Went to the Sunday night quiz great atmosphere and very friendly staff if you enjoy quizzing come along you won't be disappointed

We didnt have a meal but evrrything else was great will be going again

I used to live a Sunday carvery but just lately there hadn’t been a good place to go Until now!! Well my second time at the grove and the food is amazing cooked well always hot not like other places … the atmosphere is very pleasing nice and relaxing ! And for the price it’s a perfect I won’t be dining out anywhere else but here You won’t be disappointed!! Give it a try

Had my daughters birthday here and it was fantastic the staff are brilliant and plenty of room on the dance floor for the kids and some adults to dance. Thank you

Sunday lunch here is second to none. Absolute quality and great friendly service. Nothing else to say.

Never been in the Grove before today. Pubs are not normally my thing but the welcome was so warm and friendly I felt instantly at home. Staff are so friendly and have a really great sense of humour. Bantering with regulars and colleagues alike. Booking is advised but they did squeeze us in has we hadn't booked. The food was really outstanding, home cooked Sunday Cavery 4 different meats on offer plus an array of freshly prepared vegetables. Proper home cooked Yorkshire pudding and delicious home cooked gravy like granny used to make. Family friendly and fun. Definitely going back. Quiz night and bing on Wednesday nights Kareoke on Friday nights. Might just give them a try.

Been coming to the Grove for around 40 years and we have had many new Landlords. Always been excellent staff and food. Went in yesterday for the Carvery . Not been for around 4 month. Had changed staff. Will not be going again. Think not the only one as the regulars have stopped too. The meat given was so small and the veg were dried and not of a good variety or quality. The staff when I mentioned that I thought it was a change of ownership were quite rude. No wonder the carpark was empty and only 4 tables occupied in the restaurant. Such a shame but will not go again and will certainly tell all the people that I have recommended it to in the past.

There for a wake. Not somewhere we'd normally go. No hand pump real ale but choice of larger & bottles. Buffet made on site which was fabulous, would definitely recommend that Staff friendly & helpful

Good quality carvery, pleasant staff. Made a great effort to cater for specialist dietary requirements for one of our party.

Credit were credit is due did have a poor meal here a while ago and returned this weekend to give it another try and we were not disappointed Food was Great hot and cleared the plate glad we went back well done chef and staff

Clean enough, plenty happening throughout the week but it doesn't come across as exactly friendly

This place is amazing for Sunday carvery. Friendly staff and a good variety of drinks at reasonable prices. Friday disco and karaoke every 2 weeks best night to go .

Great pub friendly locals , well stocked bar and good bar staff. They do food too a lovely roast on Sundays .check during week too .personally I go for the karioke myself which is fortnightly st the mo but will be weekly soon .Always a good night on karioke night !

Dog friendly. Always a winner for me. Food was better than average. We loved everything that was served up. Top meal, great staff, lovely setting. I will certainly go again.

Had a Sunday carvery,.... average. The pub is nice and the staff attentive without being "in your face", but other pubs offer more tasty meals.

This is best carvery meal I have ever had in the Doncaster area. We had large meals so had a little of everything even had room.for my veg. Two minor points you need to book before hand but for a small party they try to accommodate. The other salt pot didn't work but according to my partner this isn't a bad thing. So least to say we will be back !!

Been barred on 26th June 2019 for no reason just letting u all know they smoke in kitchen over food and they are two faced I was a regular for 5 months and Matt who works behind bar decided to make a lie up about me saying I threatened to smash bottles over his head outside I asked for video evidence which they wont supply yes I am angry so would anyone else I hold my hands up if I did but I was with my 82yr old grandad its if ya FACE FITS IN HERE

Never been before( or I don’t recall it ) but cracking food (Carvery) and nice staff generally . My wife and I won one ( Large) Free meal through Doncaster Rovers Lottery but turned down the pudding and Coffee as we felt very full as the main meal was lovely. Thank you 👍👍👍⚽️🍽🍽

Waiting for a taxi after a drink in this lovely place, couldn't get one, so the landlady gave us a lift to our hotel. First class.

My wife, who is in a wheelchair, and I called in here for an early evening meal. The disabled access to the Lounge was faultless. However, upon entering, the locals at the bar fell silent - not the warmest of welcomes, not made any better by a dog rolling around on the carpet? That said, the barman was very attentive, serving our drinks and taking our food order. He even asked the locals to moderate their language (once they started speaking again). My wife had a gammon steak and I had a "gut busting" mixed grill with steak, gammon, sausages, mushrooms, grilled tomato, peas & chips. The food was hot and plentiful, but both pieces of gammon were extremely salty. Fair play to the staff, both the barman and the chef came to our table to check that everything was OK - they did offer to replace the gammon but couldn't guarantee the replacement would be any better. All in all an OK experience, unlikely to be repeated in a hurry.

Fantastic well run place with great atmosphere, the pints always taste better here. Oh and the food is amazing.

Called in Sunday after doing some shopping and it was lovely. Loads of choice. A proper home cooked sunday dinner. Definitely worth a visit.
