Great grilled food. Went for one of the platters which included a bit of everything with rice. Mocktail was a bit too sweet, but the mango lassi was perfect. 2 of us were dining, and there was plenty of food leftover for lunch on the day after so decent value for money! All fully halal, no alcohol served, respectable staff and atmosphere. Family friendly too.

Disappointing Experience – Not What It Used to Be Visited this restaurant recently and sadly, it was a major letdown. The place was completely empty, which should’ve been the first red flag. No warm welcome, no greeting—just staff glued to their phones. When the food finally arrived, the table hadn't even been cleaned properly. Hospitality was almost non-existent—no “enjoy your meal,” no check-in during the meal. Only as I was leaving did someone approach, and even then, it felt awkward and lacking any real customer service. As for the food—it was underwhelming. All I could taste was oil and salt. The dish was dry and came with basic chips and salad thrown together. This restaurant used to be amazing, but since the new management took over, it’s gone downhill fast. Definitely won’t be returning.

The food was below average, but the drinks were even worse. It’s clear the staff have no idea how to make them properly. Save your money—you're likely to be disappointed.

Staff were very nice and they were very generous with portions. Didn’t cost us much either. So I have to say good for it money.

Visited last night , was full of people as it was the second day of Muslim Eid . All staff Asians not a single turkish to be seen .some waiters are completely unprofessional untrained some are plainly rude , obviously overworked and underpaid . We ordered starters some did not come ,waiter forgot to bring them ,the other waiter was even worse ,rude not pleasant and just threw plates on the table .an Asian diner was at the counter,she was screaming and obviously very upset with the staff ,she completely lost it .when the main meal came one item was missing ,I had to complain then our side order Lahmacun came , it was reheated and was left for long in the kitchen ,I did let them know that I was very unhappy with the service the attitude and some of the food .I understand it was very busy but it's not an excuse for the poor service unprofessional staff and quality of food .we always used to go there for our family meals and outings ,NO MORE .

The food was okayy. Nothing special to say. The service was horrible. Had to wait 20 mins to order anything since the restaurant wasnt busy and the waiters running around nd doing their work except for looking at us and taking our order. But i must say the environment was quite nice to have food with ur family. Overall i would rate the experience a bit lower than average. And would love to see a better service next time please

The strawberry mojito was disappointing- it had no actual strawberries, just plain 7Up, mint leaves, and strawberry syrup. As for the food, it was far from authentic Turkish cuisine. The flavors were bland and lacked the richness expected from Turkish dishes. Calling it Turkish food is honestly a shame. Safe to say, we won’t be returning. For anyone considering a visit, I’d strongly recommend saving your money. There are plenty of other places with much better food at more reasonable prices.

food was cold bread and the platter tasted nice but the jumbo platter for 4-5 was eaten by me and two other people comfortably so it ain’t the the biggest

This place is good and if you see the food looks bad then don’t get it and the food is really amazing service is really quick and absolutely taste I think people should come here for iftar

My favourite restaurant because it has lovely food, lovely service and always careful about allergies. However, it’s very expensive! Parking can be difficult to find.

I have to admit, Maedah Grill took me by surprise. The food was tasty, served hot and was decent value for money. Service was on point and food arrived quickly. Was it the best grilled food I’ve eaten? No. But there’s no denying that the food tasted decent.

Poor service reduces the experience. If it was actually run by a Turkish person, maybe the "Turkish hospitality" would be present. That said, the customer level staff usually provide good service. Full disclaimer: this is regarding my experience from several years ago, that's how bad the experience was. Before that, it wasn't so bad. Sad.

Worst wrap ever. Chicken wrap but full of salad and tiny pieces of cold chicken.🙈

It's very sad that this restaurant got to this level. Service 0. Six waiters all were busy with talking to eachother. I served our table myself, even then nothing changed. Food was over cooked and dry. Almost to burned level. No much Halal place left in this country, however turning the restaurant to this level it's so sad.

Este solía ser un restaurante muy popular, hace mucho tiempo mi esposa y yo solíamos ir cada semana. Al no haber estado en muchos años pensamos que deberíamos darle una oportunidad (los propietarios originales se agotaron hace mucho tiempo). Nunca más.

Grandes filetes, shawarma impresionante, servicio de primera categoría y familia satisfecha. No hay culpa. El personal era muy amable y este lugar es muy recomendable.

We found hair in the wing, the waiter said it’s normal. And did not even care. The starter that we ordered was burnt. And was not happy. Please don’t care here and waste your money. This Turkish restaurant lost its spark it’s not the same as it used to be.

