Good pub in a barren local area if you like lager beer and spirits, no real ale. Great for sports as surrounded by TV screens. Good in the summer for drinking outside. I believe it was taken over after the pandemic, never see the new landlord so it runs itself I suppose. Staff are nice and friendly. Food is all frozen stuff yuck, pizza and chicken bites etc bad for health but who cares after 5 pints and next door there is a great Nepalese restaurant. I think they’re missing an opportunity for proper pub grub like burgers and fish n chips and pies etc but good selection of crisps and peanuts and pork scratchings (sic)

Richard is the owner and a Top bloke, really friendly and had a great rapport with all the locals. Very popular pub with a diverse mix of young and older people all having fun. Seemed like a nice place to meet up with friends... I got chatting with some of the locals and they are a really friendly bunch of people... A nice community of residents making the most of their local boozer which was nice to see. Kitchen was small but lovely and clean. 😎😎😎

Went for dinner and drinks, food was amazing staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They then had a live band which was awesome and had a fantastic evening. There was a real mix of age groups. Will definitely be going back.

The pub has changed hands and the new owners are humourless and miserable. Incredibly rude to anyone that isn’t their target audience. Everyone I know has started taking their business elsewhere.

Went there for lunch 18 Nov 21. It seems it has changed hands and the menu on website is now out of date and they have new menu which was more expensive Were told that the website is being updated At 12.50 no outer people were in the pub and a food order could take sometime !! We did not stay . Needs checking out.

Went in for a drink and some dinner and their was a very varied menu, the food was delicious, very reasonably priced and the service was great, I would definitely recommend.

First time coming to the golden arrow and it didn’t disappoint! Food was brilliant and the bbq chicken wings was very tasty. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming. Will be back! Got my baby shower here in November and I’m so happy I found a venue to cater for my needs! You will not be disappointed!

Visited the pub with family this evening for dinner and the food was amazing. We ordered multiple sides and mains. The food came out within the time we were told it would, piping hot and presented well. Definitely will be visiting the pub for food again.

Stepped in to the golden arrow , my expectations wasn’t too high but the attitude and utter rudeness of the staff was shocking , got accused of drug taking! Which deeply offended me and my party.everytime I went for a toilet I was followed by my a member a staff saying they was changing toilet rolls even though they was full. DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

Woman serving was very abrupt and rude. We walked out before even ordering our food and drink.

Very clean and tidy. A few common sense rules to avoid covid infection. Don't touch the bar, no sitting at the bar, stick to booked seats (Best to phone ahead) and don't wander round the pub. One way in another way out. Use sanitizer provided outside the toilets. A fresh glass each time. One person in the group to provide name and contact number. We had a very enjoyable afternoon with well kept beer/wine/cider reasonably priced. No temperature check no table service but with allocated tables there was always plenty of room at the bar.

Since ownership has changed hands, this pub has finally come into its own. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxing, clean, and welcoming. The pub has a fabulous, new, young chef who has been given the opportunity to showcase his talents and create his own menu .... and he doesn't disappoint. We have eaten there three times now and are always leaving discussing what we'll try on the menu next. The service is also top notch. Suzanne, barmaid extraordinaire, always has a smile on her face and will always make you feel welcome and appreciated. We HIGHLY recommend this pub.

This pub claims to host live music, which can be enjoyed as you eat on some nights. We learned of a performance at the venue via a post on the pub's facebook page just two days prior to the gig. On the night, we learned the management cancelled the performance as the musicians ARRIVED at the venue and offered no payment - revealing a shocking lack of consideration towards the peformers, and those of us who had come to enjoy music with a meal. No notice was provided, and this was a wasted journey for us and others. Upon leaving we saw other would-be customers outside who had been misled in a similar way. Safe to say that none of us were impressed with this, did not eat at the Golden Arrow, and will not, in good conscience, return.

Lovely place with amazing food cooked by one chef, staff are brilliant and happy to get you whatever you need and are always quick to acknowledge you if they see you waiting, wonderful place.

Tienen muchas ofertas de comidas especiales en días diferentes, que sólo tienes que probar todos los grasa. Yo opté por "El Poderoso" un double decker hamburguesa con tocino y un huevo frito encima. Tuve que con patatas fritas de camote; algo que no he probado antes. ¡GUAU! ¿Qué puedo decir? Preparado y presentado a la perfección! Los aros de cebolla y patatas fritas de camote eran exactamente cómo deberían ser, pero es difícil de lograr. Perfectamente crujientes por fuera y blandas y suaves en el interior. También fue agradable ver con los elementos de la comida frita que había una falta de exceso de grasa. Tenían ciertamente ha sido drenado adecuadamente. No pude averiguar qué fuente era chapuzón, pero no hay duda de que complementa la comida a la perfección. "El Poderoso" sin duda a la altura de su nombre y casi me las arreglé para terminado todo, pero tuvo que admitir la derrota en la final no stinginess agradable ver el tamaño de las porciones en el aquí.Es mi entendimiento de que tienen un nuevo chef y él ciertamente superada y superó mis expectativas y necesidades, una gran "Bien hecho, Chef! "debe ir a él. Los chefs son difíciles de encontrar: Cuidado con este!El único defecto que pude encontrar, ciertamente no de hacer del chef, era que las mesas limpias y relucientes lugares limpios brillantes no mezcla. Cuando persigue su placa alrededor de la mesa se convierte en un deporte Olímpico, entonces será bien, pero hasta entonces, algunas esterillas de goma sería bienvenida. Jajajayo estaba vuelve en para un aperitivo, pero debido enteramente a su ambiente acogedor y buena comida, estuve toda la noche! El lugar comenzó a llenar para la sesión de sábado por la noche y con una banda tocando y gran pantalla de boxeo, todo el mundo parecía tener un tiempo estupendo. Parece ser que atraen a gente agradable amable también. Quizás deberíamos mantenerlo en secreto?Un lugar muy cálido y acogedor: Se sentía como un lugar que quería ser más que sólo un lugar cerca para tomar una copa. - ¡volveré!

This place was in need of a refurb and Gary the NEW Landlord has done a great job. The place is bright clean and airy, well worth a visit.The place has been completely redecorated the toilets are 100% better.They do sunday lunches , so we had to try delicious and the lovely touch of extra gravy!There are 3,2, and 1 course choices on offer .Wednesday is burger night so give it a go.3 real ales on as well as a full bar other beverages.Pool table and televisions and different sorts of seating to suit all.
