Ivy's Of Hythe in Shepway

We were a party of 6 for Christmas dinner. We had generous and tasty cocktails to start. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Iced water arrived without us having to ask. The staff checked with us before serving each course. The food was plentiful and delicious. We all went traditional: prawn cocktails followed by turkey. Everything was perfectly cooked. Puddings were great too - Christmas puddings and cheese cakes. Highly recommend.

So this our third time here, and once again it didn’t disappoint! It’s dog friendly, and has a great atmosphere. The food is at an excellent level, and their coffee is simply the best. Today, as before, we were attended to by Lucas. A friendly, welcoming, and professional individual. The whole experience was a joy, and if you do happen to find yourself walking through the High Street, Hythe. Pop into number 17-19. It’s an experience you won’t regret. Try the Cheese steak Ciabatta, but if you’re going for the fries, one will be sufficient for two people. Enjoy.

Stumbled across this amazing restaurant today, I just can’t believe I’ve never come across it before,as I’m in Hythe frequently. The staff were very attentive,the food & choices were fantastic. The outside space was stunning too,a real Secret garden. I will definitely be returning, think we will try breakfast next time. 5* all the way

Had dinner here with my friend last week. Decor and menu choices are great. Sadly the downfall is the service. 45-50 minute wait for food with no apologies or explanations given. Then when our food arrived they forgot some of our order. The waiter then asked if we still wanted it, if we didn’t want it we wouldn’t have ordered it. When it did arrive we had finished our food. There was no offer of the side dish being on the house as an apology or accountability in their behalf. Such a shame because the food we did eat was tasty. Service added to bill which we shouldn’t have paid. If I do go back I hope we won’t have the same issues

Amazing food would 100% recommend Best food I have had from a restaurant in ages . The staff were great and the food was truly amazing we had pancakes, a jacket potato , and a ceaser salad . We also had an iced coffee , Pumpkin spice latte and more . The whole restaurant was beautiful and clean I absolutely loved the decor !!! Would definitely come back x

River is absolutely awesome what a breath of fresh air !!!! She is so kind and sweet first I was greeted with such a big smile and a welcome She was attentive to both our needs as I’m quite a picky eater ahah she is a true credit to this establishment thank you for your service I highly recommend going here especially if river is serving !!!!

Great quality food & drinks. Really tasty! Good portions & great value for money. Nice gentle friendly layed back atmosphere. Polite friendly staff especially Tracy who absolutely made our afternoon special & made us feel so welcome & looked after.

Wonderful Sunday brunch. We are local but I had never been to this excellent cafe. So glad I did, nice decor friendly staff, food and coffee great. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting lovely Hythe.

An absolutely wonderful café. Really kind and attentive staff and food that was out of this world! The look of the café is so immaculate in its details and super comfy chairs and booths. A must stop to warm yourself up after a blustery stroll along the coastline.

Amazing atmosphere, really attentive and skilled chef food was amazing. Warm, good music, nothing is too much trouble.

Group of six or so visiting on a Sunday afternoon. Service was exceptionally friendly and attentive - we were shown the beautiful garden area at the back where we were seated (a must on a sunny day!). Cocktails are excellent and the food all faultless. Plenty of good veggie options but the Reuben sandwich looked like the one to beat! Would definitely recommend!!

Food was lovely and looked really fresh and of high quality ingredients, big portions, lovely location, beautiful garden area, lovely seating and lots of parasols for shade, lovely friendly staff, mentioned to us there would be a wait for food, which we didn't mind as it was a social catch up, only few down sides, old cutlery basket wasn't removed from table, new cutlery wasn't brought to us even when we recieved our food, had to remind the waiter that we hadn't got any/ said he would get some, also had to ask for another drink as wasn't offered another one, Toilets were lovely, in all honesty, I would 100% go back even though a few bad points, lovely place thank you 😊

My second visit to Ivy’s of Hythe where we were given a warm welcomed from Ashley. The food was delicious - I had mushrooms and Stilton on toast which was very tasty and my friend had a vegetarian wrap, follow by a nice cup of tea and coffee. Child and dog friendly it also has a stepped garden which is nice. The toilets are clean and there is a good sized baby changing table. Definitely worth a visit and as we are moving to Hythe soon I look forward to visiting more often.

I take my daughter here about twice a month to indulge in an amazing breakfast and spend some time in their sun soaked garden listening to music. Were currently working out way through the menu and have loved everything we've eaten so far. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the kitchen always make an effort to say hello on your way through to the garden.

Honestly, you can’t really ask for much more from this place. It’s wholesome. The food is excellent! The staff are super friendly and even the chef came and spoke to us. You can tell when a chef enjoys his job and is passionate about their food and that reflects in the meals. The decor is also so lovely, the gardens outside are the highlight for me but really it’s up to you if you choose to have a more homely feel inside. We were also surprised to find out they have live music, tapas nights, pasta nights and even pizza ovens in the future! We’re not locals to Hythe but we spend a great deal of time here and we always have our go-to favourites. I think we may have just found our new spot!
