Although this restaurant/cafe is listed as Noodle, it might also be called Saro’s it also has reviews describing it as Chinese, but it is most certainly Thai. - maybe it changed hands but I went in September 2023 and I don’t care what it was called, I call it delicious, we were a party of 3, and the youngest ordered a plain chicken noodle soup, oh my it was so yummy, i had the crispy belly pork on rice and the sweet BBQ sauce it was drizzled with was to fantastic, leaving the pork still perfectly crisp, my friend had a prawn curry ( it might of been called red curry with coconut ) and it was the most fragrant tastiest curry I have ever tried, none of the dishes needed condiments, and I usually a bit hitter on the soy. In my opinion, tables could of been cleared quicker, when customers left, they weren’t cleared so other customers could immediately use them, but overall the place was clean, staff were polite, this is only a cafe not a restaurant so no need to dress up, and it was only small (possibly 30 covers max) I would imagine the place gets pretty packed with students as it’s very close to student halls, but there is a small area you can wait, till a table is available. The dishes are very inexpensive, you can eat for £15 a head this will cover the cost of a cold drink. I can’t wait to try more dishes

Exceptionoodle, had the build your own noodles with tofu veg and sweet chilli. Delicious! Lovely atmosphere inside but I had a takeaway

Absolutely love this place. It's now called saros. Only a small seating area but the food is AMAZING and the staff are so friendly. Food is freshly made, Nice a hot, tasty and excellent portion sizes.

Curry beef is ok but bit too sweet. Shrimp in fried rice has no taste. Duck pancake is ok.

The staff are welcoming, there's spacious seating if you dine in & seating also if you are just there to collect your order to take away. Their Chicken Pad Mee is delicious, & their Duck Spring Rolls are exquisite, highly recommended. 😁

Most authentic Thai food have tasted in the uk. If you like real Thai food like grandma make then would recommend Thai noodles portsmouth. Good sized portions well presented yummy food.excellent 5 star.

Really tasty food, meat cooked nicely soft, fresh vegetables,large portions, food arriving quickly. Just beware spicy is really hot! Very decent for eating in, clean, music just fine to carry a conversation. Good service too.

Fresh, Juicy & Super Tasty Noodles

Really good place to eat. Excellent Thai street food. Good vegan options. Had the Tofu Pad Thai without egg. Super super good !!!!!!!!

May not have the fanciest wine to serve you but my gosh, it’s been a while I tasted a food that made me smile. That crispy fried grilled pork, no words. The crunch and the side dip with chilli fish sauce was the immense pleasure for my mouth. What I like about the place itself is something like you and I would cook at home and eat, where the true home food experience with authenticity comes in.

Very disappointing overall. Myself and my partner ordered the Massaman curry, and the portion sizes are not very generous, and the beef was horrendous, it was basically kebab meat in what was in actual fact a very nice sauce so it was such a shame that the beef was of such low quality and the amount of such small quantity

I had a mix up with my order and the chef hand delivered the replacement! On her bike no less! Amazing! Plus the food was absolutely beautiful; the gyozas were the best I've ever had, crunchy texture and really tasty sauce. The Thai green curry is also MUCH better than others I've ordered in the area and a large portion. Thank you so much for helping with my order!!

Brought 2 meals from there last night. Never would use this place again. Barbecues chicken was white with a tub of garlic sauce 2 sweet n sour noodles had the sweet n sour sauce poured over the top n was floating.all was put in dustbin. Never would I use or recommend this place.

Not great. Visited noodels after lockdown lifted. The place was empty so I had the choice of tables. I waited about 20 mins for someone to take my order. After that I went to the desk to give an order but was told to sit back down. Eventually someone took my order. The staff seemed very busy but I couldn’t see why as there was no other customers there. When the food arrived it was a bit greasy for my liking. I found the food quite pricey too for what it was. I went to the counter to pay as it seemed they had forgotten about me. Went to pay by card but was asked if I could pay by cash. The whole situation just didn’t feel very nice, and it wasn’t worth the money. Maybe it’s just the lockdown and struggling to get back in rhythm but I wouldn’t go back.

Since being recommended Noodels by a friend I have ordered takeout 3 times from here! The taste feels authentic and the Kra Pao actually has a good spicy kick. My pad thai was also really tasty with big sized prawns. When I have ordered online the delivery time has been good. I’d recommend Noodels and I’m sure I will be placing another order soon.

We've had numerous takeaways from here, each delicious and large portions! We had some trouble with Uber Eats when ordering and Noodels were very gracious, efficient and helpful sorting it out. Now I always order direct and collect, the staff are so pleasant and food is always available quickly

Such are the times currently that I'm having to review a restaurant from the comfort of my own home, not so bad but it's definitely missing the atmosphere. My food arrived well packed and still hot, a great first impression. Secondly, there was a lot of it - portion size is impressive. I opted for the chicken with chilli and basil, beef massaman and steamed rice. The chicken dish was very tasty and had a real good kick from the chilli, more so than other places I've tried this dish. The beef dish was also full of flavour, I ate it after the chicken so the spiciness is unconfirmed. The beef was tender and had some really nice chunky pieces as well as wafer thin slices. This was my first time ordering from here and from what I've sampled I will be looking to eat in at my earliest opportunity.

