Eliane in Windsor and Maidenhead

As we walked into Elaine's, we were not greeted by the staff or even our entrance acknowledged. There's no table service despite 3 staff behind the counter chatting amongst themselves, you have to take a menu and then go to the counter to order. As a table of 3, we all ordered our food, which arrived at the table all at different times, usually 1 item at a time. £75 for 3 breakfasts, 2 coffees and 2 juices is pretty extortionate for the level of service, even for sunningdale. The quality of the food was pretty average too.

We are regular customers here because the food is always consistently good. It’s great to have somewhere to have lunch where everything is healthy and natural. Nice friendly team as well.

Having looked at some of the previous reviews I realise I’m going to be a bit of a lone voice but can only write as I found my experience. Having never been before I’d arranged to meet a group of friends for lunch and on my arrival I walked in looked around the tables and couldn’t see anyone I was supposed to be meeting! I then thought I’d perhaps got the wrong day so went back outside to check my diary. Yes I had got the right day,and time so I walked back in again looked around the tables again and was a tad surprised that no one from Elianes either acknowledged or questioned me. I then realised that to the back is a slope leading to a further hidden seating area which is where my friends were already seated! As we were a larger group we had previously placed our orders for lunch so it was some surprise after queuing for an age to be served, to be told that they’d run out of the pre ordered vegetable quiche and had to get some more. This took some time to arrive by which time most of our party had started their lunch. When the quiche arrived it looked a bit strange to see about six slices spread out around a too large a plate, it looked like trying to make there seem more than actually was. With the quiche I had two of the three salads available , one being the curly kale which I have to say was fine but the other which I think was rice and quinoa was dry and bland as was the long waited for quiche. To drink I had a mineral water and for a bill of £18 I’m sorry to say that it was not value for money, and finally the service matched, bland and dry, so for me it was just about a full house of disappointment.

Came here by chance as we were at a Jo Downs workshop 2 doors down. The food was gorgeous, beautifully home cooked and creative - lots of veggie options. The atmosphere lovely too. Nothing was too much for the staff - so friendly. Fab coffee too!

I had no expectation, there was no menu outside and it looked like a fancy trendy place which I normally avoid. It is a fancy trendy place but it also served us the most delicious dishes. Fresh, flavoursome fragrant dishes. A bit Ottolenghi-ish. We will be back, next time I want to try the cakes.

Took a detour from our journey to visit, superb gluten, dairy free and vegan options, lovely quality organic food! Would recommend a visit and will definitely return when in the area. Ps:staff were very nice as well

What a gem, will definitely go back! I had the most delicious brunch with a friend - loved the shakshuka and the cake is all unreal. Staff were friendly, everything super clean and tidy and I loved how the tap water is served in lovely ceramic glasses.

We decided to have lunch and we were not disappointed. This was not our first time here and being local had eat before during the day, breakfast and lunch. Good service, warm and friendly Recommend the Pad Thai with chicken, full of flavour and a bit of a kick, I will have this next time - just ticked all the boxes You don’t have to eat to enjoy as many were catching up with friends and having coffees and teas etc

I go here often! The team at Eliane are so very friendly even at their busiest times they'll always take the chance to see how you are. The Juice and Smoothie Selection is incredible and the food is mouthwatering everytime. As a vegan I have plenty of options, but there is lots for Meat eaters too. The hard part is deciding whether to go for the wholesome breakfasts, Fresh delicious Lunches or warming flavoursome Dinner Menu. It's a brilliant place with beautiful decor and a friendly warm atmosphere. The quality of the food and drink is outstanding. If you like Raw Clean eating you have numerous choices and if you love a 'guilt free' treat their Gluten and refined sugar free cake range is to die for!! One of the Best places I've ever eaten. They sell beautiful Crystals and an amazing Recipe Book too!!

