German Doner Kebab in Tunbridge Wells

Food was very good then service was also very good

I am a regular customer of GDK. Today the kebab felt very dry and chewy. The taste of original GDK which we are a fan of is gone. Both me and my wife had stomachache shortly after the meal. I hope GDK fixes this issue immediately.

Wow, the atmosphere as you walk in the shop, is amazing and is clean. Mimet is professional as well as his colleagues. He made it clear and repeated my order. Will visit again soon!

Extremely Unpleasant Experience – Poor Customer Service I visited German Doner in Tunbridge Wells around 4 PM two days ago and had an extremely unpleasant experience due to the unprofessional attitude of a staff member. I ordered via the digital till but forgot to remove the spicy sauce from my doner box. I immediately informed a staff member at the main till that I didn’t want any spicy sauce — he acknowledged it and I assumed it would be handled. When I saw my order (No. 125) come up on the screen, it wasn’t ready yet, but I noticed a different staff member (a skinny guy who had just started his shift) preparing it. I reminded him that I didn’t want spicy sauce at all — including the dip — and asked for it to be replaced. His response was shockingly rude. Instead of simply resolving the issue, he got visibly annoyed, brought over the receipt, and argued that I hadn’t removed the spicy sauce when ordering. I explained again that I had already told his colleague, but he kept repeating that he had just started his shift and didn’t know. Frankly, that’s not my problem — internal communication between staff is their responsibility, not the customer’s. He kept saying, “Why are you like this? I’m just working,” which made no sense in the context. His English was poor, and it felt like he was trying to dramatize the situation instead of helping. He even accused me of shouting — which I wasn’t — and at one point flat-out refused to serve me. This whole scene played out in front of my wife and other customers, leaving me embarrassed and frustrated over something that could’ve been easily fixed with basic customer service skills. I’ve eaten here before and never had an issue, but this staff member’s behavior was completely unacceptable and has made me seriously reconsider ever coming back.

Just not doner! The meat was dry and tasteless. Nothing like proper independent kebab places and nothing like doners I've had in Berlin either. Also, they wouldn't serve tap water. Only water wrapped in single use plastic. The staff were good though even when I got cross about the tap water situation.

The donner keeps coming luke warm or cold

You need to get better at being accurate as to where your drivers are, my food is cold once again. Employ better people, people that know maybe how to use Google maps and spend ages chatting to their friends on the phone whilst doing so. Your drivers are unfocused and lazy.

Delivery driver delivered food on the wrong adresss

Everything was cold and I had ordered a plain doner box but instead received one with salad and the chips were covered in something hot .. had to bin the whole order 😡

the donor sandwiches were very nice but not what we asked for. I wanted extra onions and there were no onions and no feta in my friends donor, but yes they were still delicious