Big portion and authentic flavours, very tasty.

I booked through uber eats and then decided to write a review because I loved it! I had pad Thai, massaman curry, dumplings and bubble tea. The food containers were super cute, with little "thank you" stickers on them. Everything was super tasty and the delivery quick! Just one side note. I found something weird in the curry... They looked like bones (I hope not because I am vegetarian), but for the rest is great. I will try it again, but not the curry ahah

Wow what's a delicious authentic Thai street food I ever get in UK. A very generous portion, reasonable price and really tasty. We are on holiday and found this place in a lovely cosy atmosphere. Will definitely be back again. Food and service is excellent.

I am not sure how one is supposed to determine what is and what is not authentic. But for me it is the condiment sets you find at Noodels that make it Uniquely Thai. The fact that the Beef noodle soup is as tasty as you will get in the UK, yet it is not totally authentic. The fact that the pork skewers are a little different to what I remember. These are the differences and inconsistencies that make this restaurant a little bit special.

the best pad thai I've had for years and the quality was brilliant. we are talking a student level noodle bar but with exceptional good level of quality food. for starter the pork skewers and chicken wings were excellent the main was amazing and with drinks it was great value. the lad serving has the memory of a goldfish but otherwise it was great

Really enjoyed the food and the service, friendly and lots of genuine smiles. I had chicken noodle soup which is served with a choice of 3 types of noodles and fresh chicken, very tasty and a large helping. My wife had phad tai noodles with chicken. Spicy and again really nice. Reasonable prices for what you get. We will return when we come back from Spain.

It run by Thai owner now and add more Thai dish. We ordered noodle with pork Nam Tok soup and Somtum. The taste was same as I ate in Thailand. I really recommend if you would like to try the real Thai food with the reasonable price near the commercial road. I absolutely go back again to try other menu.

Didn't even get to eat from here. The delivery driver to Taha seems to be the guy who is running everyone who works here. He "attempted" to deliver my order by "calling me" when he was outside. The truth is my phone was charging in another room and I didn't hear it. But you would expect someone who's delivering something to your home to ring the doorbell right? Well clearly not this guy, after just 5mins I noticed the missed calls and attempted to call back but no answer. The shop told me he returned due to no one answering. So they sent him back. This time I answered but questioned why he didn't ring the bell first time, to which he replied "do I want the food or not" so I told him I'm coming down, came down and no-one was there. Called the shop, the most useless staff told me the driver refused to give my food to me. ABSOLUTE JOKE! HES THE BLOODY DELIVERY MAN THATZ LITERALLY HIS JOB WHICH HE CANT EVEN DO PROPERLY

Perfect Noodles. Great decor. Sweet sauce. I really enjoyed my meal. Could do with a larger drink selection.

It was filthy everywhere,tables sticky and cooking surfaces dirty..stepped in,spent 1min looking around and left with my son..needs a deep clean and improve hygiene.

Food is fantastic and the staff are friendly but when we went in, the tables were so sticky that the napkins became apart of it.

Use to eat from here loads and i loved thier food. It's been a few months and i thought i'd treat myself. Was so excieted and ended up so dissapointed. There was more sauce on my container than in and it seemed like the sauce was just dumped in the top. First few bits had loads of flavour but after than it was all so bland. The veg was undercooked and the beef was like chewing on cardboard. My spring rolls were burnt and soggy at the same time, i mean how?! but they were. I'm so upset that the standards have gone so down hill.

Satay sauce was watered down so like piss. Tried to call to complain but no answer. Everything else was just adequate but nothing special. Disappointed.

Nice stop off from the pub. Had veggie noodles which were cooked well and very tasty. Cost just over £5 which was well worth it! Would definitely pop in again!

Good to find this in the centre near Portsmouth and Southsea station, 2 mins walk. Chinese fast food to eat in or go, freshly prepared. Friendly service- sort of choose your own items from 4 sections of the menu and then the chef prepares it, usual chicken, prawns etc and then a good selection of veg, topped off with a sauce. Served in a US style carton / box. Slightly too much sauce for my liking, but no big deal. Side orders of prawn crackers and spring rolls, other items too. Soft drinks. Nice for a quick bite, but not a relaxing Chinese restaurant of course.

Lovely food freshly made in front of you, but a bit pricey. Impossible to get in if in a wheelchair or on own with pushchair staff don't even offer help to get upstairs with a pushchair.

Ridiculous. Ordered a soup base udon but turns out to be a soya sauce based noodle. Ordered spring roll but overcooked just as shown from the photo. Rubbish! Totally not recommended.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon. Food is overpriced for a build your own noodle dish. Food itself was average, no different to the noodles you can buy in most shopping centre food courts. Staff, unfriendly, the girl on the counter acted as though she didn't want to be there....despite being the only people in the place, there was no acknowledgement when we arrived or when we left.

Singapour stlye is very spicy. The food is really nice though and good quality.

