Craft Coffee House in Windsor and Maidenhead

Nice selection of cakes. Coffee very poor - couldn’t drink it. You want to support local businesses but when the coffee is that bad, forces you to go to Black Sheep or Gail’s for a good cup of coffee.

We went to Windsor from London for a day trip and were looking for specialty coffee. When I saw that they use Ozone coffee, we chose this café. The coffee was excellent; in fact, we bought takeaway coffee twice on the same day. The fact that it's open on Sundays is also a plus.

Cheyenne who served us was great. Courteous and friendly. The cafe is off the Main Street but on the way between the main carpark and Windsor castle itself. FINALLY A COFFEE THAT TASTED LIKE AN AUSSIE COFFEE!!!!! So hard to find in England. Lovely homemade cakes - recommend the flapjack. Very nice start to the day.

I visit here few times a week now and the coffee is absolutely Devine. One of the best coffees I’ve tasted. The staff are friendly and the shop is clean and just all round brilliant

This is tucked away in a lovely small courtyard in Windsor. If you are looking for a tourist hordes escape this would work. Friendly staff, they make their own cakes. Ozone coffee from London is also well rated. Would return.

Had a cooked breakfast here a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely. The staff polite and very welcoming. Great coffee. It’s a lovely little place with outdoor seating in the heart of Windsor. Looking forward to my next visit to try something on their new menu!

The bacon and ham and cheese sandwich leaves you somewhat unsatisfied due to its simplicity. The variety of coffee served contains too much Robusta, which makes it sour. Nice service

Server had long hair, kept playing with it as well as making and serving food. Waited until cafe was empty and pointed out that this was not hygienic and hair should at least be tied up. Colleague then called someone up saying in a loud voice that customer was being rude about "X" n hair. Not true. Then both got very abusive. Food very basic but processed cheese in toasted sandwiches. All in all avoid. I will be making a formal complaint with the Council regarding lack of hygiene.

Amazing food and coffee, had the fried egg and bacon sandwich, was delicious and really good value. The server was super friendly and welcoming and the other customers in the shop seemed to be really happy too.

Little to no choice of cakes or biscuits, the atmosphere of a morgue. Cold and dark and the most awful coffee I've ever experienced. The young lady behind the counter didn't crack a smile and dragged her sorry feet the whole five foot to our table to deliver our 'lattes' served in the smallest juice glass you can imagine. A smile, some heating and perhaps a little background music would have made enough of a difference not to encourage such a poor review.

Late on a wet Saturday afternoon and we needed a coffee. It was almost closing time but we were welcomed in nonetheless. Off the beaten track but worth seeking out, a beautiful Flat White coffee. Highly recommended.

What a great find! Yesterday we arrived in Windsor early for entry to the Castle so went in search of coffee and found the Craft Coffee House nearby. Great coffee and we were also tempted by the toasted bacon sandwiches which were fantastic. Would highly recommend Craft Coffee House for anybody looking for coffee or a sandwich.

Used to be great when it had a focus on quality of coffee. Seems to be lacking this now and coffee is average at best

Food was good and can't fault that. However, the service is lacking and seems to be an ongoing issue from reading other reviews. When ordering sandwiches, the woman acted as though this was an inconvenience, coupled with the fact that they were out of chicken. I appreciate being short staffed but there are ways to address people in a polite way. A shame as I had high hopes; OZone coffee is delicious and it's in a charming location. Customer service is severely lacking.

We went to this coffee shop at 3:50 for a coffee and asked the women working there (not sure of her name but she was northern) if dogs are allowed in, she said no so we said can we take a takeaway drink and sit outside. Absolutely fine. When I ordered my coffee she moaned that she had just cleaned the coffee machine and now she had to clean it again because of us. Then we sat outside at 4pm, she then said she’d have to take the chair cushions away as they’re closing- she was very very rude. We said you close at 4? And she said she was closing anyway. If the coffee was good I wouldn’t have cared as much. But bad service and bad coffee. Won’t be returning and I suggest you don’t either

Staff were very rude. ‘Too busy to make any food’ even though there was only one other customer. Very expensive for average coffee and very unwelcoming. Would give a 0 if I could.

