Probably the last proper English cafe in the area. Great place for a decent fry up to set you up for the day.

Today I visited this lovely cafe’. Friendly and welcoming staff. The service was great. The premises were very clean. I went for lunch with my family and I had a very tasty and delicious jacket potato. The portions were very generous. I will certainly go back as I saw so many delicious dishes that looked very yummy and I would like to try them! I highly recommend this hidden gem for lunch or breakfast. Thank you 😊

Friendly staff, fast fuss-free service (great for limited lunch break), and best of all the food is a very high standard. I've been coming here a lot over the last few months and never been disappointed - food is always piping hot and perfectly cooked. And the prices are very reasonable too. Great old-school cafe.

Cold, over priced with one sausage, one small piece of bacon, micro beans, cold tomato and toast. Had better in McDonald's .

One of the best Full English Breakfasts I’ve had, and definitely the best in Maidenhead. Food all cooked really well and packaged brilliantly for take away during this pandemic. Lady at the till very nice and friendly. Ingredients all really good quality, cooked perfectly, eggs still runny, all food warm. Only downside is it’s cash only. But highly recommend.

The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. Portions are large and food always tastes great and it’s not very expensive. A great place to have a quick meal with friends or family and especially great for a nice cooked breakfast :))

This is a really good value place. The food is varied and have specials every day. It is a family run Restaurant and very friendly. It is down to earth serves it's community extremely well. It is very good value and you will never leave feeling unsatisfied. The decore is interesting with a mini Hard Rock Cafe feel because of the various collected items framed on the walls. cartoon cells, music memorabilia, and other intriguing items. And a really good cup of tea to boot.

Always well cooked and great value. I have been visiting occasionally for the last 30 years when it was based in the old market. Was good then and is good now, however the coffee could be improved.

I visit the Teapot fairly regularly, and have always found the food and the service to be superb. Bangers and mash like Mum used to make..!! Ok, it looks like an old transport cafe, but so what! you'll need to go to some lengths to get better!!

A basic cafe conveniently near the central bus interchange in Frascati Way Maidenhead. Simple surroundings, cheerful friendly service, good range of breakfasts and cafe food and very reasonably priced. No frills but well supported by local police and people working nearby.

Quick friendly service as visited morning on Monday 12/03/18. Nice breakfast for me and my wife which we both enjoyed. Price is a little steep thou. Friendly staff all round. Would visit again for a breakfast only downside is other customers who visit cause an issue within the cafe which isn’t the cafes fault as business is business. As on our visit some other customers caused too much noise which disturbs your visit to eat.

I popped in here for a quick bite to eat with my daughter. Was first impressed by the 5 star hygiene rating on the door. From the inside you can see why they have it. There is a very good selection on the menu from lighter bites to main meals. I ordered the sausage sandwich and bacon and egg. Bacon was lovely and not fatty as you often find in cafes. When the lady who served me realised the sausage sandwich was for my 5 year old she immediately asked if I would like her to cut it up smaller. The short time I spent in here was delightful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed too much of a bother whenever I asked for something. Is very rare to find places these days where staff are so aware of their customers needs. I don't really write trip advisors for places but was so impressed with this place I felt the need to do so. Thank you very much ladies. I will definately be coming back again.

Our relatives love taking us to this place...they are greeted like old friends and we all enjoy the attentions of staff who know them, are genuinely interested in them and are clearly proud of the standard of home cooked food on offer. We all enjoyed our meals, I particularly rate my fish cakes. Great food, great atmosphere and great price.

Consistant, No thrills tasty English café food, done very well. Great service, great atmosphere. Well priced. Me and my family have been coming here for 4 years, and ive now decided to review!..My breakfast special hasn't changed in that many years, Always hot, bacon never soggy, eggs always soft, beans always hot. My son has grown up here. We genuinely love it. The staff are fantastic, and from the laughter often coming from the kitchen you can see why the place has such a nice atmosphere.

