I ordered the picture food which was label veal with a spicy pasta for £16.95! It was dreadful and the place was dead! There was a poor woman running around trying to do everything! The owners of this place are a disgrace and deluded if they can’t see what is going on in this place! Could be so much better!

My family and I (12people) had Christmas dinner here. We were told we could arrive from 1.30pm to be ready to eat at 2.30pm. We were all there at 2.30pm, we asked the waiting staff for drinks and were told we had to go to the bar in the next room and order ourselves, this is a restaurant surely the staff are meant to bring your drinks to you table!! Anyway we let this slide, we were still sat waiting at 3.15pm and no food had been served to us, a table who came in 30minutes after us were already being served their starters. frustrated I then asked the staff when we would be served. Eventually our starters came, I had ordered the prawn and avocado, the Marie Rose sauce was certainly out of a jar, the other starters were also a let down. When we finally got our main course the dinner was warm, not hot, we had a small amount of dry turkey, 3 small carrots and 1 parsnip and 1 pig in blanket and 3 potatoes not the dinner we were promised which was meant to include seasonal veg, the kids meals had 1 parsnip on their plate and no other veg. It was terrible, absolutely no taste, it was all bland. By the end of the main course the young children in the high chairs were getting fed up as we had been waiting so long, they were climbing out of the high chairs as the clips that are meant to be on the high chairs were broken, this in my eyes is a Hugh health and safety risk. My parents had paid the full price of the dinner upfront which amounted to £600, a Hugh amount of money for a terrible meal. I asked to speak to the manager who eventually came and took me to a private room to discuss the problem. He couldn't have cared less, just kept making excuses, saying we should have told the waiting staff, I then made it clear that not once throughout the entire meal did anyone come and ask if it was ok, in my eyes this should have been the manager. He was ignorant and quite evidentially was not going to refund any of the money, he did however let us have our drinks for nothing but this was a small amount of money as most of the party were drinking soft drinks. I will never go to this hotel again. The Manager and hotel is a shambles, never again, this ruined our Christmas.

Breakfast was laid out like a buffet. The room smelt of gas. When I saw the scrambled eggs they were black on the bottom and smelt awful. I may even be right to say they could have been a substitute. I asked for a fried egg and the chef said that what there was is all I could have. Really?? Its that hard to fry an egg. Its not like you wernt busy. Coffee was also instant and in a jug which was smelly from decades of service. Not worth the money and you may want to reword you menu to state scrambled egg and not Free range eggs as it gives people the impression you can choose how you want it.

Compramos Oferta groupon.

Thank you so much for the organisation of our clubs Christmas dinner. It was a superb event clearly enjoyed by everyone present. The food was the best I have ever had at the Manor. We started off with a lovely flavoursome Parsnip soup. The main was roast turkey, fantastically tasty and moist. it came with all the trimmings and all vegetables were well cooked and most importantly hot. Dessert was Christmas pudding and custard again a nice portion with hot custard. It was served most efficiently by the staff and all the special diets very well catered for. We will certainly be booking more events with you through 2017 Please pass our thanks to all the staff involved.

This was a truly dispiriting experience in a cold and nearly empty pub. My beef carpaccio was served as two thick wedges of beige meat, which looked cooked but turned out to be raw. As indeed it was supposed to be... But not served like this! Very nasty. No wonder the restaurant was empty.

My other half and I thought it would be nice to walk into Datchet as it had been a nice evening. We stopped for a drink. When we walked in the place was deserted which wasn't a good sign. Rather than a warm welcome, we had some "oh customers" look from the staff. We finally ordered. I orders a cider and a spritzer. The "cider" turned out to be beer and my wine had a fly in it. I asked for one without a fly in, which was done straight away. Once I had noticed the fly, i noticed how dirty the bar area was, covered in flies and just seemed deserted. We sat outside to drink our drinks but again no atmosphere, nothing just a patio with some broken umbrella's. We downed our drinks and walked home, no one seemed to care if we were there or not. Such a shame for such a thought after area!

Went for afternoon tea!! People still eating roast dinner, don't want that smell for afternoon tea. Sandwiches been hanging around for a while so hard, hardly any filling. Cakes looked like Mr Kiplings cut into 4 Tea, had to ask for, then had to ask for some cups. Scones, been re-heated as crusty on the outside. Cream and jam came in soup bowls, where was the dainty china? Sat on the long pew, down the other end a kid was swinging their legs, so rocking it, most annoying. This was a birthday present would never go back.

We came here for a Sunday roast. Upon arrival we were a little concerned as there was only one other group in the pub (most pubs around us are packed for Sunday lunch), however we stayed and ordered food. When our food arrived it really wasn't up to expectations and reminded me of a school canteen roast. Then when it came to paying, we asked to split the bill 4 ways, although apparently this wasn't possible. We ended up having to take it in turn to inform the waitress what we ordered, she would then ring this through the till, return with our own individual bill and then do the same with the next person. I wouldn't go back!