I can't recommend this place enough to anyone who loves clean, healthy food. The staff are wonderful, the food delicious and very much payable, We had out wedding meal there and it was just perfect in every way. Thank you to the whole team that made it such a beautiful experience.

This restaurant is just too good to share - but I must as they deserve praise ! It is the most amazing place to eat - the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is beautifully prepared, excellent quality, superb flavours delicately produced in a modern relaxed setting. Our visit was for Sunday brunch/lunch with my son who is at university close by. We all had different food choices and enjoyed immensely. If you care about the food you eat, this should be your only destination - just not when I want a table though ! AMAZING!!! I am vegetarian, I love the food our staters, mains and drinks were out of this world. The natural smoothies were also really good. I love everything, what this restaurant stands for, organic, sustainable and healthy food. The service was really pleasant and helpful too. I went with my son(16) and he loved it to. It is sad that I have lived in Sunningdale for many years and is the first time I’ve been, but it is definitely my nee favourite.

Such a beautiful place - they’ve thought of every detail. The food, smoothies and coffee are fresh and delicious - we’ll definitely be coming here instead of the chain cafes in the area!

We ate lunch yesterday for my daughters birthday and the lovely Karen & Alex made it very special for us. Just love the ethos, you can eat tasty , fresh, creative food whilst looking around at the little shop at the back, the crystals & objects around. I was quite tempted by a block of Himalayan salt or a beautiful carved wooden hand !In the daytime you can choose from the brunch menu or meats & fish with a choice of creative salad on the counter . I think our favourite was the homemade chicken burger with lime & ginger ? and the cakes,,,ohhhhh the cakes,,,such a choice and all so very different,,,even took some away for later. So well done, if your looking for something healthy & inventive ( or gluten free,vegan,veggie, dairy free) or simply a great coffee and cake then this is a great example of it being done well

I Ate here with work friends on 19th August for dinner. Simply gorgeous, you must visit. The food is just so fresh and lovely. You won't go home feeling stodgy, you will leave full and feeling like you've ate amazing food!

Eliane´s food, coffee and cake is of a very high standard which you don´t often get. Not only is it asthetically pleasing but also delicious. Be it lunch, coffee & cake or dinner, this deli has always delivered superior quality food. The service has always been with a smile and attentive. It is conveniently located near the station and supermarket so it is a nice go to place when meeting friends for a quick cupper or something to eat. Unfortunately I have relocated otherwise I would probably be sitting there munching on some delicacy at this moment. Thank you for all the many happy hours I was able to spend there over the past 2 years. You guys rock.

We had fabulous food and cocktails. The stir fry sprouts and the chicken peas fritters with coconut curry sauce were amazing. The spicy crushed potatoes as a side and berry cheese cake for desert were excellent. We also loved their cosmo with fresh juices and dry gin martini. All around a great inexpensive meal. We liked it so much we bought the cook book!

I had a takeaway selection of cold salads for my lunch. They tasted amazing and looked fantastic.If you want a deliciously nutritious meal, to suit many different dietary requirements... oh and a great coffee served with a friendly smile, then I whole-heartedly recommend trying Eliane.

Stopped here after a long bike ride from Reading for a halfway point break and bite to eat. They let us keep our bikes in the garden which was really handy. The food was vegetarian/vegan friendly and really tasty. I had a refresher smoothie as well which was one of the best I've ever had. Definitely stopping here again.

Great food, good service and highly recommend! We had lunch there and the food was very good indeed. Ok not the cheapest but the taste of food was really really good and we will be back.

Come across this place while in the area, very friendly staff and helpful, the atmosphere is very modern but pleasant and relaxing, the food is something else just amazing so many different dishes, only a late brunch but really delicious nothing like you get in most places. Highly recommended don’t miss out go out of your way to find it

I came here to meet with friends who I'd not seen in a while. It made a nice change to the usual. The food tasted very fresh and the cakes were moist and delicious along with good service. I would however say that it's too expensive for what it is. I had a Cacao latte which was over £4. It was small and tasted like a simple hot chocolate, a bit dissapointing.

