Windsor Pie Company in Windsor and Maidenhead

May 2024 visit. Turkey pie was sensational! Went back everyday of our 4 day stay. Sometimes just had the pie and gravy, sometimes with mash and veg. Would go back (from Canada) just for that pie!

A bit disappointing overall. Staff and service was great and very helpful but the food was underwhelming. For a place that only does 5 different pies and a few jackets potatoes you would expect better. For £14.50 you will get an average pie, powdered mash potato, flavourless gravy. Nothing like traditional pie and mash shops.

Great spot for traditional pie! I had the chicken and mushroom pie meal, which is pie, mash, minty mushy peas and gravy. Great quality and taste, will definitely come back again and worth a try if you’re looking for something satisfying. My only suggestion to the owners would be to lower the price of the pie alone (I think it’s around £10, with the meal being a few pounds more), as it would entice people to buy more for taking home and what not. Service was great also!

Don’t let the unassuming exterior and decor put you off; this is authentic British food and service. The pies were delicious and the vegetable sides were better than what I expected, especially the mushy peas.

Check your order before you leave because they don't put what you requested in full but they do charge you for it. I ordered an Apple Pie and oh surprise, they didn't put it in the bag. Few staff and little trained to respond quickly

Stopped here for Lunch 25/07 staff were very welcoming & I can honestly say it was one of the Best Lunches I had 10/10 if you're thinking of expanding put one in Oxford please.

The Pies are very good. I recommend the meat pie that won a prize or an apple pie. The service was very fast and the workers were very friendly.

Stay away, what a shambles, the place was empty, we ordered our food and after 25 mins i went to see where it was, i was told we had already had out meal, i told the server we hadnt, i was then offered a cinnamon bun which i refused, i asked for a refund which i got and we left, do not go here as we were waiting the staff were sat down eating, no wonder we didnt get ours, SHOCKING.

The team, made me and bacon sandwich and a coffee, even though they wasn't really open yet. Thank you so much. Can't wait to try one of their pies. Thank you Kim and Sasha

Google showed that the restaurant was open until 8pm. My family of 4 arrived at 6:30pm but the place was already closed. They should update the opening times online to save people a wasted journey. I see other customers have had the same misfortune as us - and the company replied to say that the incorrect information is from google - and that the company itself should not be blamed. My reply is simple. 1) Given that they know the opening times are incorrect, the company should update google to reflect the actual opening times (this is a very simple process); or 2) Put the correct times on your own website (which currently has zero information on opening times). It is not enough to just blame someone else....

People were friendly, short wait time, and food was so good! First official British pie I have had, and so far it is the standard! Fully recommend the steak peppercorn.

From the us and have never had pie and mash but seemed very good. I had the turkey my husband had beef. Good service.

After a family visit to Windsor Castle we stopped at the Winsord Pie Company, where we were welcomed by the wonderful Stella who in 'Italian' was able to guide us in choosing the menu. We were then able to enjoy an exquisite 'Hot potato bean and bacon + salad' accompanied by strictly Windsor beer and finally the delicious 'cinnamon pie, brownie and caramel chocolate pie. Everything super!! Advised

Great atmosphere, amazing food and top-notch service. Just like I said with my review about Cinnamon Cafe. The reason why: the two places are connected. Whether they are owned by the same person/group or under the same management, you'll find it difficult to point out any overarching problems. Go to either and you won't be disappointed.

What a friendly and warm welcome ! We came here with a group of 52 pupils without booking. Thanks for everything. The hot chocolates and pies were so delicious.

Walked 25 mins to get a pie, arrived at 515 and they were closed even though google said 6pm. Disappointed 😒

The location is convenient, staff is friendly but food was very bad. We tried a chicken and a vegetarian dish and Cornish pasties. The pasties were dry and probably old. The mash tasted like plastic and the carrots smelled musty. Did not try the vegetarian dish but my friend's face was not convincing. The fillings were edible.

Been seeing pie shop for a few weeks when I come into Windsor. Decided to have it weds eve, Researched and saw the pie shop is open until 5pm on Wednesday. Wanted takeaway so arrived 4:10pm; to find the pie shop shut and no signs or reasons why. I travelled 20 mins into Windsor specifically for it. Poor customer service

Pie, veg and gravy in a Cafe setting can’t really go too far wrong. It is what it is and made a nice change from the usual chain restaurants trying to be everything to everybody. If only they did a ‘ pie and liquor’ version.

We bought 3 take away pie meals, my husband got home and they had forgotten to include one of the pies, which was frustrating as he’d been gone over an hour with the wait, drive etc. We did not have time to go back to the pie shop , but we were promised a refund by the staff when he phoned. My husband phoned 3 different days for the refund and he was promised each time the Manager would phone back to sort a refund, the Manager was never around when he phoned!!! Apparently the staff were aware that the Manager was to phone us. We never got a phone call from the Manager, or a refund. I think this is very poor customer service, as local windsor residents we can’t recommend, issues sometimes happen but it’s how they are dealt with, which is important.

Most everything we wanted to order was out of stock. We had to settle for something we didn't really want to eat. The quiche was okay not the best I've had. Also I got a terrible allergic reaction after I ate here, my eye started to water. All in all not a pleasant experience.

The pies were very tasty, light pastry and great fillings. W had the vegetarian options and it was delicious. The staff were very friendly, the service was very fast. The coffee and apple pie with cream were great. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommend

This is an excellent product. Very good food (chicken and tarrogan pie, mash and peas). It's actually rare to get a good British pie 🥧 but this place delivers. If you are seeking the best of English food at a good price this is the place. Immaculate, nice vibe. Will be back

The pies were melt in your mouth good, and the mash potatoes had me coming back for more. Certainly the best pie around.

Die Pies waren geschmacklich sehr gut, der Kartoffelbrei ebenfalls. Leider war einer der Pies nur lauwarm. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Preis war angemessen. Das Lokal ist im Bahnhof von Windsor zu finden.

Beautiful pie and mash restaurant nestled in the Windsor main train station. The food is fresh and tastes delicious and the servers were so kind and welcoming! A big plus is that they're one of the few establishments in the stations that has their own toilet.

Pies are excellent. Light thin pastry, full of meat - I had steak and kidney. Lovely flavour. Mash lovely and smooth, delicious gravy and plenty of it. Good size portions too. Lovely staff, great service too.

Lovely lunch at this recently opened place. The pies are delicious, and the service was charming. Great value meal deal, and very filling. Will definitely be back!

AVOID this place! My wallet was pickpocketed out of my purse yesterday WHILE ORDERING FOOD. Upon review of the video footage, it was clearly a crime that was orchestrated by several individuals, the manager’s role being particularly suspicious (scratching arm while distracting me and looking into my purse to signal the woman behind me to “grab.”

Beautiful tasting pie’s regular or large, with a range of alternative flavours. Good selection of sides and toppings and comes with excellent service! 100% recommend.🥧🥧🥧

The food here is great, simple, but still fabulous - just no nonsense pie and mash and sides of your choice. And just the right amount to hit the spot. The service we received was also great, but I’d expect nothing less from the team behind the Windsor Pie Company. Thoroughly recommended!