Place has massively gone downhill. This isn't the maeda grill I knew years ago. Food took ages, restaurant wasn't busy, chicken was raw. Manager couldnt care less. Won't be going there again!

I forget my hear phone. I remember immediately and come back the waiter took it and they refuse to give me back when I requested inside camera they told me NOT working. They are theives. be careful guys . I swear they give me two bills to pay instead one then I was surprised and ask what is this two billsand say sorry. These people are theives. Ordered jumbo mixed grill, lentil soup. I found that the jumbo platter did not have enough rice in comparison to the size of the platter. Parking is difficult so please bear that in mind.

Went there for takeaway. The place is so quiet, I don’t know how they managed to mess up the order. Asked for chips the gave rice! Told them to make it well done which they didn’t! Most disgusting thing is the hygiene the wings was full of hair and there was an actual feather on it!! N

Place is chaotic & the service slow, but food was good so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. I think the main issues was there were events going on and the guests felt they had the monopoly on the place.

Been here a few times, everytime i want to order the pide they say they dont have it. Yesterday i went again and this time i heard the cheff say he doesnt want to do it, so the other guy came and lied to me saying they dont have it again. If your going to have things on the menu, you should be able to fulfill it. This is a constant thing. Take it off the menu if your constantly not bothered to make it.

I had my nikkah program in the restaurant area the manager was convincing but we didn’t get what we discussed food quality was below average he said he will decorate the table but he didn’t we paid for dessert (halwa)but at the end of the party i ask him about the dessert than he gave few pices of baklava while my all guests left the party.

The food is gone down, falafel taste like daal, and As I was leaving I spotted a mice running past. I asked the waiter with the fuzzy hair, he just shrugged his shoulder, and didn't give two shits.

First time going to this restaurant. The chilli sauce they gave was off, as soon as we tried it, it had a weird taste in our mouth as well as it smelt off as well. The chicken was still raw. The waiter did give us new chicken and new sauce. But they should check properly before serving out of date source to customers. We wanted 5 lamb chops instead of 4 and said we would pay extra for it as there was 5 of us. Apparently they are not allowed to give an extra lamb chop even if we pay for it as it is counted for each platter. This is the first time we heard such nonsense.

I think the staff .they came all the way from another world. They never get learn how to service customer. We been dine 2of us. Strowberry Mocktails comes no fresh strawberry. They just put strawberry syrup and 7up. I never had this kind strawberry mocktails.food comes two 20minutes aparts so my friends finish the food then my food comes.food was too oily. Start belly pain after eating stateway. I report to the healthy and safety . we ask for tissue its never come on table.This is not proper Turkish restaurant. Food was not that tastes 😕. They ruins my lunch. I request everyone not to go there ever.

Ideally located next to East London Mosque I often treat myself to lunch after Juma/Fridays Congregational Prayers as I find their grilled food very tasty and modestly priced.

Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Service: 4/5**** The staff were friendly and attentive, though we had to call them over a couple of times—first for extra menus and later to place our order. However, once the order was placed, the food arrived promptly. Atmosphere: 5/5***** For a Sunday evening, it was fairly quiet, but we appreciated the calm. We reserved a private booth, which added to the experience, and were even able to use one of the rooms to pray, making the evening even more convenient and enjoyable.

Here's a revised version: My Deliveroo account was blocked because the waiting staff told me the order would be ready in 10 minutes, but it actually took 20 minutes. This delay caused my account to be banned. Please train your staff to provide accurate waiting times so riders know exactly how long they need to wait.

Disappointing Dining Experience at Maedah Grill My recent visit to Maedah Grill left much to be desired, as the atmosphere was far from inviting, lacking the warmth and vibrancy one might expect from a Turkish restaurant. The food, unfortunately, did not redeem the experience; it tasted bland and unseasoned, reminiscent of a home cook's first attempt at Turkish cuisine rather than the authentic flavors I was hoping for. Despite these shortcomings, I must commend the service, which was attentive and friendly, providing a silver lining to an otherwise underwhelming dining experience.

It was a good dine place before but its seems its no more. 1. Super poor customer service 2. food potion minimised 3. Complimentary tea stopped and price a slightly increased. Overall received a poor service. No longer recommended.

