I always use the drive thru and tbh getting a bit fed up of the doorbell drive through system that you have to struggle to reach, I went today and asked for a white hot chocolate and was given a coffee I don't drink coffee which was annoying and my money and the coffee just went to waste

I’m so impressed about the customer services in here, staff are ALL lovely and friendly. And the seating area is cozy, and food is yummy. I recommend the matcha vanilla for drink 😍.

Lovely coffee with fast and polite service. Doughnut was excellent and worth a trip for that alone. Huge free car park.

I don’t know how coffee boy has bad reviews . I never leave a review for anything but I feel like I have to ! I live in London and when I come back to Huddersfield to See my family the only place I’m excited to Go is Coffee boy . It’s by far the best coffee in Hudds / yorks . I have tried everywhere ! They are also super kind to my little Pomeranian in there . They have unreal donuts and naughty treats for when I’m on a cheat day . After the gym they have protein shakes . Scramble egg for breakfast . In a big bright , lots of natural light space , great space for laptop work . With kind friendly staff . And big free car park . What more can someone want ? Some proper weird haters online seriously ! 10/10. I go there everyday while I’m up north .

Come here for coffee on my work break. Won't be returning anymore never any smiles from the staff that work there and always long wait times just to have my latte milk burnt.

I love the coffee from this place, so whenever I am in Huddersfield, I always pay a visit to the drive through. My favourite is an iced vanilla latte, fantastic drink and great service!

The last few times I have been to this Coffee Boy the service has been average but generally I haven't minded because it has a drive through, it's not far from my home so is convenient and I like the coffee. On Saturday morning I went through the drive through and ordered a salmon and cream cheese bagel with a large iced latte. I paid at the hatch (I wasn't told the price) and I received my drink and bagel. When I was given my drink the straw wasn't long enough because the lid was a domed one (which are usually used when you have cream on your drink which I didn't). I asked for a longer straw and the member of staff gave me another of the same length (see reference photo). I'm not sure how you are expected to drink a coffee if the straw isn't poking out of the top of the drink. Therefore I parked up so I could remove the lid and have my drink and eat my bagel. There was no salmon on the bagel. I went in the store and the girl behind the till said I can't help you as I've just started work. The male staff member wearing the headset then turned round and said you didn't want salmon. I obviously corrected him and he said well I couldn't hear you and I didn't charge you for it. He probably didn't hear me because the intercom system doesn't work very well and is a doorbell which you ring for their attention which obviously isn't great and kind of ridiculous for a drive through establishment (see reference photo from last time I visited and the doorbell didn't work properly but I decided against reviewing). I was then charged for the missing salmon and waited for it to be added to my bagel. The whole experience was so average and just not ideal. I also felt that the male staff member on the headset was quite rude, I obviously wouldn't have come inside to ask about my missing salmon if I hadn't ordered it. I just think the service could be better and that the coffee should come with a flat lid and a straw long enough so that you can drink it whilst driving.

Quite a nice place to sit and people whatch. Large open space with large windows. Good free parking, food expensive and limited but acceptable. Coffee nice and quick friendly service x

Needs air conditioning or turning on, it was like a greenhouse and really put us off returning, if it gets sorted then yes nice place.

Awful experience terrible attitude from team members all round. Toilets are a disgrace never had a deep clean. Brown stains obviously been there months I did complain but the manager seemed to think it was a joke. No cleaning rota in place no cleaner either ! Team members do it themselves well it’s not working is it? Your so called team doing zero work should be more productive and professional as all the customers can see you doing nothing when the front of house is mess and the men’s toilet is a disgrace ! Shame good location

