I came across this little gem of a pub by chance as I went along to see a band that I like. The pub is definitely a locals pub, and the locals were all very friendly and chatty. The landlady was very welcoming and they had a great variety of drinks. It has a lovely outside seating area of which some is under cover. I will definitely re visit this pub.

I went along with friends to play Skittles out the back there. The parking isn't ideal but the skittles was really good and the buffet excellent. We were challenged to finish it all but we could not. There was so much and it was all brilliant.

The Greyhound local pub - not a restaurant - is certainly dog friendly with a Bonio thrown in but also features a crocodile on the roof though no-one knew why! A little off the eaten track bur well worth finding.as close to the many walking routes in the area. Parking, outsode tables and outside covered area. Has Marlowe, and Windsor & Eton, Breweries' outstanding real ales plus dependable London Pride. The Landlady gave a warm welcome and had filled rolls as well as the usual crisps for a change. Well done! Abd a Bonio for the dog without asking.. I believe hot bar lunches are available in the week. Nice toilers with fast driers as well as paper towels. Blokes like towels as no hanging around! Ther are hundreds of pubs but this could be the one you've been looking for!

A group of 28 members of the Scots' Society enjoyed a very pleasant evening playing skittles here last night. We were made very welcome and the buffet provided for us was tasty and plentiful. Whilst we were playing and chatting, empty glasses were removed quietly from our tables with no intrusion whatsoever. The whole procedure from booking to holding the evening there was made very easy and straight forward by staff at the pub.

Due to COVID restrictions I was able to meet some friends outside with waitress service only..I was asked to sign in on arrival and leave my mobile number. The attention to service was first class and some cheese and biscuits were offered free of charge. The Smuggler ale brewed by Rebellion brewery was first class and obviously well kept. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Great traditional skittle alley available to hire for private functions birthdays, baby showers, family get together. Great selection of drinks. Great lunch. Frequent live music and karaoke. Children are welcome. The locals are friendly always made to feel welcome. Nice to have a pub still open in the current climate.

Friendly locals pub, bustling with a very bubbly atmosphere in a village that many pubs haven't survived which speaks volumes about how the management and staff are running this welcoming pub. Live music and Karaoke monthly, events not to be missed. Great selection of drinks especially Gin.

The people and the place leave a lot to be desired. The thing to remember is when you come to a place like this you will be in the company of people who have a very low moral threshold and find dreadful and inappropriate behaviour to be Ok. Emboldened by management who take no action they will treat strangers dreadfully, some would call it assault. Beware this pit.

We had a family event and hired the skittles alley for the afternoon including buffet lunch. This is obviously a pub for the 'locals' (it was a Sunday) as the place was very busy especially the outdoors seating area. Car parking spaces a bit limited but we were able to park in the road. Good buffet lunch and good choice of beers. Nice people!

We hired the skittle alley at The Greyhound Pub for a family get together to celebrate my son's 21st birthday and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are a delight as they're so welcoming and friendly, plus the hot and cold buffet they provided for us was perfect - thank you to everyone at the Greyhound for a great afternoon.

After a nice bike ride through Eton and Windsor we came across this place and the reviews seemed amazing! However, we stopped for a drink and it was not the idilic country pub we hoped for! Two blokes arrived went inside and came out wiping their noses (if you know what I mean) and using foul language during every sentence! The music was blaring from inside the pub to the point where you were shouting at one another to have a conversation. Such a shame could be something amazing! Avoid it like the plague.

Gracias x

We came to this pub on the way home after an evening out at a restaurant in Windsor and just want a nice quiet drink in the garden. That is exactly what we got. The drink was nice and the location perfect. The staff weren't the most cheerful which is why I gave 4 stars but then again it was the end of a Saturday night. All in all I definitely think we will go back and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

One of his requests, as and when this day came, was for the wake to be held here. He'd been a regular visitor here over the years with the local blind society. They were incredibly helpful and friendly and the buffet was never-ending (we'd asked them to cater for about 80 and around 60-65 came). The only must-haves were Gala Pie, turkey sandwiches and cheese - the rest was up to the pub. They'd laid everything on for us in the adjoining barn & skittle alley but due to the fab weather, a lot us chose to sit outside - a bit of a surprise to the locals when they starting turning up, but the more the merrier.Nothing was too much trouble and when we came to leave (4.5 hours later) there was still plenty of food left and this was happily consumed over the remainder of the evening by the locals. This is a proper local and would imagine that if you did wander in off the street, you would get a second look - but that's just what people do.We'd happily stop off here if we were down that way again.

I respect my TripAdvisor reviews and my 5* status for numerous accurate contributions spanning many years.. Was verbally abused in this facility in full view of landlords who 'allowed' such bad behaviour to take place.. This is the only time I have ever been verbally attacked Worldwide in an establishment and was shocked at such archaic mucho cowardess..

I was traveling through the Windsor area last month with my family, and we stopped in this charming village for a bite to eat and a brew. We came across The Greyhound and thought it looked like a cute little place to stop. How wrong we were...looks definitely can be deceiving. The place was busy, but the patrons were loud and obnoxious, using foul language...which was obviously the norm as they were not asked to tone it down or take it outside by the management. The bar maid ignored us, but the final straw was when men started passing gas and thinking it funny. We got up and left. I only wish I had read Molly's review before going to that area: I would have steered clear. It is an embarrassment to that area. Definitely not a family type atmosphere.....more of a "locals only" pub.

What a superb to visit in such a lovely village. A true gem to experience such amazing management and staff at it's best. The most welcoming family atmosphere. Superb food. If you're looking for a lovely family orientated public house this place needs to be experienced by yourselves... don't look at negative comments as they say.... see for yourself. ..

Went with a few friends who live near by. It was a warm evening (Saturday)and the pub was busy with most people outside. It seemed to be a good atmosphere as we walked through the outside seating area. Only to be faced with an utterly miserable bar maid who clearly didn't like smiles. It was a real effort for her to even acknowledge us despite no one else at the bar. We bought a round of drinks, sat outside and watched in amazement people walking In and out of the local houses with their drinks - definitely not a pub to pop into - unless invited by the locals. A real shame.

Old fashioned style skittles alley, family and generational competition rife, half time respite of fish & chips, chicken curry or chilli (ordered in advance) and all for £12 per head. The break I needed. After 2 and a half years of constant upheaval I knew where to come. Originally booking for the Wagyu I espied the specials board and went for the delicious apple and coriander soup, followed by a fantastic Beef Wellington, which I recommended to other diners and they did not need a second invitation. The pastry fell away from a beautiful cut of meat, and this all with super mash and so tasty gravy. Full, I thought, I needed a little time before I could tackle the 5 cheeses board all accompanied by appropriate red wine, LBV port and a liqueur coffee, Superb preparation for my 4 day holiday in Devon - I could not have asked for a better preparation. Thank you!
