Great café for breakfast or lunch. Food was freshly cooked. Bread is fresh crusty for sandwiches, big mugs of tea or coffee. Absolutely fab, everything we had was delicious.

Very good coffee - we like ours hot and strong and that’s what we got. Seems a basic ask but lots of cafes fail on this request. Good selection of cakes plus a breakfast menu. I had a cheese and ham toastie - freshly sliced bread doorstops with a generous filling. Other diners seemed equally happy so thank you and well done!

Came here on bank holiday when very little else was open. It will be a first choice to visit from now on. Very friendly, good choice of breakfast, and it was delicious. Cute cafe too. Thank you

A nice little cafe, the rating is as far as cafes go and not compared with Michelin starred restaurants. Limited selection of snacks but with a range of hot drinks. The toasty and sandwich were freshly made and the slices were thick with generous fillings. Thoughtfully, a steak knife was provided to cut the sandwich in to mouth manageable pieces.

Well - it was the perfect place for a quick lunch break to have a cup of freshly brewed tea and a prepared sandwich. Due to Brexit, there was a shortage of ham, so the selection was limited. But it was easy to find a yummy alternative.

Absolutely lovely little cafe, it was a nice little hub in old Portsmouth lovely for families, couples or even just a solo trip. They offer takeaway coffee also. The breakfast is great and they were really super about making little changes for us with no problems at all e.g. putting my butter on the side for me as I’m dieting. The lady that served us was so lovely and the atmosphere was great so much so that we went back two mornings in a row on our holiday. Would absolutely hurry back when in the area again!

We came to Nell’s for breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely choice, great service and not overly expensive. Food cooked to order and plenty of choice for non meat eaters / vegetarians. Happy to recommend.

Good value and good quality breakfast. The service was efficient and friendly. It is clearly popular with the locals.

Extremley good value. Many men u items from.toast all the way up to full english all under 10 pounds. Breakfast sandwich was 5 pounds and was huge like a full.meal.! Great service hot food and lots of it. Thoroughly recomwnd it. The cafe is opposite Portsmoith Cathedral in Olde Portsmouth.

Have visited Nell's a few times. Wonderful food - breakfast and lunch - and very efficient and friendly service. Will be going there again.

Excellent service and lovely food. Bright and clean and lovely atmosphere. We went twice for a vegetarian breakfast.

Situated opposite the cathedral a standard café with indoor seating and some outdoor seating on the pavement. Serving traditional English breakfast, cakes , drinks, smoothies and veggie options sandwiches, toasties and Baguettes. Other delights. Pleasant efficient service and reasonable prices.
