So good to be back eating out. Literally for the present but back here soon for an indoor treat. As usual, prompt attention and service. Splendid main course and dessert. We will catch up on their Fish Pie when full service is established.

We had a lovely meal out for my partners 40th birthday.We sat indoors in the private diner.We were greeted by the lovely Maria and served by supervisor Emily who done a amazing job all night.Food was amazing and didn't wait long for service.Excellent night.

Great food, great outdoor seating even in the rain and Katie and the team made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

We booked Bletchingley Arms as a group for Sunday lunch, and were lucky enough to eat in one of the pods outside. The pods had heating and fairy lights which was lovely! The food was amazing particularly the roast turkey, and service was friendly, especially Katie who was amazing. Will definitely be visiting again!

Had a lovely evening, despite the stormy weather. The whole evening felt very covid-safe, my family had a lovely little outside pod with heating, a long way from anyone else. The food was excellent as always, and Katie looked after us wonderfully. Would go back - and indeed are booked to return in July, possibly indoors by then!

The food was great and the service was very friendly from Katie and Maria. The new covid guidelines were adhered to well but didn’t impact on the enjoyment of the meal. The ginger beer gin fizz is a must try and the toast dinner I had was enough to feed a family of four! My girls love the chicken and chorizo kebabs and the burgers are always good! We will be going back again soon but the outside dining does require some thought about warm clothing especially after sundown!

Lovely food and lovely staff. Our server, Katie, was helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic new wooden pods outside, even with the torrential weather, were shielded and comfortable. They are a brilliant addition. Felt safe at all times. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

Great to be able to come back again. Slick operation with all safety angles covered. Food as nice as ever, great cheeseburger fries and onion rings. Well looked after by Katie who was as efficient and friendly as we remember her to be.

Second visit this week! Once on Saturday for my birthday and again last night for my friends birthday. On both evenings the service was excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a booth on Saturday which was amazing & helped us keep warm & last night we were in the open area under their lovely canopy. The food is delicious with generous portions and all served covid safely. Special thank you to Katie for last nights service and for helping us celebrate our friends special birthday. The mountain of ribs takes some scaling! Especially after a round of 69 on a 9 hole course. Katie and Lauren made us feel really welcome. And you don't get a better pint of bletchingley arms bitter anywhere else. Would recommend

The Bletchingley Arms has really stepped up to the mark re COVID restrictions. Super safe with sanitiser everywhere, everyone in masks and very aware of distance . Three of us sat under a hugh umbrella and were quite comfortable. We all wrapped up as the weather was cold but it was not a problem. The staff were as amazing as ever with Maria and her team buzzing about making sure everyone was happy and their meals ok. Although they are short staffed, and recruiting as we speak , we did not have to wait long. I had salmon in a caper sauce which was fabulous. I had creamed potato instead of roast and it was all cooked to perfection and arrived on HOT plates which a lot of places can't be bothered to do. For dessert we all had giant double chocolate chip cookies with coffee. The best cookie I have ever tasted. It was so good to be back and relax , enjoying good food, good company and good service. So good we are going back next week.

Hi, Usually I love this pub its normally great. But we had dinner there last night and I have to say the service was beyond shocking. Just a few examples of the night. We arrive and the person at the door says she's just getting the table ready then after 10 minutes standing there finally got a table. We also then asked her for a high chair for my 1 year old nephew. After 25 minutes of sitting there ( we must have been invisible) someone finally asks if we want a drink so we order a drink and our food as we can't be arsed to wait an eternity again. And then AGAIN we ask can we have a high chair. Food arrives still no highchair so in the end I just went and got one as no one seemed to care in any way shape or form. Then once dinner is done we wanted pudding and after again about 30 minutes of sitting there finished with plates on our table as just like 2 other tables near us. Id was assuming they'd all gone home or something. Then a waitress asked if we wanted the bill. So we said no we want pudding. Then she left by the way all food and drink was done buy just left it all there and didn't ask if we wanted another drink. Pudding comes and there's still plates everywhere so the clean them up at the same time. Then as I'm eating a waitress is shoving a cashmachine over my head trying to get signal which was a joke BTW. Then after all is done we go to the bar to ask for the bill because we didn't want to wait till the next day to get asked. Then as we want to pay were waiting for another 15 minutes until we all just stood up and that finally got there attention. But all night was just a shambles. Just seemed to have all young waitors and waitresses that didn't seem to care about any sort of service which is a shame because it might put me off going back in the future. Food was nice though I will give them that but overall I would have rather stayed at home or gone somewhere else. Thanks

We had a lovely night out here last week. It was great to be able to meet with friends again after so long and The Bletchingley Arms has done all they can to accommodate outside eating and drinking during covid-times! We had a delicious meal and drinks and the service was excellent. A special mention goes to Katie who looked after us superbly and was so attentive. Would recommend for families, couples or just a general get together with friends as it caters for all.

