Great get together with a great friend menu was great but decided on prawn sandwich with chips and salad x was definitely full x the young lady was great with dog and looked after her as well with water on bar side thanks again will be back soon x

First time here for Sunday lunch. Oh my won't be the last. Fantastic food. Hugh portions served by very professional staff. 10/10.

Nice pub, decent pub food. But our birthday meal was tainted at the end of the evening due to a pricing discrepancy. Sunday 7th we visited at what looked like a good busy service for the pub. Had a good meal and was going to pay. On checking the bill I noticed the price for the Sunday dinners were charged at a pound higher each than on the menu. When queried at the bar with staff I was told. Oh yeah the prices have gone up recently.... now here's the beef (excuse the pun) it's only a pound but when told they wouldn't change the price to that displayed I was utterly surprised. To then be told by the person. I haven't changed it the owners have. Honestly I don't care who's changed it or by how much thats not the issue. Bring your menus upto date or at least tell your punters on arrival of the price needing updating. I WONDER how many unsuspecting customers didn't check or didn't bother during todays service. They must have done a few hundred covers at least. The thing that really got to me was just the pure flat refusal to amend and then to argue the toss with me. On leaving there must have been a fit of conscience and we were given the difference back. But REALLY... not good. For this no tip was left for the staff not at fault. They lost out on £20.

Thank you to all staff at the kayes Arms for looking after 17 of us on boxing day evening. All meals really delicious, all the staff were very polite and accommodating. Changed one order that was not correct, no problem at all. Would definitely recommend to others.

My wife and I booked a table with our friends. Never been here before but were looking for somewhere to go for a Christmas meal. This place was packed, great atmosphere. We were shown to our seats, and not long after someone came to take our drinks order, then not too long afterwards we were ordering our food. Staff very friendly, nothing too much trouble. The food was amazing, it was probably the best Christmas meal we have had in a long time. Cooked to perfection. We started by having two courses, but managed to fit in a desert. We were stuffed. This might be our first visit but it certainly won't be our last. If you want a great night out in ambient surroundings, with amazing service and food you won't be disappointed. I have no hesitation in recommending this place.

This pub/restaurant is just a few miles from where I live,have been previously several times but usually in the evening but this was a mid afternoon visit, we booked a table on line,and arrived a little early but we were seated straight away, meal choice is excellent, good quick service and friendly, highly recommend.

Went here at lunch time .The place was really busy with diners .We had a lovely meal ,and first class service .Staff super friendly and helpful . The food is great value if you have the 2 dine for 19.99, food was tasty , chicken tender , and food lovely and hot .The coffee tasted lovely too . Came to dinner with my friends, two of us had the stake night offer which was perfectly cooked and the hand cooked chips were lush. We had one festive turkey and a sirloin off the festive menu, it was all lovely nobody could fault it. Also the staff were great and friendly it was a pleasant atmosphere.

Main meal was lovely but goodness me what has happened to the desert’s, I had toffee apple crumble it came cold and just mush in the dish. Puddings used to be hot from the Kaye Arms, steamed sponges etc. very disappointed when the young lady mentioned it to Chef he said it’s supposed to be cold. I think it had been pre bought and defrosted for service. The staff and the setting is excellent but be aware of the pudding.

A warm welcome as we entered at 2pm on Saturday. We had not planned to visit and decided to stop as we were travelling from Wakefield to Huddersfield. We had not booked, but this was no problem at all. A friendly atmosphere and excellent quality professional service. Friendly and attentive staff members were a great credit to themselves and to the establishment. Great menu and superb food! We will be back.

A group of 4 on Friday 17th November 2023 (Lunch) plus a group of 5 on Saturday 18th November 2023 (Dinner) enjoyed excellent prepared food where almost all of us had two courses (main + dessert), and all of us totally cleared our plates. The home made meat pies and vegetables, sea bass, coq au vin, liver and bacon all featured and were superb. The home made desserts selected by our group featured sticky toffee pudding, strawberry cheesecake, fruit crumble, and cheese and biscuits - none of us were disppointed. One member enthused about the home made Steak and Ale pie - the best she had ever tasted in an 'english fayre' pub. I should add the Black Sheep bitter greatly assisted our very pleasant visits! Staff were very welcoming and gave very good efficient service. We will be back next year when we travel to Wakefield again.

We recently had lunch here; we'd booked online and hadn't actually visited the place. The photos don't do it justice! It's a really lovely rambling building in a rural location with plenty of space and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu was wide-ranging, including very interesting dishes as well as the staples like fish & chips, and there really was something for everyone. It's very reasonably priced for excellent fare. The staff were friendly and helpful, and really contributed to a lovely occasion! We will be coming here again, and I recommend the Kaye Arms wholeheartedly!

Me and my other half came for Sunday lunch today (4/11/23) and was really pleased with the experience. We had booked for 15.15, and were shown straight to our table on arrival, with drinks being taken promptly. Once we had reviewed the menu, we ordered pate to share for starter, with a chicken dinner & pork dinner for mains - everything was delicious. Pate, a good portion, with a good amount of toast. The side salad and sauce that came with it complimented it very well. For mains, our dinners were great. We had mint & apple sauce with the mains, which came quickly after asking. Pork was juicy and flavoursome, chicken was great too. All the veg was fresh and cooked to liking - especially the roasted carrot and coli cheese. We shared sticky toffee for dessert, and that was also exceptional. 4 of us went to the Kayes last night (4/11/23) and we all chose the steak night offer which is a rump steak, chips mushrooms, tomatoes,onion rings and a large glass of wine each for £40 per couple. The steak was perfectly cooked,tender (in fact you would have thought it was a good fillet steak)! The wine was good quality. My wife chose a salad instead of chips with no quibble. We go regularly to the Kayes and find it always to be a great experience and never had a bad meal. The Sunday lunch is excellent too!!

Had a lovely lunch here with my friend; courteous staff, lots of seating, nicely decorated pub with a good menu choice particularly the 2 dine for £19:99 during the week. We had the chicken burger and chicken sheesh kebab both thoroughly enjoyed it and very generous portions for £10 each; can highly recommend

Excellent food for the price, fish and chips were a great size and the chips where home made. We had a profiterole dessert which was delicious, I was definitely recommended visiting the kaye arms and we didn’t book and they managed to get us a table anyway.
