Laurielle's Cafe Restaurant in Shepway

I have had lunch here a few times and decided to bring my learning disabled sister here for lunch. She chose Spaghetti Bolognese while I had Chilli Con Carne. Warm brownie & cream for afters. Service was quick & food very enjoyable, will come back again soon.

Friendly, warm, and inviting. Lots of room to move, with plenty of seating. Large choice menu for both food and drinks. Burger and chips were outstanding, and the portion was good. Vegetarian breakfast was OK and could be improved with better tasting vegetarian sausage. Toilets on site. I would have preferred table serve, but other than that, it was a nice place to come.

We love this place ! Such a great range of meals. Great service and great staff. The omelette meal with chips is always the best.

Worst breakfast I’ve had! Despite being told the food was fresh that was far from how it tasted the sausages were hard the mushrooms tasted like tinned ones and the egg was over cooked the only nice bit about it was the baguette but it was clearly very cheap food and overpriced on the menu it was £4.75 for a sausage baguette and onions and all I changed was the onion for mushrooms and added an egg the price then jumped to £7.95 so an extra £3.20 the food was all just chucked into the baguette with no care definitely will not be going back.

In such a handy position, right in the town centre next to Sainsburys. All food freshly cooked to order. Eat there often.

This little cafe is a bit tucked away. I have been a few times recently for a cooked breaky, sometimes one my own and sometimes with a friend. I will give 10/10 for Hygiene,cleansiness,freindly staff, excellent choice amazing prices, exceptional clean toilets. I would love a little bit of soft music as it's very quiet,plenty of tables seating single to four people. The price to me is mega vfm. Breaky includes tea or juice, and toast.8 item for under £6 piping hot,minium wait. I will be returning.

My husband and I went here for first time and I must say I am very fussy when it comes to English breakfast I never write reviews good or bad,but I like to give credit when it's due it was the best breakfast I have had in ages and excellent value for money. Would definitely be back and highly recommend!!

Having read the positive reviews on this café we decided to go there for a late lunch on Sunday. I only wanted some toast while my partner had a baked potato with prawns. Thinking it wouldn't take long as there were only a few people eating, we waited 25 minutes! When it eventually arrived, the underdone "toast" was soggy with some horrible tasteless spread, while the prawns on my partners potato smelt strongly fishy, a smell even the watery sauce couldn't disguise, and the potato had the same tasteless spread. Needless to say, lunch was abandoned.

My twins favourite place. My twins and I are coeliac and dairy free this place is amazing always friendly with great advice and choice in what we can eat. During this pandemic I feel so safe eating here they have made every effort to make their diners feel so safe thank you

We had lunch here the food was excellent but also the service was outstanding. A little old lady entered while we where eating and as she sat down one of the staff came to her table so she didn’t have to get up as she had mobility problems , she new her order got her tea and left her to have a look at the menu , we where very impressed . The cafe was very clean . The only thing that let it down was the toilets smelt a bit although looked clean .

Saw gf advertisted on the window popped in not only did they have gf bread choices they had gf sausages & spread also choice of milks oat almond or coconut choice of gf cakes one very happy lady drink & food I could have lovely & clean great service & seating outside with umbrellas prices reasonable to will certainly use again

Wife and I have family that live in Folkestone, so while waiting for them to finish work we popped in for a coffee or two Popped in for a coffee, No complaints coffee was nice would use again.

We have recently moved to Folkestone and having seen the Reviews we decided that we would go for Brunch. As my hubby was eating out later that evening he opted for the small breakfast which he said was okay but I chose the large breakfast (not having had a good fry up for a long time). Although when served it obviously wasn't the biggest plate of food I have seen but for the price it was adequate, the disappointment came when I started to eat it. The only hot thing on the plate proved to be the Hash brown, the rest of it was barely warm and I absolutely loathe lukewarm food of any description especially when it is supposed to be hot. As it was Saturday it was quite busy otherwise I would have sent it back. It really is good value for money as it comes with a pot of tea or coffee but it would have been even better if it had tickled my taste buds. We did see other meals being served that were steaming so, assuming that I was just unlucky, we will try again at some point in the not too distant future.

I work with special needs and we go to this cafe every time we are in folkestone as the staff are very polite and friendly

A little gem of a café hidden away in Folkestone you will find this little cafe near sainsburys in the town it is well worth a visit food is excillent coffee is fresh

I have been here a few times now and on a previous visit I had cheese omelette and chips, the omelette was light and fluffy before, but this time it was a little over cooked and not light and fluffy like before. Not sure if this was because this time we went on a Friday and before it was a Saturday - different chef maybe? Will still go again, this won’t put me off as I have more lovely meals than not so lovely.