The service was very disappointing. We had to wait an hour to be served our main meal. They had a booking of two big parties and they did not make this clear when we entered the restaurant. We had a very hungry 15 month old who began to grow restless as we had to wait an hour for our food to be served. We were only served our mains when we queried why it was taking too long. Even then they took their time. When they bought out the main meals. They forgot my sisters order and she had to eat her meal after everyone had finished. Not only that my 15month old nephews meal which was chicken shish.. two of the chicken pieces were raw!! I also forgot to mention when we asked why the food was taking too long.. they said they had to prioritise the big party even though we had ordered first. Never going back again.

Food was OK but could have been better. The tables were not clean, there was old food stuck under the glass.

I have been coming here for many years its not the same unfortunately its quality of the food isn’t so good as it used to be, customers service is good its nice and spacious. You have everything near by.

I went there today 16/08/24 with my family. My under ages child was served gone off chicken. The staff were not even quick to respond they just stood there staring at me until my husband insisted that they tried the chicken. After which one staff took it back to the chef and the chef confirmed that the chicken steak was slightly off. I was furious that they had served gone off chicken. I was concerned my child would get food poisoning the waiter gave a lousy response oh its okay the chicken isn’t that off like that was meant to reassure me. I can only advice and warn steer clear with children and eat at your own risk.

Went here with some friends. Very relaxing environment. Waiters were attentive. Food was great 👍 although it's very sunny and being sat near the window I was boiling just a heads up for anyone who gets hot easily.

The food used to be a lot better here, I went back after years and unfortunately the quality has gone down. The nice thing is it’s right next to the mosque.

We went on Thursday afternoon and it was not busy at all. The service was excellent. The food was amazing. Portion sizes are great and most importantly the taste is excellent. The complimentary bread is so soft and melts in your mouth. I don't know the name of our waiter but he was excellent (he was wearing some kind of bandage on his hand). Overall, absolutely excellent and insha'Allah we would love to come again.

This is my family and my favourite Turkish place to visit, we have definitely become happy regulars. I’d like to give a shoutout to the Manager Alam, he provides a splendid service and hospitality.

We had a cousins reunion we were group of 20. We had a great time food was amazing service was top notch. Happy to try this restaurant.

Today i went to Maedah grill With my Wife for our Lunch, Food was excellent and most importantly very Good enough, service and behaviour was very nice and humbled specially the Manager made good look after to us , All in all I recommend Maedah grill for its best location, food and service . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wouldn’t even give it a one star! Absolutely horrendous food! and complete waste of money. The mixed mezze and lahmachun was disgusting! Tasted off and looked old🤢🤮 we couldn’t eat it and had to leave it, An insult to call it ‘Turkish’ food. To conclude, if you don’t want to be food poisoned than avoid like the plague/pandemic!…needs serious health and safety investigation!

Maedah grill is not bad the food is very good especially the Turkish pizza 🍕 fantastic but the service not great they got our orders confused with someone's else's table which made us wait another 15 min overall not bad the food made up for everything else.

It was OK but not so tasty that I would want to go again. The hummus was very tasty, the small meat platter was good. Everything is sharp.

Few days ago I was there with my family and they have really absolute good food with good portion size. Prices are good too. My wife loved the mango lassi and hummus a lot. Definitely we will be back soon.

Ive been to this place so many times, and always loved it. Today I went again and was served by Mizanur Rahman, he was really nice and helpful alongside all members of staff! Very good service with kind people, will be visiting soon!

The food is tasty no doubt but the service standard is on the poorer side I had booked a table for 2 and also order food then and there but as we arrived they said no food was ordered only a table booked on my name.Hence I had to order food again then the food was given to us 15 mins after the magrib prayer and thus I had to rush to magrib prayer without having the Iftar that much as the food came later as mentioned. When the bill was provided they didn’t give me any discounts but as I made the manager aware of this situation I had basically forced them to finally give me a discount of 15%.

We ordered grill platter and tasted good. They have very good deserts options and also Turkish tea.

Avoid ! It’s not a Turkish restaurant it’s managed by Asians! Terrible service , terrible food and it’s unprofessional! Selling drinks clearly labelled 59p for £1.75. Booked for 8 people and we were squashed on a table for 6. !! Never again!

Nice environment with good customer service

I am appalled at the downward trend of this restraunt, the quakity and service is very bad as i used to come to this restraunt when it was turkish ran, old chewy bread, spicy food not reflecting turkish cusine. The waiter rolled his eyes at my brother when he requested fresh bread instead of the stale bread served.

We attended a nikah party here and had a really good time. The food was delicious. The staff looked after everyone really well, we were happy with the service. Really accommodating to our requirements. Highly recommended.
