Kaspas in Ashford

Slightly slow on service. Got forgotten on a round of soft drinks, had to keep chasing them up. Pleasant discussion with duty manager. Was offered a reduction in price which I declined as, All in All a great experience.

Couldn’t see anywhere to book a table on the website so just turned up, despite there being tables available the young man at the front said it would be a 40 min wait for food.We decided we could wait as we had promised the kids whatever dessert they wanted as a special treat. Sat down to be told we had to order at the counter but wait for 40 mins first, I was shocked as I had presumed that if we ordered the food MAY come sooner not realising there wasn’t table service.We was at a table for 12+ people but was only 5 of us, looked around and it was only half full, most tables had only 2 people but yet still a 40 min wait FOR ICE-CREAM!!! How long does it take to scoop ice cream?! Imagine if they actually had cooked food how slow they would be. God knows if this place was full how long it would take. I can only imagine there is no experienced managers working there coupled with not enough staff / lack of direction for staff. We ended up leaving as we realised waiting 40 mins before even being allowed to order would likely mean 1 hours wait for ice cream which just wasn’t worth it. Get some decent managers, some staff with quicker arms and that are competent and dishing up some ice cream!

We went in to eat in the restaurant and they said we had to wear masks to be seated then we could take it off. Was so excited but such a shame would not come back

We ordered one crepe and one waffle. We received two waffles. When i apologeticaly approached waitress and told her she was offensive In a way I have never experienced In any customer service. She claimed my boyfriend pointed on the waffle when ordering. But that was for the waffle for him. After quite long emotional monolog she had about it that “no, no, he pointed at this!” (Even If he Definitely said crepe) she finally agreed to bring the crepe instead.After being served and not apologized to whatsover ... nobody came to see If all is Ok. That is a shame because I would say some feedback here is needed. Both waffle and crepe tasted like bubble gum. It felt hard to chew and not fresh at all. It had taste as those ready packed crepes from tesco.

A great visit again today. Rather naughty treat but don’t do it very often. I believe there wasn’t any of us at the table too worried about how many calories we consumed .Was quite busy but we was seated rather promptly. Was clean throughout. The only site snag was we had vouchers for our Christmas present so was unable to use the app to purchase our order through which means we are unable to collect our loyalty points. Rather annoying that you can’t add them on. Also we had to wait a further half hour after receiving our drinks before the waffles & crepes came out. We will be returning again at some point throughout the year.

We had never been to Kaspas before. We stopped in tonight and ordered the warm brownie dough topped with ice cream and whipped cream. It was delicious. Portions were bigger than we thought. Staff were great and patiently fielded our newbie questions. I think I may have gained a few pounds before we left lol.

While the desserts are tasty, they are always luke warm at best. My husband ordered hot apple pie and custard, both came out stone cold so sent back. Waffles were barely warm. Youngest sons ice cream came without the toppings we paid for. Coffees were luke warm. When the bill for a family is £45 for drinks and desserts, it’s not cheap. There were only about three other tables with customers so it wasn’t due to being busy. We won’t be back.

We went here on a weekday evening for desert for the first time tonight and was really impressed with the quality and quantity.

Customer service not the best. Our order took really long to get to us, when it did it was wrong. When the correct order made it to our table it was disappointing to say the least.

Whilst sat waiting to order a whole cup of sugar was thrown over the stall and all over my husband. This cup of sugar was thrown by a member of staff, we did not at the time relies it was thrown by a staff member at the time. When I questioned another member of staff he pointed out the employee who threw it. Absolutely appalling. I have sent two emails of complaint. Neither of which have been answered. I said something on the day only for the employee to laugh and say he would check the cctv as he thought it would be funny.

When its busy give yourself some time.. The place is bright and colourful. There is not a lot of space at the booths for people to sit if you are a tad larger.There is so much to choose from .. the waffle is huge, so make sure you have plenty of space :) We had a crepe, waffle, sundae and cookie dough at out table .. it was amazing. Its not cheap .. so save some money and ask for tap water.There is space for wheelchairs and if you have sight or mobility problems a street level loo and seats, otherwise its downstairs.Will be back though

Having had dinner out we decided to go to Kaspas to have desserts. Not the first time of visiting as had good food and service so decided to go back as you do. 1st off Very busy when we walked in but we were catered for by the helpful staff. They run a booking system when it’s busy as you cannot pre book tables which I think is good. Very simple setup but worked. The usual few had a bit of a moan because the couldn’t wait 10mins to be seated but when your busy you get this I guess. Once seated staff were helpful and always smiling and a good atmosphere all round. Spent £40 on desserts which I think is good value considering portion size. Again food was fresh well presented and tasted great...and what more always looks like the photo on the menu which is a bonus. Ate then sat and chatted without feeling pressured to move as busy. Will be going back.