Stopped in for quick breakfast and very impressed by how they indicate allergens and how they accommodate those with allergies, such as gluten or dairy. One very happy wife today, which makes my life easier 😉

This was a lil stop off in between shopping but such a welcoming place. The food was delicious, a spacious area and extremely child friendly including toileting facilities for potty training. Would highly recommend xx

I visited here while shopping with my mum, it is tucked away around the corner and you could easily miss it. The girls who work there are friendly, the food is great and very reasonably priced. There is a good distance between the tables which allowed me to push the wheelchair around easily and you don’t feel cramped. You go up to the counter to order and they deliver your food to the table. I had cheese omelette and chips and it was absolutely delicious my mum had a fried up with fried bread, I would have to say the fried bread is the best I have ever tasted. This is the second time we have visited and both times it was busy and we will definitely go there again. Although it may not look much from the outside - it is defiantly a case of looks can be deceptive.

I found Laurielle’s by chance when looking for a light bite and drink. The staff at the restaurant were very welcoming and I ordered a bacon sandwich and tea. The bacon was cooked perfectly and the tea was lovely, served in it’s own little teapot. Would definitely recommend and thank you to the staff for a very pleasant visit

Yo y mi pareja venga aquí regularmente para comer (de hecho, nos vienen a menudo los empleados tienen memorizado lo que quieras! Normalmente cada orden) una sandwichera y una taza de té y nunca nos decepciona. Tienen una buena variedad de alimentos para escoger y el personal es amable.

Cannot fault this cafe. Beautiful food. Wide ranhe of gluten free treats always available. Ample seating. Light clean and airy. Very polite ladies who own and work there. Regular visitors 2 to 3 x per week A*

This is the only place in folkestone I will happily eat alone for lunch. The food is so fresh and reasonable prices too. Have been coming here for years and the quality is always of a high standard. Keep it up ladies.

I stumbled across this cafe by accident - What a hidden gem! Ordered a set breakfast and received it freshly cooked within minutes. Good food at cheap prices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. 5/5

Visited this cafe on my lunch break with my partner, its always quick service and good value for money. The hot chocolate from this cafe is great, served with cream and marshmellows!

El ambiente es agradable para cualquier tipo de visita, la comida es deliciosa, si lo que quiere es un desayuno o una comida principal, y sus bebidas calientes son preciosas. 10/10, volveremos la próxima semana.

Han estado usando este café durante muchos años, siempre nos saludaba con una sonrisa. Mis hijas están teniendo su hora del almuerzo y siempre hemos tenido buena, rapida y eficiente servicio. Cualquier variación en el menú de la comida nunca ha sido un problema, siempre caliente y bien preparado. Buena relación calidad-precio.

This café used to be a nice little gem in town but good food and good prices but slowly over the years the prices have gone sky high and the food gone completely the other way. I went here recently to have an omelette but the menu states they come with chips which being a healthy person, I did not want chips with my omelette. I politely asked the waitress if it was possible to have something in place of the chips or pay less for the omelette on its own. She would not let me do this and I then had to pay over £4 just for an omelette as obviously I didn’t want the chips. That is a ridiculous price for a small omelette. Even the teas are overpriced and bear in mind it isn’t a table service café so the waitresses only really have to stand at the counter and serve / cook. I will return when this café goes back to being the café I once knew a few years back.

I have been here many times for a fair few years now and it has just gotten worse and worse everytime I have eaten here. The location is convenient so I tend to go back thinking it would be better again but every time I am dissapointed now. The price is ridiculous considering the fact it is just a cafe that does barely standard food. The decor needs updating and staff could be a lot more friendly if they are going to charge that much and not bother about the quality of food.

I like this particular cafe, it is central, you can get snacks as well as main meals, there are toilets and the staff are nice. There is art work on the walls you can purchase and it is quiet and peaceful, safe, pleasant and a nice place to be. At christmas they have twinkly lights and a large tree and I have been using this cafe for years and like it very much. It is a nice to go whilst my son is at choir, in particular when he has weddings. I can go and grab a cup of tea and a snack. I know the staff well and they know me and we get on well and they understand my ibs so understand my choice of food. Central and pleasant, you can sit in and out.

Decided to visit Laurielle's for Breakfast with Hubby today to spend some rare quality time together, having never visited Laurielle's before I was unsure what to expect, but I must say I was most definitely pleased with not only the friendly staff, good service and welcoming atmosphere but also the breakfast it was well cooked and very very tasty and the price is also very reasonable for what you receive I will definitely be visiting here again and be recommending to family and friends well done ladies keep it up!!! Xx

I had half hour break in town on saturday and went into the cafe for lunch. The food is good, the staff are nice and the facilities clean.

This cafe is the perfect place to stop for a rest and have some great food. I have eaten here several times for lunches and breakfasts and its been spot on everytime. The food is cooked to order, and each and every time it comes out its spot on. It's also located right next door to Sainsbury's in Folkestone Town Centre so is very handy. Eat there! You wont regret it!!

Best breakfast I've had! Sausages are amazing which is a rarity and everything was cooked freshly! Loved it!

Really lovely place. Wide range of hot and cold food and drinks. Service with a smile, and really tasty, good quality food which is well presented. Very reasonably priced. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
