The Flying Horse in Crawley

I ordered a sausage sandwich and my husband a full English. It was very busy, but service was within 10 minutes and the food was decent; nothing special but we knew what to expect with a Weatherspoon's. Prices were ok for an airport.

Really very good. More expensive than a normal ‘spoons but cleaner, lots of staff and the tables were cleared very quickly. We had a couple of drinks and a very classy chips and curry sauce each. Very generous portions. Staff very attentive. Recommended when at the South Terminal, Gatwick.

Fast service, traditional breakfast was above average for this sort of place. Was fresh and not dried out. OJ very refreshing. Price @ £12.50 was good compered to others but overall service was very good even good asked if breakfast was ok by waitress after it was delivered so never had that at a Wetherspoons. Keep up the good service and food quality

Great selection other menu and many vegetarian options. Free refils on the tea and coffee. Basic, good food. Lots of seating available. Helpful staff.

Spoons in Gatwick North terminal(not South), busy but quick service. Lovely pint of Chocolate and Vanilla stout - even accepted Camra 50p off token!

Service was immaculate - chips arrived before I sat down - and to add to the magic waiters came and checked everything was tickety boo. I have never had such a polite human interaction at wetherspoons in my life. Put me in such a good mood i might stay - who needs geneva amirite. Peace out all 🍻🥂🤙🏻

The only place to go for your pre-flight pint at Gatwick, prices are decent but obviously more expensive than a normal Wetherspoons.

Located in the Gatwick Airport (South Terminal) this is a place to enjoy a pint or two while waiting for your flight.

Initial meal stone cold, but in view of price £20 in comparison to what I paid in London £8 cold, and had to be sent back..really poir.

Terrible food, paid £16 for a burger, the patties were overcooked and stale, the onion rings soggy, dreadful. Last time I eat here, keep to the beer and wine, the food offer is bad, should have realised things were going south when the burger came out 5mins after ordering.

Sitting here in the terminal and the staff at the Flying Horse are the most polite, accommodating and attentive I have ever known. Service was incredibly quick.

We didn't think we had time for food before our flight and the pub was absolutely packed, but we took a chance and I was so glad. Ordering on the app was easy and the food arrived within about 3 or 4 minutes, as did the beer. It's not condon bleu stuff, but for a quick snack before you get on a flight I can highly recommend it. Staff were friendly and really helpful too.

Didn’t even realise that there was a spoons at Gatwick so we were really happy when we saw it. We were a bit worried and it was packed and we had to fight to get a seat as another couple left but we took the chance and it paid off! The food came out within about 4 minutes of us ordering it. OK, so it's at an airport and prices are higher than normal... That said, service was very good, food was reasonable and portion size was good. Cheaper than other nearby bars and fulfilled expectations. Will use this bar over others on my next airport visit.

Stopped in here for some food while waiting on a connecting flight. Pretty big restaurant, so plenty of seating. Walk in and seat yourself. You have two options: download the restaurant app and order and pay from the app or look at the menu and then walk to the bar to place your order and pay.

We love a wethers so for our early flight to New York from gatwick we had to pop in for a early new years day breakfasts all washed down with 2 cuppas.

We didn't want an expensive breakfast in our hotel, so decided to eat in the airport after we'd cleared security. The Flying Horse looked busy - always a good sign in my view - so we took a table. Customers are invited to download the Wetherspoons app and to order via their 'phones. However, it was also possible to order at the bar, which we did.

In my opinion this is one of the best airport Wetherspoons and would be a five apart from the cost but then you are in one of the major airports in the world.

Having used the Wetherspoons outside Security the night befor, I found The Flying Horse a considerable improvement on it. I had breakfast here, a small vegetarian, which was very tasty. The staff were very pro actively friendly & efficient, the decor pleasant, modern.

We stayed overnight at Gatwick for an early flight to Naples and used our trusted friend Weatherspoons for an evening meal. As usual it was good, wholesome and good value. No complaints, you know what you will get.

Had breakfast here 08:00 on a Friday morning. It took a while waiting for seating, I understand this as it was peak breakfast time, however we had to wipe down the table ourselves or lose it to the other waiting customers. Sevice was indifferent no happy welcoming faces here. My wife said that her breakfast sandwich was 'OK', but I was really disappointed with my large breakfast, £13 with a cup of tea is OK for airport prices if the quality is good, but this didn't live up to expectations (I am a frequent WS's user and really like their better establishments). My breakfast was luke warm at best, even the cremated sausages were cold! The baked beans were not a premium brand. I expect better quality at this price, being a busy airport resturant dosen't mean customers should be charged higher prices for reduced quality. Personally I wouldn't us this WS's again.

Very Friendly and courteous place. It was busy but they seated me promptly. You have to go up to the bar to order and give them your table number. I order egg Benedict with extra toasts. Food came promptly and it was delicious.

Had the chili and it was alright, to be at an airport close to a four. Large selection of draught beer was the best.

På denne restauranten har de mye forskjellig mat. Du finner et bord og bestiller enten i baren eller laster ned en app og bestiller i den. Utrolig effektivt, som gjør at du kan gå når du vil osv. Masse ladepunkt og godt utvalg av drikke. Spiste pizza som du selv legge til ekstra topping osv.

I’m not generally a fan of W pubs but decided to try this place out ahead of my flight to Porto. They had some very good ales on (it was their beer festival) and the service was friendly & efficient. Yes slightly more expensive than usual (£4:05 for a pint of Windsor Knot) but it is airside in an airport, so happy to cough up for a good pint.

Table for six, all different meals, all very tasty and hot. Short wait time. Free coffee and tea refills. Great selection of Beers available. Large spacious restaurant with lots of seating.

We normally fly to North Terminal and go to The Red Lion (also a Wetherspoons), but we have started flying to the South Terminal and wanted to compare and found The Flying Horse so much better.

We came here before flying on holiday, we had breakfast and drinks. The food is okay and the staff work very hard in what looks like a stressful, busy environment. As always airport prices are extreme so everyone gets a minus mark for this.

Pleasantly surprised. We have been avoiding Wetherspoons recently due to the frankly bonkers, fanatical and forced down your throat political views of the guy who owns the company. However, in a lapse we came here, excellent staff and good food. Had fish pie which was tasty and the black pudding and poached eggs was cooked perfectly. Staff appeared happy and you can actually see the food being prepared. The app to order/ pay for food and drinks is very handy. (Tim is still dim though)

My wife and I visited the Flying Horse before our recent holiday. As always - good Beer and wine. Reasonably priced and a good holiday atmosphere. Food choice quite good.

I use Wetherspoons a lot and am a great fan but I am always amazed at the pricing at The Flying Horse, Gatwick airside. I accept that everywhere in the airport is overpriced but come on, food and drink at The Flying Horse is almost double off airport Wetherspoon prices.

I know there’s a universal standard that one can expect at any JD Wetherspoon pub across the UK, so we had no qualms about dining here. Loved the horse racing theme in the décor!

Customers are tightly packed, the service was lightning fast : you feel that the place is designed to maximize the output.