A little surprised to be denied a takeaway cup when having a coffee inside. My oat americano was ok, but my wife’s decaf was sour and borderline undrinkable. An ok place, but friendlier service would make a difference

Just a warm welcome or smile would be nice. Reasonable coffee but many options now available in Windsor. Parking not easy so would only return if passing by and desperate for a hot beverage.

The vegan flapjacks are amazing!!!! Great coffee and breakfast/ brunch sandwiches. I love to sit in the courtyard after a dog walk, always pleasant, relaxed and welcoming staff( and a little cheeky!😜)

Walked in and was met with no welcome or interest, after sitting down we decided the atmosphere was too sour and uncomfortable, got up and walked out.

Very limited menu - food was ok but about Wetherspoon's standard. Flat white served in a glass (why?) with no handles and too hot to touch. All just ok so far. The chap who served us was pleasant but the lady serving the tables was both patronising and mocking - her quite unacceptable behaviour and manner means that we'll never return and would recommend that others avoid it too. No wonder the place was pretty empty.

Coffee was quite bad but not as bad as the service. The one person behind the counter didn't even greet us and seemingly ignored us. When we eventually were able to place an order the coffee was terrible. Finally, when I tried to pay the server was nowhere to be found. Eventually came back into the cafe and again, completely ignored us.

Had a layover in London and stopped in to grab coffee at Craft Coffee House. It was simply delightful - I went with a flat white and it was perfectly prepared. The indoor and outdoor environment is very nice, and I love that to access it you go down a small little tunnel. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Windsor

Small and independent sounded great However - outside space just full of smokers who cared little for their smoke pouring over us having coffee Service rude and disinterested- only one other customer there so when I asked for a bagel to go with my coffee to have a response that she was very busy and that it would take a long time not great - so decided to not have food As much as it pains me - go to Costa or black sheep and avoid this place - no wonder not many customers

Coffee taste burnt- prob one of worst oat cappuccinos I’ve had in a while. Only positive it’s in a courtyard. My husband said his latte was nasty as well. Definitely wouldn’t come back

The taste and the presentation of the coffee was not specialty-like at all. The service wasn't good either, I got a take away cup although I said I'll be sitting inside, and I had to repeat 6 times which cake I want.

Nice cafe, has ozone coffee from London. But the coffee was made terribly, espresso was too acidic means over extracted (check how dark it is on the pic). Couldn’t drink it. Maybe was not lucky with barista, but my coffee cup was really bad.

The presentation wasn’t so good either - the bagel I had on my second visit felt like it was just thrown together and dropped on the plate (and the rocket was missing). The menu is different - most notably in its lack of the pastrami bagel I loved so much last time. Still good, but no longer the best.

no internet, not enough space. It wasn’t comfy. Tea was fine. I think cleaning and customer service should be care.

Absolutely delicious coffee. Really friendly service, but more importantly really great coffee. The food looked good but it was too early for us to eat there. Maybe next time. The coffee was great btw.

Visited this place with my friend on Saturday as we like to support our local coffee shops. The lady at the till with the mask was very pleasant however the lady making our sandwiches was very rude. We asked for 2 vegetarian bagels 1 without mayo how hard is that? The lady took the order and passed it on and started making our coffee’s (Amazing coffee which is a shame)The lady in the kitchen kept coming out asking about the order to which the lady making our coffees explained again 1 with no Mayo. We were served our coffees and this is when it happened the lady making the sandwich’s came out again saying she doesn’t understand what no Mayo means !!! They both went in to the kitchen and we heard the following conversation “ Don’t put mayonnaise in one”” Why? It’s on the menu” The customer asked for no Mayo” F* the customer it’s what’s on the menu” to this the rude lady walked out for a cigarette and the other lady made our very complicated no Mayo bagel. This is unbelievable attitude from a coffee shop. Will not be returning again.