Decent food but quite overpriced. For a normal meal you pay around £10 and you get it in a cheap takeaway box and with plastic cutlery. The noodles I had were a bit hard and drenched in soy sauce and for the 75p i paid i only got 2 small pieces of broccoli, not to mention that half of the dish was just large chunks of onion. For other takeaway places you can get a similar dish but for around £5. However, the bubble tea is actually quite good. I would recommend this place more for the drinks than for the food.

I ordered a bubble tea and was not impressed at what I was given. The drink itself was powdery no matter how much I shook it, and the tapioca pearls weren't cooked properly. As soon as you bite down it tastes stale and has the texture of sand. Won't be ordering from here again.

First time experience of Noodles. Omg the food is delicious, the drinks exceptional and of course the food comes in environmentally friendly boxes. What's not to love?

Had beef with black bean here and got sick after, with severe stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea. Very disappointed. The music was obnoxious to boot.

Oh my god, I stopped in here a little drunk looking for a kebab!! After stumbling through their menu I ended up with the best beef chow mein I have had in a long time. I'm now half way home and seriously debating weather to walk home or back to get another!!

Wait time is absolutely horrendous and today the order that came was wrong from the Fratton branch. So when we called to ask them to bring the missing stuff they told us we had to apply for a refund through deliveroo and they couldn't drop it to us but if we apply for a refund they're happy to cook it again and send it out with the next delivery at another cost of delivery???? Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time which is sad because the food it tasty.

Absolutely worst place I have ordered from, had an order delivered 2 months ago, cold as anything after 2 hours ( delivery driver problems apparently) chucked it in the bin, no refund or replacement order from them, manager was never in to speak to after 3 calls on latter days and only he could deal with it, after 5 calls that night agreeing a refund) Same problem tonight after giving them a second chance, this time a cancelled order after waiting an hour, bad customer service and management, wish another noodle place would open in Portsmouth so we had a second choice. Avoid!!

I ordered over £50 worth of food, only for it to be delivered late by over an hour, and all of the food was WRONG. I have a severe peanut allergy, and they mixed up my order and gave me satay sauce(Peanut sauce), and completely ruined my friends orders as well. When I I complained I was met with an automated response, and revived no compensation, quite frankly this place is terrible, the food wasn’t worth the wait as the orders that we did receive was shockingly bad , as it was both cold and wrong. DO NOT GO HERE.

I ordered a take away from deliveroo yesterday. Delivery arrived on time. Package was great, kept food hot and didn't leak. Food itself was far too salty. I love salt but neither myself or my partner could eat/enjoy our meal due to the overpowering salt. I ordered udon noodles with pork/broccoli/pak choi/mushrooms and satay, my partner had Singapore noodles/chicken/pak choi/broccoli and teriyaki sauce. It's a shame as I like the idea that we can pick the ingredients that goes in our meal.

Love the food here, usually get take away. When it's good it's really good but a bit hit and miss for accuracy. Second order I've had from here where they have missed the shrimp out of my main.

Wow! Needed an inexpensive food delivery and was recommended these! What can I say it turned up hot and extremely tasty. It was even quicker that the estimated time of arrival! Will definitely recommend and use again!

If I could leave an 11/10 for this place I would, Cannot fault this place, their noodle choice is varied and all mouthwateringly delicious. They have so much bubble tea with tapioca pearls, jelly or popping pearls in any flavour you wish.

I order from here using justeat all the time, i have also been in the restaurant a few time as well. One man army bashing out noodles like there's no tomorrow. Always tasty and cooked perfectly. The choice of adding what you want is great. Although i think they should rework some of those prices as 60p seems a lot for a few slices of pepper. Saying that it won't stop me ordering.

Awful, takes 2 hours minimum for the food to come 80% of time the order is wrong, they never have any of the things you want, awful service. Go somewhere else I’ve given up with them.

The food was great. It took a while for them to make it the first I was there and they put onions in when I ask them not too. My boyfriend's order was fine though. The second time was much quicker and no onions. It is really great food for a good price with a lot of options so you can get what you want.

It's very tasty, but a bit salty for my liking

Have been a numerous times. First visit was good and the quality of the food was superb but sadly the quality of the food and service has decreased to an effortless standard. Where our food has been undercooked and our orders forgotten. whilst other customers have come and gone with in the time of waiting for the food.

Recommended by friends, I finally tried. Not done much travelling in far east but choices were easy, staff very helpful and the food delicious. Not sure about the bubble teas, will try them next time. I would call this healthy street food. I had edon noodles, with Blackbean, chicken, broccoli and cashews which was sublime

Extremely slow. We ate in and our food wasn't served for a full hour after we'd ordered. I've had identical food at motorway services that was similar quality, if not better, and that was served in under 10 minutes. When I ordered there was no warning of the wait times. The cashier was gormless and did not help or explain the menu, or later apologise for the delay. The menu actually makes out it's a picking line (like subway) but with an hour wait for your food that's clearly not what it is.

Amazing Food ! And such nice staff, so friendly and helpful. Love this place and its my new favourite place to go !