It's OK, but no more than that. Massive occupancy area offers huge potential but instead, approx' a dozen tables and comfy chairs/sofas. These are invariably quickly snapped up leaving you the option of uncomfortable booths or long benches - there to accommodate Remote workers... who, more often than not, have snaffled one of the aforementioned sofas! 😤 - and perched on an uncomfortable stool 🙆. The same ineffective use of space seems to apply to the service areas (and I worked for many years in the International Hospitality Industry, so I have some idea of what I'm talking about). The coffee itself is not to my taste but I appreciate that this is just a matter of personal preference and not a reflection on them nor their product. Finally, I know cake is obligatory with coffee! 😂 Still, the display fridge, while heavy on the gloopy Brownies and stodgy cakes, etc. is light on options for people who want a treat but want to avoid colossal calorie intake. I'd suggest some exploration of alternatives to sugar and plain flour and introduce AND PROMOTE these items. There exists a substantial market for such. To sum up, the whole is merely adequate. The ill-utilised volume of space causes a cold, impersonal feeling, where you can drink passable coffee, sat in an uncomfortable position and fancying a slice of Maltloaf 😕

Staff are very welcoming, We had coffee and a sandwich, and they were well priced and tasty. Will call again

My first visit to Coffee Boy. Really enjoyed the coffee and the service. Atmosphere is really relaxed. And the doughnuts are really something else. Imagine a Starbucks with more emphasis on supporting a great local business and less on funding a money hungry foreign corporation.

Convenient location to the gym, big and bright. Why you have to wait 10 minutes for a black coffee when there are 5 staff I don’t know. Nice kids and the ones who engage with you are polite.

An independent coffee house within an all glass construction with seating from tall stools to sofas around a coffee table. Feels airy, well lit with natural sunlight and relaxing. Outside is a large free car park. Food and drink is similar to the likes of Costa and Starbucks but there is also pizza. Prices and quality are similar to other coffee establishment.

My first time in this chain of coffee shops. It was a very spacious car park with an easily accessible entrance (wheel chair freindly) The service was good, friendly and quick. The brownies are yummy and I would recommend them, the coffee was nice and had a good full flavour.

Been coming to Huddersfield coffee boy for over a year now & we drop in pretty much every week. Best coffee around beats costa or starbucks any day & the reason for returning is cause of the coffee but not only that the food is Really nice Great ambience! Could do with the heating on abit more in these colder months but Got nothing to complain about staff are always friendly & helpful!

Great service. Light and airy. Coffee, tea and cakes fine. Just one niggle, it was quite cold Warmer outside on a cold day! Hopefully this is a one off, as I enjoy this place and would recommend ( if not as chilly!)

Nice cafe, nice staff. Went to work there following other reviews. It was quite noisy with echo, and no power sockets to be seen, so have a fully charged battery!

I found the coffee shop to be a very nice relaxed place, it clean and tidy with very good service. The coffeeboy doughnuts are excellent and fresh. Over all I found this a pleasant experience and would call again.

Opening hours on google said 5:30 close so travelled to meet friends, but note by the till said 4pm close. Bit late advertising it at the till point!! Staff looked miserable too

Started grabbing coffee here after boycotting Starbucks, and honestly the coffee and food is sooo much better!

I waited 25 minutes for a thin crust pepperoni pizza that i paid 7 pounds for, They offered me a free drink for the wait and when the pizza arrived it was cheese and pepperoni on a tortilla wrap. Disgraceful quality and covered in grease .

Had a light breakfast (scrambled eggs on toast), tasty.

Place is nice, with a decent number of parking spots. No problems with the service which is kind, but the choice of food if you're there for lunch/dinner is not very big. They've anyway sandwiches, wraps and a good variety of sweets as well.

Staff are very friendly and will bring your coffee to your table. Which is a big help when you are trying to negotiate around a table with walking sticks.

Had a bit of time to kill so I called in for a coffee, card payment only, big mistake with the older generation, coffee mediocre, but the worst thing was sat at a table that needed a wipe plus the previous occupants stirrer removing, girl brought my coffee without a saucer and ignored the table completely, so never again for me, shocking. I've been a loyal customer of Coffee Boy for quite some time, but my recent visit on August 25th left me deeply disappointed. I came in with my colleague as usual, looking forward to a pleasant coffee break. However, what I witnessed was nothing short of a hygiene nightmare. A customer entered the establishment with their unleashed dog, which immediately raised concerns for me. What shocked me even more was that some of the staff members started petting the dog with their bare hands, allowing it to lick them, and then proceeded to serve food and coffee without washing their hands. This is an utterly unacceptable and unsanitary practice. The lack of proper hygiene standards in an establishment that serves food and beverages is concerning, to say the least. I was left feeling disgusted and uncomfortable, and as a result, I couldn't bring myself to eat any of the snacks provided. This experience has shattered my trust in Coffee Boy, and I regret to say that I won't be returning. I believe it's essential for places that serve food and beverages to maintain strict hygiene practices for the safety and well-being of their customers. Allowing pets inside, especially without proper control and hygiene measures, is a serious oversight. In light of this experience, I can't recommend Coffee Boy to others, and I hope the management takes immediate action to address these hygiene concerns.

