Kings Fish & Chips in Tunbridge Wells

Used a couple of times. Good quality, unfortunately part of order left out on the last occasion.

Delivery fine. Food very greasy & smallest piece of fish I’ve seen for a long time. Chip portion very minimal. Really not worth the money

Some bones in the fish, but these were medium cod at best when ordering large compared to other local fish and chip shops. Overall okay but Marino's, St Johns etc better quality and value

Food arrived on time was lovely and hot really tasty. Only thing lacking was the cheese on the cheesy chips was literally a sprinkle

I placed my order just before 17.30 and our food arrived just after 19.45 this was due to the delivery driver who had collected our order but didn’t deliver it and took it back to the shop they cooked us fresh food and then sent it to us

Ordered food with delivery time estimated at between 15 and 20 minutes. It was over an hour before the order was out for delivery and watching the courier on the apps map feature they went to quite a few drops before mine, so when food finally arrived it was cold. Will definitely be thinking about ordering food from the app again!!

Absolutely lovely. The chips are proper chip shop chips. The battered sausages were so tasty and not sickly like they sometimes can be. They even do a fried mars bar which was delicious. Truly an enjoyable meal and will definitely order here in the future. Thank you to your amazing chefs and staff!

First time going, was overcharged and didn’t get the correct order.

This place really has gone up! I loved it before and then it changed owners and I wasn’t as much as a fan HOWEVER there seems to have been a shift and more things added to the menu! Honestly I would rate this place now a 10/10! Chips were on point! Sausage in batter was to die for! Really good portion as well! The only thing I would fault would be the curry sauce tasted a bit watery and not alot of flavour but everything else was amazing! Great customer service as well! Im lucky to live 5 minutes away so this is my regular place to dine at! Thanks guys! You made me feel better considering I have a bad ear infection! Love yas!

The best fish and chips around by a country mile. They offer a good range of fish including Cod, Haddock, Plaice and Skate. Everything is available Gluten free on request which is really nice to see. Telephone orders are accepted and they have the food freshly prepared ready for when you arrive so there no queuing! Top marks to Kings Fish and Chips! The best fish and chips in Tunbridge wells by far.

Very poor tonight Foods normally amazing but tonight was a real disappointment chips tasted hard and horrible and battered sausage was over cooked. Only decent thing was the pickled eggs 😭

Quick and efficient order through to delivery. Food was fresh and not oily. Plenty of salt and vinegar on the chips. Overall a lovely dinner!

Lovely quality but disappointed that the burgers were completely plain with no salad cheese or onion, chip portion also very small, it’s a shame that the quantities were so small but yet expensive.

The spring roll was so hard (maybe microwaved) half of it was inedible and it was so pale in colour it looked very uninviting. The cod was a horrible texture and flavour so we barely ate any and the chips were average at best. Very disappointing.

Luke warm at best and a real rip off on price. The large cod was made for midgets, which at nearly 13 quid is a travesty. Quite greasy and unsatisfying. Wouldn’t repeat.

First time buying from kings , was not disappointed , cod was nice , batter was crisp , home made tartare sauce was very tasty , chips could of done with an extra 40 seconds but thats just my personal preference ... very nice you can tell they put effort in :)

Cod was good, but the chips were old which was a shame and the beef burger wasn’t good, oily taste, the beef was hard in the bun.

A bit disappointed, considering I was told that all the cod is skinless, and to find the large piece of cod I ordered had skin on it, so by the time I removed all the skin, I was left with a half battered piece of cod that kinda defeats the object of fish and chips.

There's such a range in chippie portion sizes, I think descriptions would be helpful. The large chips was enough between my partner and I, but the days where you can get a single large portion of chips to feed a family are long gone (at least down south!). Asked for salt and vinegar on them but they tasted unseasoned. Nice sized pieces of fish, tasted good and freshly cooked. Great spam fritter, disappointed that they forgot my drink!

They do brilliant Gluten Free fish and chips. I have Celiac Disease and struggle to get GF fish and chips.

Retained to much oil and all three of us got dodgy stomachs the next day.

Food is good but that young girl with the glasses has a no manners and is very disrespectful. She seems to have the confidence to pick and choose what customers she gives good customer service as well. Other staff members have been nice otherwise. I will not be coming here again, there are many other food options in Tunbridge Wells where staff are respectful to customers.

This place has new owners ,for many years it was a place I would not use. The cod and the chips were to my liking, but at £12.50. Anyone who has avoided this place in the past will have a pleasant surprise. Note for owner 2 slices of lemon for that price Would keep you number 1.

Normally have good food from here. Was disappointed to pie was rock hard on top and gravy was drying up inside chips tasted reheated. On bright note the battered burger was amazing

Superb fresh chips and the fish is generous and well cooked. Don't forget a tub of curry sauce! Just eaten here again, absolutely top notch. Enormous piece of cod beautifully cooked. Excellent.
