Pondwood Lakeside Cafe in Windsor and Maidenhead

Very misleading ! There is a wonderful lake but this can only been seen if you sit outside! As the weather was cold we sat inside and it could of been any transport cafe in England. Not enough staff lead to 40 minute wait. Tables were left uncleared and could see in to washing up area which was a real mess. We were so hungry that the breakfast and burger tasted ok. Sadly will not be going back!

Had a lovely lunch here. Gorgeous setting and the best Chocolate milkshake! Hubby had fab burger and I had a chicken club sandwich. Delicious

Went here for breakfast with friends on a Sunday morning where we were the only customers there. Food was mostly ok if you like anemic sausages and scrambled egg you could smash a window with. When we were overcharged and questioned it, I was called a ‘bitch’ by the waitresses mother. Finally got the difference back, plus a free attitude problem!

Discovered during lock down but only just had a chance to actually recce. The gentlemen running the cafe where really helpful and welcoming. It's perfect as a pit stop for our bike rides. Lake side views while you drink tea and eat cake. Will be returning. Absolutely recommend if in the area, even if just fancy a cooked breakfast!

Such a secluded and beautiful setting. Very nice staff snd exceptional food. Very well pleased with our visit. Will definitely make it a regular.

What can I say the food is top notch not greasy at all great service great atmosphere I was there fishing for the weekend and decided to have breakfast 100% will go back

Who would have thought that just a stone's throw from main towns this idyllic setting exists. The Pondwood Lakeside Cafe should be a 'must visit' on everyone's list. Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic setting. Friendly and welcoming. I cannot praise this gem of an eatery enough! Don't just take my word for it, go and experience it yourself.

Ate previously at the cafe, noticed a flyer for a diabetic tasting evening. So booked.and arrived last night after booking for what turned out to be a fabulous dining experience! 15 different individual dishes!!! I would definitely recommend this venue.

Can’t recommend this place enough,been there a few times now and the food is amazing,good service with very friendly staff,always a good choice on the menu.set in a lovely location over looking lakes.cant wait till my next visit.

Special night with 15 tasters of diabetic friendly foods. Each made on site, exciting and delicious. Attention to detail is second to none. Heading back there for breakfast today.

Having never celebrated Valentines Day before decided to try their menu as it looked so appetising and we were not disappointed the food was superb and the staff as usual were very friendly and attentive would highly recommend again.

Been twice now, lovely food, chef very accommodating and will tweak menu, setting really nice with the fisherman sitting around the lake.

Thought I try this place out today and so glad I did..the food was amazing,staff helpful and friendly and lovely views across the lake!!! good choice on the menu all freshly cooked to order (the scotch eggs were the best) and all reasonably priced.will definitely go back. :)

Excellent food, good service, very fast , extremely polite. Overall great breakfast and lovely location, definitely would recommend it!

Have been 3 times to this new cafe and have had great food every time latest was for lunch and I have never seen such a big burger accompanied by some great chips wife had a very tasty curry. The staff are very friendly and the chef is open to suggestions