Finally a place where you can relax, take in the atmosphere and not worry about what nasties are in your food. This folks is how ALL restaurants should be. An eco system of wellbeing based around diet. Oh and the crystals! What a breath of fresh air!! I solute you to bringing in a new era within the area.

Order at the till and the staff bring over your food. Food was very tasty and they have some lovely different dishes to choose from. The overall experience was a bit quick for us as we were friends hoping to have a long lunch to catch up but food arrived almost as we sat down buy it was delicious.

Feeling a little fragile after a prosecco evening with my best friend, this was the perfect place to restore a little balance. Food tasty, wholesome and plentiful, staff friendly and attentive and surroundings calming and tasteful. Wonderful brunch and thank you for looking after me x

We popped in for lunch on a Sunday and left very happy customers having enjoyed the lunch medley and Eliane breakfast. The food was so delicious I've just ordered the Elaine cookbook and we'll most certainly be back to try some of the other dishes, not to mention the mouth watering looking bakes and cakes. My only feedback would be that the menu could benefit from a few child friendly options (as is the case on the Hungerford branch's menu.) That being said, the staff were very accommodating creating something a little smaller for my daughter to enoy.

Lovely Cafe. Taken here for my birthday yesterday and was very impressed by the venue, food and ethos. Well flavoured food, not cheap but fair considering the quality and area. Even bought their fabulous book.

We have just had a really lovely healthy lunch here. The food was very tasty. An excellent choice we will be back again when in the area.

Lots of interesting selections, heavy on the vegetables. Likely spot for those who prefer organic, gluten-free, and so forth. It is my wife's favorite place.

Came in on our break at work, brought 3 coffees (£12!!!! extortionate) the girl phoebe (said on receipt) who served us was lovely.

Just had our third visit to Elaine and I love it. Such flavour in their food. If I told my husband it was great for vegetarians he would not want to go, but they serve food that suits all diets and he loves it too. I have bought their cookbook and have made a couple of things at home. They inspire you to try to recreate some of those interesting salads

First time here for Birthday lunch & it most certainly won’t be the last!!

We often come for breakfast at Eliane, their vegan and vegetarian options are delicious, the coffee is lovely, the cakes (which I buy and take home for later) are super and the staff are always lovely.

To celebrate our Wedding Anniversary we decided to have lunch at Elaine following our excellent Chiropractic treatment from the wonderful Trudii at Libra Chiropractors, Windlesham.

I often come here after the gym to have a healthy lunch. The menu is a feast for the eyes and I like the calm atmosphere. The food is always well-balanced and inventive. Plenty vegan options, yet plenty fish and meat too.

Eliane is an excellent choice for those seeking delicious Asian inspired food, carefully sourced with fresh and healthy ingredients. Service is friendly and efficient, portions just right and prices reasonable - they also provide food to take home. I would recommend a visit for lunch or dinner and will definitely be returning in the future.

We have been meaning to try Eliane for a while - it's a mini Ottolenghi and a fantastic healthy option. The salad selection is delicious; we had pea and mint crush, a sort of lentil dahl, green beans, sweet potato and more. The all day breakfasts are also great; avocado, salmon and poached eggs plus the Eliane breakfast with amazing scrambled eggs. The only thing I'd question is the price of the smoothies, as at £6 each that adds up for a family of four. We will return but will stick to water.

We have eaten at this restaurant regularly and every meal has been of an exceptional standard. The menu is varied, tasty and the portions are generous. We have taken many friends to this restaurant and every one has been impressed with the quality of the food and the many healthy, interesting dishes on offer. There are numerous vegetarian and vegan options, and only the freshest of ingredients are used. The cosy ambience completes a relaxed, intimate dining experience. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Wow, this could even had turned into lunch, the food displayed looked amazing, but due to time constraints we had to make do with Coffee and I had a superb Lemon and Poppy seed cake.

