Visited a couple of times with elderly relatives and always found the Belvedere incredibly accommodating, from listening when we ask for a quiet table away from drafts, to there being something on the menu for both a sensitive palette and an adventurous one. Lovely setting, great drinks, friendly service. Very much recommend. Shout out to Lily on this occasion, and thank you for a lovely lunch.

Lily Saunders was very helpful during my time at Belvedere Arms, she always kept coming over to make sure I was happy and always trying to go the extra mile!

First visit in a long time to the Belvedere. The refurbishment is excellent with the bar and restaurant areas now being far more welcoming with a warm atmosphere. The staff were excellent - especially Holly - efficient, knowledgeable and polite and the food was excellent. We will definitely go again. Also, considering some other restaurants in the area, great value for money with high quality and very nicely prepared main dishes and desserts.

Olivia was a great server, really attentive despite the entire restaurant being full on a busy Mother’s Day! Food came quickly, portions were great and tasted amazing. The interior decor is modern yet cosy and the service made for a lovely evening.

Had a fantastic Mother’s Day lunch here earlier today. All 3 courses were delicious, well-portioned and reasonably priced. Service was brilliant, especially Zoe, who couldn’t have done more for us (including being super attentive and helpful with my nut allergy). Beautiful outdoor area too which I look forward to returning to in the summer. Thank you Zoe and co for a really special meal out.

We came in for drinks a few weeks ago and the cocktails were fantastic! So we decided to come for dinner, food was great but the cocktails not so much.

Nice food, but patchy service, in particular pints of beer served to tables well short of a full pint. Pints of Landlord served well short, and cloudy. Predictably on next order, Landlord was off, but replacement London Pride served short and I had to take it to the bar to have it filled to a pint. Isn't there a weights and measures law in this country?

The Belvedere is definitely one of our favorite pubs in the area. We visited a few times for lunch and dinner and the service has always been friendly and the food delicious. Today I had the the pork belly with scallops and daphinouise potatos which was lovely and the staff was welcoming and friendly. Needless to say we will be back soon :)

I feel betrayed going to this place, it’s a chain like Nando’s or Mac Donald’s but they do everything to make sure you don’t realise it. We went to another pub the weekend before and the menu was EXACTLY the same, we came to this pub wanting something different, the name is different so you would expect something different too but they are identical so we looked up and realised it was a restaurant chain owned by one of the largest restaurants group in the Uk. It’s just not right, you are tricked into believing that you’re supporting a local business while it isn’t, the group owning this place make billions a year and have pubs everywhere with different names so you haven’t got a clue it’s a chain, I believe it’s the same company who owns harvester, bar o one, o’neills and other chains but they keep this one more discrete to make it more authentic, and it works I guess, but it is trickery and it’s unethical.., I think t’s wrong, I’d rather go to Côtes, MacDonalds or whatever chains that don’t try to hide the fact they are a chain nor they try to monopolise on family run businesses which is what most people expect when going to a pub without a chain name.. They write on the menu: food prepared daily by our chefs! Well i am sure they have a big central kitchen somewhere because the food looked exactly the same as what I got last week in the other pub the chain owns…

Food & Drinks were excellent but the service we received from the General Manager Nicole was atrocious, unaccommodating and frankly speaking embarrassing on her behalf as she lied to us about being fully booked and was trying to make a party of 5 comprised of 2 adults & 3 children move across to the other side of the premises as she told us that where we were seated was not suitable for us as it was fully booked and that all tables would be full in 30 minutes time. We told her that if that happens we’ll happily move but we were already seated & our toddler was strapped in a high chair. She then became extremely emotional and rude and told us if we sat there we would have to order at the bar as we wouldn’t be served be the waiter, who had already seated us and brought us menus & taken our drinks order. She then disappeared, so I went online and managed to book a table for without a problem. We then ordered food and spent the next hour enjoying ourselves. Not one person came into be seated at any of the vacant tables during our meal… Shameful behaviour from a so called general manager none the less.

Popped in for lunch today after a long walk around Virginia Water. Excellent fish and chips for starter and the chocolate bomb for dessert was amazing. Definitely worth the money. Inside of the restaurant has been done up very well and much better than it used to be. Highly recommend a visit.

Disappointing. I had a artisan bread platter that was basically toasted hovis bread. Also had issues with mixed messages about a baby change, which resulted in having to change a baby in the middle of the pub. The decor is lovely and I’m sure you can have a lovely meal here. Visited feb-23

We had a really wonderful meal at The Belvedere Arms with our friends a couple of weeks ago. It was really brilliant. The food was exceptional, very hot and tasty. The decor is very cosy, fairy lights, a fire to keep everyone warm and a nice spacious area to eat. There were 9 of us in our group, including 3 children and the staff went above and beyond to make the children relaxed and comfortable. We would highly recommend. In a perfect location right next to Virginia Waters, which we loved walking around prior to eating. We look forward to going back! Thank you to Jarran for being the perfect host.