Attempted to go for a sweet snack at 8pm to arrive and find they had closed already even tho advertised on their Facebook and website that they are open until 9pm this isn’t the first time I’ve had this happen either food is normally lovely but if you advertise your opening hours you should stick to them

First impressions are good, lots of choice, delicious milkshakes, waffles not as fresh as I'd of thought they would be! Lots of seating, but we didn't visit during peak times. Cookie dough deserts good, scooped ice cream a bit of a disappointment and a little on the expensive side! Staff friendly and helpful, but a lot stood around having a chit chat! Not a problem as it wasn't too busy! Enjoyable, will return, just not regularly.

Visited for the second time today, at 11am so it wasnt busy. But I'm sure the waffles my friend and I had were pre-made, they definitely were not cooked fresh as they appeared in about 5 minutes of ordering and they tasted almost stale and were very cold to eat. We left quite a bit and that never happens! A very disappointing visit.

We took my niece for her birthday with 2 friends. Lots of fabulous desserts to choose from. They even do just a plain whippy ice cream to take away which I now have to try to resist when I shop in Ashford.

Three adults and three children invaded for waffles, chocolate, caramel, strawberries, fudge, sweets, sprinkle's and ice cream. We conquered. Deliciously enjoyable.

Well priced for quantity of desert. Waffle first visit and Banana split and then hot chocolate on return. Well presented and friendly staff. Clean modern and young vibrant atmosphere..fun place to eat or just have a coffee. Will also be using this as my coffee shop from now on. If you can’t finish grab a doggy bag and take home

There is a lot of seating in this Kaspas so I'm guessing it could be a long wait at a busy time but there were not many patrons on our visit.

Three of us went here on Wednesday lunchtime. We placed our order and after a short wait I was told there was no Pecan pie left which is what I had ordered. So I chose the Carrot cake with cream.

You close at 9 but after 8.30 only allowed a takeaway! Maybe this should be stated .... arrived as a family after cinema and turned away because we didn’t want a takeaway! What a disappointment! And what makes it worse is that all the staff were just standing around having a chit chat! Won’t bother again!

Nice surroundings, staff were pleasant, good range of menu items. I think particularly the sundaes are quite expensive for what you actually get, but the desserts were very nice.

Myself, husband and 3 sons (eldest 12) visited during the Easter hols. We loved it. I had a delicious banana and peanut butter waffle and my boys were very happy with their various waffles. We recived fantastic service and good food and will definitely return. The coffee is nice too.

Visited the Ashford venue with friends. Really warm welcome and service from Rebecca. Loved her customer service skills as you'll see I travel all over the world. The food was freshly prepared and flavoursome. Good. No, EXCELLENT cookie dough. Also a good selection of drinks. Was so happy have now recommended to my mum and aunt. See you again soon.

Took the family here as a spur of the moment decision after Sunday dinner one afternoon. There is a great range of desserts on offer to suit all palettes. Base prices are reasonable but extra toppings and drinks can soon turn a pricey affair for the average family of five.

Went on a Saturday so knew it would be busy and lots of children, this wasn't the issue.

Great choice of deserts and even some hot traditional ones. It is a little over priced for the food you get and the service isn’t that quick.

After a bad experience a few months ago, I returned as part of a group of 6. The staff are young but polite and the service was good. All of the group were happy with their order. Huuuuge portion sizes - be aware if you are diabetic or trying to watch your portion size. The hot puddings can be shared by 2 . Clean toilets. Reasonably priced.

Can’t fault the food. Biggest problem is what to choose. Waffles, pancakes, cookie dough or ice cream. If your clever, you’ll all choose something different and share . I can imagine when they are busy the waiting times might be a negative, but if you go with that expectation you won’t be disappointed. All in all we all thoroughly enjoyed. Be prepared for very over active children following the sugar rush.

We entered the store at 6:30pm to then be greeted at 6:35pm. We went to order our two desserts and milkshakes which was ordered at 6:40pm. Even though we ordered together we didn't get our food together. But when we both finally got our food it was 7:00pm. The food is really great but the service is really bad because they'd rather stand there and have a chat with each other. I think the managers should re-train there employees to be more customer focused than social life focused.

