Cafe was lovely, homemade coffee cake and cheese scone delicious, staff excellent. Will return for exploration of enticing garden centre! Good cause too- win win! Michelle

As yet I have not visited the centre yet but I will certainly be putting it on my bucket list after what I have read and seen on television about the charity

Admirable small garden centre with cafe and outside seating. The menu is currently limited to cakes and snacks until the new students gain in confidence. Well worth supporting and back to 5 star as soon as the menu is back to normal! Dogs are welcomed outside and service dogs are allowed in.

There were no clear tables we attempted to clear one ourselves but we were told of by a male chef for doing so and said there's a notice there asking you not to clear tables yourself and pointed to a makeshift cardboard sign. Which really was no use to anyone partically sighted as I am. He made us feel so unconfortable, we were only trying to help. It will be a long time before I visit there again!

Has everything you want and is done by handicapped people

Excellent facilities for everyone. Inclusive site with lovely small cafe. Good range of plants.

Great location away from noisy traffic. Friendly staff serving good food at reasonable prices. The cafe has a first floor too with a ground floor covered patio and a first floor balcony overlooking well kept garden area

Fantastic place, beautiful heathly plants for indoors and out, great quality veg plugs, absolutely delicious cakes in the cafe, lovely outdoor area. Super friendly staff and a wonderful space for the students that work here. Horticap is a very special place.

The garden centre is, without doubt, one of the best in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant has been designed to perfection with plenty of well spaced seating. Great menu as well.

A brilliant place to visit for all your gardening needs. The range of plants is extensive, the quality superb and the prices just right. There a quite a few unusual plants available too. The cafe was only serving drinks and cakes today - but the coffee was excellent and the cakes lovely (my husband went back for seconds!) We will definitely be making regular return visits to this place from now on.

Lovely nursery on the outskirts of Harrogate, plants are grown on site as part of a disability charity and there quality is excellent 👍 the new cafe is also great value and good quality

What a superb nursery, such a great variety of healthy plants. The shop looked interesting as did the cafe.

Great cafe and garden centre....dog friendly in gorgeous, sunny outside seating area. Even a little nature walk for the children. My only concern was there was no footpath on the narrow road for walkers on approach to the cafe but 10 mph speed limit in place...

just visited horticap with my sister all of the staff were very helpful and polite but the gentleman in the greenhouses was very helpful - giving us lots of good advice on which plants to choose etc - thank you for you time and patience. the plants all looked very healthy - there was a very good selection and the toasted cheese scone was an added bonus.

We always enjoy our visits to Horticap. They have a good choice of healthy, well looked after plants. The setting itself is attractive and interesting with we'll planned grounds and great little play areas for children. Even if your not a gardener Horticap can offer you a range of gifts and a cafe with some super snacks and cakes that are hard to resist. If all this is not enough then add in the excellent service from friendly staff and its hard to resist.

Really strong looking well priced plants to buy. Place is well looked after. Staff very friendly. Cafe and gift shop are a delight. Well worth a visit.

The garden center was lovely.went to cafe for dinner .Food was lovely but need to improve on service.Got my drink but it took over half hour befor I got my food.would of been better if they all came at same time.After all it. was a sandwich I ordered

Nice new cafe with lots of sheltered outdoor seating. Love the nature reserve and the plants are good quality. The garden centre staff are always willing to answer questions about plant suitability.

Food was superb for my lunch, extremely friendly staff, no idea how I have missed coming here before, but I will be back and soon.

What a gem of a cafe and garden centre. Seating inside and out. Lifts if stairs are a struggle and drinks delivered to table .Will go again.

I cannot recommend this business enough, from the customer service, to the product and delivery, i was in desperate need of something that was out of stock at the suppliers and horticap had my product instore, but unfortunately i didnt live nearby, the lady who took my order was super efficient and organised a delivery for me, absolutely 5 star customer care and service THANKYOU SO MUCH

Used cafe rather than shop. Always a good bite to eat here. Need to be before 1130 to get breakfast choices but if they have any bacon or sausage baps left they'll serve them. Becoming a favourite spot when in this bit of Harrogate.

Enjoyed a cup of Tea+Rascal,I will come again and get some spring bedding,the Plants look lovely.

Horticap is lovely place 2 see

Lots going on here to see, do, eat and shop. I was lucky enough to catch a live recording of a podcast show which I found really interesting, it was on sustainability- a topic which they seem to pay more than lip service to, this place has a strong sense of doing the right thing for people and the environment. We need more communities like this in the world! Great spot of tea and cake and we picked up some lovely ‘quirky’ (in a good way) gifts from the shop.

Had a lovely walk round the nature trail today. Will certainly visit again in the Spring.

Unfortunately very wet nice coffee plants looked very healthy but expensive.

Visited the new cafe on Yorkshire day (1st August). Enjoyed fresh coffee, locally sourced tasty cakes and cheese, with friendly and helpful service from all the staff. Outdoor seating area was fantastic on a sunny day. Glad to have had this place recommended to me, and will make sure to visit again.

Hopkins @Horticap Cafe is a must! Great food made from local ingredients reasonably priced. Fantastic coffee, 1 is never enough!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good selection of plants. Cafe food and service 1st class. Shop very good with a good selection . Nature trail very good and still being extended. Outside pond area and bird spotting hide. Lots of ongoing development to the site, will be brilliant when complete. A very enjoyable morning visit, will be going again. Highly recommend.

New Hopkins Cafe just opened this week. Great indoor and outdoor seating area. Wonderful coffee and delicious chocolate brownies and cakes, excellent value and well worth a visit. All to support adults with learning disabilities. Garden Centre and gift shop too.

A garden centre and nursery set up to give people with disabilities a chance to learn new skills and help build confidence, well worth a visit to buy those plants you need and help this worthy cause.

A very good place to go and they do a wonderful thing for young people

A great place for a drink and a snack. I can definitely recommend the coffee, which comes in an individual cafetière, so easily provides a couple of cups. A big plus here are the greenhouses with wonderful plants for sale, and a lovely garden to walk around.

The Christmas trees are superb and such good value. We will return before next Christmas for another look in the great little crafts shop.

Great place to get your gardening stuff and a lovely walk around the grounds for young children. Fabulous to see the work they do with the students. Very positive environment.

Went for our Christmas tree and stayed for coffee and a browse around the gift shop. As always we were well - treated by all staff and volunteers.

Horticap is a great little place, plants are great and cafe serves a pot of Taylor's coffee for £2:50 and you will get 2 cups from it, hope it doesn't change too much with a revamp in 2020 🌷🌷
