The Belgian Arms in Windsor and Maidenhead

What a wonderful find. My son and I popped in for lunch and we were very impressed. Superb service from all the staff. We both ordered Beef and Guiness pie which was sublime - every chunk of meat was tender and tasty - and the potato gratin we ordered as a side was wonderful. Outstanding food, service and ambience. Now firmly on our shortlist of best pubs for lunch - anywhere.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here on Mother's day. Food was excellent through all courses. Very friendly, polite and professional service. Will go again. Edit: Revisited today for Mum's birthday. Not disappointed at all. Good food, friendly, polite, discreet service. Will come again.

Lovely friendly pub with open fire and good gin selection.

The restaurant was great me and my family loved the fish and chips. The Waiter was excellent, I really recommend this restaurant.

Too noisy but that's not the fault of the establishment.

I had heard good things. But the night 5 of us went there to eat. 3 of us had fish and chips which was absolutely awful. Chips were like bricks and looked more like roast potatoes in size and running in fat that you could taste it all 3 meals were not eaten. Friends Steak was not done how she asked and had to be sent back. Then we waited 45 mins for deserts 3 of us again had the crumble couldnt eat it apple was hard and crumble was like cement no juice in crumble at all. 4 had starters scotch egg which they did enjoy. The mangeress was lovely couldnt apologise enough.

Smoked salmon, scotch eggs, fish and chips, burgers between us and all top notch. Very very very friendly service both behind the bar and at the table. Lovely location and look forward to visiting again.

We were there on Burns night so it may have been busier than a normal Thursday. The staff and food were great. It's probably more a restaurant than a pub these days and the food was more expensive than our usual Thursday place although it was judged better too. They were also happy for us to bring our own birthday cake. There's a big garden by the pond for the summer when it arrives

Beautiful food and service in a classic comfy British pub

It was an okay steak but for £25 with some just some okay chips and a strong green garlic paste on top. Not really worth it. In my view.

Lovely meal at The Belgian Arms. I haven't been here for about a year and the quality of the menu has definitely been improved in. We will definitely be back .... soon!

Came here for dinner with a business colleague and just have to say that Rebecca is fantastic. A real treat these days to be treated like an actual guest! Great job and look forward to going back!

Had a lovely lunch here today. A very nice pub with lovely Brakspear beers on tap and an exceptional menu. A log fire in the bar area kept things nice and warm. Furnishings were comfortable and there was plenty of space. Everything was prepared well and tasted great. The Venison shank literally fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. The sauce provided was a great touch and elevated the dish (would have liked more though;-)). The staff were attentive and friendly throughout. I will be back.

A wonderful dog-friendly place with excellent food. Staff are very welcoming and have a great affinity for pets. The Sunday roasts are just amazing.

Fantastic food but the evening was let down by the constant reminders that the Bar closes at 11 and we would need to leave the pub. This started at 10.30 and we had reminders every 10 minutes. We felt pushed out and this spoilt the whole evening. Forced to leave the premises at 11pm, totally unacceptable.

Just having moved to Holyport, we were eager to try out this highly rated gastro pub - and we were not disappointed. Best food we've had since end of last year in Sweden. Bavette steak is one of my secret favourites, and this was cooked to perfection. I won't even mention the amazing chocolate fondant with the mouthwatering peppermint ice cream ... Service outstanding, greatest place we've been to in a very long time. Consider us your new regulars 🥰

Popped in for a few drinks, lovely pub , staff and atmosphere

We came here for a birthday treat for my dad and was really impressed. All the food we all ordered was of good, fresh quality and came in good time. Nice portion sizes as well for the money. About right I would say. Staff were attentive and went that little bit extra if needed. Would be happy to go back anytime.

Visited for Sunday lunch with my sister and a friend. I have been here a while ago before Covid and thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday lunch then so was hopping it hadn't changed. I was not disappointed we all had the roast beef and it was delicious!!! Managed to squeeze in a pear & apple crumble after. (it was a squeeze as it was a large portion....not a bad thing!) My sister also had crumble and said we should have shared on. Our friend opted for cheese but she is a bit fussy so was offered an alternative to menu choice....She said it was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially our South African server. I will be returning very soon.

Great food quality and very nice environment. I brought my dog and my partner here every month for a Sunday brunch. I love their garden so much!

