Excellent food, not dripping in grease, freshly cooked, good service and very efficient. Spotlessly clean would definitely recommend

Was not impressed with breakfast, the bacon was overcooked / hard, very salty. The sausage tasted cheap, the beans all probably had swimming certificates as they washed around the plate. The toast was very thin, supplied buttered was limp and wet. However, fried egg and mug of tea were ok. Sorry, won't be back, certainly not value for money compared with other cafes in area.

I was looking for somewhere to grab something for breakfast and this place was nearby where I was staying, had a full English breakfast and it was pretty good and reasonable price, will be back, thanks

Lovely fresh veggie breakfast. Gave extras as I’m fussy and wanted to change set breakfast! Not greasy at all like a cafe fry up. Also reasonably priced. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars as I am partially sighted and didn’t see the sign that it was cash only. The lovely waitress showed me where the cashpoint was next door and I then paid. Would definitely return (with cash)!

By far my favourite cafe in Eastbourne. The breakfasts are delicious and portion sizes are big. Good quality ingredients and lot's of choice on the menu. Service is always fast too.

Portion extremely good, breakfast wasn't what I actually ordered but edible. I asked for bacon, but given a sausage bap. I didn't notice until I bit into it as I was busy chatting. It is a well used Cafe, constant flow of customers. I will be more careful next time when I order ensuring I get what I ordered.

Came here on a cold wet Tuesday morning after my sister recommended it. First impressions were that it was clean and tidy. Service was quick and friendly. Food was very good and hot. I had the Beatty breakfast which included bubble & squeak, black pudding and a mug of tea. Definitely recommend this cafe

We are not local to the area but when we visit we always come to this hidden gem. Very clean, easy to park, great staff and the food is freshly cooked, served very hot, and presentation of food is great as well as great tasting. Would highly recommend

This is a little Jem of a cafe. Pleasant table and kitchen staff. Courteous, cheerful service of well cooked, good value food. I would thoroughly recommend the oap breakfast. My wife and I were recommended to try the cafe by friends. We will certainly return.

During a pandemic when the use of cash is considered to be high risk for transmission of COVID-19 it is very disconcerting that a food establishment has a huge sign on its entrance saying CASH ONLY. One can only imagine the germs they are passing on to each and every customer they come into contact with. Apart from the fact we are living in the 21st Century and most people (especially now) are using contactless payment methods, one has to wonder at the legality of only accepting cash, even disregarding the moral health dilemma. Can establishments insist on cash only? This place needs to wake up and smell the coffee, show some consideration to the health of their customers and join THE 21st CENTURY.

Had a great Breakfast yesterday - lovely food and great atmosphere. By far the best Breakfast in town and excellent value.

Been to this cafe for breakfast a few times now . The food is always hot and very tasty and the staff very helpful and polite. Highly recommend a breakfast to set you up for the day.

Love a breakfast and thought we would give this place a try. Set back about 5 mins from the seafront in amongst a small parade of local shops. Varied menu choice to cater for differing wants. Had the breakfast and there was a good choice of small to large, and everything in between. 3 of us went and had different breakfasts, all hot, tasty and served in good time. Coffee was good. Place was half full and stayed that way with customers coming and going. Seems a popular choice with customers trying a variety of meals. Staff were pleasant and gave service with a smile. Would go back again.

We went here for breakfast this morning. There’s a great choice for breakfast. Everything we had was lovely and other people’s food looked good too. The bacon was well cooked and there’s table service which is nice. Good coffee out of cup and saucer was a nice surprise too. The sausages could have been crispier.

Dropped in with my daughter while practising for her driving test at the nearby test centre. Excellent food, fast service, good prices, clean, parking in the free car park immediately outside. Nothing not to like !