Delicious food, excellent balance of spices and super recipes with all around health and organic in nature. Highly recommend. I will visit again.

Excellent food and service. A common misconception is that this place is a vegan restaurant... and it does have loads of options to cater for that persuasion however there are great meat and fish options too. Food was fragrant and cleverly flavoured by a clearly talented chef. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I’ve no idea why it’s taken me so long to eat here, but I arranged to meet a friend for lunch and we both felt the food was outstanding. We both had quiche and 3 of the different vegetable/salad options, and everything was delicious. The friendly service and decor are also worthy of a mention. In my view there is nothing else like Eliane in the Sunningdale/Ascot area. Fego’s is great, but Eliane is a notch above. I’ve seen some other reviewers comment that it’s on the expensive side - I would say lunch was priced higher end (£13) but I wouldn’t describe it as expensive because of the ingredients and effort that goes into the food. Most pubs will readily charge a similar price for standard fare, and on that basis Eliane is good value.

I visited Eliane for the first time recently for dinner with a friend. The food was delicious and very fresh. I’m vegetarian so the menu was perfect. Service was great & staff very friendly. Very beautiful restaurant inside. Only thing I would say is that I felt certain things were a little over-priced; such as £3.40 for a small bowl of steamed rice, which we assumed would come with the curry anyway. I live in Sunningdale and can’t help but think Eliane would be a lot busier if the prices were maybe slighter less. Nevertheless, I shall be back.

We really enjoyed every aspect of our dinner last evening. Can highly recommend the mozzarella salad with honeyed oranges and avocado, and especially the sabich style aubergine, which were wonderful starters. The trio of chicken dishes is its own mezze platter, with fattoush, tzatziki, and tandoori bread, and the twice-cooked afghani chicken is incredibly flavourful, as are the veggie side dishes. Would suggest Eliane if you want to wake up your taste buds after too many holiday meals, if you're looking for a healthier option for dinner, and/or if you have anyone in your party with dietary requirements or preferences for organic, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes.

Came here with friends a few times over the summer, once for brunch and once for lunch. My friends have a lot of dietary requirements e.g. vegetarian, no dairy, no gluten, so Eliane is a great option for everyone to have a lot of choice to eat.

Really enjoyed my first visit to Eliane. Came here for the first time with my family on a Friday evening. The restaurant is lovely and the food was absolutely stunning. I’m vegan and I loved that there is no hidden dairy in any of their food. I can highly recommend the potato cakes, sabbich style aubergine, lentil moussaka and chilli flatbread. My family aren’t vegan and really enjoyed their food also. The staff were really nice! Only downside was that it was a little quiet for a Friday evening but still we had a wonderful evening at Eliane.

Fresh, locally-sourced, organic ingredients: I wish I'd discovered it years ago. My advice? Forget the main dishes and go for a medley of four salads: they are absolutely amazing; delicious and creative. On my last visit, there was a rocket salad with blackberries, a tropical carrot salad with a whole range of fruit, and a quinoa salad with broccoli, etc: mouthwatering food that I would never have the time or inventiveness to prepare for myself. And the staff are super-friendly; and it's beautifully clean and smells of cinnamon, and there's a wide range of puddings; and it's mostly vegan; and, and, and. Just try it!

Been to Eliane a few times for breakfast lunch and evening meal always fresh beautiful food with a great atmosphere .. this place is by far one of the greats in Berkshire I feel I don't have to go into LONDON to get these amazing dishes fantastic for vegans ,veggies as being vegan it hits the spot ..

I have visited Eliane many times now and I love it! The food at lunchtime is in the style of a buffet and there is always an array of beautiful, creative salads and veggie/vegan dishes to choose from, but also a chicken and fish dish too. Everything is made from the freshest ingredients and I am in awe of how they make each salad taste so different! There is also a great choice of detoxing smoothies and other cold or hot drinks. The dinner menu is also delicious, with something for everyone. In addition, the restaurant is spotless and airy and the service is friendly and smiling, particularly from the lovely Karen. The chef is always happy to come and discuss dishes with you too. Just fantastic and not to be missed!