Just come back from a short break we have been regular customers at the Manor and are usually happy but this time we are disappointed the hotel is a little run down from last time it needs a lot of tender loving care .carpets are tatty .paintwork needs redoing .generally run down its a shame as the hotel is LOVELY and perfectly located . Some rooms are ok we were put in a very small room in the eaves which should not be classed as classic double we had problems with the heating did.nt work properly and did.nt sleep well dreadful we were moved after complaining and the room was much better . We had a complimentary breakfast in the end which too be honest I would not have paid for very very poorly manned you had to ask for fresh coffee orange juice . Butter . Bread for toast . The service was awful nothing kept stocked up and minimal . Stunning breakfasts opposite in nibbles for 5.75.the management really need to reassess the workings and upkeep of the hotel as it is a huge shame to see it deteriorate. we will stay there again but room only and the room we were moved to

I stayed here for one week during a work trip. The price of the room per night was £95 but I don't think you got value for money with this price. The main down sides to this hotel were: Cold showers -hot water supply an issue? TV did not work- no sound/impossible to listen to Room- very small and dated Dinner- poor standard, looked and tasted like it was heated up from last night, the butternut squash croquettes were chewy and hard around the edges. Wifi- I couldn't connect and it didn't work through out my whole stay. The whole place needs an update really. Aside from that the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned each day to a high standard. Overall it's not a terrible hotel but I wouldn't choose to stay again until the above points have been acted upon.

Food good, customer service bad. Car parking is limited. No allocated smoking area. Wedding venue is not separate, BEWARE!!! The room designs are tired and in need of a fresh lick of paint. Water damage marks we on wedding suite ceiling along with most rooms. I have travelled the whole of the UK on various trips and individuals can spoil your stay, as is the case at the Manor Hotel...Please beware.

Thriving village hotel which seems very popular for weddings and business conferences as it is in the heart of the village overlooking the green. Very populatr with business guests due to its convenient location for Heathrow.

Staying at the hotel on the Friday night, asked if they would mind if we sat watching telly in the bar lounge, not a problem. Food choice was excellent, top service and good beers! Atmosphere was conducive to conversation and not too loud music.

Stayed here, as the first choice hotel had no parking.....please be aware there is no on site parking at this hotel either, but in it's defence they do have spaces at a property over the road, so suggest you drop your luggage off outside the hotel first.Having read other reviews about the food, I found if to be excellent, and can only think that they were having an off day !!My room was spacious, clean and modern.I had to move to another room on the 2nd night, and this one was rather small and nothing like the first room I was given, the price being the same for both...... Wasn't impressed with that !No lifts, and with steep creaky stairways and hallways, it became an obstacle course !!Happy to stay there again though.

We used a Groupon voucher for 2 courses with champagne. When we arrived we were ignored for a long time and eventually we asked a member of staff who had already walked by and blanked us several times. When we were seated we were given a grubby paper menu, a while later our champagne arrived (didn't taste much like champagne, more like sparkling wine). When we came to order they were out of the confit duck which would have been good to know beforehand. We both had the lamb shank and oxtail pudding which was average, the mash it was served with was nice but cold. Halfway through our main course they tried to give us our dessert. When we were ready for our dessert they took a long time bringing it out and you could clearly tell it was the same ones the waiter had brought out earlier. Both hot puddings were cold with melted cheap ice cream on top (which was supposed to be vanilla pod ice cream!). It was honestly the worst sticky toffee pudding I have ever had (and I always have it for dessert in restaurants). All round really disappointed and will not be returning. Would not recommend it.

I am unable to comment on the rooms at the hotel as only went there for a meal in the Brasserie following a special offer on Groupon. At £26.00 for a two course meal for two with a glass of bubbly it seemed good value at a stated discount of 69%.Having made a reservation by telephone for a Tuesday, which was accepted, I made the mistake of not telling them until the end of the call that it was a Groupon. This led to hesitation and the comment that they would have to put us in a different place. This did throw me slightly as they only have one Brasserie so what other place were we going to be put in. What they meant was that as a Groupon the booking was made on a separate register. As is quite often the case it is a separate set menu from what you would normally get so are you getting the stated discount as you are not getting what is on the Set Menu that you would get if you paid full price. The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived but were shown to a table straight away and the bubbly was there within minutes which my wife said was quite nice. A4 pieces of paper were provided with details of the Set Menu that was for us which included a choice of 5 starters, 5 mains and 5 desserts. Our order was taken and starters of Pate, Blue Cheese Tart and Calamari soon arrived. Certainly not small portions and very tasty. Main courses of 3 Lamb Shank and Oxtail Steamed Pies which were stated to be in a puff pastry but were in fact chopped meat in a suet pudding as the steamed description would imply. The other dish ordered was Haddock Fillets but what arrived was fish and chips. This was soon changed for the right dish as on the Set Menu, with the reason given for the error that we were the only table having that set menu and the kitchen made a mistake. Overall the service was prompt not slow as others have stated and the food was of a reasonable standard. With a bottle of wine and a half pint of beer for £19.85 our total cost was £71.65 for four two course meals with drinks and at approx £18.00 each was about what it was worth, but not having had the proper Set Menu it is difficult to say that I would have paid possibly £160 plus wine for four meals in a tired restaurant with dogs roaming the bar and a big screen showing football, definitely not a 4 star restaurant and could do with a bit of TLC.

I booked Christmas lunch for my Mother and I having been to the Manor last year and it was perfect. I cannot imagine how in the space of one year everything could go so horribly wrong. Rushed service (not even a wine waiter in sight), lousy food badly presented - not what you expect when you are spending £70 a head! Despite complaints and a promise that the general manager would contact me I still await the call. Eat there at your peril.

Insulting and exploitive pricing and menu restrictions. Kids food (fish and chips) was very low quality. Starters poor, deserts ok.

“Fish” is mainly batter. The fish that is provided has seen better days although I have had worse. The carbonated drinks are coloured water, although they did rectify this when asked.