First time going to the Ashford branch and really impressed with the service and cleanliness. Much larger and better designed than the one in Canterbury which is always chaotic. Here we (me and my 2 sons) were seated straight away and after a short queue to order, our food arrived 15mins later - not bad given it was half term and about half the tables were taken.

Me and my associate visited this restaurant to indulge in some sweet treats and to try the milk.

Myself and 3 friends went to kaspas a few weeks back and I’ve been meaning to write this ever since as we had such a great time! It was a busy Friday evening and we were greeted by a welcoming member of staff who informed us of a small wait for our food, absolutely fine, it’s a Friday of course. Well it was well worth the wait! At the till we were served by Ben, who was very helpful, as it was our first time visiting we had lots of questions as one of our party has strict dietary requirements, he was very good in helping us choose what she could and couldn’t have. After choosing and waiting, Ben delivered our food he made a point of making sure the food was exactly what we ordered and that we were happy with everything. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively and the staff on shift were outstanding especially Ben for helping us with all our crazy questions he is a credit to your team! Thank you so much Kapas Ashford, we will be back!

We visited a couple weeks after Kaspas first opened and it was very unorganised. Food was brought at different times, the waiter who brought the food to the table didn't know what he was serving - it was clearly having some teething issues.

Have been twice. First time not long after it opened, we were seated fast and served at our table, food came quick, and it was amazing. Went just before Christmas, seated quick but now to have to order at the till, which again was fine. Food came quick but was barely warm. Didn’t have time to send it back but would if it happens again. Desserts are amazing and portions huge. They do need to have a kids menu though, with smaller portions at lower prices.

Visited as a family of 4, was seated quickly but when I went to place my order I waited at the till for 5 minutes while the staff stood having a chat ignoring me.

Came with disabled mother had to wait outside in cold for a ramp whilst staff chatted . We seated ourselves im empty resturant only to be asked to move into corner . When ordering Ben was rude and very flipant . Wont bother coming to this branch again . SUCH A SHAME

I love this place. We each ordered different waffles & tried a piece of each other’s. They were amazing, so light & fluffy. I think my favourite was the banoffi one but I’m going to have to go back to check

Thought we would try the new desert parlour. The selection of desserts was excellent. We were there at 3.30 Saturday and the place was extremely busy (good sign) but found the table space small for 6 people in a booth. I think table service would be better than going up to pay. The first mistake was 3 regular cokes (not diet) then we were offered two additional waters (which we had already been served). My milkshake did not arrive as part of the drinks so we had t chase as well as the food (2 sundaes a crepe and 3 waffles) which took 45mins to arrive and the white Chico berry had no berry sauce in it. The sundaes also arrive later about 1 hour and the hot fudge sauce had no Caramel pieces in it. The food was excellent (recommend the banoffee Nutella waffle) and the bubblegum milkshake was the best I’ve had in the UK and actual work ice cream but lacked the streaks of sauce in the glass (a small detail but shown in the menu pic). We saw about 5+ members of staff all waiting for orders with no food so I guess there is teething problems with the process and a shame as not a place to go for a quick snack/meal if the total wait is over an hour. Let’s hope the process improves as the food was great and the staff friendly.

Blows Cremes and just desserts out of the water!!! Took both my little sisters and they loved it. Great value for money, especially with the portion sizes and if you can't finish it the staff are more than happy to provide you with takeaway options so you can enjoy it again at home. We loved the place, will certainly be a monthly treat for them!

Went in to try out the new place with my son. On getting there, it was quite busy so we decided to get takeaway instead. An ice cream and a drink- 30 minutes wait!!!

7 kids aged from 4 to 12 and 2 adults.

We have visited Kaspas twice now and have been really impressed with the food and service. Friendly and helpful staff guided us through how to order. The food all came along at the same time and was really tasty - the waffles are light and tasty. We will definitely return for more

The place is clean and the staff are all good. I was just a bit underwhelmed with the waffles. I would recommend a waffle with custard as this seems the best way to prevent a dry waffle. Maybe I'll try a crepe or just an ice cream next time.

Thought we try this ice cream place out , served ok ,ice cream dish good ,very noisy music and over hyper sugar fuelled children running around and around screaming, I am not old and have kids myself, but is this a kids play area or some kind of eatery! all this 9 o'clock on a Monday evening.I came I saw , don't think I'll bother again .

Didn't think it would be as busy as it was for a Sunday, but there was a que to be seated. Although it was just my boyfriend and I, we had to wait longer than other groups who came in after us.

Ideal place for desert or waffles. I think it's going to be really popular. Well staffed and lots of seating. Could change the colour temperature of the bulbs. It's a bit white out in there.
