La Veru Spice in Tandridge

The best Indian restaurant we have ever been to. The food was amazing. The service was exceptional. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Went to La Veru Spice for a meal and when i say it was exceptional and amazing it was. I went with my parents and uncle. I had the butter chicken with coconut rice and peswari naan which was shared between 4 of us, my dad had methi chicken with pilau rice which he said was full of flavour and spices but not too hot, my uncle and mum had prawn korma. In total the bill was around £80 for 4 of us so works out £20 per person thats including 2 cokes. Considering they allow you to bring your own alcohol which they don't charge for glass its not too bad. The food was tasty and hot on arrival. If you want to taste the food properly please go and have a meal in the restaurants, they can't rely on takeaways to keep afloat, its a 50/50 scenario. The staff were friendly and the food were an utter delight. Also compliments to the chef/ owner

it was amazing the food was outstanding the only downside i will say is fusion of italian when we asked they did tell us why they not doing it otherwise indian food was wonderful...

Great atmosphere and friendly staff We couldn't decide what to have for dinner so i offered to get a takeaway. Ordered a chicken korma and Lamb Korma, the staff were brilliant and friendly, the food tasty and had lots of flavour. If you are ever on route through South Godstone and you want to stop for a spontaneous meal please feel free to visit the La Veru Spice also they are soon to be adding Tamza's Bar and Grill. I don't drive so this is by far the cheapest place to go especially when you don't feel like going by car. Excellent flavours spices and tenderised meat that is fresh that will melt in your mouth. Will definitely be booking a table in the future.

Ordered a takeaway for mother's day via Just Eat. They had a 30% off discount. Should have known better. It was honestly the worst takeaway we have ever had. Bland tasting food, the chicken korma and pilau rice completely orange in colour! The rices were all mislabelled. The chicken tikka masala so pale. Tasted absolutely awful, we had to throw it in the bin! Disgusting food, I don't understand how they are operating a business. I've requested a refund from Just Eat! Choose somewhere else!

During our meal the manager asked us if we were local and we told him we were from out of town and just passing by. After paying our bill we realised it seemed a bit higher than expected. I emailed the restaurant the next day to request a receipt which they kindly sent. When we looked carefully we saw that the manager had somehow manged to put the VAT on twice. We emailed for a response three times but had no reply. I eventually had to go through my credit card provider who provided a refunded for us. Disappointing.

Very nice Indian food, 10 out of 10. The staff were attentive and made sure that the order was correct. Soft drinks are available, but you have to bring your own alcoholic drinks.

The restaurant was a bit cold, but the welcome was very warm. We all enjoyed the food and all had very large chicken dishes. The fact that you bring your own alcohol reduces the bill, which was very reasonable.

Place looks terrible outside. Weeds in the car park, unkempt and untidy. Gordy multi coloured lights and ugly plastic furniture and umbrellas. Due to a thread on a local Facebook Group where the awful appearance was the topic the locals where discussing, we decided to try the food and got a take away. The food was bad, burnt and bland, gave me terrible indigestion. To be fair to them, delivery was quick, the onion bhajis and the garlic naan were good. Everything else wasn't.

Ordered from here for first time as live very local to it. Onion bhajee, chicken madras and garlic naan. No complaints. Will order again. Thank you.

What fabulous food! Night out with friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the service was excellent and we had a long chat with the friendly staff afterwards. Be aware that the portions are generous - takeaway containers are supplied for you to take home leftovers, which is great. The restaurant is dry, but they have a licence so are happy for you take your own alcohol. We will definitely be back to work our way through the menu!

Really like this place. Food was spot on tonight. There was a fresh flavour to the cooking which I liked a lot.

Stopped here without much planning after seeing a sign en route to a wedding, and deciding to try it on our way home. Very friendly welcome, lovely family business. Owner kindly showed us around. All food made fresh to order. Special lamb dish prepared at no extra charge, free rice was given as we didn’t order any. Very kind gesture. Things to be aware of, the Italian element of menu isn’t available yet. This is a dry restaurant with no alcohol being served, but owners have a license and are absolutely happy for you to bring your own which is fine. Lovely meal for 2 just over £30. We brought leftovers home! We would like to come back and bring family with us for nice authentic meal and friendly atmosphere. Thank you for having us

Take away was absolutely worth it! So glad they are close by. Food is wonderful and fresh! Staff are also very friendly. Restaurant itself is also really lovely.

Visited for the first time this evening. Friendly family business that could not do enough for us. Added to that the food was excellent. Great flavours and good quality of produce. Will return and suggest you try it as we doubt you will be disappointed.
