Shawarma Lounge in Portsmouth

Unsure of the negative reviews as I’ve been here a handful of times since university and had great food and service every time. Always a welcoming atmosphere, clean and cheerful. I had a chicken shawarma whilst my colleague had a pizza. Also had shisha here.

came in and ordered a lamb wrap, and a chicken thigh burger or something and they were great! got a side order of cheesy chips and must have been one of the best we’ve had ahaha. the girl working there with the shishas, aicha, was super friendly and helpful, giving us options of whether we wanna be inside or outside and once we went outside she allowed us to use to aux, which was sound. she went through all the shisha stuff with us and again was really considerate and helpful. the place was really cosy and welcoming, both inside and outside and had a great atmosphere to it with a cute decor. defo coming back and telling other people about this place

Terrible chef Poor service Food is over cooked by one main chef who doesn't know how to grill chicken wings. Or generally how to make proper food Shisha workers are always changing. Shisha garden definetly needs a big revamp. Here's a picture of the chicken wings that was served to my brother

fires not crispy even though menu said so , fallafel wrap was disgusting and had odd taste , and side order of grilled vegetables consisted of two bits of cauliflower two bits of broccoli with chilli powder sprinkled on top , was expecting a decent level of food considering prices

Kuku's Thunder Thighs live here.... Need I say much more. Moved from the city centre. Thunder thigh burger is awesome. That tender though meat!!!!

Unfortunately this place for food is a let down, I've came here twice and every time I want something from the menu they don't either have it. It's happened every time I go and I find that ridiculous sorry to say and very appealing for a business like this. Service is very poor and can be very slow even though there ain't no customers eating in. Overall a no go for me, there's Shake and Grill few doors away if you want Proper food
