We only really ended up here because most other places in Warwick were either full or closed, but this turned out to be a good thing. The service was really friendly and welcoming. We were given plenty of time and space to look at the menu and decide what we wanted without feeling pressured to order quickly. The menu had a nice range of items which were well described so it was clear what you were getting. Everything we had was beautifully cooked and tasted very fresh. There was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant and it was great to see lots of families eating there. Just watch out for the 10% "discretionary" service charge which is automatically added to your bill. We didn't notice this until we had already left and it added quite a hefty amount to an already high bill. It's hardly "discretionary" if you add it automatically without telling or checking with the customer - it's just another charge.

We've been here on three occasions, and the food here is very tasty (although definitely not cheap - none of the dishes come with rice included so you need to purchase it separately). On the last two occasions we were disappointed to see that around a third of the items on the menu were not available, usually seafood. I urge anybody to ring first and ASK IF THERE IS ANYTHING UNAVAILABLE on the menu that day, before booking. Favourite dishes: Salt & Pepper Squid Sticky Chicken Chicken Massaman Curry Final note: beware of meals with two chillies, they are very spicy!

Portion was extremely small, Thai red curry was served in something no bigger than a coffee cup. Extremely disappointing!! The side portion of tofu was very dehydrated, meager and tasteless. The sticky rice was not fresh but rather a boil in the bag instant rice. Not restaurant standard. All done to maximise profit with no effort put into the meal. Felt conned. Will not return to Giggling Squid.

The standard on saturday at Warwick was not good. There were 5 of us , the mains were full of bread to fill it out…hardly any meat …nothing like experience we had at Christmas. It was a Mother’s Day lunch before the rugby and I have reflected on it over the weekend so much so I felt I must write a review. £200 and very underwhelming for a place I’ve always enjoyed…starter olatter was cold too! As I had guests I didn’t want to fuss at the table just very disappointing.

We had a wonderful lunch here. The kids loved it as much as the adults. Staff were attentive and very welcoming. A very big thank you to Sylvia nothing was ever to much, you are an amazing host !!!

Interesting menu, good food, charming service.

Warwick Giggling Squid. Great menu, we had the lunch Tapas. Lots of selection of excellent tasty food served hot. Spicy Thai and mild food too to choose from. Service faultless from happy and welcoming front of house staff. Have also experienced their Stratford restaurant, just as good. No complaints from me.

This is our second time back to Windsor and to the Giggling Squid. The service and food was 10/10. The cocktails were delicious and the staff were amazing. So helpful, happy and attentive. We will be back. This is the best Giggling Squid we have been to and we have been to a few of them around the UK.

Stunningly decorated and delicious food we came to celebrate our engagement with friends and had a wonderful time after our proposal at warwick castle.

Good food but many dishes missing from the menu

We ordered fish & vegetarian dishes - perhaps that was our mistake, as they seems to be assembled rather than cooked. Got the impression that the overpriced mushroom dishes were bought in & reheated. Papaya salad good. We probably wouldn't revisit - it was average & rather expensive. Realised it's part of a chain it explains the experience. Polite & well meaning staff

We booked a table as we thought that it would be busy but the place was relatively empty with 2 tables with people sat at. We ordered drinks which were relatively quick to arrive. For food we had a sharing platter which some seafood items on it wasn't available so they replaced the items with other items that were on the platter. These came out cold which we thought was a little odd but later on while we were there we noticed other people who had ordered similar complained multiple times that it was cold each time they brought it out again to them. For the main I had the Thai red curry with coconut rice which both of these were really good and would have these again. The other food which was ordered wasn't as good. Overall, the service dropped off while we were there even though the place was quiet with only a few tables filled by the time we were leaving. It was hard to get someones attention and the attentiveness dropped. The servers seemed to change while we were there, think they had gone on break the ones who had greeted us first and took our order. The staff seemed friendly though, especially I believe it was the manager and the senior staff member. The place seemed clean. There were issues with the card machine which meant we couldn't pay using card (which they were trying to resolve but unsuccessfully) and one of the people in the group had to go to a cash point down the road to get cash out so we could pay the bill. The location is good.

