An excellent venue for my evening birthday celebrations. Environment was superb, food delicious and great to have live music and excellent service from the team - highly recommend G&T

Love Gregory & Tapping (Kieron makes this place!!) We have been coming here for the last few months, including running an event in Christmas. Kieron is so welcoming, professional and helpful. He makes the place what it is - unique and local, where you feel welcomed back every time.

The food was absolutely delicious - I’d like to make that clear- but the service was a real let down. It’s table service but when no one acknowledges you or brings you a menu for over 15 mins when you’re actually sat in the middle area right in front of the counter it’s very disappointing. Getting anyone attention was challenging and I wouldn’t say the place was packed but they clearly didn’t have a good enough system in place to ensure the staff were working smartly and together. When you hear the waiteress call out a coffee order then say ‘did you get that’ and the barista grunt a response, followed by the waitress then saying ‘sorry but you didn’t acknowledge it so I wasn’t sure you heard’ … you know all is not well. I had a glass of white wine which was nice, my partner had a glass of red but it was very very very chilled not room temperature in the slightest. Again just not great for somewhere that advertises themselves as a bar. BUT like I say, their festive special food was delicious!

It is an utterly charming place with superb service and delightful food in a favoured spot in the old station but I was not expecting such a bill.

We ordered our food and when delivered an item that we had not ordered was bought to the table when we advised that we had not ordered the item the waiter insisted that we had. Service after that was rude. Asked where the toilets were and the respond was somewhere in the centre. Asked for the bill and the proceed to charge us for the item that we had not ordered. When I queried it they just oh I know we charged you and the took it off . No apology. No thanks. The food was ok but service terrible. Please don’t work in the service industry if you don’t enjoy that job! Would never go there or recommend just because of the waiters

Amazing service , great ‘decorations’ in character with this historic building . Seating inside and outside . Had the cheese board , will come back next time I am in the country . Certainly worth visiting

We stopped here for some lunch on a very wet and crowded Saturday. There is a good menu for light lunch and nibbles and prices were surprisingly good. The service was efficient and also engaging, paying attention to us throughout our visit. The food was lovely too - we had a mix of toasted sandwiches and flatbreads. It was a nice atmosphere inside and we weren't crowded at all.

This was a nice place to grab a glass of wine while we were waiting for our entry time for Windsor Castle. Service was good, and the wine was quite nice. It's a very cute little bar/pub.

Really nice place to go at anytime of day, lovely staff, quick service, delicious platters of meats and cheese, great wine. Amazing cookies / brownies! The owners obviously know their stuff as everything was good!! There is also a lovely vibe there and a lot of character. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely little place but service awful. When we arrived we asked if it was open and waitress muttered something quietly, not welcoming. Had to call waitress over to take order. I asked for a syrup in my coffee to be told “we aren’t Starbucks”. Waitress really let this place down

Lovely independent wine, gin & cheese bar. Fantastic selection of wines. Super cheeses and accompaniments. They also have a fantastic local Windsor Gin by the Tarbay Botanist. Lovely outside & inside seating. Great service. You can buy wine, gin and things to go too.

I would love this place for location and garden but every time I go it disappoints massively. Service is very amateur - young people who don't care - service is very bad and unprofessional - sorry but it needs an overhaul, such a waste of a place - staff sitting around drinking the owners profits - such a shame

I booked in advance, but there were tables available. So please do enquire if in Bray for the day. I had notified whilst booking it was my Birthday. Living alone, the person checking in my booking and lovely server both gave me greetings. That was special for me. I ordered the Potage of Veg. A soup created with a medley of ground vegetables with Turmeric. Perfect starter for me. I love my soup, especially with fantastic crusty bread. Next course was the Roast Beef, Yorky, Roast Potatoes, long stemmed broccoli and a side bowl of root vegetables. The gravy was certainly enough for me too. The beef had retained its fluid and fell apart with the knife. I had no fat on my plate when finished. It was rendered so well, it too burst with flavour as it melted in my mouth. The veg was served to the bite. Roast potatoes were done like I wish they were everywhere else. There is no salt and pepper on the table. You will not need them. The seasoning was perfect. The Servers were conscious of making sure all was to my satisfaction. I could also hear all the servers engaging in light conversations with all the other guests. It added to a warm atmosphere. Dogs are welcomed. I found they were well controlled and added a homely touch to the experience. I had always wanted to try fine dining, but in a relaxed setting. I decided this year for my birthday I would. I’m glad I picked The Crown. Well done to all.