Myself and some friends went for dinner last week. The chicken pie was EPIC as was all the food we had. The puddings were also not a let down! Thanks to our waitress Katie who was attentive and made us feel at ease for the first night out in a long long time! We’ll be back very soon x

This was our first “girls” night out since lockdown. We had a fab time. Loved the beautifully decorated, covered outside area! Great food. Great service - special mention to our waitresses Katie who could not be more accommodating - she really look after us. Bonus - we didn’t know about fizz fridays. Great value for money!Looking forward to trying out a pod next time!

We visited the outside dining today for the first time since the lock down has been relaxed. Staff at the Bletchingley Arms are very well versed with covid safety regulations and we were very happy with the service. Katie was very pleasant , helpful and was very accommodating within the strict guidelines. Thank you Katie for our wonderful evening!

Fab meal for my son’s birthday. The outside seating area has lots of cover and is beautifully decorated. Thought we were going for standard pub grub but it was a cut above. Beautifully presented and very tasty. Specialmention to Lauren who served us with a smile as did all the team. Will def be back !

My family and I went to the Bletchingley Arms and had a fantastic meal today. It all looked beautiful outside with fairy lights and heated pods. The food was delicious and plentiful. Michelle, Maria and the team were friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome. Great to back to dining again - the Bletchingley Arms was excellent. Thanks you - we really enjoyed it.

First night back since lockdown! 12 April 2021. Great to see it so well supported and managed. The new Pods and marquee are great! Table seating and service worked really well. Food good as always.

We visited the Bletchingley Arms yesterday - outside cabin booked for 1pm. We had an amazing time in the heated booth served by the lovely Michelle and Maria. Great food, great service, highly recommended.

We felt very safe here. Great attention to Covid regulations. Sat in a new, heated outside pod. Warm, covid safe and protected from rain although we did follow advice about wrapping up warm! Hot water bottle can also be purchased and filled for £5. Katie and Louise provided great service as well. Food was also amazing!

Absolutely cracking pub! Lovely service from our waitress Katie. We were in one of the heated outdoor huts which was lovely, very Christmassy (-: The food was great and the roast dinner was a very good size and absolutely delicious. The veggie roast option was very tasty too. All the rules and covid guidelines were observed by all staff but this did not detract from what was a really pleasant Sunday afternoon spent here. I will definitely be back!

Saturday afternoon meal with friends outside in one of the ‘pods’. Clean, comfortable and warm with the heater on. Polite, attentive serving staff. Lovely hot, well presented, tasty meals. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff, A great evening enjoyed by all!

Visited just after their re- opening. As professional as ever. As soon as we entered the building their covid compliance was evident from being invited to use the scanning app and completing the form to well signed information and compliance details.A welcoming greeting from the Manager and shown to our table, the nice little snug with the pullies by the window. Looked after by a lovely young lady called Katie who was cheerful and friendly and knew exactly the constraints that she had to work with, very efficient and made our evening enjoyable. The food was as good as ever served hot and in good time. Wishing them all the best of luck and our thanks during this difficult time.

Visited here with my boyfriend and his family for his birthday, during eat out to help out. The food was lovely and served up quickly considering the fact it was so busy. Cant really fault it, will definitley be eating here again in the near future.

My friend and I really enjoyed our meals today: she had the salmon (generous portion with delicious sauce) and I had the vegetarian stack (with halloumi) which was really good. We loved our desserts too: meringue and chocolate brownie and the coffees were good too!Good service from Jemima even though the restaurant was really busy.Will come again and make use of the autumn 33% discount card that we were given...

A very enjoyable lunch with friends. The fish pie winning the popularity stakes. Added value with the Autumn Discount deal reducing the cost. A saving that will take us back in a couple of weeks. All the coved rules in place to make you feel safer.

The staff at the Bletchingley Arms really do "own" their customers, food quality, service etc. I would suggest they are the highest trained for many miles around. They really care, are personable and unhurried. Highly recommend.