We enjoyed a lunch medley on a Sunday early afternoon. Relaxed, informal atmosphere, welcoming staff and excellent, healthy food. You can have a large plate of meat plus 3 veggie dishes or 4 veggie choices displayed for £13-14, all of which were gluten free on this occasion. There are also breakfast/brunch freshly cooked options. The cauliflower dish, beetroot salad, fennel rice and spiralised noodle with pesto and walnut were all excellent, followed by a selection of cakes with gluten free options (the chai spiced pumpkin bundt was tasty but dry) washed down with good coffee, spiced teas or organic lemonades. Our 13 year old cleared his plate rapidly. Parking is available on the road outside. Overall an excellent meal and we’d love to return.

Lovely little upmarket cafe. Great service and nice atmosphere. I understand this is a healthy/vegan cafe but more variety on the menu would encourage me to go more often i.e sandwiches, more variety of cakes etc.

Visited for brunch with my boyfriend and was greeted with the most friendly customer service. We both had the vegan breakfast which was amazing! We love how passionate Eliane’s are about educating their customers by having information cards on all tables. It was a real unique and lovely experience and we can’t wait to return! You can tell how much love goes into their food and everything they produce!

Stopped for a coffee..service was very good...but the coffee and toast we ordered was mediocre and expensive

As a vegan, I was so impressed by the selection on offer! Me and my mum went for breakfast today and not only did it look amazing, it tasted incredible!

What a refreshing change! Very difficult to find tasty, healthy vegan and vegetarian food in this area so Elian was quite a find. This sort of food is available all over the world but rarely in the UK so it was a very special evening. So good we bought the book. It would great if more restaurants were offering a greater selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The food was fresh and delicious. We tried a variety of dishes and were not disappointed. Try it!

Elaine is a bit of a hidden gem in Sunningdale (opposite Waitrose). We popped in for lunch and had excellent smoothies and truly brilliant home-made salads. It is not cheap but there is nothing cheap about this restaurant cafe as you can see that they have spent a fortune on doing it up and are making a huge and successful effort to be above-average across the board.

Stopped here on way home from the airport one evening. What a great find and destined to become a firm favourite! Loved the fresh food and different, interesting tastes. We went for dinner but the breakfast and lunch menus look just as interesting. Clean fresh food, much of it vegan.

The food here is so special, healthy and delicious. You’ll never taste anything like it. The service is superb and friendly. I’d eat here everyday if I could and my body would thank me for the health benefits. Thank you Eliane for such wonderful and consistent scrumptiousness!

Such a super menu and ambience. We have visited for breakfast lunch and dinner-food excellent and so fresh. The evening meal was just fabulous accompanied by a perfect organic Riesling. We can’t wait to return. Such lovely cakes too!

Whilst this is an oasis of calm and happiness in terms or space and decor, it's the staff who really make this place come to life. I don't think I've ever seen such a lovely team. The food is generally very very good with some blips when less experienced staff are on in the kitchen. I love the elixir smoothie. The coffee is the best I've had in this while area by far.

My friend invited me to lunch to this amazing place. The food was really good quality and tasted fabulous, let alone the cake and fantastic tea (Jasmine Lilly). I would certainly go back and try other dishes out everything just tasted so fresh.

My wife and I have been to Elaine's a few times now. We arrived with our usual expectations it is always lovely by the way when we went inside, I ordered the dhal with three other sides and all I can say is it was the best dhal I have ever tasted. the two ladies behind the counter, although unassuming, the service was phenomenal we even bought the cookbook, we now have some great ideas for our pub menu.

