Lovely salad box and mug of tea. Freshly prepared and very tasty. Just one tiny fault was that they had their radio on in the kitchen area which was a bit loud and they couldn’t always hear what the customers ordered. Perhaps turn the volume down just a tad! Apart from that it was perfect!

I came here two Saturdays ago around 10ish. Lovely place, I was severed by a little blonde girl, offered me a wide range of choice on the menu. I am also picky in what I eat so she explained what is in each filling. I ordered a bacon and sausage roll, it was lovely. Definitely, go back she offered service with a smile and a credit to this lovely little café. Thank you

O incluso me reconoció. Servicio Asqueroso. Nunca llegué a volver.

Gran comida fresca y personal amable.

Located in the village of Lingfield it caters for both the local builders and tradesmen, as well as passing trade. Food is made there and then in front of you and service with a smile is standard. Hot and cold food choices to be had, and some seating if you fancy taking a proper break. Been many times and will continue to as never disappointed and enjoy the friendly banter.

Probably the best baguette I have ever had, great little place I wish I lived closer! Customer service was a little bit poor and the lady serving us could come across as slightly rude.

I called in on Friday for lunch. Great choice of fillings for lunch and they didn't skimp so I didn't go hungry. They also offer burgers and hot fillings. My only concern would be hygiene as some of the staff had coughs and colds, coughed into their hands without washing or wearing gloves before making the food!

the baguette bar is a great little jewel situated in lingfield surrey. everything is prepared fresh daily and they bake their bread throughout the day so its fresh and warm when its served. they also buy their produce as local as they can to keep the local community thriving. they also provide a catering service for birthday, business lunches, weddings and funerals with their 5* awarded fresh food. and this little shop has been given the best place to eat by RH magazine. in my mind a credit to the village.

This was held on the last Sunday in the month and was always an excellent meal. Nice people in a wonderful setting. It is a shame it has closed and I wish them well in retirement.

Service was poor/ lacking and bordering rude. Despite being told to ‘sit there whilst we get you menus’ it turned out that was indeed our place next to the bar prep area with all its banging and crashing. So many staff but no captain (the lady I assume was in charge was not interested). It was organised chaos. Took orders for drinks but they never arrived. Requested jug of water, didn’t arrive. I don’t think the same member of staff came back once. Dinner was great quality etc - except I was rudely told I couldn’t get more potatoes only the cabbage, pretty odd considering they charge over £20 for a carvery. I honestly thought our table was invisible to them. Kept having to try and catch their attention and they’d do anything to look away. Really unfriendly. Desert was bizarre. I fancied a chocolate sundae, I got 2 ice cream scoops with a fat chocolate cookie forced in between. Ridiculous. And to top it all I asked for the bill and that person said yes then 10 minutes later was doing something else so I ask again. They charged me £18 service charge too! Such a shame as the building is lovely, food (carvery anyway) was nice but the service was astonishing - a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant.

Up until a couple of months ago the fish and chips used to be wonderful here, the last two takeaways have been awful. Just returned home with a takeaway and the chips were soggy, the plaice was awful, Rick hard batter and dry rubbery fish. Such a shame We used to use Derp Blue regularly…. Won’t be going back again