Come here fairly regularly as service and food has always been good.Unfortunately, today was a real disappointment. Lovely staff, good service but the food left much to be desired. Fish was good but went cold very quickly. Chips were in varying degrees of raw to cooked. Peas were mostly hard. Tarragon sauce had a film over it leading me to suspect it was left near heat. Mayonnaise was tasteless.Meringue was ok but not worth recommending. Normally I would have said something there and then but the staff were sop sweet I hadn't the heart to upset them.

We had a lovely meal although I was a bit surprised when we got the bill , the cost of 1 pint of lemonade was £3.80 ! thats a nice little profit ! It doesn't exactly encourage people not to drink ! Apart from that we had a lovely evening and a lovely meal

Two of my friends and I visit this pub weekly. The food and the service is excellent every time. Yesterday the lovely Lauren looked after us with Maria also making sure us ladies had everything we need. It's quite refreshing to see the staff sanitising everything as people leave their tables. The toilets are immaculate .

Such wonderful staff. So caring, friendly and attentive in these difficult times. Superb food and service. Can’t wait to go back. A real find in these troubled days. Although breakfast isn't on the menu, the friendly staff at The Bletchingley Arms were more than happy off a full English on the off chance. When I am in the area again ill be sure to stop off for a future visit. Keep up the good work.

Table booked for 1.pm lunch, hot day so chose to sit inside, garden area quite busy, social distancing and sanitation precautions very good .Very good food, enjoyed the meal, looked after by Louise, who worked hard and was very attentive to ourselves and other customers throughout the lunch period,Definitely will visit again.

We enjoyed a lovely evening meal at The Bletchingley Arms last month. It was the first time I’d eaten at the pub since it changed hands (I worked here when it was The Plough) and it’s a very different proposition now. The outdoor heated “sheds” were a great way of being able to eat safely outside, and the service was very sensible too. I ordered the tiger prawn lollipops to start followed by the chicken burger, both of which were excellent. At £30 a head including drinks, it felt like very good value for money.

Lovely food all delivered promptly and with a smile. We were given a back room to ourselves, which was fabulous as we had 4 children aged from 2 months to 7 years! It was comfortable and, with all the Covid19 restrictions in place, also felt very safe. We would thoroughly recommend the Bletchingley Arms to other families.

Well organised, especially the way meals are placed on trays at the head of the tables. Food was amazing as usual. Excellent! Katie the waitress was extremely informative and extremely friendly. Would we come again? Absolutely

We booked for Sunday lunch at the Bletchingly Arms with some friends who were staying for the weekend, booking via the website was really easy. We were seated in our own area and drinks and food were brought out by Katy and other staff and placed on the table next to us for us to take from there so social distancing could be maintained. The food was great and they happily brought more gravy when requested, all our queries and requests were no trouble and the kids got some twisty wax things given to them to keep them occupied. All in all it was a lovely lunch out and the measures that are in place due to Covid generally seem good, only slight oddity was that social distancing is maintained from the table when bringing food and drink but the Staff station was positioned at the end of the table we were on and there wasn't a screen or anything between the staff station and the table so it seemed a bit weird to be maintaining distance one minute and then standing practically at the end of the table the next but we never felt uncomfortable even though the pub was busy.

I visited for lunch with my daughter and two of her friends.We sat in one of the “sheds” which was fabulous - the food was excellent, especially the choice available for coeliacs. Maria was extremely knowledgable about allergens and her customer service was amazing, so cheerful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble! We will definitely return!

We Have been shielding and so to go for a meal was quite daunting, our experience was really good, I felt safe and as usual the staff and food were excellent, it was a comfortable feeling as all precautions were in place, definitely going back would always recommend as used a lot before lockdown good to see the Bletchingley Arms back

Came here for dinner last night and it was just amazing. Restaurant was very busy but that didn’t stop the staff smiling and given great service. My husband said it was the best meal out he has had in a long time and I totally agree. A massive thank you to Ollie and Emily for serving us and keeping me in good supply of wine. Definitely would recommend to anyone that is looking for a great place to eat and where the service is second to none.

The food is amazing and the Customer service is brilliant, in fact one employee by the name of Lauren was amazing went above and beyond and was very polite and friendly also very helpful will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family.

We made use of the Eat Out, Ruth was very attentive and served us nicely even with the measures in place.