As stated above We had booked for dinner but were fooded out but still went there for coffee. The Restaurant was very presentable and modern the coffee was great it would appear that one could have a pleasant time there

Wow! What a fantastic meal. Absolutely delicious and one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Every dish and side dish was amazing. Could not recommend enough.

Disappointing. We like to support local businesses, and this looked to be a fresh and healthy concept. However, £30 for 2 salads and a couple of smoothies is just ridiculous, even for Sunningdale. Sorry. The service is also famously slow, for a cafe where people want to pop in and pick up a smoothie to go.

Myself and a friend visited this evening for my birthday, we had only ever been at lunchtime before (which we love!)

Eliane’s is the nicest of eateries. The staff are always lovely, and Karen and Sarah are particularly brilliant! I have eaten here a number of times and the food is amazing. Fresh, organic, seasonal and delicious. The coffee is addictive, and if you want something a little more unusual, they serve a mean matcha latte or a beetroot latte with hazelnut milk. A must visit, you will leave happy.

I have visited here on many occasions as the food is exactly the sort of thing I would make at home but without the prep! If you want some healthy, clean food with attention to limited diets this is your place, lots of options on gluten free, organic & vegetarian.

One of my favorite restaurants, and I eat out a lot around the area - and around the world. Fabulous, and creative healthy/organic food, lovely atmosphere (casual and inviting) and friendly staff. Great interesting meal options, cakes, fresh juices, coffees - even their breakfasts are a “wow”. Can endorse all the other five star reviews - super!

We had the most amazing lunch - the food is so fresh and incredibly tasty and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgable about all the dishes served. One of the staff, Karen, was really lovely. I highly recommend eating here.

We had experienced the first Eliane Cafe in Hungerford and were so impressed we bought their cook book. So we were delighted when the second establishment came to Sunningdale ... a tad nearer for us to get to from Fleet in Hampshire. The quality and taste of all the dishes comes second to none. Salads like you have never known before ... even if you are not vegan/vegetarian you have to try as the ingredients combined with subtle flavours and spicing are fantastic. Chicken and fish dishes are also available. As for the healthy cakes well you would never guess that they are made without flour/sugar etc. Beetroot and chocolate cake? Go on I dare you as you will not be disappointed. Not just a cafe but a restaurant that excels. Great ambiance, super service and you will come away with a smile. PLEASE can Eliane publish another cook book? We will definitely be back soon :)

I went there with my eldest, youngest daughter and son who is vegan and two grandsons. We had a lovely meal and the service was very good.

I don’t understand why this restaurant is always so quiet for dinner because the food, service, ambiance is of such high quality. Especially the food - their prawns, Dahl and Kofta are another level. It’s just a shame it’s always empty!! Please don’t overlook this restaurant for dinner

Yes the heading is a bit corny but it is true! We have just returned from a looooooonnnngggg girls lunch at this amazing place. We went there because another friend had waxed lyrically about the food.There are so many superlatives that I really can't recount them all. The food is stunning and delicious and the coffee is too, so is the tea, so are the cakes.............the staff are delightful and so welcoming. In all we spent over 4 hours catching up and our only regret is that we couldn't stay for dinner too. We will be back, we will recommend this wonderful place to our friends. Thank you SO much.

Today I persuaded my husband to come for lunch at Elaine,s in Sunningdale, he is not usually adventurous and most certainly isn’t a vegan or vegetarian, he opted for chicken cooked in a gorgeous blend of spices, accompanied with stunning Bombay potatoes and chickpeas cooked in harissa, I was really struggling to choose just 4 items, my choice consisted of aubergines with a minted yogurt topping, again the chickpeas, the best tasting mixed rice dish and a kale , courgette and pomegranate salad, the colllision of tastes in my mouth was simply Devine, I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough, delightful atmosphere , warm friendly staff. I can’t wait to introduce my friends to it.

Just wanted a coffee - warm welcome, fabulous food and great coffee (amazingly clean toilets came as no surprise!) highly recommend