I don't know how long Beatty Cafe has been in Eastbourne but I am chuffed it is there. If my friend from school hadn't told me I would have totally missed this gem. Unfortunately the location is not in the centre of town so if you don't drive I don't know how you would get here. Before I went, looked it up and the photos were promising so I just couldn't wait to go. Went on the weekend with friends and the cafe was almost packed, there were queues while we were indulging on our breakfasts. The breakfast sets include tea or coffee with a good few choices which make it hard to decide as all of them were good. In the end I went for the Rise and Shine which had Bubble, egg, sausage, bacon, toast, tinned tomatoes and black pudding. As a greasy fry up, you would expect it to be oily but there was not a drop of oil to be found so it was super impressive. Every element in the breakfast was so damn good especially the bubble because it tasted like the one I had in London by Mr Gs in Stepney Green. I liked the way the bubble was shaped into a rectangle with pieces of cabbage within the mashed potato. The black pudding was also tasty unlike some other brands which look like a black pudding but lack flavour and the pork sausages they served were good quality in the sense that there was not much chewy bits found in the sausage. Pancakes don't captivate me as much as their breakfast but I love the choices they offer like cherry and pineapple. Overall it was so delicious that I regretted not getting the bigger breakfast which I will next time.

Go there once a week for breakfast and food always freshly made and staff are great too.. there is parking but there are busy times where your find it hard to get parking space but over all love Beatty cafe 👍

Came in for lunch on a whim as was hungry and I had heard good things but was disappointed when I was eating and heard what I assume was the boss shouting rudely at his staff for seemingly doing nothing but there jobs.

Took my aunt and her friend for brunch. One of the ladies ordered scrambled eggs for £1.20. They arrived with no toast, which we were told was an additional 50p per slice! Who expects their customers to pay extra for bread?! Stale looking white bread at that.

You won’t get clean eating but you will get quick cheap tasty food. Eaten here lots with work and would eat again if want quick filling hot meal. Wouldn’t be good for clients/date etc.

I'm not a regular here, but I'm local and I've eaten here several times. The breakfast is always brilliant, well cooked with good portion sizes and quality food. Lunch is very good too, with options on the menu that aren't fried. Service is always good too. Worth driving a few miles to, if you enjoy a good fry up.

I would recommend this cafe to any one. when i ask my sons where would you like to eat breakfast, Beatty Cafe is the one for them. I have been to meany greasy spoons cafes over the years and i find this one is the best. Do not just take my word for it, try it yourself. You would not be disappointed.

Had a breakfast meal from a good choice of options on the menu. Excellent large cup of coffee, food nice and hot. I agree with the review below about the sausages! Service was quick, but there few customers when I arrived. Was filling up when I left. Ketchup and brown sauce in bottles, not those silly square packs. Good place to go if staying at that end of Eastbourne, which I was. Open every day for breakfast and lunch. Bus stop right outside for those without cars to get easily to and from Eastbourne centre.

We were in Eastbourne and decided to lunch at Beatty Cafe. I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans and it was delicious. My wife was equally impressed with her jacket potato and prawns. Service was prompt and polite and we parked right outside the door. Excellent value.

Very clean and pleasant cafe, friendly staff and good service. I have had many nice breakfasts there. The toilet is clean and has baby changing facilities and there is a big car park right outside.

Another good visit. Food is hot, tasty and most importantly, not greasy. Service prompt as always despite the place being full. People waiting for tables is always a good sign of a popular place to eat. Reasonably priced and you will never leave here hungry. Lots of free parking and a great menu range. Try it.

Came today with my parter and two sons and we all loved it! Have heard the hype about it here and I have to say it's all true. Food was lovely, portions were huge and well worth the money. Staff were nice and restaurant was clean. Would recommend and definitely come again.

Love this little cafe. The food is cooked to order, make up your own combination or from the set menu. The choice is endless. Far far better than the 'chains' around the area. Easy parking too.

Yes, go to the Beatty Café when you are hungry because you will certainly not be hungry after your visit. There is a very wide ranging menu with multiple choices of Breakfasts, Jacket Potatoes, Omelettes, Baguettes, Sandwiches and so much more, they have the best Bacon I have ever tasted and the Jacket Potatoes come with a side salad that is a meal by it's self.This café opens at 7am and closes at 3pm and lunch time has many regulars who know where to get a good meal at a very reasonable price.This is a family run business with friendly and hospitable staff who are anxious for you to enjoy your visit. The premises are extremely clean with a car park right outside and people with mobility issues should have no problem with access.This is a super place to eat just slightly out of town and avoids all the overcrowding and parking problems with going into town to eat. Eat here and then go shopping is a good move.We go here about once a week and always look forward to our next visit !

Have been to the Beatty many times as it is near my home. Always excellent food and very clean. I don't recognise what the negative reviewers say. Have recommended it to many people who have also loved it. I have only had breakfasts there.