Really pleasant lunch, greeted by smiling staff, place packed, but still with social distance being in place, food very well cooked with prompt service, no long delays between courses. Our server was Amy, who we observed worked really hard around her whole section and was really attentive to everybody.Very enjoyable visit, will definitely visit again.

We stopped by for some starters and sides on a Saturday, and the waitresses Emily and Daisy were very welcoming and attentive - whilst following social distancing guidelines. We really enjoyed the food and felt very safe! We’ll be returning soon!

I have visited The Bletchingley Arms on many occasions and have always enjoyed the food, service and whole dining experience. Sadly on this occasion I was not impressed with service and safety during these difficult times. None of the staff wore visors or masks but gathered in groups at till points. Limited menu but totally understandable and still a good choice. Although when we asked about varies items, we were just told a bank no from waitress. Drinks were served to our table with waitress leaning between guests, to be fair the rest was served on a side table. But I left not having a relaxed safe feeling meal. Won’t be returning in a hurry sadly

This was my 2nd visit to the Bletchingley Arms and I wasn't disappointed. We was looked after brilliantly by Maria, nothing was too much trouble for her. Lovely food and drinks, we will definitely be going back for a 3rd visit.

Had a lovely lunch today served by Any who really looked after us. A popular venue and very busy though well managed and sign posted with reminders to distance and wash hands. Food was nice but a bit limiting for a Dairy free and gluten free guest. That said the kitchen were super careful and I felt confident in eating my lunch. Will certainly be back. Was really looking forward to trying out The Bletchingley Arms as we often pass and have thought it looks lovely. Sadly we left today feeling a little disappointed! I phoned to book an outdoor ‘shed’ but on arrival was told they were busy and we needed to sit indoors.The glasses weren’t clean enough, my wine glass had lipstick residue on it! They were changed but this shouldn’t happen in the first place.The meals were good though, tasty food and served in good time but children’s menu is overpriced compared to many other establishments.I won’t be rushing back sadly.

This popular pub wasn't overcrowded today. The beer and food both very pleasant, and we were served by a friendly waitress. Not a place to go if celebrating a special occasion, but very nice for a midweek lunch. I will happily visit again.

The Bletchingley Arms is our local, we absolutely love it here! But for a change of scenery we booked at another pub just down the road in Godstone....it was AWFUL. I've had to email a complaint. So overpriced and awful food. So tonight we ate out at The bletchingley arms again, and wow what a meal! The whole family were satisfied, the price was fantastic - lesson learnt - stick with what you know! Thanks Ruth for your great waitressing service too :)

Have been going regularly to take advantage of gov scheme. Have enjoyed every meal there. Cannot fault any off the meals that we have had. The staff Rachel and Ruth were very helpful and extremely pleasant.

We have just got home after an amazing meal at The Bletchingley Arms. The food was amazing & the staff were even better. The on duty supervisor Vicky was our waitress for the evening & went above & beyond for us all. Food & drinks came out very quickly & the staff were very efficient.I would like to especially mention a member of staff called Ryan. My daughter has complex needs & was getting a bit anxious which Ryan noticed. He got out a pack of cards & built her a card house which totally calmed her & we were so so grateful as she sat very quietly & watched. Thank you all so much we will 100% be back again soon

Rachel (the one from Friends) was lovely, and so friendly and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

Went here for a family meal a couple of days ago. Was impressed by how organised it was and how lovely the outdoor area was. We have been here before but can’t remember the lovely little quirky sheds in the garden. We were quite a big party so had to be split across two tables due to covid restrictions but totally understandable. A nice menu with great service . The food was really nice- I couldn’t finish it as was so full. We would return. A couple weren’t keen on the chips but I think just personal taste. Thank you!

Fantastic tasting sirloin steak !!!! Even though it was raining we where comfortable in the outside “huts” with heating. Great space and our dogs where welcome too.

Five of us had Sunday lunch on 16th August, 2020. We were very impressed with the way that the eating area had been organised to fit all the criteria for eating out during the restrictions due to Covid19.We had a lovely meal served by Ruth. She brought the meals to our side table and then we took the meals ourselves. The food was hot and we all had a different main meal all of which were well presented and very tasty. Ruth returned to our table at intervals to make sure we were satisfied with the food and to check if we needed any more drinks.We have been to the Bletchingley Arms on several occassions now and each time the food and service has been of a very high standard and we will continue to do so in the future.Thank you to all the staff for making us feel safe and welcome.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal at the Bletchingley Arms last night. It has a very good menu for meat eaters, my husband loves it! Our waitress Ruth was super and gave very good service.