The food and service is excellent. The atmosphere and decor is bright, colourful and inviting. However the reason for not awarding 5 stars is there were as many as 9 menu items unavailable on the evening, including Chicken Satay !!! In addition the service charge is 15%, but a staff member assured us they receive some of it.

Always a pleasure to return, it's been a while. It is the perfect post racing treat.

First time ordered for delivery and 1 item was missing. I called the restaurant for then to rectify the issue. I was told to do a complaint to the delivery company and have it refunded.they didn't even try to send the missing item for us to be satisfied with the food. The food was supposed to be great but was ruined with the missing item. And also, I was only refunded 80p for the missing rice. This is unbelievable. even in local takeaways you can't get a portion of rice for 80p.

Came here for a works meal outing. Booking the table was simple on the website. We turned up and seated very quickly, service was very attentive and overall a tasty meal. Plenty of selection at reasonable prices. Very good and definitely recommend.

Yesterday I visited this restaurant for the second time. I was blown away by the team managing it. From cooks to waiters and waitresses, all of them have been so amazing, sociable and helpful with us. They were helping with my daughter curiosity and taken her for a stroll to give us a few minutes to eat. The food was divine and we felt very comfortable at all times. Thank you Team!

Went in for a meal with my girlfriend and our friends, the starters were incredible, especially the pork belly bites. The mains were amazing too, the beef gra pao (i think) was really good and quite spicy. Cocktails and wines also very tasty! Our server Siri couldnt do enough for us either☺️

We had two pad thai (one vegetarian and one chicken), the salmon bites and the morning glory. We recently went to Thailand so maybe our standards are very high. The texture and consistency was not bad, but we both thought that the noodles lacked flavour (not salty or acidic enough). The puffy fried tofu also seemed a bit stale (quite hard as if it had been kept to the side after marinating for a while). That being said, the food was not bad and we ate everything. The service was good and the food came very quickly and for the price we didn’t feel like we got ripped off. The salmon bites were nice but the morning glory also lacked some flavour.

We walked in to ask for a table. The staff member was on what sounded like a personal phone call! She peered round the corner at us and continued her call. We left as were clearly inconveniencing her!

Really excellent and delicious food. Much better than usual fare. Varied and unusual dishes. We had a sharing platter, (including rice balls), then a pad noodle dish, and a bottle of Chenin. Really beautiful.

I forgot when I booked that I had asked for a quiet table - upon arrival we were asked where we’d like to sit as I’d mentioned a quiet table. We chose to sit in the restaurant area by the main doors. I was a little worried we might be forgotten as we were the only table in this area. I didn’t need to worry as all of the staff were fantastic - very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as always and arrived promptly. They even noticed the birthday cards on the table and bought out a little desert with happy birthday written on which I thought was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend giggling squid Warwick! Excellent food. My mixed fish dish was delicately flavoured with a kick, but not too hot. Service was very good. Prices reasonable. We had a bottle of Thai rose wine (a first for me) which was good.

Having had a truly awful meal at Giggling Squid Bury St Edmunds, we came here with some trepidation. This was immediately dispelled by the warm welcome from Sylwia, the lovely young Polish waitress who served us throughout. We opted for the tapas plates; as one of us is gluten-intolerant and each tapas plate contained at least one item including gluten, Sylwia swapped that item for another. The food was beautifully presented, hot, tasty and delicious. Also the restaurant was beautifully decorated with a lovely ambience. We will certainly be coming back.

It’s a hit and miss for us. Some of the dishes stood out whereas rest were not upto mark. The beef dishes, salmon starter, Thai curry and rice were among the nice ones whereas noodle and salad were the worst. Most of the items are deep fried which came as a shame especially for salad. The portions were good and filling. Good staff but ambience I prefer Leamington Spa. Over all a good experience. Visited Sep 23

Fabulous freshly cooked food with excellent service. Great location for Warwick castle or event in the evening. The place is deceptive as it is so well kept on the inside as much larger than you think.

One of the nicest Thai restaurants ive had the fortune to eat in. Food was fabulous, quick and delicous. Restaurant is a beautiful space and the service was brilliant. Thanks to Larry who served us, he was polite and completely professional. Highly recommended.
