McDonald's in Portsmouth

A Mickey D’s manager once told me that ‘if’ you want fresh hot food, then please don’t hesitate to ask the order taker to make a ‘fresh drop’ on your item such as fish fingers. I’ve always done that, but still I have to check the fish fingers since they quite frequently make a mistake and put in the old ones that are well well past their freshness I visited today the 6th of Decemeber at 2232. I waited about 5mins before I asked for someone to take my order. A young man was in the middle of processing an order and appeared confused so I said please finish what you are doing I shall wait. Meanwhile a young lady came and took my order. I asked for two happy meals with fish fingers and asked for them the be dropped fresh for my order and I also clearly stated I am more than happy to wait. She told me that she would personally ensure that I would get fresh fish fingers and that to not worry. I asked her her name and she told me she was Bernie. After awhile the orders were ready and she gave them to me and I went to the car and decided to check the fish fingers as it seemed like something was not right. And to my surprise the fish fingers were not only rock hard they weren’t even like warm. I returned back to the store and Bernie did not seem as happy and as cheerful as before. I guess she has assumed I’d trusted her and that I’d be upset when I got home. I didn’t yell, I didn’t cause a scene she went and told the manager. A largish young lady with dark rinmed glasses who just looked at me casually and didn’t even bother to come and talk to me. I simply was served the fish fingers after the allotted time and this time although fresh, it seems the met were taken out before their time as they had no actual color on them. Am I being picky? Am I wrong? It’s not as if when McDonald’s tells you that you owe them £9,24 that we can pay them £8 and they’d be happy. Whatever they ask for we pay, so why is it so difficult for the staff to simply get the order right. Bernie asked me if the £11 she was making is worth people yelling at her. I said no one should be yelling no matter what the reason. Anyway needless to say this store like a few others sure needs customer service training. But hey for me, I will avoid it like I avoid a few others. Wherever McDonalds stores fails, the local KFC pickup the business. And they have so far always been on the money.

Food was stone cold - chips didn’t even taste cooked they was frozen, burgers was vile and stone cold, and to top it off the coke was thrown around and half of it let the cup and went all over the food.

I ordered two chips and two drinks these do not take over an hour to do. no straws either

All the hot food was freezing cold. Had to microwave my son’s food but I couldn’t eat it. And I tipped the driver.

My drinks came but no hot food now my kids had to wait over an hour for food and when finually arrived it was only The drinks no hot food then when I tried to complain on app they asking for clear photographic evidence which the delivery driver took

Ordered with a timescale of 15-20mins - and taken around 1hr 15 to arrive - drivers route when tracked went to 2 other roads before delivery - all hot food was stone cold and milkshake & McFlurrys had melted

All the 'hot' food was absolutely freezing and they forgot items too. I've submitted for a full refund.

I am a regular customer here and order via McDonald’s app (Uber eats) and I have to say this store is unbelievable! Over 20 occasions i have had missing products for a while I wasn’t reporting it as it was only the odd milkshake or drink but then I thought no I’m a paying customer I deserve a refund but now I have done 3 refunds via uber whenever I call up for a refund they refuse it as they probably deem it as suspicious activity which i understand as I work in a store which has Deliveroo and uber eats but do you really think I would go out my way to lie about a milkshake missing? No, the service at this store is absolutely appalling from now on I’m going to start recording the delivery of my orders and open them in real time to prove it because it is beyond a joke how bad the service is!

took an hour to arrive and was freezing. even the ice in the drinks had melted. missing chicken nuggets too. really not happy

Long wait for food on an in restaurant order (20+ min for a happy meal), most of the staff were focused on drive thru and delivery orders. Saw many customers complaining about missing items in their order once prepared.

Unreal! Delivered a single bigger when I ordered 9 selects and 2 double cheeseburgers. Nobody answers the phones and the driver is a complete muppet. Give me my money back

I ordered quite a large order for my family, spent £67 for the food to be 1 hour and 20 mins late, the food was cold, tried to warm the food in the microwave and made all the food chewy and inedible, I want a refund please not just eat vouchers as I wont be ordering again, just a waist of food and my money.

Stopped for breakfast. 6.30 Sunday place is filthy, food all over the floor. Hash browns were cold. Eggs on McMuffin were green! So effectively spent £12 on 2 cups of coffee. To be avoided at all costs.

Rock hard bread, one drink spilled in the bag and one missing all together. The food that did arrive was cold.

Drver didnt look at the pistcode of our address so went to fareham instead of pirtchester, i explained where our house was, driver stopped texting and changed status to "delivered". I called my daughter to check....it hadnt been delivered!!!

