I normally love this place and would give it 5*, as it has great ambience and good service. However - word of warning. DON'T order the 'half roast chicken' as it won't be what you imagine - my husband and I both ordered it and for £19.50 with no veg or any accompaniment, were underwhelmed to receive a pile of bones with a small bit of meat on. Not at all what we've ever had in other restaurants when we've ordered half a roast chicken. I didn't like to make a fuss as it was my friend's birthday, so I emailed them the next day. No reply. A week later I phoned and was assured someone would call me, but nope. Look, my fault, I should have said something at the time. I'm trying not to be a sourpuss as this is a great restaurant and please go there - just be careful what you order. And don't expect them to reply to your comments!

One of the best restaurants I ever had in the uk. The chef team have extreme well control on fire power. Excellent seasoning. And cozy vibe. Dog friendly. I am a chef as well, so it is a honest and genuine review.

Absolutely wonderful evening here for my son’s 18th birthday. Our waitress was incredible, we would go back just for her, she made our night! The food was amazing too , would highly recommend

They have done a very nice job on the refurbishment. Interior is very nice. Ate here with my son and had the seafood platter which to be honest wasn't that great. We also had 2 pints of a nice cherry cider, but at £5 a pint that's expensive to be truly honest. Back years later and had the roast beef lunch which was well cooked. The beef was medium rare and rested well and the whole dish was nice.

Everything was fantastic, but the main highlight was the food. We tried a lot and everything we ate was incredible! Favorited at the table included the pork belly flatbread, stuffed calamari, fried chicken and mushrooms! Also had a winter mezcal drink that was delicious. Our waitress was lovely and made the evening just that much better. Will be making a special trip back to Folkestone just to eat here again.

Remember this place from when it was the Frenchman many years ago. Cannot comment on the food but reasonable drink selection and good atmosphere. Clearly quite popular as the dining area was pretty full. Would recommend booking

What a lovely lunch. Such friendly well trained staff, every single one of them. Great arancini starter, fabulous Perello olives and a great quality and delicious Quattro formaggio burger. Lovely, warm, eclectic( mix of industrial and comfy) space. Decent wine list too. Highly recommend. Wish we had one of this great pickled egg pub chain near us( please consider opening one in Broadstairs in would be busy all the time) . Thank You.

A gasto pub with a creative menu, expertly cooked using great quality local produce. Classy decor and friendly staff. Not cheap but still great value. The roast chicken was a particular highlight.

We originally chose this pub, because we were looking for a dog friendly eaterie in the centre of Folkestone. We were pleasantly surprised by the stylish interior, with lots of gleaming copper, and the menu choices, which combine old favourites with unusual, like curried cauliflower tacos. The service was friendly and efficient. It all made for a very enjoyable lunch.

We popped in for a quick drink but the bartender, Ben, was so welcoming and informative, we stayed for a few more. He really made it a fun experience. We will definitely be back and will have a meal next time. Thank you Ben.

Great Pub. Nice atmosphere. Was quite busy, so it was a little bit snug. The staff were good, they had a lovely fire on. The food looked really good although we didn't eat here.

My partner recently had her 21st birthday here at Radnor Arms using the event space on the top floor. The service was great and the food was the best. I believe their names were Aly and Kasha but both were super helpful throughout the whole night. Thanks to all the staff who made it a great night!

Went there around Saturday 7pm where the bar area was busy. Both men at the bar were unfriendly and grumpy. I suspect one of them was the manager! You’re mature men and are the front of house but still cannot handle a bit of busyness on a Saturday night? You better find another job then before you ruin the reputation of The Radnor arms.

We came to the Radnor Arms to have the flat iron steaks and a bottle of wine for £49 offer. Every element of the meal was cooked to perfection. The steak was melt in the mouth, the sides were delicious too. I swapped my chips for salad which was more to my liking. Excellent service from a very friendly and helpful young lady. Nothing was too much trouble, she was very knowledgable when we order the wine. That was delicious too. Looking forward to returning soon.

