Morgans Restaurant Bistro in Eastbourne

Morgans has been my favorite restaurant for a number of years now, we always go and eat there whenever we visit Eastbourne, and were there on Christmas Eve. The restaurant changed hands a year or two ago, there have been some changes to the decor, but the menu, first class service and great value for money remain the same. Looking forward to my next visit!

We returned to this special restaurant last weekend. Yet again superb food, the liver and bacon was ultra delicious. A friendly atmosphere and excellent service from the charming Ewelina. Thank you !

The ambience is cosy, attractive, the hostess extremely welcoming . We had a delicious meal, starters and mains. I asked for suggestion as to how to cook one of the dishes and it was explained. I can't wait to revisit!!

Restaurant looked clean, service was fairly good, but we did have to ask for the carafe of water every other table was given once they were seated. King prawn Thermidor was lovely, not impressed with the overcooked carrots and broccoli served with it (which I left). Pepperoni pizza was mediocre, lacking in flavour, even Domino’s do better! Pity really, you would expect an Italian restaurant to be able to make a good pizza. Expensive for the quality of food. No specials any more either. Several better places to go for dinner nearby.

Had a wonderful meal for two on Saturday 29/7/23. Great food and very attentive service.will definitely come again when we visit eastbourne again and highly recommend anyone else to.

Absolutely loved our dinner at Morgan’s on Friday night. The food, service and prices were exceptional. Hats off to the girls working there that night, they went above and beyond their customer service. Well done all. A great place to eat, and should we ever be back in Eastbourne, we’ll definitely go back. The place is a gem.

Enjoyed a very tasty dinner at Morgans yesterday evening. The main courses and desserts were delicious, and they and the good quality wine were reasonably priced. Pleasant and efficient staff, stylish decor and a nice ambience.

Food was absolutely first class and very reasonable. Such a lovely atmosphere and the waitress was very friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back.

I went there last Saturday for lunch with my husband, brother and his wife. It is a lovely venue with great service and excellent food.

It was quite average. My dish was as if it was prepared with mascarpone and tomato sauce from tesco with pasta and chicken added. However staff was very kind and we like the decor. What we tried from food - just average. Could be other options taste better.

Went for a meal with friends order garlic bread with cheese as a starter to share. Got served “garlic” bread, couldn’t taste any and no cheese. The mains however made up for it. The mussels were delightful but you need to order a side or bread & butter to with them. Pasta lovely too and big portion. Didn’t feel the service was very good as had to keep trying to get their attention to ask for drinks etc.

It’s called Morgan’s Bistro but is definitely a solidly Italian menu. We opted to sit outside, it’s a bit of a busy road and although close to where we were staying, off the main Eastbourne front in ”Little Chelsea” as signs described it!We had mussels, deep fried Brie, steak and a chicken dish, all very tasty. The service was a bit patchy as the owner himself admitted and apologised for, as we were a little forgotten as seated outside. A complimentary Disarronno was given with the bill. A good end to a fine week in Eastbourne.

This bistro has the most impeccable service, with customers being serenaded with whistling as the food arrives. Outside tables are ideal for customers who enjoy the ambience of the alfresco eating experience. Most importantly, the food is of the highest quality - my personal favourite dining experience of the year so far.

Slightly off the beaten tourist route and a quiet Monday evening so perfect for us getting back out there slowly types. Tables well spread out and masks worn by staff and customers when moving about.Lots of good looking things on the menu but with some knowledgeable menu recommendations we decided on Mussels, Pan fried king prawns, Veal Milanese, Cod fillet wrapped in parma ham followed by lemon sorbet topped with a limoncello - all good choices.Service was fantastic (attentive and friendly, chatting when we wanted suggestions and info about Eastbourne but not hovering while we ate). If you want proper food in a good atmosphere where people speak to you this is the place. We will be back.