A bit slow today - but nice food

Siblings and I attended for their bottomless brunch. I was nervous that the service would be slow and wouldn’t get our moneys worth but Luca proved us wrong! Luca was wonderful and super accommodating. He kept his eye on us all afternoon especially that we were the only ones it seemed doing “bottomless bubbles”. The food was delicious. 34.95 with a 2 course menu that included prawns as a starter and main for us seemed extremely generous. Highly recommend. Thank you Luca for a wonderful afternoon

A great place to eat with excellent food and service and very near to Virginia Water, a lovely place to walk.

We had a 3-course dinner in Belvedere Arms on New Year's day. I was blown away by how delicious and we presented the dishes were. The chef deserves a lot of credit for his work. Service was impeccable with friendy and attentive staff. Our waitress, Maria, was really great. All in all, it was one of the best experiences we had with eating out post-Covid.

Watch out for the car park, if you drive in to get something from your boot and then drive off you will get a fine, you have to go into the pub and type in your reg number, very annoying, i know why they have done it but put a barrier and give people tokens to leave.................does it all have to come down to money and catching people out if they dont look 10 foot up and see the sign...........

Booked a table a few months before and time was changed, I always take our food choice down as I am coeliac I prefer to do this. We have been probably 5 Boxing days we find the menu suits our family. We had a call a few hours before on day to say the system was down and what time were we due and how many, when we arrived the servers didn't seem to know what was ordered so I gave her the sheet of paper with who ordered what. The server was really lovely and was so accommodating. Then when we paid I mistakingly did not pay a tip as thought it was included but it was VAT. Will hope to book again in the future as its fairly close.

Extremely poor festive menu for a pub I've loved for years. Unfortunately it has for many years struggled with food, and this was particularly poor. More choice would have been a help, but not being able to produce a good burger says it all.

We just had Christmas lunch here today. I chose this venue due to previous visits being very enjoyable. Sadly it was disappointing from start to finish. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were told to wait max 5mins whilst they prepare our table. We then were taken to a table in the bar! I told the lady that I had booked a table in the restaurant, she advised that if I wanted that table I would need to wait 15 mins maybe more as the previous guests were still eating. This was quite annoying and not really my problem....they really should be more organised and maybe if they have booked seatings every two hours they need to inform the guests at the beginning then maybe 20 minutes before the table needs to be vacated so that the next guests are not sat waiting. I was also quite annoyed that we were taken to the table in the bar in hope that we would not notice.! It was only because I mentioned I had booked a restaurant table that we were told to wait. Very poor organisation and poor service! Customers should simply get what they have booked and not given something else in hope that they don't notice! When we got to the table it was just awful! The only sign of Christmas was two crackers...I noticed that some of the tables had Christmas runners and looked more festive. They should have done the same for all tables. I've been to normal pubs where it is more festive and inviting. The table was not clean. We had to wait for ages to get a wine list which when arrived was dirty and sticky. We finally received our started which was basic, the main was ok but no stuffing and a tiny amount of gravy. I saw some tables with a nice bread basket but we were just given two small pieces of toasted bread. Then to complete the disastrous Christmas lunch my dessert arrived and the presentation was so poor! I wouldn't serve this at home. The meal was expensive and the whole experience was disappointing. I will not be visiting this pub again and especially not for Christmas....they really need to smarten up the staff, the presentation of the food and the table decorations. Disappointed that I booked here, next year I will go to one of the hotels.

Beautifully decorated and staff are friendly with great service. The food is a big let down. It has gone downhill in every way. Seafood linguine was awful, dry bland. Huge pieces of uncooked garlic. Overcooked prawns. Rotisserie chicken was dry and bland. Seabass was sent out to us burnt, had to send it back. Hopefully just an off day in the kitchen.

First time visiting this lovely pub. We were served by Maria and the food and service was exceptional. The pizza in particular was outstanding! Will definitely visit again. On a date night, next time. Our 13 year old will be jealous if we go without her though, the plant based burger she ordered and demolished was delicious. Thank you Maria for paying attention to my cocktail preferences. My cocktail was so very good. Thanks all. 😊

To be honest most things in our experience need improving. We arranged a Christmas Lunch and I was extremely disappointed that there was a lack of Christmas feeling and no crackers. Your staff were very pleasant and efficient but the food was extremely average to be honest, I likened it to a pub trying hard to be a Michelin starred restaurant. The starters were ok but the mushrooms bland, the roast was poor, lack of veg which was undercooked, meat was not so nice, lack of gravy, over cooked parsnips and not so crispy roast spuds. We had one of our group meal missed on ordering and whilst swiftly dealt with she ate her main when most others had finished. The puddings were ok but Christmas pudding was a bit tight. On presentation of the bill you forgot to deduct the deposit which was really poor and let me just say the bill system is extremely confusing and no one could figure it out. Whilst you did not charge for the meal missed I feel you perhaps should have gone a little further with an added discount. I will def not be coming back based on this experience.

We had a lovely dinner at the Belvedere Arms. I had requested a table by the fireplace and when we arrived they seated us right next to it. All of the food was good for pub food. If you are in the area it is worth a visit but you don’t need to go out of your way. Our server Olivia was attentive and made our evening delightful!
