but none cleared and wiped clean ..today I cleared a table myself and sat on the bench table against the wall..it was filthy..with ground in food crumbs and stains from drinks. the staff look really fed up and miserable..not at all friendly..l will not be returnkng

We were a bit early in Ashford so we decided to have a coffee. Friendly staff (even at 8:30 in the morning)

Right in the middle of the shopping precinct (County Square, used to be Tufton Centre), with tables in a dedicated area. Staff are helpful, but when I visited the dishwashing machine had been out of action for some hours, and all drinks were served in takeaway cardboard cups.

Really friendly service. Only popped in for a couple of cakes but the lady gave our us some marshmallows and flake chocolates as well as a treat for our little boy. Very kind! Thank you!
