Nice cafe, food very good. The only problem is it costs more than we usually pay in other cafes cross over the road to the other cafe opposite and its 3pound cheaper

Hidden Gem! This bakery/Cafe is wonderful. The food they cook on the premises is so moorish! My hubby loves the pasties, and then there are the cakes....You can also eat in there and the atmosphere is chatty & friendly!

A big thank you to Katie , who made my Mum’s birthday extra special on Sunday. Katie has this amazing and very amusing way of remembering what her customers had the last time they visited her Cafe,she should be on Master Mind😂 We felt very welcome and being a bigger party our orders all came out at the same time and were delicious!

Best Breakfast I had in years. Been living in Eastbourne for over a Year and keep on walking past the restaurant it usally quite busy, until today I found a spot to dine in. Lovey staff who greeted me nicely, I had the early bird breakfast which was so delicious ate that quickly which is rare cuz im s slow eater, had a delicious mocha which I have no idea what they put in it but it was sweet and creamy which I like in a coffee and a Really Big Chocolate Pastery which I took home and was a nice way to end a nice Breaskfast/Brunch. Kinda mad at myself for going in early throughout last year kinda missed out on the delicious food but better late than never. Glad I went and hoping when ever I have some free time and might happily go again.

Fantastic 'bakery and cafe' - they do full-on cooked meals too! Very friendly and helpful staff, competitive prices, great outdoor seating area (safe for kids - fenced in). Comfortable and attractive interior. Always made to feel like a valued customer with genuine friendly service. Dog friendly :) Highly recommended!

Really nice lunch today and friendly service. The children enjoyed their meals and have asked to go back. We had to get cakes from the bakery to take away as we were full but the puddings looked good too.

Schönes kleines Café mit reichhaltigem Angebot. Gemütlich eingerichtet. Es gibt alles vom Frühstück über Mittagessen bis hin zu Kaffee und Kuchen. Unser Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Das Personal war jederzeit freundlich.

Nice traditional cafe. No frills, good solid breakfast, with tea in a builders mug. Nice friendly staff, in a nice location with garden with a partial sea view.

We always have breakfast here before a day on the beach. We usually sit outside but it’s nice inside too and dogs are welcome. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The food is well cooked and hot and they don’t mind if you ask to swap things on the breakfast. Great breakfast at a reasonable price, perfect!

Came across the Ocean View Bakery when looking for somewhere for a snack. The interior was bright and clean, extensive menu; to cater from a light snack to a main meal. We chose baked beans on toast and a tea. Not the most challenging dish but have to say it was delicious and a very generous serving. The staff were pleasant and attentive and we felt very welcome. We were only visiting the area, but would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

Feels like stepping into a village 30 years ago. Gorgeous cafe with amazing cakes. We shared the huge bath bun. The ladies were friendly and chatty with all the customers. Can walk about the back straight to the beach.

Love this place. Outstanding breakfasts, try the Big Bundy it's awesome. The staff are lovely really friendly. Close to the beach easy to park to. Definitely recommend it. Oh also, take a look at the cakes 🤪

Awful food definitely looks better than it tastes. Even the seagulls turned their nose up at the quiche!!! Food and service bland. Ladies toilet in the garden needs attention; tiles are missing and it's dirty. t The garden is a mess .

Had breakfast here 3 days in a row whilst on holiday with family including young children staff were very friendly and good with the kids, food is very good even our little doggy enjoyed the sausages. Would recommend.

I have been to this place 5 times and every time it has completely disappointed me. I've had coffees in various places in Eastbourne, but Ocean view was the worst. A little cleaning wouldn't hurt. 3 stars only for pastry products