This is a hidden gem. A proper old-fashioned full English. Beautifully cooked. Friendly and welcoming.

Very rude staff. Went in with my son and Mother and after asking about something on the menu, we could hear the servers talking about us. Even though the order had been taken wrong. Over priced and food is average. Three female servers more interested in chatting than anything else. Not very welcoming

Best cafe in Eastbourne, our food was hot, great portion size and really good quality. Been here about 10 times now and we're always really happy and would highly recommend.

Told this was THE place for breakfast. If all you want is a huge plate full of food, then yes it is worth the visit. I was presented with my mug if hot water, with the tea bag inserted, and a tea pot with the milk. Something about that seemed strange. Salty bacon, not their fault, and so so sausages, that I can blame them for. The eggs, mushrooms, and tomatoes were excellent. The price was an eye watering £7 plus. Don't think this will be the first, but most likely the last visit.

fry up was pricey, blond server was awful - she wasn't clear on how to have the cooks alter a menu item. the place was very busy and clean.

Whilst many people rate this establishment on food alone I want to mention the surrounding elements. Yes undeniably the breakfast is always great. However that is were the positives end. A recent price hike has seen a big breakfast jump from £5ish to £7.95. Which makes it quite a bit more expensive then a few local competitors who also provide a lovely breakfast. The service here is also extremely poor. I was greeted by a rude young girl approaching our table and saying "are you ready yet?". A simple greeting would be nice given the homely surrounding they try and provide. I have visited this cafe for around a year 3-5 times a month but unfortunately this is my last having seen some of the competitions offering a better value and better service.

While in England I was informed to go to a "greasy spoon" for a English Breakfast, so I found Beatty Cafe and I'm so happy that I did. I walked in around 13:00, sat down for a few moments and ordered the Big Breakfast with a coffee for 7.95 £ and boy was I ever full at the end of the meal. Service was prompt & polite, the restaurant was super clean & welcoming. The food came quicker than I thought and by the end of it my hashbrown still had steam coming from it!If you're withing walking distance or about 20 mins drive, I HIGHLY recommend coming here for an excellent priced breakfast.

Went here for breakfast one morning my husband was off work, staff was friendly and the food was good. Nothing special for a cafe but wasn't anything to complain about. Well placed as there aren't any other cafes near it so handy to have on the door step.

I refuse to have breakfast out anywhere other than here. Why would I when eveywhere else is inferior? The place is spotless, the staff are attentive and the grub is the best!

I usually go to the Harvester "all you can eat" for £8 but a friend recommended here and what a pleasant surprise. I had the "special" breakfast, 2 bacon, 2 hash browns, sausage, egg, tomato and coffee for £5.50 The bacon was huge and good quality, tasty sausage and generous size hash browns. Coffee was very good. Will definitely be back and judging on how many tables were full this is a popular venue.

The car park in Beatty road is a nightmare now due to the success of this excellent food venue The food is well presented and the portions are very generous one downside is once you have been you will turn into a big fatty :-) as you will go back

I have been in many cafes and by far the best one. The food was hot and fresh. The food took a bit of time to come as the cafe was so busy but it was well worth the wait. Highly recommended and wil defo be bk

First impressions, clean, tidy and friendly staff. This cafe had been recommended by a few friends. Food looked great. I may just have caught it wrong, I had 30 mins to grab something to eat and all I ordered was a bacon sandwich with brown sauce, and a tea. The tea was served with a smile quickly... But then... Nothing. After nearly 20 mins I enquired, reminding them I was pressed for time,... But no priority given, just told it was coming. To be fair, others were having enormous breakfasts delivered. At 25 mins I asked again, and said I would have to take it away. Still not ready. I felt like saying please don't bother, but it was then presented in a box. I ran out with my now take away and jumped in the car. Being in the box for a few mins. Hadn't done it any good and there was no brown sauce! Ok, 1st world problem and I can see that most other people were being well looked after. I will try again when I have more time and fancy a proper breakfast!

This café is just round the corner from us. We often have a gorgeous breakfast - which lasts you all day. The staff/owner are very friendly and helpful. We have also taken friends who live at Lancing there for lunch and the liver and bacon is enormous and lovely. Everything about the place is great. Nice and clean. What more can you ask for?
