The Hatch in Basingstoke and Deane

The Hatch is our local and a lovely pub/restaurant. Heather who looked after is lovely, very attentive and welcoming. The food was great and reasonable price as are the drinks.

Lovely dinner, food was great and the service was amazing. Good choices on the menu as well. Lyndsey and Heather were both delightful and deserve recognition.

Late lunch , had reserved a table but that might not have been strictly necessary. Staff very pleasant polite and helpful , food first class. Well done to all

My husband and I had lunch today and really enjoyed it. Lyndsey are waitress was very helpfull. We will definitely come back.

Dinner again at the excellent Hatch pub. Lovely meal of Confit Duck leg and chicken and ham pie. Both excellent. Apple pie was excellent. Bread and butter pudding was nice, but not close to a traditional bread and butter pudding. The staff, as always, were downright amazing. Friendly, helpful and always ready for a quick chat. The Hatch has come on leaps and bounds from when I first started coming here. Congrats to Deano, Jo-Jo and all the awesome staff for making it yet again a really pleasurable visit

Sunday Roast. Excellent friendly service. Sadly the Yorkshire Pudding was hard and dry. A tiny helping of stuffing (albeit very tasty) and nowhere near enough gravy, had to ask for more. That said, everything tasted lovely and was a fair price. The pigs in blankets were 10/10.

We visited on a Saturday evening. Lovely menu, very friendly staff, great atmosphere. We didn’t use it, but there is a lovely outside seating area too. We really enjoyed our evening and would definitely recommend.

A lovely dinner at the hatch, we were found a table even when we had not booked. We were well looked after by Lyndsey and the food was good and homely.

Such a lovely meal, with lovely lovely staff. Only 2 lovely ladies serving on such a busy busy night and the service was brilliant, and attentive! Food was all presented lovely and came so quickly! All tasted lovely!

We came here for a lunch to treat ourselves and we had a great time. We ate off the lunch menu and had a salmon florentine and the steak ciabatta. Both tasted absolutely amazing and the portion size for the steak was really generous. Whilst the salmon was really tasty, it was absolutely tiny, so suitable for a really light lunch. For drinks we had a large coke (£4.05!) And a passionate sparkler which was really nice too. Staff were lovely and really friendly, would definitely come here again.

This is our local and we often come here for dinner. The staff are always friendly and efficient and the food is usually hot (unless it's salad!), tasty and reasonably priced. Our favourite staff members are Lyndsey, Heather and Sarah who we now consider to be friends. They are lovely ladies whose service is impeccable and who always make time to have a quick chat and enjoy a bit of banter.

Been here many times over the years. Always a lovely, clean pub to go into. It feels very warm and cosy. The service can be hit and miss but doesn't ruin my trip. The prices are a bit steep but it doesn't take away from an overall good experience here.
