Lovely family Sunday lunch with amazing views over the harbour upstairs at the Mariner. Food was absolutely delicious. Our first time here but will not be the last!

Lovely place. We were lucky enough to sit on one of the benches at the front of the pub, was lovely in the sunshine. Food was good and the staff were exceptional, going out of their way to make sure everything was ok

What a great pub /restaurants when in for a drink was going to eat somewhere else left got to where normal eat had one drink and walked back to the mariner food great food new landlord very helpful

Lovely meal here with a beautiful view. The muscles were gorgeous. This place deserves to be much busier than it was! Lovely service from Tierney also. Highly recommend!

Came to Folkestone for the day and had dinner Upstairs at The Mariner. The food was lovely, very tasty food and great produce. All the mains came with sides included so the price for the mains was impressive. T the waitress was great and really looked after us. Would 100% visit again.

Heard about their menu, and the location is 5 star, so thought we would try the restaurant. We were not disappointed... The staff are so friendly and professional, 5 star service, and the table we had over looking the harbour was beautiful, I loved the decor, it was simple and stylish, loved the scallop style curtains and the extras in the ladies toilets were a nice touch. We enjoyed the food and drink and will definitely be back, I would I recommend this wonderful restaurant and pub xxx

Excellent location with a lovely dining area upstairs. The food is tasty, and the staff are warm and welcoming. A great spot for families. There's a large car park just a 8-minute walk away.

Really nice meal with the in-laws today at the newly opened Mariner. They’ve only just started doing food again apparently but everything was fantastic 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Steve and the team were really nice and even made our dog feel welcome! Would recommend booking as the restaurant area isnt huge (we were told a bar menu is coming soon though) but well worth it if you can get a spot 😋🥩🙌🏻

We had a very lovely sunny Saturday afternoon here drinking some delicious real ales (proper beer!) and some snazzy g&t’s. We’ll be back again soon when the kitchen opens in a couple of weeks, but the Kentish charcuterie and gin pickles eggs were more than enough to keep us going this time around!

What an awesome little pub! Steve, the landlord, was super helpful and chatty, gave us a tour of the newly refurbished pub, and even a sneak peak at the upstairs dining room and food menus that are coming soon at the end of March. Great selection of beers- the Guinness is great- and so refreshing to have a dog friendly and family friendly pub by the waterfront. We’ll be back!

Lovely new opening of this seaside pub. The interiors been overhauled and is welcoming, clean and has a great chilled atmosphere. With brilliant views of the harbour.

Really enjoyed my experience at The Mariner .The staff were police, professional and welcoming. There was a great selection a f quality drinks and the place was well presented and cozy. The pub itself is a perfect distance from the seafront so will definitely perfect place in the summer 😁

Staff very pleasant and accommodating. Busy when we were there but they coped very well. Found out it had only reopened recently. I wish them all the best for the future. I think they will do well.

Sadly, this pub has been closed for 8 months but will be reopening in December, even though it is marked as open.

This is a REAL English pub. The food is Really good and the Guinness is quite good too!

In the historic fish market area of Folkestone. Great Indian cuisine. Nice ales etc.

What a great find! Called in just for a drink and made a general enquiry about eating options. We were shown the main menu plus a 'special deal menu' which was for two. Well I have to say we had two times the special menu as there was four of us. The food was superb. We will certainly be going back and our family members that came with us that live locally will be going back too.

Great pub, very friendly and welcoming to strangers. We had a lovely Indian meal upstairs and a few drinks in the pub downstairs. Perfect evening.

A very spacious pub. The Landlord was very friendly and obliging. My Wife has a gluten allergy and the Chef prepared fish and chips in gram flour, which my Wife enjoyed very much. The menu is Indian street food based, apart from fish and chips, or scampi and it was very good. Cask ale was also in good condition. A very friendly and welcoming pub, I would definitely visit again.

Great real ale. Pub was packed for both football and rugby. Safe atmosphere.

Popped in the other day for a beer, the chap on the bar was really lovely and told us all about their restaurant too. So hoping we will get in for some food soon. Quiet but we were early. Child friendly too which is good (didn’t bring my kids but other children were in).

Awful food. Nachos were obviously made using cheap squeeze bottle sauces. The tasteless cheese and sauces was coagulated before it arrived at the table. My partners fish and chips were heavily salted (without consent) and he found the fish unpalatable. He compared it to cheap frozen products. Although my partner was refunded his money, no one was concerned enough to check my meal was ok. Won’t go back.

Poor, run down, smokey place. Where we were seated, the floor was covered with food and looked like it had not been vacuumed for a week. Some staff appeared to be disinterested in our order, didn't listen and subsequently got it wrong!!

Popped in on a Sunday evening (around 9:15pm) and was quieter than I expected. Lovely location, managed to bag an outside table to view the harbour at sunset. Good draft lager, and the barmaid was great and attentive. As I said was quiet so the atmosphere was a bit subdued but been passed here before and it's been much busier and seems a popular spot so will be back. Pay and display parking right outside but spaces limited, but a short walk from the harbour arm with more parking available.

I was here 3 years ago was great but just recently visited again and it's gone down hill a bit dirty facilities beer was poor

Visited a couple years ago with a mate on the way to Dover. Bloke behind the bar was doing two for one scotch and cokes, vibe was immaculate.

Nicely placed overlooking the harbour,the pub was nice and clean, as were the toilets. Great real Ale, the Doombar was the best I have had anywhere.The lady serving at lunchtime was welcoming and friendly. I will certainly visit The Mariner again next time I am in Folkestone.

Mariners is my favourite local pub. Good clean pumps and beer. Toilets clean. Landlord friendly and inviting

Nice pub but what makes it the most expensive pub I visited that day, I visited 6 different pubs, £9.80 for a pint of bitter and a pint of cider.
