The Market Square Kitchen in Dover

Such a nice atmosphere on a cold winter day (flooded with sunshine)! Great service and food at the Market Square Kitchen. You can tell that it is a place locals like to go to. Friendly staff. I had the halloumi avocado on sourdough and a peach ice tea and I enjoyed them both! Thank you!

We popped in for a quick coffee at this excellently located cafe. Service was prompt and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The food looked tasty- although we didn’t try any! We’ll certainly drop in again when time allows and sample the food, the menu looked excellent.

Lovely host, excellent food and delicious wine, just the spot to pop in for lunch or coffee and cake, look forward to dropping in again.

Was one of my favourite places but seems the quality has slipped salad looked very old And not as fresh as it used to be Shame because it’s in a good location

It took over 40 mins to get two salads when there were very few customers and many empty tables. If I hadn't already paid, I would have cancelled as I had an appointment to go to. So I accepted takeaways as there was no time left to eat. Attended my appointment then we had the most expensive salads in a cardboard plate in the car. Not a very happy bunny! The food itself was not bad. But if you're in a rush, don't bother!

The Market Square Kitchen serves wonderful food with the local flair. The breakfast I ordered was well above my expectation and the staff and service were exceptional. If you are in Dover looking for a quick meal and coffee you can not make a bad choice here.

A fantastic location with outside seating offering good range of food and decent coffee. The service can be a bit hit and miss when very busy but overall highly recommended.

Good choice for a coffee and a light lunch. Lovely freshly cooked, served with a smile. The added sunshine made this a great spot for a rest.

After completing the North Downs Way, we were very pleased to discover this lovely tearoom. All the food is freshly prepared, and uses local ingredients where possible. The menu has plenty of choice, and we had a good lunch of sandwiches and coffees.

Me and my friends have Visited this place twice now the first time the breakfast was not nice atall with the halloumi being really thick and tasteless and eggs undercooked and we thought perhaps it might just be a bad unusual experience so when we came a second time and experienced even more bland food we certainly won’t be risking a third time! Food is not good. Cakes are also poorly made! Save your money and go elsewhere.

Had breakfast and a coffee here. The square is undergoing construction so nothing much to look at out the window. But the food and staff was great.

We called in here for a coffee whilst wandering around Dover. A bonus that they allow dogs inside and the two flat whites we had were lovely.

The staff served us in a timely manner, The menu was appealing and the food perfect size portions was also lovely and fresh definitely recommend 5*

For location, atmosphere, and service this in my opinion is worth 5 stars. It ranks in the top five cafes I've had the pleasure to dine at. I'd be here every day if I lived close by. Has a lovely European flavour.

Food was fantastic and fresh the coffee was delicious, amazing choice of cakes and even local produce on sale. Nice little find. Staff were fantastic and so so busy literally run of there feet yet still done a fantastic job. We were in a group and food came out close together and freshly made 😋. The two ladies a blonde and dark haired u done great.. thank you for the service during your busy period keep up the good work 👏

Had a Chicken, pesto, rocket and mozzarella baguette. It was more substantial than I expected and full of flavour, with a serving of crisps on the side. The staff were all pleasant too.

They started out great, and Danielle is lovely. The food is excellent as is the coffee. But they have a blond woman working their now that brings the atmosphere down. All it takes is one person that appears to not really like their job and makes customers feel like they're just an annoyance.

Simple menu, fresh , reasonably priced , prompt service, super clean , great selection of drinks. Great spot in centre of town to watch the world go by with a coffee and cake.
