Had a last drink there on way back home. Good atmosphere

Been going to this pub for 8 years, I’m visibly over 25 and the tall guy with glasses and landlady kicked me out. I funnily enough didn’t have ID as I’m keeping it safe for going to the back tomorrow to buy my first house. I’m covered in tattoos also, which were all visible. The staff had a terrible attitude and refused to refund me for the pint I’d just bought. Terrible pub, me and my friends won’t be returning.

Nice pub, one of those cosy type of pubs. Bit pricey but you can tell that from the outside.

Not a bad place but a bit worrisome when you look at the ceiling. There’s a CCTV camera in every corner. It tells you the type of pub this is. Used their WiFi and it seems like Grindr is blocked. Came out of it and I could message. Again another example of the type of pub they want to promote. Asked if they there was a pub jukebox as the music was quite depressing… alas 90’s emo angst. The bar man got quite upset and someone sitting a the bar told me you could change it if you walk into the bar. Very strange setup for a pub… Nicer more friendly pubs in Mirfield.

I would like to thank the land lady who kindly helped me in a recent collision i had in the centre of Mirfield, She was kind considerate and helpful in a distressful event.

Amazing friendly team manager and daughter was great, remembering us next day in town. Took time to speak to us. Bar staff was excellent. Real ale lovely. Will definitely be back 😄

The service was great. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The landlady kindly waited with my sister until her taxi came so she wasn't on her own. So kind. Thankyou.

Our group only called in for one or two and stayed there 6 hours. This really is an awesome pub, friendly locals, karaoke, good drink deals, outdoor and indoor seating. Just brilliant. Gaynor has done a brilliant job and all the staff are happy, friendly and efficient. Gaynor really grafts in there but also talks to everyone and makes them feel welcome. None of us are from Mirfield but we were made to feel like it could be our local. There's a very varied range of ages too so it clearly has a lot to offer to everyone. I will definitely be back!

This place has a new Manager - Gloria, who is excellent, with her warm friendly staff, who are very efficient I recently started a Social Chess Club for Mirfield on a Thursday at 5 pm and Gloria and her team were so good that evening we will be there permanently on a Thursday The pub has had a complete decor revamp so is extremely tasteful inside Great wine for me and a good choice of drinks I am informed by my friends They do not serve food but you are allowed to bring QUALITY take away foods in Dogs very welcome so fantastic for me as I have a Cockapoo

Large open space pub. Despite the number of people behind the bar only one seemed to be serving, so service was very slow.

A lively Saturday Karaoke evening. Good variety of clientele, decent service, product and value.

Called in for a drink and was given a ticket for a free drink if your number corresponded to the horse that was taking part in a race on the TV. Bonus my horse won.

A dog friendly local pub with lots of seating inside & a number of tables out front. Will be back to try again at a busier time (I needed to pass time at the exact money they opened Saturday afternoon!)

Felt it was a little territorial. You’re welcome as a local but as someone who is wandering by it’s a scary pub. Wish they’d be a little more open minded considering the landlords are a lesbian couple. I come across occasionally and it’s very clicky.

This pub is a typical wet house, lovely decor and staff, no food available good for else where. Lovely staff. And locals. We were down on holiday for the week and remembered us every night. Daughter loved. Being in here, language can be a bit fruity at times but it’s what you get from a drinking pub, cheap priced drinks, highly recommended. Brand new pool table. And lovely dart board, mixed music well worth a visit.

I pop into this place now and again, and it's always welcoming and friendly. They usually serve Landlord and another guest ale or two. It's located next to where a railway line used to run many years ago and reflects on the past with paraphernalia in the pub. Nice place.

... sells average beer, perhaps now the likes of The Black Bull, Wasps Nest etc are no longer its filling a gap in a certain market.

me and my husband went for lunch not a good choice of menu we both had beef burghers they were roar in the middle only us and one other gentle man eating would not ever visit again !

Went in for a nice drink with my friends as I have been here a few times before, I was asked for my ID which I did not bring as I have been served multiple times before. Made to feel very uncomfortable and separated from my friends and not even allowed to sit in the pool room with the rest of my friends. Made to feel like a child and embarrassed which I should not have.

I mostly come here to play Uno...

Went for lunch with my wife. There was only 3 other people who ordered food still took 40mins to come. Paid for a portion of chips what a rip off! Got about 10 chips and they were under cooked. Bar staff were more interested in having shots with another customer than serving us it was only 1pm so god knows what they would have been like in the evening. Definitely won't be going again.

An old proper pub but modernised tastefully, still retaining all it's character. Serving excellent reasonably priced traditional pub fare

Friendly staff clean and a great juke box. Ale is good also and a very nice selection of wines.

Ate here whilst on the Ale Trail. We had the steak pie and sausage and mash. All food was tasty and piping hot. The extra jug of gravy was a nice touch. Portions were decent, prices were very reasonable. A good little find.