Great pit stop on the way into Huddersfield for work! Staff were really friendly and service was quick. Apologies, no pics (3hr drive!) but the teacake donut was absolutely delicious 🥰 Looking forward to my next trip through Huddersfield now!

Most importantly the coffee is good. And even though I didnt eat there the food did look great, however the few times I have been the drive through is not operational and the service is very slow. I stood waiting to be served for just short of 5 minutes while watching 3 staff members cook one pizza. This could be a very good place to go for your coffee break if only the staff were a bit more aware.

Bought 2 lattes both were too cold,then purchased 2 more and mentioned that the 1st order was cold, the second order was then delivered to the table and declared "extra hot"ie ruined So basically a nicely decorated coffee shop that seems incapable of serving coffee at the correct temperature

I’m not happy because I come here about 3x a week with all my work colleagues and last time I came a couple of people sat on the table near me with some hugs dogs, when the workers were serving they’d pet the dogs and touch them then with the same hands make other peoples coffee, this is really unsanitary and will not be returning, my colleagues are also very disappointed.

They get the order wrong 80% of the time. Could be dangerous for people with allergies

I love a Do Boy donut but usually get them in Leeds or Wakefield. They are always fabulous if you’re into sickly donuts 🍩 Today both the donuts we bought- the lemon cheesecake and the Biscoff were clearly yesterday’s stock. The dough was drier and bready and for £7 we felt completely ripped off.

Really nice but can get very busy and then feels cramped as tables and benches close together.

My Email to Coffee Boy. Good Afternoon. I am making a complaint about the service that i have received from your Huddersfield Coffee Boy shop; the circumstances are as follows: Approximately, 15:45 hours today, i attended and ordered a white mocha and a cappocino and made payment with a card. The staff member was a lady. We took a seat and awaited our drinks. Having waited for 15 minutes, i approached the counter to enquire why our drinks had not been served. There were 5 lady staff members present and having observed the coffee machine i realised that there were no drinks being prepared. I said to one of the lady staff member, ‘I ordered 2 drinks 15 minutes ago, but have not received them’ She responded, ‘Did you order them on the App?’ I stated, ‘No, i ordered them here at the counter’ The staff member then approached her 4 colleagues, one of whom informed her that she had taken my order. At this point, the staff member said, ‘It will only take 2 minutes’ I replied, ‘I have already waited 15 minutes, and had i not approached you, i would still be waiting, i do not want the drinks as i have commitments, and wish a refund.’ The staff member proceeded to check the tablet where the transactions are registered and stated the refund had been issued. I asked for a receipt as proof of the refund, but she stated a receipt could not be provided. My complaint is not only that my order had not been served, it is also that had i not approached the counter, we would have continued to wait. Additonally, no apology was offered, which is unacceptable and a receipt has not been offered as proof of a refund, which means that i will need to check my bank statement to ensure the refund has been issued. All of the above, is a lot of hassle for 2 drinks at a coffee shop! I await your response.

I never heard or seen anywhere in any respectable coffee shop in the UK that I have to order before sitting in. I am an engineer and working for one biggest construction company in the world and I only working remotely. I work sometimes at coffee shops. In Costa or Starbucks I always sit at the table and prepare my laptop and even do some urgent work before I stand up to order and no one came to me and nagging me rudely to make an order but on 28th of April I was late for an online meeting with my manager and work colleagues and I just after 5 minutes the waitress kept nagging me to order before sitting. it was obvious I was having a meeting with my headset over my head. She couldn't wait till at least finish my meeting. I had to interrupt the meeting and literally I just said that was rude and that was enough to be asked to leave the shop. I was so upset of the way I have been treated. I don't have any reason rather than they only want certain race and skin colour there. I have heart problems and I felt very bad and I had to stay in my car for a long time to calm down. I reported to the police the incident and I wrote an explanatory email to the coffee shop website long time ago but they obviously don't bother to respond. I don't recommend that racist and rude coffee shop.