Lovely atmosphere and a great selection of beers to choose from. Food is nice too! Lovely in the summer as the garden overlooks a duck pond.

Service was exceptional, young staff who had obviously been well trained and supported by management. Food was delicious, every course delivered. It was lovely to be surrounded by a proper pub atmosphere without TVs etc. Highly recommend.

Last visit showed the food to have gone downhill - used to be 5 star, but on the last two occasions only 3 at best. Still a nice place though

Faultless…apart from the wine. NZ Sauvignon just under £12 per glass. Took the shine off if I am honest. 😞 2 glasses of wine cost more than the entire meal.

Fab location to meet up with friends. Good atmosphere and great gardens when good weather looking over a large pond. We'll worth a visit

Visited for a Sunday lunch with friends. Very disappointed as the meal was very average for the price, gravy was just awful left such a bitter taste in the mouth which spoilt the whole meal. Very overpriced for average pub grub.

Fantastic local pub in Holyport. Nice selection of beers and ales on tap. Nice outdoor area (when weather is nice). Food looked/smelled good - definitely return to do a Pub lunch! RECOMMEND.

Proper pub w history, nice spacious garden great service and good food. They have a fun menu that’s tasty and interesting while still supporting a strong suite of the classics. Super dog friendly, fireplace and great local crowd.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, tasty food - good choice for vegetarians etc. Watch out for local parking restrictions: although there were no signs, people who had parked on the road outside the restaurant because the car park was full had to move their cars to avoid being ticketed by local traffic wardens - I ended up parking on one of the greens near the George on the Green pub. Many thanks to the waiting staff at the Belgian Arms for warning customers in time!

Good Service but very pricey for a pub, nice food but was still hungry after the meal, a nice touch was they the tops were not automatically added the bill

Food was incredible.....but there were some let downs. I personally don't like it when you have to order side dishes to makes up the veg in your plate. It annoys me as you never know this until the plate arrives. I did ask what was the portion size like, I was told it was pretty large. I do agree with that statement but the only veg was 3 asparagus spears which makes it all feel very unhealthy and at that price point, I do expect a reasonable away of veg, or it to be abundantly clear you will need other veg. As much as the argument may well be that I did get what was on the menu, rarely does anyone list all plated items so rarely do you know the veg coming so that was disappointing. We were also sat in a table where we had to ask to get past people everytime we wanted to get up for anything. The waitress had to do this the most, but it just felt awkward and uncomfortable. I'm fine with that if in for a drink in a packed place and, but not when eating a meal. It felt far nicer when that table was clear but it rarely was clear Also no music at all.....some background music would have been nice. But the food we ate was lovely. Please could you make it clearer that side veg is required or just please add a few more veg to the main, and maybe make sure that table that blocks the table you put us on only has 2 seats there.....if we were over weight I think it would have been really embarrassing as we really had to squeeze by and that was uncomfortable enough....

Personally I found the starter very small for the price, although it was delicious (they want to leave you wanting more? Or I’m greedy?? Just an opinion based on experience elsewhere) and, I thought the burger tasted like aniseed, who remembers that horrible flavour from their Dads car sweets?? lol Probably just my unrefined palate and everyone else loves it? I just like a burger to taste like a burger

A great pub in a great looking setting, the staff are very professional and the food was brilliant, they also catered for my celiac mother very well and was very knowledgeable of how to cater for her.

Top pub. Staff with personality. There's something on the menu for everyone, from seasonal dishes to pub classics, and a great wine list. I had a delicious confit duck salad.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Belgian arms, a beautiful gastro-pub located in Maidenhead Windsor area. The restaurant is set in a lovely garden overlooking a small lake, and the atmosphere is both elegant and relaxed. The food is simply outstanding, with each dish perfectly executed and presented. The service is also top notch, with the staff being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Nice meal good service very nice location nothing to complain about at this village pub but recommend you book a table on Sundays

Such a lovely pub. The food is amazing! (Slightly expensive) but the inside and garden is gorgeous. There are heaters under the umbrellas outside. Dog friendly! Will come back again and again x

Fantastic spot for really delicious Sunday lunch. We had a big group and service was excellent with good vegetarian options too.