Excellent drinks, cozy fireplace, wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. The owners are lovely. And it’s dog friendly! Well worth a visit!

Visited today for lunch with a friend to be served the worst tasting food I have ever experienced we had a the sharing platter which was served on cold plates the chicken was bland and flavourless meat balls too hard to put a fork through cold garlic bread potato skins that were cold when we complained because the food was so bad the manager told us to pay our bill & leave avoid this place if you want nice food & nice staff

Llamé para almorzar con un amigo hoy y fue una vez más muy impresionados con la comida y el servicio. El dueño y chef fue muy educado y amable sin ser demasiado. La comida estaba bien preparado y raciones eran impresionantes, ya era el precio. Sin duda vale la pena una visita al estar en la zona. Debe ser uno de los mejores restaurantes de relación calidad-precio de la zona. Sin duda volveremos otra vez. Comidas de jubilados también están disponibles, y una vez más el tamaño de la porción es increíble. En general, un restaurante no hay que perderse.

A vast improvement on the "old" Railway. The food is interesting with a good range of meals all superbly cooked.

Fuimos para una bebida habitual catchups/ de comida y discusión que no con un grupo estoy parte de, ir a varios sitios donde comer en Yorkshire principalmente. Para noviembre fuimos a Mirfield y el Stag blanco. Tuve el queso de la coliflor (paté, creo que era). Todo lo que puedo decir es que fue excepcional.fue una comida de calidad por sobre la cantidad pero si lo que quieres es lo mejor de ambos también tienen las comodidades de un hogar, tales como las tartas que eran enormes. Me impresionó mucho y no dudaría en recomendar

Tuvimos una comida de domingo en la estación (White Stag) hoy en día. Toda la comida estaba bien presentada y muy bueno. El servicio era excelente, y venía con una sonrisa. Dos de nosotros tuvimos la gambas y cangrejos cóctel como aperitivo que venía servido en una tabla con tres grandes gambas de tigre y el cangrejo en una mayonesa picante. Para los platos principales que tuvimos el confite de pato, pastel de carne y patatas, y la carne asada. Vinieron todos con un montón de verduras y era excelente. Dos de nosotros tuvimos pudding, chocolate brownie y Apple crumble, y esto también fue muy bueno. Sin duda volvería de nuevo y sin duda lo recomendaría.

Esta era la segunda vez que nos habían, el primero fue cuando se acababa de abrir y la comida era muy buena y sí, era un pub gastrointestinal. que ha cambiado de manos, y la comida ha cambiado y yo no diría que fue un "gastrointestinal pub" más, la comida está muy buena "pub grub", el personal muy agradable y servicial, aún creo que el vino debería ser más barato, £15.00 una botella de vino de la casa, está en la parte superior de un pub.

La comida era muy sabrosa y cocinado perfecto. Sin embargo era decepcionante que sólo patatas fritas con verduras bistec creo que habrá de incluirse sobre todo teniendo en cuenta la.pollo de precio era muy agradable y este no incluyen las verduras. Esperamos aproximadamente una hora para nuestra comida pero este estaba bien porque de la atmósfera agradable, la comida era fresca. Todas las cosas consideradas volveríamos.

Nos van a pubs o restaurantes con diferentes expectativas. Si buscas una buena comida que está bien preparada y presentada con cuidado combinado con un buen servicio y luego probar el White soltero.

always known it was there, but went in, on the offchance as everywere was full-- got the most friendliest welcome,made us feel like royalty, but also extremely professional efficient service, the food was amazing, very tasty,well presented, compliments to the chef, and wasnt as expensive as i assumed.-- sat next to a warm log fire,comfortable seating, interesting decor, in keeping with traditional style with wooden beer barrel buffets. loved it,-- would have stayed longer as the cocktails looked very tempting.

Estoy absolutamente adictos a este lugar. Si lo que quieres es perfecta (comida, gran servicio e incluso mejores bebidas (gaseosas and Elderflower mi elección personal - para morirse ... ) entonces debes visitar aquí.

excelente comida poco distinto a "comida de pub" pero realmente bueno y los precios son muy razonables. El bar tiene cervezas geniales y también sirven cócteles , no probé como nos lo pasamos muy bien vino con la cena pero tenían una pinta estupenda y el bar estaba muy animado ambiente bueno esto/ restaurante y servicio excelente pub .

Al principio fuimos al White soltero en una sala social vale y juro volver a probar su menú a la carta, así que me quedé asombrado. Yo tenía el pato y mi compañero bife. Ambos cocinado a la perfección y la salsa peppercorn con el bistec a la derecha a descansar. El Pear flan de postre fue la guinda del pastel.

After reading the reviews i was looking forward to my sunday lunch here we ordered the prawn mousse and a garden terrine both of which were bland and unimpressive we then had the lamb which was mostly fat, yorkshire puddings were below par all in all very disappointed.The staff seemed nice but the service was very slow....wont be going back ...chef needs to have a meal at the travellers rest in hopton to see how it should be done