2 groups of four of us at socially distanced tables adjacent to each other. Lovely, relaxing, safe atmosphere.Not too busy. Staff attentive at a social distance especially our lovely Waitress Ruth. Would definitely recommend for luscious food and good service.

We had a fab evening tonight at the Bletchingley Arms. The food was delicious. I had a generous portion of salmon with a lovely sauce.My husband said his scampi was delicious. Emily,our waitress, was very friendly and efficient. Everything was Covid aware.Very impressed.

This pub has a very nice garden / outside area to eat and drink, including a childrens play area. Unfortunately the car park whilst a good size does not have the capacity for when the pub is full.When it comes to the food I had a very disappointing experience. The starter, loaded potato skins was ok. The main course Confit of duck, was very small for the money and overcooked (dry & not tender) the vegetables were just lumped together in an unappetizing manner.Overall an unacceptable meal for the price.When I told the waitress of my disapproval the reply I received was “ I will tell the chef” I never did get a response.

Trying new locations for a change with the government's eat out to help out scheme. So drove a distance to try this place based on the "great" reviews on here. What a disappointment!On arrival the car park was almost full, the outside tables were mostly full with scores of screaming children running around and using a play area. So the option of eating outside on a very hot evening was not happening! Waited at the "wait here" sign for a good 5mins before being greeted. Another diner was already waiting when we arrived. Staff were milling around but no one acknowledged the queue (others had now joined).On my reservation I said we may want to sit outside (outside tables cant be booked) the lady asked if we wanted to try outside, I said no thanks, its like a kindergarten out there, so we were seated in a dark pokey corner next to a table with several children! Wait staff that served us were friendly and pleasent. The table probably was the worst spot in the pub, no space, dark and uninviting. Drinks arrived promptly and food order taken. Starters arrived fairly quickly. I had salt n pepper squid which was a bit chewy, my friend had lollipop prawns which were different and very nice (see picture). We then waited almost 1hr from order to receive the mains. The chicken in my Cesar salad was dry and not tasty at all. Desserts were fine. The large table had several issues with their food, it was clear that the number of tables being booked was way above what the kitchen could cope with given the covid restrictions. Overall a disappointing evening, we both decided that it wouldnt be a location we will be visiting again.

We took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme and went for a meal to celebrate my birthday. A little apprehensive as it was our first meal out post lockdown. But everything was socially distanced and we felt completely safe. Katie our waitress was lovely and our food delicious. Well done to all the staff at the Bletchingley Arms, we'll definitely be back.

Love this pub! We've been a couple of times before and we visited today because a) we knew they had a big beer garden, b) the 50% off government deal and c) they do amazing food and even the limited menu offers lots of choice! We hadn't booked as we wanted an outdoor table and they don't book those. So we were advised to get there for lunch when it opened, at 12. It was already busy with people queuing!! We were really surprised but it's clearly that popular. The food was delicious as always and massive positions. We especially enjoyed the sharing nacho place which went unfinished despite my husband's best efforts! Plenty of space so didn't feel crowded (apart from the customers walking from the carpark through the tables right past us... why they couldn't have used the path I don't know, but that's not the pub' s fault!). The staff were all so friendly and acted so cheerful- amazing since it was 33 degrees! All in all really pleased. We've been really cautious about where we've been eating as we have a newborn baby who came with us) and are only eating at places we feel safe and which have outdoor seating...the Bletchingly Arms ticked all the boxes and we'll definitely come back - it's one of the best local pubs around for a family lunch in summer!

Katie is amazing! So attentive we were never waiting around. Food was also incredible and quick, delicious salmon, enchiladas and a good choice for vegan, vegetarian and meat eaters.

Lovely meal at the pub. Katie was lovely and friendly, social distintancing was great. We had table 9 which was perfect for two and kept far away from other diners.

Food as good as ever and very satisfactory covid control regime. We did benefit from the Government discount scheme but would have visited anyway. Fewer choices but not a problem to us. As ever it is probably best to book before you go.

Been a pretty frequent visitor over the years and seldom disappointed. They've have laid out the pub following the new rules well and our waitress Katie was A*, taking particular pains to make sure we were happy with the cleanliness. Food was good as ever, though shame the full menu is not yet back. Something to look forward to! We'll be back!

Just to say thanks to Marie and her team for giving our group of friends a really great lunch today. We felt very safe. The drinks and food service are very well organised and the menu and food good. We were also very happy to get our “eat out to help out” discount.

