Moggy's Cafe in Portsmouth

Frequently visit Moggys as the breakfast are superb and the staff are always so lovely and welcoming. No place better.

Lovely food. Have tried most dishes with my favourite being the breakfast menus. Plenty for children to choose from with all good reasonably priced. The staff are great, specifically Shona and Jackie. They create a warm welcome atmosphere and you can hear customer after customer saying they are back to see the two of them again. 100 recommend

We went to the cafe as a family of 5 including a under 2 and we absolutely loved it friendly staff very welcoming and very helpful and fantastic food really yummy and heartwarming meals we will be coming again for sure

Visited moggys today as a first time customer 9th of November 2022 what can I say firstly the two staff that where working couldn't of been any better credit where credit is due the where happy friendly and inviting, secondly the food was the best breakfast by far I've ever had cooked to complete perfection, because of these two very reasons this will be a weekly treat for me never do you get amazing food and equally amazing workers thanks for making it such an enjoyable experiance

I live a couple of minutes walk from Moggy's and fancied a cooked breakfast as I hadn't had one in a while. I ordered the large and asked to swap out the bacon for 2 extra eggs. The lady said this was absolutely fine. I had an orange juice which tasted as fresh as you can get it. The food arrived and the plate was full. The tomatoes were in a smal bowl atop the plate which kept them hot throughout the duration of my meal so top marks for that! The most notable thing of all was that there was no grease whatsoever. When it comes to cooked breakfasts this is hard to come by and so I was throughly impressed. Both ladies on shift were incredibly friendly, helpful and were enjoying their work. The music playing on the radio (Gold) really added to the atmosphere, making it relaxing and uplifting. I'm really happy with this visit and would recommend Moggy's to anyone that asks. 10/10

This is a lovely cafe in clarendon road right near the strand roundabout. Great for breakfasts and jacket potatoes. Always hot and fresh and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Disabled Friendly and disabled toilet. You will be hooked. Do other things with chips and will always try and accommodate you for what you fancy off the menu. Absolutely love this cafe and staff

I have just had a breakfast at moggys cafe really tasty 😋 all the food is freshly cooked and I had the big breakfast which includes a decent portion of mushrooms and tined tomato's which felt like a real treat I will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends and family,😄

Excellent Food. Our family had breakfast at Moggys Yard this morning. Everything served has been given great thought. The ingredients are all first class quality. The food is cooked freshly not pre cooked and warmed like a lot of cafes tend to serve. Everything is good quality the bacon, sausages, eggs, black pudding and the most tasty tinned tomatoes that I have eaten for many years ( yes tasty tinned tomatoes). The bubble and squeak is second to none, make sure you order some otherwise you will be missing out, it is so fresh and so tasty. The service is very good and very quick considering the size of the team working there. So much care goes into producing freshly cooked food. When visiting Southsea, Moggys Yard is a must for breakfast or lunch, you won’t be disappointed.

Food is cooked fresh, without a huge wait and the quality is great. Sausages taste really quality and omelette also delicious. The portions are really generous, the place is immaculate clean and the staff so friendly and welcoming. The cost is really reasonable with two big breakfasts costing a little over £10. Filling, tasty and hot. Great little place that we enjoy coming to and will keep coming to.

Didn't plan to eat but was passing and fancied a full breakfast. It was a great idea as it was excellent, well cooked and good value.

Great cafe. Great prices. Great staff. Food is always good here and they even take orders over the phone so your food will be ready when you get here if you don’t have long to eat. Brilliant.

Stayed at a nearby non food hotel so used this for the morning recovery fry up. Had the large breakfast, wife had poached eggs on toast with beans. 1 tea, 1 coffee, large orange juice all for around £13 - £14.00. Didn't have to wait too long. Appeared clean. Would definitely recommend if looking for a fair priced decent honest Fry up.

Not much to do in Southsea early on a Saturday whilst waiting for your scooter to be serviced at Andy Sills .. but this will do nicely. Newspapers ? - I must have been too early.. Went for the big breakfast, good selection, well cooked - & a mug of coffee to boot. Could even pick up Ladbrokes wifi from next door :) Clean & tidy, no greasy spoons here - lots of food choices. Lots of scooter services left.. I shall return.

Have been in here a few times now and just can't fault it. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, you get the use of free newspapers and the food is excellent. Will def keep coming back.

Mi esposa y yo realmente disfrutamos de este desayuno. La calidad de la comida era buena, con tocino y salchichas. No era grasiento y tenía un precio excelente. 4) 95 incluyendo una rebanada de pan tostado y té. El lugar estaba muy limpio, luminoso y moderno con periódicos gratuitos para leer. Un corto paseo desde el muelle sur. Sin duda volveremos si en la zona.

My and the mrs came to southsea for the day/night. Found this little beauty. Food was amazing and would definitely come again if in the area

Apareció aquí temprano porque muchos de los restaurantes locales no abren hasta las 9. Una vez dentro, estaba muy bien distribuido y el personal servicial. El desayuno completo era grande todo recién cocinado y bien presentado. El café estaba recién hecho y caliente. Muy recomendable para un gran desayuno y todo por 7!

En un domingo tranquilo me encontré en la zona.Encontré el café buscando algo para comer.Primeras impresiones, muy limpias con un ambiente agradable y educado. OCD limpio y lo digo de manera complementaria. Aseo de nuevo muy limpio.Mantente muy amable y educado. La comida tenía un precio razonable y se hacía rápidamente.Es su tradicional tocino y huevos, jamón y papas fritas, cafetería tipo roast dinner.Volvería otra vez y buen lugar para conseguir un mocha muy agradable.Mahoma

Fantastic breakfast. Cafe very clean. We wanted well done bacon and they delivered. All round fantsstic breakfast. Cafes like this used to be common - so was great to find decent cafe serving excellent food. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Moggy's cafe. Our english is far from being perfect but the lady there was very helpful and we enjoyed tasting a typical English breakfast. Thank you!

Recommended this place so thought we would try it. Located on the Strand Roundabout opposite old Harry Limes night club. Place was clean and appealing. Ordered the big breakfast which included tea, coffee or fruit juice. I went for coffee, which was sadly made with milk, so I kept getting milk skin every time I tried to drink it. The breakfast was big, but the quality wasn’t great. Definitely worth a try, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best.

Out for a walk in Southsea and came across Moggy's. Seems to be popular with work people but I think that is probably to do with the excellent value Full English breakfast that they do there. Family told me it was good and that they enjoyed it. I don't eat meat and did not fancy the breakfast which is why I asked for family opinions. Staff were efficient and friendly.

We have visited this café most weekends since it reopened in Feb 2017 The food is always good quality, well cooked & very good value The team - Dawn, Becca & Robbie are very friendly & efficient, making it an experience to repeat again & again The coffee is gorgeous Can't wait to get down there today for another "Moggy Fix" to get the weekend off to a flying start

This morning we decided to stop at a cafe along Clarendon Road in Southsea on the way back from an early morning walk at 8.00am. Moggy's cafe is simply decorated and clean. Geared up for breakfasts and brunches as it closes at 2.30pm. Open everyday except Mondays. I chose the standard breakfast and decided to indulge by having it with fried bread! The quality of the food was great and well presented. My fried bread was the best I had tasted in years for the price of £4.95 you also got a mug of tea or coffee! For the amount of food you receive and the quality of the food it was a competitively priced. Most breakfasts in Southsea can be expensive. So if you are on a tight budget I would definitely recommend this cafe or even if you are not. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had newspapers available to read. A variety of sauces. They did offer a vegetarian breakfast which my sister had. A little gem of a cafe which I hope to visit again soon.