What a wonderful find. We came for dinner with our dog, had a few drinks and then went to order. Due to us ordering a bit past our intended time we realised there was a huge group that had just ordered. But thanks to Sienna she went above and beyond to make sure we could order food. My partner and I just had a lovely evening here. The food was excellent. Delicious, nicely presented, and perfectly proportioned. We had the heritage tomatoes to start and the pork flatbread and beef pappardelle for mains, with a nice seasonal salad on the side. All of which harmonised perfectly (and went very well with the wine). The drinks was just as good. We had a mix of beer, cider, wine and cocktails. The wine (a rich French carignan) and cocktails (a couple or classics: an Old Fashioned and a Pina Colada) were the highlights. The service was friendly, polite and speedy. The barman and waitress that served as were faultless. Finally, the decor and furniture was just our sort of thing. Some heritage features (we loved the brick wall with the various obvious patches and changes of years gone by) and modern touches, all done in a classy and cosy manner. A must visit if you're in Folkestone.

Left standing in the entrance on arrival with no obvious person to talk to about our reservation. Table was under an air-conditioning unit that was blowing cold air constantly. Furniture was falling apart. Waitress was a bit rude. Steak was massively overcooked (relieved a £6.50 discount in return). Menu fussy and over complicated, food tasted like a pack of paprika flavoured crisps. Good selection music playing.

We came for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday as we had a fabulous Mother’s Day lunch this year. When we get there we were so disappointed to learn they had run out of chicken, cauliflower cheese and pork belly. We expressed our disappointment and the chef literally made the cauliflower cheese from scratch and switched things up to make it perfect! Totally amazing!!!! Thanks Ali or Abi I think your name was.

Fabulous visit with a friends. Great drinks (alcohol-free sparkling 👍🏻 but could do with more alcohol free wines) well cooked food and portions, beautiful decoration & ambience, cute little beer garden/back courtyard, all very well looked after (blooming flowers and shrubs in great condition) good temperature and airflow inside and fantastic attentive staff 👏🏻 I will bring my family back loved it so much. Poor staff. Couldn’t handle 2 families that walked in. Bookings were even easily available via opentable but the staff were clueless

Great vibe from the decor and layout throughout into the beer garden - a feeling of quality and attention to detail. I appreciated the range of drinks - local beers and ciders sourced locally + wide selection of wines. I initially called in for a drink in the evening, and decided to stay for dinner ordering the ribeye steak, which was tasty. I returned the next morning to sample the brunch, choosing the smashed avocado with smoky bacon on sourdough, and a cappuccino. I found the service relaxed and welcoming from bar staff and table servers, who were also very attentive.

The food was good. But it took almost 2 hours to get our food. I think our waiter forgot to put the order in. Other than that, it was ok.

We hosted a pre wedding diner party. It was very pleasant and comfortable evening for my invited guest. Thankyou.

We went for lunch yesterday at The Radnor Arms as a family and it was excellent. The best food I have had in a pub setting for many years, I would highly recommend. The prices are reasonable, the food superb and all the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Heerlijk gegeten, echt bijzondere gerechten hebben ze hier (naast de standaard burgers, maar mijn advies: neem voor ongeveer hetzelfde geld iets dat onalledaags en bijzonder smaakt). De bediening is ook heel vriendelijk. Het restaurant is hondvriendelijk, de hond krijgt zelfs koekjes, wat erg werd gewaardeerd!

Beautiful place with cool interior. Lovely little outdoor beer garden too. We came for the Wednesday steak night and the food and service were outstanding. Really lovely waiting staff offering service with a smile! The steaks were cooked to perfection, lovely chips, and the kids menu had a great selection for our daughter. Really, really impressed with their attitude towards food allergies. My daughter is allergic to peanuts and I am allergic to sesame and they took this really seriously and took great care of us - this alone will make us return all the time! Radnor Arms, you are fantastic, can’t wait to come back.

I was staying in a nearby hotel and I popped in for a couple of pints. This place has a nice beer garden and I like the copper pumps behind the bar. The barman was friendly and I managed to try a couple of pints of Duddas Tun cider. Which I'd not seen before. I would recommend the Elderflower one. If you should ever happen to see this Paul, great recommendation.

Excellent pub just not in the nicest part of town. We had some problems with the beer when the barrels kept running out so I had a long wait for my first drink but the landlord didn't charge us for the 2 pints (although the girls had done most of a bottle of gin by then). Anyway, top bloke, top pub

UNBELIEVABLE. We visited this evening for dinner and I couldn't hold back on leaving a review! Neil and the team in the kitchen satisfied taste buds that I didn't know existed - we tried multiple dishes and were not disappointed by a single bite. We ventured out of our usual comfort foods (bar my steak) and have left wanting more. We are definitely going to returning as soon as possible to try and complete the menu!

