My wife and I used Sweet Cakes to provide the cake and cupcakes for our wedding last year. Throughout the whole process, Chris & Ali were very friendly & helpful. They listened to our requests and created a design which we were very happy with. We had a couple of queries along the way and they were polite whenever we needed to speak with them. Not only did the cake and cupcakes look incredible, they tasted just as good as they looked. Genuinely some of the best cake I've ever had, if not the best. Thank you to Sweet Cakes for making this part of our wedding so so easy. Amazing quality service, brilliant cake and very competitive pricing too. We'd highly recommend these guys for your wedding cake needs, and they also have brilliant cupcakes available in store.

Owners seem nice, good service and great range of cakes. Cupcake and drink for £2.50 which is incredibly cheap but the coffee was not good. Perhaps tea is better choice. Would go again to try other cake options and have tea

Make sure you pre order cupcakes to avoid upsetting the staff! I dropped in to buy a number of cupcakes for a kids birthday party and was spoken to very rudely by a member of staff who was upset that I bought 12 cupcakes 6 of which were the same flavour. You’d think for a small local business they’d be happy to sell a large quantity of cupcakes and take your money, but nope, they couldn’t have been more unappreciative and rude. I will not be returning here.

We stopped for a break at this fantastic little place, the cakes are the best I've tasted and at a price you feel you have got your money's worth the pot of tea for two is enough for five well worth every penny, well worth a visit.👍

I went to sweet cakes and asked for Alice in wonderland cake Omg the cake was much more then what I expect the detail was fantastic. All my friends and family said how amazing it was they had never seen a cake like it Thank you so so much sweet cakes

Situated in Southsea with some outside seating we stopped off or some drinks and cakes last week. Had the drink and cup cake offer where we choose the Oreo and Choc Orange cup cakes to go with a hot chocolate and a tea. Service was quick and cup cakes tasted nice.

Ordered a 90th Birthday cake for my dad, as he was a carpenter they used this theme for his cake. It looked absolutely fantastic and tasted delicious. Thank you dad and the family loved it.

Popped in here last minute to grab some cupcakes for my daughters birthday, huge selection on offer, reasonably priced and they looked amazing, extremely friendly, helpful service. Cakes taste just as good as they look :) will be back!

Live local thought we would try this shop looked nice but chose my products and customer service wasn’t very good at all. Spent quite a lot in there and was told last minute they didn’t take cash. When I returned I waited whilst others were serve no problem but to wait whilst the cashier chatted and finished her long conversation was unnecessary and not good customer service. I got to the front to pay and the lady asked how much my items were whilst they added it up again, the woman dumped my items on the counter in front of me. Asked for a bag she said you have to pay for it - told me it was 10p and the. Got me a 25p bag I paid and was not thanked for my business - felt like telling them to keep the cakes to be honest! I then checked the items and the cakes were all mushed up were in top of one another and some on their sides - not even placed in the box properly! So thanks but no thanks in future!

Nice friendly atmosphere, lovely cake displays, we had our wedding cakes made here. Alway worth a visit.

Just the best chocolate and cherry cake you can imagine. Everybody I offer a slice too is blown away. Taste, texture and presentation are fabulous. I need to find an excuse to buy another one!

Always a warm welcome here. Lovely to enjoy lunch surrounded by an amazing array of decorated cakes including a large selection of cup-cakes. Very good value.

Popped in for an ice cream with my granddaughter and was totally surprised at the cake displays, so ended up having a cup of tea with cake. Very nice lady behind the counter and will definitely be going back!

Encontramos este pequeño tesoro cuando estábamos muriendo por café y algunos pasteles. Todas las tartas realizadas en las instalaciones por el dueño y que son sensacionales. El propietario, y su esposo, haga todas las tortas para todas las ocasiones y su gran variedad de tortas es la mente. La señora es muy amable y servicial y te hace sentir muy bienvenidos en su tienda. Fue una alegría para reunirse y hablar con ella. El café era bueno y los pasteles brillantes. Sin duda merece la pena caen en si están en el barrio.

Desde que tuvimos nuestro pastel de bodas hecho aquí nos han enganchado! El servicio es de primera y siempre me hicieron sentir bienvenido. Estaban siempre a mano para ayudar con el diseño y ofrecer consejos sobre lo que funciona mejor, nada era fuera de límites!También tienen una tienda en la que locales y ofrecen una amplia variedad de bizcochos, todas únicas y hechas a mano. El sabor es absolutamente delicioso, incluso a los adultos se les hace sentir como un niño en una tienda de dulces con todos los sabores y colores vivos en la pantalla. Hay una pequeña zona de estar en el lugar que puede acomodar a un grupo de 2 - 4 personas, ya que no 'comer', y una selección de bebidas calientes están también disponibles. Un negocio realmente maravilloso que merece crédito, pero nada que no puedo recomendar lo suficiente!
