North Downs Golf Club in Tandridge

First time playing here on Friday with our society and what a great day it was. Very welcoming staff. I cannot stress enough how accommodating they were, no snobbery here unlike too many clubs. Hidden gem of a course in good condition considering the time of year so guess I can only blame my clubs for not winning this time round. Will absolutely be returning.

This was my 3rd visit to the course. What a fantastic time we had. Great catering staff, to the point it was my friends birthday. They even managed to find a cake and a candle which was, lovely. On days when the fairways are mown and dry the course would offer a decent experience. On this day, the grass was not cut to standard and what with the dew was swallowing the ball. Crossover fairway and odd layout would take some getting used to but regulars seem to like it. Bar food minimal - nothing hot, omelettes aside, but pleasant enough ambiance.

From the minute we got there we was welcomed From the pro shop to the lounge they really make you feel welcome Golf course is well looked after and even with the bad weather the course was very nice The food is very nice too If you get a chance to play the course you won’t be disappointed

Course is pleasant, attractive testing and teasing enough... quirky layout.... exceptionally well maintained... well stocked and equipped pro shop.... we had a lovely meal too.

There should be a treasure map for this golf course, because it's worth it's weight in gold. I played a twilight here this week, and was pleasantly surprised with how good this course was. From tee to green, each hole was in great condition, and the greens were well kept and true. Don't let the fact that the course is only 5815 yards fool you. This is a good test of golf! The clubhouse was warm and friendly and the bar was reasonably priced. This is a must play

Great course with plenty of challenges. We were given a very warm welcome by the members. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

First time at this wonderful venue. great settings, great scenery. We was part of an awards evening- the Chef and his team had no issue with serving 55 of us. the service was fast, the staff was polite and the food was awesome.

We played at North Downs recently and the course in an fantastic condition for the time of year. We are told it is even better in the summer but for this time of year it is one of the best courses around. The clubhouse is traditional boasting a really nice bar with exceptionally friendly staff. The catering is excellent and offer a really good selection of quality homemade fare ranging from an amazing full english breakfast through to lunch which can be just a sandwich or soup to something more exotic from a good menu. An all round wonderful experience and one to definitely be repeated. When people say visit North Downs, remember it is in Woldingham and the club is just outside the village at the top of the hill - trust me you will not be disappointed.

A group of us played North Downs whilst our course's greens were being tined. Fairways drier than expected and worm casts confined to rough (never punishing). Obviously bit hilly, with lots of side lies, but also quite open. Practice facilities a bit thin; they were aware that the greens were very soggy (I don't plug a 7 iron anywhere else!). Warm welcome and excellent home made soup.

We ate here after a golf day and we had Pate to start, followed by Fish pie and Apple tart and custard for desert. All excellent, the Fish pie was superb! Service was good and bar prices very reasonable. Worth checking out even if you are not a golfer.Would recommend!

The North Downs Golf Club chef has worked in many top class restaurants and it shows. The quality of the food is absolutely superb and it is cooked to perfection. Most Sundays he provides a 3 meat carvery and you won't come away hungry.A great choice of food is served 7 days a week from 0800 until 1600. The waiting staff are very friendly and efficient.
