Food was cold, order large chips but there was barely any chips and they were over cooked and bottom of the bag

Chips looked and tasted like re heated old chips. I have picture evidence apart from that everything else was ok. Please improve the quality of your chips

Not for us. Chips were tasteless and soggy. Fish was smallest piece of cod. It was fine but nothing special. Not worth £15 for sure.

Tried this chippy fir the first time as I am new to the area must say pleasantly surprised ascto the quality and was still hot.

Great service and great portions. The taste was some of the best fish and chips we have had. Very friendly staff. We will be back next time we are in the area.

I ordered the first time at sharps fish and chips , it was very busy but the staff was welcoming quick and friendly. I ordered standard Cod, chips and mushy peas which came to a very good price.It was the best fish and chips i have ever tasted. Wonderful soft, white cod, beautiful light, crisp batter and perfectly cooked chips, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I would highly recommend it.

Nice and clean fish and chips not overly oily and they don’t over pre-cook so you may have to wait for your food here sometime but at least it’s very fresh. Really good portion sizes not to little but not to much that you end up wasting food won’t be going anywhere else now I have found this fish and chips. Ordered a large chips which normally can be shared between 2 people but the portion resembles a small portion and was barely enough to feed 1 person. Very disappointing as I’m normally happy with portion sizes

Best fish and chips in Caterham would really recommend

Usually the fish and chips is nice but we were given over cooked stodgy chips last night. I felt they were left from lunchtime, really brown on the outside and claggy inside. They tasted like when you warm up toast potatoes, the starch had solidified and they were hard to swallow, plus they were only warm, not hot. Strangely , the fish was hot. The fish was good and freshly cooked so hence I did not give the 'terrible'mark. It's not worth the risk if half the meal is unpleasant so I choose the Poor mark. As two large fish and chips can be about £30 with a couple of extras , it's probably not worth bothering again. It was meant as a treat but it fell wide if that mark with the half cold old chips. I'm sorry to give a local business a poor mark but there you go

Hands down the worst chippy ever. The chips tasted like they had been fried, and refried over and over. Fish bites, that really didn’t have any fish in them. The curry sauce was nice, but the pot was tiny (£2). Don’t use this place.

I have enjoyed most times going to this shop but after last night I will not return , I was eating my fish and it was undercooked and then I wake up this morning and I have just been throwing up , as the fish was undercooked , it’s put me off fish now but , this is the first time it’s happened to me , this is a good shop but just be careful

Barely edible ! Payed £ 19.00 the chips are bone dry,the sausauge is hard .. sorry but i know businesses are struggling but serving up food like this is unacepptable

The food was as always superb and portions are large. Standard delivery time given was 35-55 mins. It ended up being 75 minutes. Maybe that is why I had to heat the food up again when it got here.

Ordered a delivery direct from the shop itself including large cod, cod bites and a spring roll with chips. The fish and roll were both extremely well cooked, not at all greasy. The fish batter was crisp and the cod itself was a generous portion, thick and meaty. The spring roll was also well cooked and delicious. Recommended as a go to for fresh fish and chips delivery, check out their website first as they have their own delivery which is better and cheaper than certain other paid for delivery services.

Been using this takeaway for about 6 years now. Very friendly, polite team. Recent staff/ownership changes have not affected the quality and infact, the previous staff/owners still contribute. I generally call 10 minutes before and come in to pay/collect but they also do delivery locally. The fish is of excellent quality and you can definitely taste the difference between Sharps and other fish & chip shops. The fish is generally thick and the batter is light, crispy and well cooked. The chips are also good quality. They also use proper onion vinegar which is always a bonus. No doubt I’ll be in there some time this week as we normally use them once every week or 10 days. When we call, they even know it’s us 🤭 Keep up the good work guys

Food was mediocure at best as it was greasy. But the chips were not the right potatos to chip tge way they should be.

Been having sharps fish and chips for over a month now. Absolutely spectacular. And dosnt take that long either, (about a 10 to 20 minute wait.) As well as some very good offers. I would definitely recommend the haddock and chips.

I regularly go to Sharp's and have always found thier food is consistently good. In my opinion thier chips are the best around. I particlarly love the selection of fresh fish they have on the menu, as I do prefer haddock over cod, but not all my family do, so the choice is there. Burgers are equally as tasty (I do like a tasty burger from time to time and go for a 1/2 lb'er with cheese, lettice, onions and mayo - dont judge ;) ) If you want a great fish and chips on Fish Friday (or any other day for that matter) I wouldnt pick another plaice near them. (Sea what I did there!)

Service was terrible I came in before other people and I was served last came in for two chips and took them over 20 mins decided to just cancel my order and leave absolutely disgusting can’t even do a simple task

Delicious takeaway, delivered nice and hot on arrival (which is rare, usually I have to put everything in oven or microwave before playing up!). Everything was well fried, though if I was to be picky, there was a slight taste of maybe old oil being used? It didn't put me off enjoying the meal as it was well fried, everything was crisp but not dry. The children had burgers which they all enjoyed. I would happily order again.

Just awful, £9 for that rank bit of fish. Chips tasted burnt and over cooked. Chicken chunks more like charcoal. As for the battered sausage🤢 just disgusting dry and beyond edible. How disappointing and completely unsatisfactory.