Went here a week ago, max is an hour and a half stay. Stayed there 20 minutes over because I was seeing some friends AND I also have a kid who takes ages to eat. Oh and the food took 30 minutes to actually arrive to us…Now I have a £100 parking ticket. Next time I will have to tell my two year old son to eat his food quicker and isn’t allowed to have an extended period of time using the toilet for a number 2. I am actually astonished that you only have an hour and a half to eat your food and have a catch up with some old friends..quite sad actually

food was really cold. very disappointing. my double big Mac minus the bun and onion arrived with burger, 2 pickles and cheese, no lettuce or sauce on it. it's actually awful how the food is not hot but not even warm. this could be a Uber eats problem taking too many deliveries at a time or the site is getting it ready way before the driver turns up or its both. something has to change.

They gave me a bottle of water instead of milkshake didn’t deliver my mcflurrys and changed the recipe so it looked like I ordered what they had stuck in the bag but it doesn’t match my oder summary on the app so no i wont be ordering again from north harbour and I expect a full refund

Our food was extremely late and absolutely everything was stone cold! I mean, it was a complete order which was a nice surprise but not nice enough to make up for the fact it was all stone cold. Quite an achievement though, the hot food was cold and the cold drinks were warm!!

I called josh as i cant have a breakfast roll without syrup [don't nock it till you try it] and he put two in there. unreal service lovely bloke. Definitely getting a tip afterwork :)

arrived quite quickly from JUST EAT, i always order a Mcflurry to finish my meal using JUST EAT the ice cream is still solid and edible and the meal is hot

slow delivery and missing items

Still stood here waiting for my food - it's been fifteen minutes so they're getting a bad review. I have never seen less urgency in my life.

Usually don't have any issues with this location. Today however, was shocking! Ordered using the kiosks and selected dine in and table service. Woefully slow process. To add insult to injury, they delivered a drink incorrectly (meant to be their promotional hot drink and was a cappuccino instead). After waiting at an unstaffed till for 5 mins (no one queuing) and being thoroughly ignored by staff who could clearly see I was waiting, someone eventually someone saw fit to see to my point. It was quickly rectified once the issue was outlined. That being said, despite the order clearly being for a "large" hot drink and being charged the additional for it, the contents were barely half full. Overall, rather disappointing. I normally wouldn't have an issue as reasons for poor performance (high numbers of orders and understaffing) can be evident but today held no evidence of this.

Unfortunately good did not arrive and over an hour after scheduled delivery (13:40) website said it was still being dear 12:11 and after I made contact the website was updated to say the food had been delivered at 12:00 .

McFlurry melted and rest was cold, said on receipt that food was ready at around 18:00 and I didn't receive it until 18:50

Great price for the meal we had.

Very good staff lovely atmosphere situated in a nice location by the motorway but everytime I order the Diet Coke from this branch, it does seem a bit iffy and taste completely different. Without this issue, I would of given this McDonald’s a 5 stars but none the less it’s still a recommended branch

bags had been opened before delivery. and my order was missing 4 mcflurys. I questioned the driver and he said the restaurant didn't seal the bags. but to me it looks like they did and it was opened by the driver.

Food is just a pure disappointment, the people who work here just simply don’t care! Whole meal missing ? How can you miss a whole meal? Doesn’t make sense to me! Just spent £30!! Better chance eating the Aldi dupe!

After waiting more than an hour for the order to be given to a courier, two breakfast rolls were delivered; one was ordered without bacon, but had bacon in, and the other had eggshell in it - which nobody would order.

Worst McDonald's ever. They are so slow at doing anything, and unorganized. The food normally comes out wrong. Hate coming here. I have managed to even write this post before even being served here and I'm the only customer

I live about 3 minutes from McDonald's but again the burger was luke warm and the fries were stone cold , what is going on in that place, do they get my order made straight away then have to wait half hour for a delivery driver? it's so annoying

My food arrived soaked with my drink, and I was unable to eat the food as it was wet and cold from the drink. I would like a refund because I ordered food expecting to be able to eat it, and it arrived soaking wet.

Over 3 hours waiting then it didn’t turn up at all!!

Said 45 minutes was an hour and 15 minutes. Food was cold and coke lid wasn’t on on properly so leaked everywhere, leaving very little coke to drink.

Took over an hour, courier went everywhere but to mine took nearly 45 minutes from the restaurant to mine which should be 5-10 at most. Extremely unhappy. I am livid.

The worst McDs I've ever had. The staff were totally uninterested in what they were doing and completely ignorant. The burgers were cold because they'd been left "waiting for the CHIPS". I never knew McD had chips, I thought they were fries!. The whole store was a chaotic mess. Not all the crews fault - too much is being done. No wonder McDs have lost massive sales. Buck your ideas up. I'm an old store manager and I could see apathy.
