Marks & Spencer in Windsor and Maidenhead

I always shop for my vegetables at Marks & Spencer’s Maidenhead but since the dates have been taken off the vegetables, the vegetables are not great atall. I never used to throw any veg away and always was so fresh that the we were always able to go over the date. It definitely doesn’t last long atall now. I will give marks a miss with the veg now, it doesn’t help when I pay for the car park just to pop in the store for veg, such a shame

Not enough food, terrible service staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. I never received one of our drinks and when I went to ask the lady shouted at me.

Last Wednesday myself, together with a friend, shopped in Meadowhall. I went into the mens shirt department on the ground floor but couldn't find the items I wanted to purchase. A very helpful young lady called Paige was extremely helpful in locating items I couldn't find. Nothing seemed too much trouble for her and she was very polite. A credit to Marks & Spencers. Thank you Paige.

Visited M&S Food shopping horrible experience. The place is freezing. It's been a week I did speak to the staff and they repeat the same answer that heating is broken. Probably, they should shut the section. If they open for business they should maintain the standard. Not distract people by playing loud music. Overall very bad experience.

just needed a hot drink and get out of the rain had a tea coffee and two hot chocolate biscuits and a flapjack

Sometimes service ok not so today. You sometimes have to wait ages just to have something heated in the microwave. At times the staff just seem to stand over by the ovens chatting. I asked for toasted tea cakes today and was asked if I wanted brown sauce!!! She said I hadn’t asked for tea cakes but I had and the lady behind me said she heard me asking for them! Up your game M&S standards not half as good as they used to be. It’s also apparent that sometimes staff have little to do as they sometimes clean the same table over and over again!

Went for a toasted sandwich which is excellent quality, being M&S. Once again there was a problem - the dish washer wasn't working and food and drinks were served on paper plates and cups with a mixture of wooden and plastic cutlery. There always seems to be a problem somewhere in the restaurant that delays things. But food and coffee were very good.

Compared to others in the high Street, its getting a bit faded. Staff too. Menu wants a bit of a revamp. No real cooking takes place, a few things are heated. Sadly the papers that are usually available are not there?

Handy place for a bloke to wait, enjoy a snack , read the paper , look at his watch,whilst his wife continues to shop the morning away!

A nice little marks if you want to pop in and grab something, with the food section being the best bit of the store. Toilets are nearly always smelly however which gives me hygiene concerns when it comes to their cafe. The sink in the ladies has been out of order for months. Floors are dirty in the loos, and often no loo roll. Service in the cafe is very slow.On the up side, the rest of the store is well presented. No home wares however which is a real shame. Store is not huge but fairly small.

Good clean restauran area which serves the usual M & S fayre. Nice afternoon tea with sanwich and cakes.

You can't really complain about the food as it is all M&S. Prices are reasonable but compared with High Street coffee shops this is overstaffed x 2 but the service is slower. Too many cooks spoiling the broth?

Food ok but on several visits during the year the experience can be hit and miss, more miss than hit. Felt on last visit we were intruding on the staffs day! Soup stocked down stairs unavailable in cafe also doesn't make sense.on a previous visit all went well. But that seems to be the pattern, so decided to go else where on the high street. Used to be ok but now I would avoid.

Service was very slow. Both myself and my friend ordered baked potato with cheese and beans. When it finally arrived, they'd forgotten to put the cheese on his, so he had to do more waiting for them to bring a small bowl of cheese out. I wasn't overly impressed with the lunch as a whole and left most of mine. Will avoid on my next visit to Maidenhead.

The quality of their food, especially the toasted sandwiches cannot be faulted (well it is M&S;!). The drawback is that they seem to have far more staff than other coffee shops but take double the time to serve, even when they are not busy.

Dinner ladies meet Last of the Summer wine best describes this.

Very tasty lunch menu with lots of selection in the Marks & Spencer department store. Very friendly staff.

A typical M&S; cafe. The coffee is good and the food was of a good standard, as you would expect from M&S.; Unfortunately as I have found before service is so slow, even though there seem to be sufficient staff. Customers tend to be over fifty. I prefer the other coffee shops in town.
