Good pub Good food there's a lot to like in the old oak a larger selection of ales would make it even better but still well worth a visit

Waiting staff seemed uninterested. When food arrived there was only a few chips for both of us and was told that was the correct amount

We go to the Old Oak Tree on a regular basis the food is first class always made welcome staff very efficient and friendly would recommend a visit you won't be disappointed.

Service outstanding, warm reception, relaxing atmosphere. Clean throughout. What's not to like.

Best Sunday lunch in Thirsk, meat, yorkshires, mash, roast potatoes, cauli cheese, veg and a gravy boat per person - kitchen also bakes great puddings like real banoffee pie and bakewell tart.

Went for a meal December. Staff and service excellent. Came away though not feeling it was value for money unfortunately. Had pie and chips - pie didn’t have a base or sides so not a pie by my reckoning and menu stated ‘with chips or mash and vegetables’ but according to staff that no longer applied so had ‘pie’ and chips and no veg for thick end of £16.

We are locals, new to area, had a lovely Sunday lunch, so went back 22nd December, Omg! What a difference! Young man at bar very pleasant, then left with two young girls, one which was completely spaced out, and other just not there! At least spaced out one took our order . Food completely disappointing, Didn't recieve full order, Over priced for what we did get! Supposed to be special occasion and just took the p __! Won't be back

Leuk hotel, kamers iets gedateerd maar schoon en netjes, eten hier is een aanrader het restaurant is namelijk zeer goed. Een leuke en gezellige bar is er ook. Personeel en eigenaren zijn supervriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Warm and friendly family run with great home cooked food

Booked for a Christmas 🎄 dinner with my 89 year old mum..Drove up from Leeds.. Sat us at a table with low chairs in the bar area, spoke to them 3 different times on the phone regarding the Christmas Dinner menu, only to get there and wasn't booked for the Christmas menu ..Disappointed was a understatement

Really great place to stay. Large car park. The accommodation is a separate building to the pub. Quiet. Breakfast huge and excellent. Would recommend.

We always stay here with the dog when visiting family. Rooms are ideal for what we need with a big dog and you can't go wrong with the breakfast

3 of us went for lunch. As a vegan I'm always a bit worried about my choices. Although there was little choice, what I had, a Thai curry was lovely and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and I will return at some point. All I ask for is more choice.

Met up with old friends for a mid week evening meal whilst away on holiday with our dog. Staff were wonderful , looked after us and the dog ! Food was great , never tried a "Parmo" before and it didn't disappoint.

A good pub with rooms. Lovely outside seating area. Standard pub grub menu though with some additions like partridge. Chips were disappointing. A small mistake was very quickly and efficiently dealt with. Space at the rear for campervan stopovers, it is best to book ahead though.

The room was fab the breakfast was so nice and the staff were so friendly and so helpful definitely recommend. We were at a wedding down the road, if I knew how nice this was I would have stayed longer

We stopped here for dinner and drinks, the crew here couldn't have been more accommodating, a vast and varied menu with a special board too. Definitely worth a visit

I want to rate the rooms four and half but couldn't & that's only because the bathroom door wasn't the easiest doors to close + the sealant around the shower screen could do with renewing but that's just being picky. Spent 3 Nights staying at the Old Oak Tree. Absolutely 1st class. Food excellent, accommodation first class and clean and tidy and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Would thoroughly recommend.

We stopped en-route towards Seahouses in Northumberland. To be honest it doesn't look much from the outside (front) but the staff were warm and welcoming. The food is to die for. Just good home cooked pub food.

A lovely local pub with a impressive Garden/Patio Area. Food always fantastic here, not the cheapest, but again it's better than your typical "Pub Grub" so worth the bill. Service fantastic, bar staff always ready and keen, helpful and fun. Waitresses always attentive and concise. I would recommend to anybody.

Good little pub near thirsk. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. I had the fish pie which was delicious. Plenty of fish. My husband had the rump steak which he enjoyed. Only complaint was the chicken nuggets off the kids menu. My daughter tried them but they weren't great. More like a fish batter which was greasy and overcooked. Maybe we made the wrong choice for her.