A lovely venue and the food was tasty, but have to say the portions were a little small for my liking (as in, very small!). If you want carbohydrate with your mean (I had stuffed chicken breast) then you'll need to ask for extra as mine came with none - just the chicken, a small biscuity thing, two asparagus spears and an egg.

It's my local for a drink and the occasional bite to eat, always made to feel welcome whether I am on my own or with partner. Spur of the moment decision to eat last night, scallops to start, chicken breast to follow. Beautifully cooked, amazing...

Family Sunday lunch. Proper home cooked sunday roast with all the trimmings. Great service, pleasant surroundings. Good value.

Extraordinary in every aspect Very accommodating for those who are Gluten Free. We had the Sunday Roast Pork Belly. I won't tell their secret of how they gave us the best roast dinner we've ever had. We had to take our time to enjoy every single mouthful slowly. Their chef is a genius. Portions ample also. Gluten Free options for pudding looked so tasty but we had no room, and I know we will be back, having just moved a few miles away in Cookham. Shout out to Imogen and Elias:)

Had wonderful Sunday roast. Great service and ambience. Portions were good, and the food was tasty. Special mention for me was the scotch egg and the pork crackling. It was excellent. Would love to visit more often.

This is a well cared for restaurant. It is meticulously clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is exceptionally good.

Went for the set munu on Valentines day. So impressed. Loved every course. Will definitely return.

Pate and scotch egg were lovely. Roast pork, Gravy, veg and Yorkshire were tasty. Roast potatoes were small and tasteless almost like they were deep fried. Service was good. Very busy and noisy pub setting, almost hard to hear each other.

Very nice restaurant but no atmosphere. There was only one other table there. They had a lovely wood fire and wise selection on the menu.

Great atmosphere, cost and inviting. We booked a late lunch (around 3pm) and the place was relatively full without being uncomfortable. There was a fire going and people could bring dogs. The place was a great option for groups of 6 or less dining and for drinks. Service was a little slow at times but this was just in the busiest period. Great menu options for all dietary needs and high quality and large meals. Would recommend booking a table if going on a weekend

For 25 or so pounds you will be treated with a bland main meal and a bog standard beer but on the plus side some pleasant views across the lake will cheer you up. It’s a shame the outside space is treated as a smokers haven.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in this period country pub. Not far from Windsor where we'd looked around the shops, we googled pubs near Bray and found this one just tucked around the corner off Holyport green. The cheese soufflé and Venison pie were flavoursome beautifully accompanied by a wonderful glass of rioja, perfect!

My Venison pie turned out to be a brioche pastry top filled with meat which felt more like pulled pork than venison stew. Came with a rock hard carrot, some braised whole garlic cloves, and some fairly tasteless red cabbage. Halibut was , by all...

It's a great pub, good choice of beers and wines. If you can get seats in front of open fire, very cosy.

Of the 3 ales only 2 were on, the weakest and the strongest! Had upteen lagers on! Young guy serving didn't seem bothered either way, in fact wondering why I was complaing as 2 were on. And pubs wonder why customers don't bother paying high prices!

Visited here with family, great pub with an old but cosy atmosphere. Really enjoyed the Sunday roast and as did all my family. We will all visit again

Great restaurant tucked away in Holyport by the pond. Been there multiple times. Great food & service. Nice in the summer when you can sit outside.

Meal was unreal, Virgin Mary was perfect, starters and main 10/10 (stuffed chicken was wow) dessert also perfect !!!!

Nom Nom Nom... We should have taken photos but we were enjoying ourselves far too much to even think about it. Visited on an early Saturday evening; 4 adults, 1 toddler. We requested our LGs food to be brought out asap and they kindly did - she scoffed nearly all of it! Two of us had the Wellington (wow, one of the best we've ever eaten - it was delicious)! The other two had sausage & mash and they said it was one of the best they'd ever eaten too. Desserts also went down wonderfully too! Service was excellent, very attentive and made us feel very welcome. We'd only previously visited for Father's Day and despite them being extremely busy, we were well looked after and the food was delicious so we knew we had to come back on a 'normal' evening. All of us definitely can't wait to come back! Thank you so much.

Deliciously tender roast beef complete with crispy potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and mixed vegetables. Service was good, particularly from Orla (?) and Elliot (?) They have a good understanding of items on the menu. Apparently the jus for the gravy takes 3 days to preopare. Consequently...
