This is review is for the business owner who is the rudest person I ever came across, shouting at us, making my 4 year old child scared and crying. She was right up my face shouting and name callings, completely disregarding my son, my other half, and my in laws, she single handedly disrespected a whole family. Shameful, hateful behaviour, - 5 star

Autism discrimination...Asked if they could hold on making an icecrram at point of sale for my daughter who was at the toilet so it didn't, was told no in a scathing manner. The supervisor overrides and allows the icecream to be put to one side, when daughter returns the icecream has melted...massively overpriced and left feeling upset...staff didnt care...avoid at all costs

Have been here quite a few times for the coffee and the view across the harbour towards the railway arches and the old station. On a sunny day like yesterday it's nice to have a coffee or a snack and enjoy the sun and the view.

A great place to stop for a great coffee, the staff are always friendly and polite and provide a great service. One of the best places to visit for a cappuccino in Folkestone, especially on a sunny day.

Doesn’t except card cash only, lady who works there told my child she couldn’t look over the edge into the harbour because it will encourage other children to do the same despite me sitting with her and holding her, thought it would be a nice place to take the family as my little girl loves the sea and boats, only to be told by the women I’m Not being responsible and the restaurant is private property. Being 32 weeks pregnant and just wanting some shade and some lunch with my child and husband who had just walked up the town to get cash out especially, we promptly left. I can now see why the whole place was empty when we arrived yet all over places were busy. Health and safety of place could be much better as old rotten wood and unsafe seating areas, would not recommend for families or people with young children. Also small seating area had 14 signs saying you are not permitted to eat food that isn’t brought from the establishment there, 14 signs in a small area is very intense signage bordering on rude.

Needed a coffee stop having walked much of the seafront and this cafe has a decked terrace to the rear overlooking the harbour and it's undercover too! Friendly folk and good coffee at sensible prices. The menu looked good too if we had wanted a snack. Highly recommended!

I love this little cafe, it's situated in a gorgeous, central location overlooking the harbour. The staff are always really polite and efficient (customer service is obviously of great importance to them). Everything is spotless and the food and drink are reasonably priced and of a high standard. I would recommend The Hatch to everyone and look forward to returning again soon! :)

Café en el puerto, que sirve un buen bocadillo con pan tostado y un fantástico suaves sirven helados. Los precios son muy razonables y el personal era muy amable, aunque estaba ocupado. La pequeña zona de terraza en la parte de atrás es un gran lugar para tomar un descanso del ajetreo de la calle puerto promeade.

Only stayed for coffee, which was very good, and sat outside overlooking the harbour. Staff were very friendly. Hope to be back soon and try the food!

What a lovely spot to have a cuppa! Friendly lady serving, hubby and I had sausage and egg baps and coffee and tea. Delicious! Lovely to be outside in the sunshine overlooking the harbour too. Fed both of us for £10. Bargain!

Visited several times during the summer for snacks, ice cream, tea and coffee etc. great place to relax, just a shame about the seagulls, the pests, otherwise it's a great place with great views.

Very simple cafe with a wooden terrace out the back overlooking Folkestone Harbour. On a sunny afternoon this is a proper sun trap and there's no better place to enjoy a mug of tea and a toasted teacake while watching the seagulls and the boats.

Este sitio vende el mejor café de Folkestone. También vende hamburguesas, patatas fritas y otros de comida rápida así como helados y dulces. Gran zona de asientos en la parte trasera con vistas a la marina. Le encanta estar allí como la marea. Buena música (en su mayoría Swing - me gusta eso). Es un lugar relajante para estar. Uno de mis lugares favoritos en Folkestone.

The Hatch serves all sorts of snacks something for everyone. There is seating over the water of the inner harbour so there's great views whether the tide is in or out. Really nice people here with decent prices.

Mi esposa y yo uso esta hermosa cafetería bajando por el puerto en forma regular. Hay un montón de mesas de la parte de atrás, con vistas al puerto. The Hatch tiene un pequeño menú que es excelente para un almuerzo ligero. Vale la pena una visita.