My wife and myself have lots of days out in various towns in the South, now that we are retired we find it nice to take a look at all these places we have heard of but never visited. The first thing we always do is tramp around looking for a "good old fashioned ENGLISH cafe" this is getting more difficult to do as almost everywhere you you go it's all Bistro's and coffee shops etc (same if your looking for a roast dinner!!). However whilst in Maidenhead we came across the Teapot cafe, hidden away at the top of town, so glad we did, this little gem was just what we were looking for, 1st we noticed in the window the 5 star hygiene rating (ALWAYS a must for us). The staff were extremely welcoming and made us feel at home (to the young lady who was playing with her mobile all the time - do it out of sight love, gives the imrpession your not really interested!!!) Apart from this very slight observation now down to the review of the meal. We both ordered liver & onions, mash & the obligatory peas where you seem to get everywhere, a little cabbage would be a welcome change!!. The meal itself couldn't be faulted, plenty of it and piping hot, we noticed from the menu boards a good array of homemade dishes and decided there and then that we would return at a later date to sample another delight. All in all a very good cafe which we have no hesitation of highly recommending.

After travelling for three hours we just needed lunch - not an expensive meal at a sit down restaurant but where we could be fed and quite quickly. Both Tesco and Waitrose where we had stopped didn't have a café so we said we would stop at the first one we saw. What a lucky find - no it's not a gourmet restaurant it's a cafe where you go when you want feeding. The staff were so lovely - the range of lunch quite wide and value for money fantastic. We had omelette and chips - there were beautifully cooked and came served with coleslaw and fresh side salad. Definitely not handy for parking though .

I visited this café after someone recommended it for fish & chips. Note there is apparently no sit-in fish & chip restaurant anywhere in Maidenhead town centre - only outside - so this seemed on the face of it the best place for local fish & chips (but it is a general café). This venue is 'rough & ready' and they seem to specialise in breakfasts and general rough café food.

I booked in advance, but there were tables available. So please do enquire if in Bray for the day. I had notified whilst booking it was my Birthday. Living alone, the person checking in my booking and lovely server both gave me greetings. That was special for me. I ordered the Potage of Veg. A soup created with a medley of ground vegetables with Turmeric. Perfect starter for me. I love my soup, especially with fantastic crusty bread. Next course was the Roast Beef, Yorky, Roast Potatoes, long stemmed broccoli and a side bowl of root vegetables. The gravy was certainly enough for me too. The beef had retained its fluid and fell apart with the knife. I had no fat on my plate when finished. It was rendered so well, it too burst with flavour as it melted in my mouth. The veg was served to the bite. Roast potatoes were done like I wish they were everywhere else. There is no salt and pepper on the table. You will not need them. The seasoning was perfect. The Servers were conscious of making sure all was to my satisfaction. I could also hear all the servers engaging in light conversations with all the other guests. It added to a warm atmosphere. Dogs are welcomed. I found they were well controlled and added a homely touch to the experience. I had always wanted to try fine dining, but in a relaxed setting. I decided this year for my birthday I would. I’m glad I picked The Crown. Well done to all.

I would love this place for location and garden but every time I go it disappoints massively. Service is very amateur - young people who don't care - service is very bad and unprofessional - sorry but it needs an overhaul, such a waste of a place - staff sitting around drinking the owners profits - such a shame

I got a coffee and a veggie breakfast. Coffee was decent. The food and service was a bit disappointing. We weren’t told until the food had arrived that there were no beans. The eggs weren’t cooked properly (had runny whites) and one of the yolks was broken before even arriving at the table. The toast was more like just bread, as it wasn’t toasted that much. Veggie sausage was fine though. All of that and the staff weren’t the friendliest. The two people working felt a bit harried despite coming at a pretty slow time.

Visited recently and was disappointed however maybe just a one off. Staff were a little flat and didn't really know what they were doing. The order came out wrong and I didn't particularly like the food. Great idea and location and hopefully will get better.
