We spent £80/£90 today .Food quality is not good ,service is totally poor and unprofessional staff .

Went during Ramadan, really busy but the food did not disappoint. Quality and authentic Pakistani food! Mix grill and dry meat with the keema naan elite combo. Service was excellent despite how busy it was. Can’t forget the mango lassi. 10/10. Didn't understand why a very few customers were impatient like at Iftar time everyone wants their food I understand but be patient the chefs are human not robots to get the food ready all at once. An extra 10 minutes does not harm. They want the food within a minute then complain it wasn’t properly cooked 🤦‍♂️ Highly recommend!

Our esteemed culinary team appears to be experiencing difficulties in accurately interpreting customer orders, resulting in multiple errors within a single order. Specifically, the children's nugget meal was mistakenly prepared with an undesirable spicy flavouring. To rectify this situation, we had to request a complete remake of the order. It would be greatly appreciated if your establishment could implement a system where customers are explicitly asked whether they would like chilli powder on their nuggets and fries during the order-taking process, rather than assuming its inclusion. Additionally, we noticed that the sauce nozzles on the tables were in an unhygienic condition, with visible dirt and grime inside the nozzle outlets. Furthermore, the tables themselves were observed to be sticky and had remnants of food and gum stuck underneath them. Kindly ensure that these issues are promptly addressed to maintain a clean and hygienic dining environment for your valued customers.

Food was good. Ordered half chicken karahi with chips, naan and orange juice. 🍗 Chicken was moist and well spiced (not too strong). 🫓 The tandoori naan was a bit charred, typical of establishments, however, could've represented the upmarket image of the establishment by making it not burnt in places. Chips was good, however, a few had oil perforated and soaked into them. 🍊 🧃 Drink seemed familiar, most likely cartoned rather than freshly squeezed orange juice which I expected for it to warrant that price I paid. Service was outstanding by Hussain and Barjesh.

Service and quality of food has gone down! It wasn’t busy when we visited yet no one showed us to a table so helped ourselves to one. Then we sat there and no one came to take our order - they just kept walking past us talking to each other. Food arrived and the grill and curries all had too much corriander sprinkled over it! It affects the taste. I think it’s had a change in ownership/management - it shows!

Very accommodating given it was Ramadan, opened our fasts and went to ELM. On return we had 3 mixed grills, one butter chicken, one lamb ghost, one lamb karahi. The highlight was the quality of naans and roti, which sadly isn’t rocket science, soft and drenched in Ghee, the keema naan, Peshawari Naan, Aloo naan, Garlic naan and roti were absolutely lush! Lamb ghost was succulent and soft. The mixed grills felt dry, over cooked with old meat, covered in oil and sauces that were far too spicy. Chicken smelt old too. Butter chicken tasted bland and like it was mass produced with tomato ketchup. The lamb karahi was far too oily. Sadly, I wouldn’t come again. Highlight was a waiter who looked like Akshay Kumar. Did take card payment and split the bill . Avoid.

Wow… food was terrible. Mixed grill was extortionate £20 for a few piece of chicken tikka lamb chops and 2 kebabs… lamb karahi was swimming in oil and butter chicken was like tomato ketchup … AVOID

Been wanting to try here for ages after getting a recommendation so was really surprised at how poor it was. Everything was just bland.

Ok so I’ve been ordering from the apps from here for a while now. The only reason why I keep going back is because the flavour of the lamb chops is simply excellent. Key point, the flavour! However they use cheap cuts of meat 99% of the time you will get broken bones on the lamb chops. Look, I live in central London, it’s very difficult to order to order authentic Pakistani food around here, this place for me is the closest that will deliver on the apps. I’ve ordered various dishes from here and they are just ok, nothing to write home to mum about. Now where my real issue is, is the naan bread, what on earth are the chef’s doing? It’s like they are trying to bake a cake in the tandoor oven. It’s so thick and doughy the middle is cooked but the outside is like dough of a cake….. it’s like they can not be bothered to roll it out any further. The kitchen does need a boot up the backside and for someone to maintain standards because they do some things so well but the basics like naan bread it’s just a massive fail

Fantastic Indian food without the wait and claustrophobic atmosphere of its arch rivals, Tayyabs. Also much friendlier and welcoming. Communication is good when booking ahead via email. 5 stars. Recommended.

Celebrated my wife’s Birthday here and the food was outstanding. Waiter Bhartesh was excellent and very helpful from the get go. Could not recommend this place enough if you want authentic Pakistani food. 5*

Zero Star if that was an option - Went for dinner based on a recommendation. - Plates were worn out and not clean. - Waiter lacked customer service training. - The food we ordered was undercooked. - The curry and tadka daal we ordered were swimming in sauce. - The dishes had no taste. - The washroom was dirty and not clean. - Reported the issues to the Food Standards Agency.

My Lamb tika biriyani was mix with lamb curry and heated in the microwave. But biriyani meant to be fried. And instead of lamb tikka it was just normal meat. Mix grill was heated in the microwave. Nan size was like a normal burger bun. Orange juice was served from local asda value pack. Everything over priced and it's not even worth it. Never ever will go back !!

One of my regular places to go for dry lamb meat curry etc. Usually great food however I have noticed a downward trend in food quality. Ordered lamb chopd which had to be sent back as they were way overcooked. Dry meat was burnt and the paneer tikka lacked any flavour. I hope they return to their previous standard.

I had recently gone after years and can say the grilled options are amazing. The curry however was a let down and the waiter seemed to be in a rush to get us out before we could even settle in. But I still would come back for their mixed grill as this was a standout dish that they offer.