Coffee good. Cake not worth the calories, dry, tasteless, been out too long. Service grumpy and slow. Sandwiches didn’t contain all advertised ingredients, but at least fairly cheap (£5 for small sandwich). Wouldn't go again.

Best coffee in Windsor. They use ozone coffee. They don’t get many customers because they are off the beaten track slightly. Cakes are lovely here. It would be good if they did something like poached eggs on toast or something but they are a small staff with a small kitchen. Nice outside court area for dogs too.

Wanted a coffee and saw this signposted down a quiet alley so went to have a look. Small coffee shops with a few tables inside. Would be nice in the summer as have tables in the courtyard too. Really good latte and tasty cakes which were very fresh Didn’t eat but menu looked good. Always like to support independent business so enjoyed it here

Tucked away in a little courtyard near to the Theatre Royal, this place would be easy to miss if you didn't know it was there. It's definitely worth seeking out, however. Great welcoming service from the ladies who run the place, and the coffee is great. The lunchtime bagel offerings are fantastic - particularly if you opt to swap your plain bagel for a cheese & jalapeno one!

Pequeño y encantador lugar. Muy limpio, bien diseñado y muy amable, servicio al cliente bien informado. Tuve el queso y el jalape o bagel, con aguacate y halloumi rotos, no es que sea vegetariano, ¡sonaba realmente delicioso, y lo fue! Estoy seriamente destripado de que vivo tan lejos que no puedo obtenerlo regularmente. Como otros han mencionado, una verdadera joya de lugar.

Las bebidas son un poco más caras pero no horrendas. El personal es encantador y amable, se disculpó por la espera, aunque han pasado menos de 5 minutos. Los pasteles parecían INCREÍBLES, pero desafortunadamente no tuvimos tiempo para una porción destripada.En general, una cafetería encantadora para visitar, muy satisfechos nos detuvimos para almorzar.

Blegeark... That's the involuntary noise I made when I took a sip of my espresso today. I've never had a coffee so bitter. If that's what you want in a coffee, and I know many people do, then this is the place for you. The location was delightful, a pretty courtyard which couldn't fail to captivate in the sun, and the hot chocolate was smooth and delicious. But the coffee was not to my taste.

Sweet little cafe down an alley in the heart of Windsor. Good selection of bagels and wraps and wide selection of coffee. Quaint seating area outside. Only negative would be lack of toilets but public toilets are clean and nearby.

Great coffee, but felt that it is missing out on a few opportunities. Firstly, on a Sunday morning, they had no eggs (couldn’t offer poached or scrambled) only bagels with bacon and egg mayonnaise (which was different and nice). Could do with signs being out on the pavement as it is very easy to walk by. Plastic flowers in hanging baskets are just not trying hard enough. Windows needed a good clean as did the paved area outside where we had coffee. Also felt sugar in paper sachets was more “greasy spoon” than premium coffee shop - how about sugar cubes? Thought that the junior staff could have been more friendly including checking that our food and coffee were ok - which it was, but you should ask! You also missed out on another round of coffees if you’d asked. We did and went elsewhere. It is the detail that makes a difference and there must be so much more commercial potential if there was more focus. Not having eggs is pretty poor. These could have been picked up at a petrol station....

I Love this place! I always come on my lunch break from work, great coffee, lovely staff and tasty food. Oasis of calm away from the crowds on the high street :) And they have a great selection of products for vegan/veggies/GF

A hidden gem in Windsor. I fell upon this place coincidentally, the coffee and cake were seriously good.

My boyfriend and I regularly cycle up to Windsor and we stop in here all the time. Cute, cosy and the coffee and bagels are amazing. It’s cycle friendly and hidden away so we can just relax and enjoy the break.

Incredibly nice coffee. Strong authentic and excellently prepared, and I am very fussy. The best in UK so far. The food is beautifully prepared from scratch on side using fresh ingredients. impeccable bagels -perfectamundo. Cannot speak highly enough of the hosts and service and food and coffee.