Big, spacious indoors and outdoors tables and chairs. Inside tables and chairs modern and comfortable. Nice coffee, and a big selection choice of food and cakes. ( cakes were the biggest i have ever seen in a coffee / cafe shop - if you are on a diet this is not the place for you 🤣😂). Service quick, drinks brought to table. Tables cleaned as soon as customers leave👍👌

Great spot for getting out the house and doing some work or having a nice relaxing lunch break. A lot calmer than Costa, cafe Nero and Starbucks and much better quality food and drink

Don’t go here if you have any kind of illness. My friend who is diabetic had a hypo and went in to rest they accused them of being drunk even though they tried to explain through a hypo that they weren’t drunk and were in fact in need of a rest and some sugar. Coffee boy KICKED THEM OUT. Absolutely wild! The fact that they just kicked someone out when they needed help wether hypo or drunk or whatever speaks volumes about this establishment.

Been a couple of times now. Large airy building with what I think are comfortable seats. Good range of coffee cup sizes served at the strength & temperature you want. Coffee is good & we found the service to be excellent. I think a lot of people use the place as an office, sitting over a cup of coffee for many hours working on their laptop. Parking is excellent. They do light snacks & the like & we'll be trying these upon our return.

Wanted to get a full meal and drinks but don't take cash at all. Card only! Beware!

Great food. Exceptional service. Lovely, welcoming atmosphere.

I come here quite often with friends because the coffee and cakes are good and parking is easy. Sometimes the service leaves a bit to be desired but I have realised that it’s fine if one particular person is working. She clears the tables immediately, serves the coffee with a smile and is generally very efficient. Apparently she’s called Corrina and if she was working every time we go I’d give Coffeeboy five stars. Brownies and donuts are amazing.

You can grab a giant donut, a smoothie or even a pizza. There's free WiFi and a lovely atmosphere.

I am a customer, I have been to Coffee Boy Huddersfield on Friday, 27 Jan 2023 around 5.20pm. I ordered soup and hot chocolate. Cannot order anything else as the staffs have already turned off the oven. The soup came without a bun which should be included and it was written on the menu. I waited at the till to get someone to ask about the bun. No one there until I went inside the kitchen area and found a young girl playing with her phone and tried to hide to avoid me. I asked if I can get something else to eat with the soup but she said there's nothing as they have already turned off the oven. I said I have paid in full, she said the price are same with or without the bun. I was very disappointed. The young girl not even trying to help me. I am a regular customer, I come to Coffee Boy most of the time after exercise at TruGym across the road. Bad service Coffee Boy Huddersfield! Won't come again next time if staff not appreciates customer like this!

Lovely little coffee shop. The food they have is tasty and mostly healthy. We went during the Christmas holidays, and they made a lot of effort into making it look and feel welcoming and festive. A simple moment, but a cup of coffee in the rain with the Christmas decorations was blissful. We always pop through after visiting the in laws. The staff are great, service relatively quick, food is fresh and it’s doggo friendly!

I am a tea drinker, & tea here is usually better than most coffee shops. However, as it is basically a glass box, in summer, you can't escape the heat/glare & when I visited yesterday (December)it was like an ice box. The leather seats are freezing, & waitress said it would heat up once heating got going .They had been open a few hours_ when do they put the heating on? The place was half empty with all customers still wearing coats/scarves/gloves. We had drinks & stayed an hour but felt too cold to stay & eat. Most of customers were leaving- at 12.30! wont star open much longer if cant afford to heat the place.Shame!

Regularly visit here and it has got progressively worse. Last visit I complained about a cold coffee and was told thats how they are now. So I asked why my wife's was hot. Was told it shouldn't be that hot but they refused to renew either cup or apologise.
