Best ham eggs and bubble I've had in ages!! Brilliant portion and excellent value!

Being a real ale pub it was a bit disappointing to only find one beer - Harveys Best Bitter - availalable on tap. The food was good - I had the coronation chicken and a child had the kitchen chicken nuggets. Both came with excellent chunky chips. The real disppointment was the coffee: despite coming out of a counter-top coffee maker, two of us felt it was like a REALLY BAD instant coffee - PLEASE GET A BETTER COFFEE MAKER!!!

Popped in for a drink with a friend who used to drink there regularly when she lived nearby. It was very pleasant sitting outside. Friendly staff. Seems they do a lot for the community.

Looking for a breakfast today we found The Nags head. We had an excellent big breakfast exactly what we needed. very friendly pub friendly staff thank you for giving us a good start to the day. Definitely worth stopping by. If your going to the races drop in for a breakfast before you head to the course.

A proper old school pub with a warm welcome, child and pet friendly (play areas for both), good quality traditional pub grub at good prices, plus a world class pint of Harvey’s Best. My toddler loved it almost as much as I did!

Friendly greeting and service. Bar has good atmosphere and lovely garden. Had delicious freshly made chicken sandwiches . Seem to have lots of music nights. Highly recommend 👍😃

Yeah decided to edit this on a return visit. Yeah the food was nice, but the "regulars" who prop up the bar give you the evil eye when you walk in which is less than welcoming. It's like walking into a western saloon bar where the music stops when you walk in . Never mind we have a few drinks (Corona on tap is nice) so we decide to bring our empties in when we leave. We're met with a load of glasses on the bar when we bring them back and I ask "are these clean or dirty?" So we know where to put them and the barmaids reply? "Yeah I was talking to these people first". Okay, trying to do you a favour, we'll leave them out in the beer garden next time.. nice enough place, the service and atmosphere does put you off from returning though.

We moved to sunningdale in January 2023 we found this gem of a pub its now our local go to pub, the owners and staff are the best, there is always something going on here from quizes, live music,etc etc, good food and beer it has a friendly atmosphere and dog friendly with a big beer garden, well worth a visit 👍🍺🥂🍹

The thin pizzas are fab and their home made coleslaw is one of the nicest I've tasted. It's a small pub, so if you're in a group, try to order ahead or be prepared to wait a while.

Lovely friendly local we visit. Lovely warmly interior with personal touches. Always decorate for occasions. They have many events on with live music and karaoke which is fav of mine. Good food selection. Always made to feel welcome.

During my visit to Sunningdale, I came across this charming pub with a breakfast sign. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try, and I was pleasantly surprised! The breakfast was delightful, and the overall atmosphere of the pub was warm and inviting. It's a lovely place to enjoy a meal or just relax with friends. I would definitely recommend it to others visiting the area. 😊🍳🥓🍻

We had the Sunday roast. It was great, just like you would make at home but with a bigger selection of vegetables. Dogs are welcome, the fire is lit and it’s a nice friendly atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Oh and a lovely pint of Guinness according to the husband.

It's a really welcoming friendly local pub. We sampled the pizza and it was good.

We visited the soft play which they have on the pub garden for the first time last week and have to say we won't be returning. The tent isn't massive and there was other children playing it gets very hot in the tent no fans are provided. Staff arnt that friendly, there was a young man behind the man, no customer service, had a go because we didn't Pre book, even tho said walk in welcome, didn't smile. Actually quite scary!!!! Ordered a coffee, couldn't finish it as cheap and nasty. Breakfast was cheap and tasted it too. My twin girls got bored of the playtent and wanted to play in the garden bit, dog poo on the grass EVERYWHERE!!!! also while my twins was playing in the tent a small dog came through the gap in fence and actually walked into the playtent! My girls are terrified of dogs, this isn't on at all. There was also another great big white dog standing my the gate wanting the kids breakfast. Safe to say we won't be returning. Also not sure if the toys are wiped and cleaned after each use either. Think a lot of improvements are needed.

Good real ales here, a bit messy in pub, where tables aren't being cleared quickly.

Searching for a place for lunch where all other local pubs were booked for father's day - we happened on the Nag's Head. What a warm welcoming atmosphere, great service and a nice lunch at a table by the window. The roast beef was plentiful and the goujons and scampi both well received. Good no-nonsense unpretentious British pub.