Doesn’t look all that from the outside but the inside is great. We were in a hurry for the theatre: not only did they say that they could cook us dinner quickly but they actually did. And it didn’t lack in quality. Great place, great front of house staff, great kitchen. Well done!!

We had a delicious early dinner last night The Radnor Arms - there was a really lovely atmosphere with lots of groups of friends, families and colleagues either eating or having drinks together. I enjoyed their chicken burger whilst my dad had the Sri Lankan curry and mum their half chicken with corn on the cob. Can’t wait to go back again soon.

Food was very tasty and exactly the atmosphere you hope to find. Staff were very friendly. Simply great. We had not made a reservation and were seated after 5 minutes.

Table of 7 adults for a Sunday roast. To start we had scotch eggs and truffle arancini balls - delicious. For the mains, two of us ordered pork belly and it was cooked to perfection. Five of us had the beef which again is cooked medium rare and very tasty. The only criticism is that you only get 1 slice of beef and for £22 it's far too expensive for the size and portion. Aside from that, everything else was great and we were all happy.

We arrived early so decided to look for a local put and what an amazing place to stumble upon. So friendly and with a wonderful atmosphere. I feel lucky to have bumped into such a lovely place and will come back again soon.

Average pub meal but very expensive. Service very good really nice staff. But Won't go again at £90 a head for starter, a steak dinner, dessert and couple glasses of wine.

The flat breads are absolutely incredible. The team there has put together a new feeling dish, I tried the slow cooked lamb and was blown away. Learnt that they use live yeast in the making of the flatbreads and cook them in their pizza over. The texture was like a doughnut, covered in savoury sweet juices of the lamb. It's a seriously amazing dish!

Well I've been to a few pubs in my time and I can honestly say this is the best so far and I have a fantastic pub near me in Norfolk. I was given a very warm welcome at this gorgeous pub, hot radiators, decorated wonderfully, just what was needed after a long drive from France. I had the chicken wings to start, they were delicious. Followed by half a roast chicken, cooked to perfection,sweet corn on the cob, and recommended by the attentive, bubbly, and lovely hostess ....the crispy spicy potatoes. I did not want the food to end. I live 3hrs away, and I'm quite willing to book a hotel, so that I can visit again! Highly recommended.

3 of us went for the bottomless brunch and it was well worth the money. £35 pp with about 5 choices of meals and 2 were vegan options available. There was a choice of 4 cocktails and as soon as you finish one you can order another. The food was amazing, great portion, well presented and tasted so good! The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were a few dogs in which I thought was lovely. They have a gender neutral bathroom and it's very well decorated and clean. We didnt use the garden but it looked like a lovely space from what we saw walking past the window. 10/10 we would recommend

What a place!!! Great atmosphere, great food, outstanding service!! Went on a Sunday with my family after being recommended by a friend. My dad is butcher so super fussy!! We had the the sharing beef roast. My dad and us were just in owe of the food, well cooked, good portions. Simply delicious!! My dad knows meat and he was really really impressed!! However the star of our afternoon was Ruby, what a treasure!! We couldn't have wanted for anything. Ruby is the epitome of good service, it was effortless natural attentive and friendly!! Everything you want when you are eating out!! Every restaurant needs a Ruby!!! Thank you so much guys we loved the food the beers and we definitely loved the service!!! Will be back!!

We often call into the Radner for a few beers. The beer garden in the summer is beautiful. The bar itself is beautifully designed with lots of seating and a variety of rooms. In the colder months they have 2 log burners keeping us warm. The selection of beers is great. The vibe is always friendly. We love it. Exceptional in all fronts.

The service was lovely and our server Siena was very sweet, but the food was disappointing. My starter of scallops was good but my main of pork belly was so tough that I couldn’t cut through it. My partner had a half chicken which was boring. Ver disappointed.

Great spot to meet up with friends and chat. Food did look good although we didnt try it but will do next time we go. Very nice and polite staff and a great beverage manager. Look forward to our next visit.

Won't deny the food is good, but the service is incredibly slow. Felt forgotten and abandoned in the corner of the pub, took over 20 minutes for someone to take drinks order. If place was rammed would have been more forgiving but it wasn't that busy.. probably wouldn't bother trying again

Amazing!!! The best place so far in wonderful Folkestone! Had the most delicious lunch ever! And the warm, glamorous, funky Brooklyn downtown vibe omg….as soon as i move , i will make it my special place! And such nice, kind smiley people…a dream!