We arrived for our pre-booked table and were seated at a table of our choice.We chose mussels to start with…both versions (white wine and tomato-based). These arrived quickly and were really tasty, and although they were starters the portion sizes were very generous.For mains we had the king prawns tagliatelle and the calves liver and bacon. Again, these were lovely and very flavoursome.By the time we’d finished, we were both unable to squeeze in any desserts, so we settled for coffees (plus complementary limoncellos).A very pleasant evening and thoroughly recommended. A quiet evening probably because of the football and with only three tables in use we were very well looked after by the patron.A comprehensive menu with Italian emphasis, good quality ingredients simply and well cooked gives tasty and wholesome food. For many years when visiting Eastbourne and wanting a restaurant meal, we have headed for this great little bistro. After a far too long a gap because of lockdowns, it was a real pleasure returning today - the food and service is still excellent and the lunch set menu great value with full size portions.

Found this nice bistro in 2020 whilst on a break in Eastbourne , was so nice we said we would be back, and we did, did not disappoint food & service both excellent, will be back in 2022 if not before 🤞🏻🤞🏻

We had visited Morgan’s on previous visits to Eastbourne so we were hopeful the standard of food would be the same. We were not disappointed. Good choice of dishes on the menu and the quality was just the same as we remembered. Staff were friendly and helpful so in all an enjoyable evening.we Will return next time we are in Eastbourne.

We went to this Morgans whilst on a long weekend break. The service is very professional and prompt. The food is truly outstanding though, the prawn dish I had is one of the best I have ever eaten in the UK.

Hands down the best Italian food I have ever tasted, and I love Italian food. Brilliant service, lovely intimate atmosphere and food to die for. Large portions and well priced. We'll definitely be back! Go already, you'll love it.

Primera vez en unos años desde que visité aquí, creo que nuevos propietarios. El servicio era muy atento y vigilaba las cosas. Mano anti-bac al entrar. Mantener la distancia tanto como sea posible pero no tirar los menús ni limpiarlos. La comida era deliciosa no me puedo quejar de todos modos. Hubiera dado 5, pero la nueva decoración no se adapta al restaurante en absoluto, podría haber sido más elegante. Volvería a visitar.

Encontramos este fabuloso lugar por accidente ya que el italiano a la vuelta de la esquina estaba lleno, ¡suerte! Mi marido tenía los tallarines y yo los canelones, tanto deliciosos como porciones grandes. Nos sentamos afuera y el personal nos cuidó muy bien. El Lusagne era soso, nadie hablaba con los clientes ni siquiera verificaba si todo estaba bien, nadie preguntó si queríamos más bebidas, faltaba el botón de descarga en las damas y nadie se molestó en decir adiós. Nosotros no vamos a volver.

We happened upon this restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to get some pasta during a recent visit to Eastbourne. At first we were told they were full, and whilst we were standing outside deciding where to go next, the owner/manager came out to say he could fit us in. How pleased we were that he did. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food was great, especially the carbonara and the pan fried sea bass. Reasonably priced as well. We will definitely be back on our next trip to sunny Eastbourne.

We had a few post 'lockdown' days away at Eastbourne and were very pleased to find Morgans is open for business - I have reviewed this restaurant before and it is still my favourite, we had the King Prawn starter, mushroom soup then Chicken Princessa and baked Salmon with Spinach, freshly cooked and beautifully presented

I have been here a couple of times now and the service has been excellent. I have recently been again however feel strongly about mentioning my previous visit.One of us ordered a meal ( I can't remember what meat it was) however we were charged £1 extra for the gravy which is a complete rip off.When we questioned it we were told it was because something to do with suppliers however that does not mean charging £1 for gravy which should come as standard.It has put me off going ever again as I do not like this tactic however I was taken there for lunch recently and I was happy with the service and yes Morgan is a nice place with great staff however being charged extra for gravy is terrible when one of us did not have to pay for our gravy as we had a different dish... Penny pinching comes to mind and poor excuse

What is there not to like about Morgan's ?This was one of the best meals out I've ever had , a very warm welcome and excellent service.Nothing was to much trouble and the staff were very accommodating.If You have never been I really urge and encourage you to Visit this little Gem of a place.We will definitely be going again

Absolutely perfect. Been here 6 times now and probably the best in Eastbourne for food quality. Staff are great also Ps we like to go out in Eastbourne a lot and have probably been to every restaurant this and Thai marina are my top 2

Tengo una alergia importante y no tuve ninguna preocupación, todos fueron maravillosos.La comida fue cocinada con amor. El bistec de mi esposo era perfecto, mi salmón era enorme y de nuevo increíble.