We were at West ham crossroads and tossed a coin to decide upon walking to chilli farm or pevensey bay, we chose pevensey bay cafe for old times sake as we used to go there around 8 years ago. Received a friendly welcome and ordered the early bird breakfast. Food came out and at first glance did not look appetizing, as we ate it just got worse, dried hard leathery bacon, toast buttered for me with a cheap substitute and bread tasted stale, would have preferred a choice and decent butter, strange bland cereal based sausage, unpleasant tomato, eggs had good yolks but rubbery whites and dark Brown underside, fried bread was forgotten and when eventually came was cheap packet bread and dripping in horrible tasting oil. We were clearly not enjoying the food and it was like the elephant in the room as a whole plate of food was pushed to the side and was regularly glanced at by staff however no-one came to our table to check we were ok and if there was an issue. So it was left for my partner upon paying to say he wasn't happy with the meal and did not want to pay for 1 of the breakfasts, the owner was very friendly and disappointed that we didn't enjoy it, so she did not charge us for both breakfasts and apologized. We love a full English and often have them including in Wetherspoons which is generally an excellent breakfast, I would recommend the cooks visit other venues to experience how they are doing it. Generally place needs updating and the ladies toilet was shocking ! Next time we will be trying chilli farm!!

A Great place found whilst out for a drive with family, very clean and well organised, service was good and the pricing acceptable, all covid advice was well adhered too.visited again today, the lunch was piping hot, just what was needed on a bitterly winters day.

Really love this place. Don't expect a modern, chain like place. It's a little rough around the edges but we thought it was charming. Very much a traditional seaside cafe & bakery, with loads of character! A fantastic selection of food (with a pudding cabinet, which i was very happy to see!), and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

Super place for lunch and justifiably very popular, with a menu to suit everyone, all food very reasonably priced. It’s warm and cosy and comforting. Staff are warm, friendly and efficient. It’s a real neighbourhood gem.

We have been visiting Ocean View for our breakfast every morning, during our regular trips to visit elderly parents locally. We just love it! The breakfasts are delicious and everything is served with a smile. The staff are all simply fabulous - they know everyone and the atmosphere could not be more friendly. It's very popular, for good reason and welcomes dogs too. Plus the beach right out the back. What's not to like?!

Perfect Sunday morning breakfast out. We were prompt which is advisable as a popular place. We had the 'Early Bird' breakfast which was delicious, freshly cooked and came out quickly. It came with a hot drink and for £8.75 excellent value. Great service. Parking available either roadside or carpark at the rear.

Fantastic place. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff when we arrived with our two elderly little dogs in their buggy. They rearranged some of the chairs to accommodate the buggy. The food was great. It was very busy Sunday lunchtime in early sept, but you can book a table. Suggest you do that. By 12 noon the place was packed and was running out of room in the garden. The Sunday roasts looked great.

Really nice little bakery and café, perfect stop off for a full english breakfast and a cup of tea, lovely staff, nice atmosphere. Big range of traditional cakes and desserts, apple crumble, apple pie, chocolate gateau. Absolutely recommend!

Disappointed visit today. Went into this cafe and waited about 5 minutes at the counter for someone to serve us. About 5 colleagues walked past and not one acknowledgement from anyone. My husband asked one young girl if he could order and she said in a minute. No customer service here at all. All staff look completely miserable, no enthusiasm to serve or at least look happy. We sat outside as it was a lovely day, but the tables and chairs are really shabby and need a good clean and really need replacing as they are so old and worn. The cakes we had were very nice but spoilt by the older man who had been washing up who promptly sat down outside and had a cigarette break just as we were eating so hence a smoky atmosphere! So much could be done to improve on this little cafe with a bit of love and care as it seemed very popular.

We arrived at 1pm and unfortunately a lot was sold out but still lovely non the less. Great pricing. Just beware garden isn't disabled friendly x

I had scrambled eggs on toast but the toast was awful not sure it had seen a toaster The garden is very scruffy with litter and weeds and scruffy furniture. Such a shame as in ideal position. Cakes and pastries are excellent

Popped here for a cake to go with our cuppa on the go! Spoilt foe choice....opted for a large choc chip cookie, a Bath bun and a lemon drizzle cake for another day. Lovely cakes and biscuit and went well with the cuppa!

Absolutely love this place, we have been going every year for the past 4 years. Food is amazing, prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly can not fault them one bit, would 100% recommend this place for a meal or even a cup of tea and a cake. Keep up the great work guys!!!!!!!!!
