What a disappointment! Priory Farm has always been a favourite for our family but not any more. I don't know who has hijacked the menu or if the chef has changed but today's offerings were distinctly underwhelming. The previous menu had a choice of jacket potatoes with a variety of fillings, likewise with the sandwiches on offer. Not any more. The choice is limited with small portions for the high prices charged. We won't be back.

This is a very nice cafe. They are well equipped for the huge number of people who visit everyday. Good points – this is a lovely environment to be in. The flowers and plants are beautiful. The staff are all lovely and make me feel welcome. The service is quick and efficient. The food is generally tasty and of good quality. They serve a lovely range of cakes, the ones made in house are especially good. Bad points – on behalf of many regulars, please could management review their menu through the eyes of someone who is trying to be healthy and restrict fat in their diet. I don’t expect healthy cake and wouldn’t want to change that, but everything on the savoury menu is also crammed full of melted cheese, bechamel sauce, deep fried items etc. Everything is carby and loaded with fat. It would be amazing to have even 1 or 2 healthy options which don’t cost the earth. (The salads are expensive at £12.50 - £14 and also all involve cheese and dressing. The egg and avo options have butter and oil added). Maybe a jacket potato option? Or one sandwich, which is not deep fried/cheesy/fatty? Or some humous or sushi or anything which does not leave you feeling like your arteries are clogging before you leave, pretty please. Secondly – many portion sizes are tiny. The food is not cheap, beware most of the bread options (eggs on toast, avo on toast etc) are over £7.50-11 per portion and are served with one very thin small slice of bread. So you’re spending c.£12 with a drink to come away still hungry. It would be very cheap and easy to offer a second piece of bread (or at least don’t serve the first piece thinly sliced and tiny). I saw the flatbread special looked lovely, but again one tiny piece of flatbread for £12.50, which wouldn’t fill up a small lady/teenager, let alone a man with a decent appetite. Other than these 2 gripes, it’s a really lovely place to visit, with tons of parking and quick, friendly service. Fingers crossed for a healthy menu option in future.

Not a great experience. My partner and I went for breakfast. We had to wait until we had finished breakfast for the coffee to arrive. The food was not good quality or value. The toast was untoasted and the portion size was really small for the money. Eggs not cooked properly, disappointing.

It is a lovely cafe, much improved, but sadly the plates were warmer than the food on it. The scrambled eggs were plentiful but cold and my poached egg brioche - the eggs were colder than the plate, not a good start. We are very much against food waste so we ate it anyway, even though it was cold. The tea for two (a teapot) was brought quickly but the pot was only 3/4 full, so we sent it back for a top up. That might be a policy due to H&S but maybe the pot could be bought with an extra pot of boiling water for topping up.

Always busy because of the children's play area. Often difficult to park anywhere near the building and rough gravel drives. £7 for a slice of quiche. £8 for a salad. £5 for a kid's portion of sausage, chips and beans. Very poor value for money...

Nice little drive into the country, great service and coffee whilst kids can play outside. Also has the option of picnic benches outside so plenty of fresh air and an outside server doing mainly drinks. Can get a little busy at times