What a cracking place this is, a real traditional country pub with a very warm welcome. How many pubs do you know that still have a dartboard? The food is delicious, home cooked fresh produce all prepared on site. We took advantage of the roast lamb Sunday dinner which consisted of four good sized roast potatoes, a generous homemade Yorkshire pudding, carrots, Cauliflower, brocoli, Cabbage, Swede, roast Parsnips, a good portion of roast lamb and gravy that was so tasty. All this culminating in a substantial Sunday lunch served with a smile, we drove from Addlestone to try it and was not disappointed with any part of the experience. A blinding call from the management as they have got it bang on, perfect for us, there is even the garden to accommodate doge as well,ten out of ten.

I enjoyed the fact that I celebrated both my friends and my birthday and they had such a great cider. I also enjoyed the service that we were given at the bar, and it would be a good place to bring your children because the food is awesome.

The landlady at this pub is very very good I have been going in pubs since I was bourn I am now retired.I have had the fortune to sample food at both pubs run by the same team I personaly have not had any reason to complain. It is excelent. The beer's good too.

Visited the pub over Christmas as a family. Landlord was extremely rude. Polished glasses whilst we stood there in front of him waiting to be served. Also spoke to us very rudely when last orders were called. This is everything but a friendly local. Won’t be back unless the management changes.

I have been visiting this pub occasionally for the last 20 years, and always with family friends at Christmas time. However it has been taken over by an awful landlady who is incredibly rude and unwelcoming. I won’t be returning again unless it comes under new management.

Excellent traditional Cooked breakfast. We were a group of four and arrived to be welcomed by the landlady. Good variety of options for breakfast, teas and coffee options too Highly recommend and has only started serving in the last week or two. Tuesday to Saturday 9-12

Advertised as a family pub, good food but let down by hideous landlady who doesn’t like kids or people enjoying themselves… On entry was given a list of rules for the kids play area (already made to feel unwelcome) Ordered food and drinks all ok, Kids were playing nicely and respectfully in the marquee and off she comes huffing and puffing making us and the table next to us uncomfortable. We asked is there a problem then we get a 20 minute rant about her rules and accusing the table of not looking watching there children.. I don’t understand if you don’t want families at the pub maybe take out the kids area so you don’t attract them? Horrible miserable woman, first time we visited I gathered maybe she was just having a bad day, second time we gave benefit of the doubt as it was handy for the kids, but on 3rd visit to the pub I would never return. Such a shame, everything else was fab just massively let down by this woman.

Fab evening, landlord and landlady are really lovely 😍 and friendly , the atmosphere in the pub was great , I didn't eat but they had a lovely menu and the kitchen was very busy .

This place must be writing the good reviews themselves. This place is a disgrace. Awful service, dirty pub and food poisoning for days if you dare to eat the food here. Everyone inside this pub gave me bad vibes that was very off putting and made me feel very uncomfortable.

Three friends meeting for an outdoor lunch and drinks. Each had a separate meal on the menu. I went for Scampi and chips, generous and tasty. My friends had Steak pie and Ham egg and chips respectively. They were bot full of praise and the ham and steak chunks got special mention. I could see that the ingredients was quality and generous, they both confirmed their 100% satisfaction.

Stopped in for an impromptu meal and pint and was not disappointed. Lovely staff and atmosphere and food was delicious; personally I would recommend the ribs. Good selection of lagers and overall great spot. My 25 year old friend was disappointed he couldn't go on the bouncy castle, but no complaints from me.

Stopped off here with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed the beer, food and atmosphere. The lunch was fanastic - I opted for the southern fried chicken burger which came with triple cooked chips and side salad - very impressive. The chips were delicately fluffy on the inside but nice and crispy on the outside maintaining a good colour/flavoue. The moretti on draught was a treat. My 24 year old friend urged me to have a go on the bouncy castle but I decided to spare my embarrasment. Nonetheless, a lovely pub to bring the kids for some outdoor enjoyment!

Take away Sunday Roast - Great food! During lockdown we have had a couple of take away meals and not been disappointed. Sunday roast are really good, highly recommended!

In this terrible time of Covid , The Nags Head stands out like a beacon. My wife and I ( both pensioners ) have just enjoyed Fish and Chips delivered to our door. Lovely meal to give my wife a break. A cheery smile on delivery even though we were slightly out of territory. You can be sure we will be back for more and when we are allowed back into pubs , The Nags Head will be the first place we go for a drink and a meal to say thank you to very creative tenants and enjoy their company for being so kind

New licencees who have come from the New Leathern Bottle in Jeollots Hill. Harvey's Sussex Best the only real ale on, which was in very good condition. Plenty of other drinks on offer (try the Harvey's Wharf Ale) and plenty of food offers (one for the over 65s) and music gigs. This pub is well worth a visit and the new licencees deserve all the support from locals and other visitors alike.