Fantastic afternoon great food great staff especially jade , Jess, Vickie, Maria very welcoming staff after what we all have been through they stepped up to the mark lovely outside bar and seating area and will pass this on to my friends and family and I’ll will visit it again thank you guys x

I came down to The Bletchingley Arms for a meal with friends. The food was really lovely & the staff couldn't do enough, manager Michelle checked on us throughout & Rachel & Lauren were so polite, friendly & we felt really safe on our first meal out since covid lockdown. would highly recommend this lovely pub!

...there sometimes has to be an exception. From the booking for our group the week before , to the ambience of the setting, the food and drink , and the attitude of all the staff, especially Maria the Manager, you could fault anything. We were a large group but were managed well, following all the protocols that made everyone feel we were in both a safe and hospitable environment - which is a tricky balance to strike. Places like this need and deserve your custom more than ever at present - please support them.

Honestly came in for for a few beers and couldn't feel more welcome. The manager Maria really went beyond every aspect of service. Not only did she make me feel completely at ease but my entire family. I would couldn't recommend the bletchingley arms anymore . The best family pub in bletchingley .

Went for a family meal with guest and which was very pleasant despite new measures to which the staff were careful but also caring.

Came in for beer and was nervous because it was the first pub I’ve been to since lockdown but the manager called Maria made me feel so welcome while also ensuring me of all the COVID policies. I had a fantastic time while feeling so confident in their ability to maintain the social distancing rules.

As someone who has been extremely strict and cautious during lockdown I was very hesitant to start to go back out. My visit here allayed all my worries and I felt completely safe at all times. The measures in place are excellent and are constantly being upheld. The staff, especially Maria, are fabulous in portraying the sense of seriousness with which they take their responsibilities but remain warm and welcoming. So reassured during my stay and I really enjoyed my visit...so much so I have returned and will continue too. In addition the food and drink are fabulous !! Great job Bletchingley Arms.

When we arrived, Maria the supervisor talked us through the hygiene procedures and tracking system . As people left , the chairs and tables were sanitised. There was a one way system to the toilets so you never crossed paths with anyone. Lunch was lovely and served by Amy. Everyone that looked after us was pleasant and practiced "safe hygiene" . Service was speedy. My friends and I felt very safe regarding hygiene procedures due to covid. We have visited 3 times now and always get a nice welcome.

We had a wonderful dinner here last week. Greeter with a warm welcome and explained the procedures and offered indoor or outdoor seating. Staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and most important adhering to guidelines and maintaining a distance. If you want a good and safe pub outing these guys have it right!

I recently visited the Bletchingly arms for a Sunday dinner with a few friends post lockdown and must say it was a lovely experience. I have been here on many occasions but never on a Sunday. I booked a week before over the phone and even had a phone call back on Friday to check we were still attending, which was a nice touch. We booked one of the outside huts. Which are great come rain or shine as it is sheltered and even has a heater to put on if you get a bit cold. There was 5 adults and 1 child and we had ample room within the hut. Social distancing was well practised in this restaurant which is great to see. We felt very safe. We were served by Maria and her customer service was outstanding. No task or request was to much. With us asking for well done meat or asking about the mayonaisee as we had a pregnant lady in our group. She was attentive and never left us to long when needing a drink top up. All employees we came across were nice and smiley. The roast dinner was amazing and a must try. A great portion and vegetables to share and can even ask for more. We also had starters and some of my group had desserts. All food was to a high standard and very tasty.We will be back again for a roast soon.

We went here as I was looking for somewhere to go with my wife who is shielding from coronavirus. I was impressed with the Covid safety of the staff, the outside bar and comfort of the garden furniture. Even the (very clean) toilets are accessible directly from outside. The serving trays and tables were clearly cleaned down and the staff knew the rules. All this yet the meal was still a wonderful experience. It was not a cold and unfriendly experience at all. If you want an excellent high quality gastro pub that takes Covid safety seriously then this is your place. Served by Mikey, who was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Terrific food and service. The sirloin steak (£20) was tender and chips chunky. The onion ring side (£3.50) was almost a meal on its own. My wife’s chicken burger (£15) was very large and tasty. The shared veg platter to start was also moorish with very light batter but at £15 was a little pricey. Highly recommend and will visit again soon.

Great location - loads of space inside & out (for the rare sunny days that the UK enjoys). Ruth (our waitress on the day was on great form and very attentive).