What an uncontested experience, on a class of its own. The best lamb chops I have ever had !! Wow!!! My waiter was Amin… really brought the place to life for, well behaved , respectful and patient with my order. Thank you Amin.

Had a wonderful lunch here with my friends. Except the Lamb Tikka Biryani, everything else was pretty good. Specially Mango Milkshake was top notch. I will definitely come back to try the Milkshake again.

Absolutely pathetic taste of food. The chicken karahi tasted like they had put one kilo of sugar in it. Lamb karahi was moderate but at lower end. Food was served cold. I regret spending or rather wasting £40 at this restaurant, it doesn’t even deserve 1star. Try at your own risk!!!

Needoo Grill is a longtime classic. Such good value, BYOB, welcoming waiters and very delicious food. The lamb chops are legendary. I'll go here till I'm too old to eat unassisted.

Group of 8 elderly people for our xmas meal. The starters, i.e meats are pretty good. Kebabs, and chops particularly. The lamb tikka was a little tough and the chicken tikka was nice but had a bit too much grease (it shouldn't have any surely from a tandoor?) One issue was 3 of our group were left without their meals for around an hour. They ordered vegetarian mains to be had at the same time as the meat starters, but this did not happen. It led to discord among our group as people were getting hangry. The main issue could well have been down to the high noise levels in there. It was extremely hard to hear, and there could have been a bit of miscommunication on our side so I don't want to say it was fully their fault. Once the veggies were fed, and we had the mains all was in harmony. I felt the veggie curries lacked variety a bit, I think the pumpkin curry used to be better. I love the daal with aubergine but due to the semi-chaos I didn't get to try any personally. I would still thoroughly recommend this place. The staff are gracious and efficient (mainly). Of course its BYO which is great for those who drink a bit with their meal. There's only 1 female bathroom for the whole place, but it was miraculously very clean and I didn't see a queue, so no complaints there really. I'd say the chops and kebabs are the best bits. The biryani is really, really spicy.

Great food! Probably best I’ve had in years. Staff are very polite and attentive. We had 9 or more dishes including soft drinks £70 great value recommend the chops!

Ordered chicken korai and came up with normal curry where small pieces of chicken swimming on the oil. All main dishes are pre cooked. Only nan and tandoori rote are cook after placing order. Did not taste like Korai at all. Only give 2 start because the waiter was extremely polite and showed professionalism. Will never ever visit them again.

I’m very disappointed and angry ordered a takeaway came home on my lamb curry mixed with cow meat and sheep meat smell different plus I don’t eat cow meat. I’m speechless can’t find a word how to described how people can do something like misleading information.

Good place and good food. Biryani with the separate sauce was definitely the highlight! But personally, I will not be going again because they still sell Coke and 7UP which support Israel👎🏼 However, if you do plan on going there - they will have bottles of water at the table already, and if you don’t wanna be paying £3+ for water, make sure to ask for tap water.

The positive review that I read about this restaurant was 12 years old and in that time, it his place has gone downhill. The food was very oily; prawns had a plastic texture. Asked for tap water and was given an already opened plastic bottle of water. Service without a smile which is just as well as tips are cash only, so when it came to adding a bit extra for the service charge, I was given the rudest treatment by the waiter as I had no cash, despite offering to tip via card. Best to go elsewhere if you want a nice experience/meal.

I had a terrible experience at this needoo restaurant. The plates and cutlery were so scratched and old, it was off-putting. I ordered the lamb chops, which tasted sour, and I couldn't tell if they were fresh or spoiled. The nihari and biryani dishes were equally disappointing. To top it off, the music they were playing was so bad that it gave us a headache. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Asked for chicken korma as they said it's not spicy, it was the spiciest one between 4 other plates we ordered. Not just me but everyone on my table thought the same, so it's not me being able to handle it Service was no good but he basically made me pay the full 12.5% (he was literally discussing with me for 2p, yes TWO PENCES) saying it was because of his boss. Would give 2 stars, but the food was good.

Tasty food and good quality one of the best in East London.

Me and my family crave this food often. The lamb samosas are big and juicy, and have a lot of filling inside. The lamb ribs are beautiful and seasoned so well. I have also tried some of the curry dishes which are great.

I'm a repeat customer, year after year since 2016. It always hits the spot and is an institution in East London. Very affordable and very tasty. Friendly service too!

Tasty food as always - never disappoints. I've been here countless number of times, I've been told the owner is somewhat related to Mr Tayyabs (not sure how true this is).

First of all, the service was very bad ! The waiter talked with us rudely!! My brother asked him about if there is something is missed when he served the dishes, he replied with a " Haaa " and all his eyebrows were up ! Calm down man we are just asking ! When we bring our food to the table , he literally threw the dish on my friends hand which hurts him ! it burned him a little pit as the dish was too hot !! The food was not bad but the curry and sauce were oily ! you can see the food is floating in oil !! We asked for tap water more than once and all we get is only promises ! finally they bring tap water in a refilled used bottle and not even full of water!! When we finished our dishes once i put my spoon down! He put the receipt on the table saying have you finsihed ! They were literraly evicting us from the place ! Not a recommended restaurant especially if you were with a family for their rude attitude!!!

I ordered meat biryani and instead they brought meat Pulao and I was surprised when I asked the waiter if this is meat Pulao or biryani and he said it’s the same thing 😄. I told them this is not biryani and asked for biryani just to taste and how it looks like ,staff was kind enough to give a plate of biryani separately and didn’t charge for biryani. I must say their special lamb pulao with the gravy was amazing and overpowering biryani. A must try