New Landlord and lady making a new welcoming reception . Completely revamped and decorated place creating a surprisingly new outlook and atmosphere to place. Can honestly say the new publicans go out of there way to accommodate. Not bad word to say

Since the new landlord and lady took over at the beginning of September, this pub has completely turned around. It is so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is addictive and great to see it becoming a community pub once again. Well done Wendy & Dave

Nice pub with live Saturday bands

We would like to announce that the Nagshead has been under new management since August 2019.Sandra and her staff would love to see you visit us, there is live music every Saturday with complementary cheese, bread and pate at half time, food served Wednesday - Saturday and Traditional Sunday Roast on Sudays. Great evening of rock with Broken Bones. A very friendly pub with a real fire. Our first visit and we were made very welcome. An added nice touch of hospitality with a cheese board, pate and selection of pickles and fresh bread. We will definitely visit again for some great rock music in a lovely village pub 👍✔

First time at The Nags Head and what a little hidden'ish' treasure it is. Never knew about this pub until someone mentioned there was a live band performing so a groups of friends went to check it out. A very lovely warm welcome on arrival, bar staff were fantastic the whole evening, landlady and manager were chatty and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Band was good, the atmosphere was fab and during a music interval a vast array of cheeses, patés, relishes, pickles and breads arrived all complimentary of the landland and her staff. A lovely pub with good vibes, live music each Saturday with free buffet went down very well indeed. I'd recommend a visit.

Was really hoping and looking forward to an iconic British Sunday lunch roast with all the trimmings, but was rather disappointed with the atmosphere, ambience and service. A very basic, humdrum lunch with functional service at best. Just very plain and functional .

Fabulous Sunday lunch. Huge portions , excellent value. The homemade bread and butter pudding for dessert was absolutely delicious. Great New Zealand wine said the other half and he’s an expert ! New land lady has bought in a great chef. Hope the locals support them as the pub has been through numerous changes of manegement and I believe this lady is very experienced at running pubs. Please give it a try so we don’t lose this local establishment.

I have been going to the Nags for the last 25 years and after having had a variety of landlords over the past few years, it seems we may be slowly heading toward those early and better years of good food and beer. The place is cleaner than I’ve seen it in years, the landlady has brought in a feminine touch with plenty of flowers and a great atmosphere. The food was also excellent and at a reasonable price. Well worth giving it another try if you came in the past and were disappointed.

Great service and engaging and helpful bar staff. Simple but tasty menu choices. Good venue for live music.

We would highly recommend food at this pub. We had a 3 course meal including a sunday roast and it was a pleasure to see that the chef makes everything himself instead of the 'buy it in and heat it up' approach. The homemade brownie dessert with blood orange sorbet and honeycomb was amazing. We'll definitely be heading back to try out the rest of the menu.

The Nags Head has had more than its share of ups and downs with changing landlord/managers over recent years. They all start well but sadly performance isn't sustained. The new landlord/manager has started well and is a marked improvement on the previous team. The beer is much better and the pub cleaner and brighter. There was no food available so can't comment on that.

Lovely place to drink, lovely tasting beer and great place to come for a pint after work. Staff are amazing and couldn’t ask for a better local pub

This pub varies considerably. Sometimes good, nice and clean, friendly staff and decent pub grub. Then on other days, loos are dreadful, rather dirty, mediocre staff, 'off' beer and dreadful food. Landlord's style rather combative (makes 'what do you want' sound like a threat) but the landlady is more welcoming.

Sad the owner has an issue with foreign visitors.

Very clean and fun place! Staff is very friendly and nice. Great selection of beers and friendly customers. Shame I found it only now after 15 years of living in the area. Well worth checking out if you are around!

If I were just talking about the pub’s atmosphere and the landlords I’d be giving it 5 stars, sadly the food today was a letdown & rather bland, I am hoping it was the usual chef’s day off as I’d really like to revisit regularly!

Went on a Saturday evening specifically to see a live band there - never visited this area before but a great little pub with nice selection of beers - and the live music was terrific!

Seemed undetered by having 40 odd walkers stopping for post walk drinks. Friendly service. Seem to also do very good meals.

Just been there for Christmas Eve. Left because the landlord was rude over a spilt drink. If you come to my house and you spill a drink I will gladly clear it up for you. Not in the nags head.
